I think push square really need to review their 'review' process. So because Sammy got out of bed the wrong side one day and "wasn't really in the mood for it" the game is scored a 6, which can definitely influence peoples likelihood of purchasing and supporting the developer.
At least have two or more staff have input into reviews and even have opposing scores.
@hypnotoad absolutely. Used to love cex, but their ps5 scalping prices have really put me off ever shopping there, and I'm finding new copies of games at base are cheaper than 2nd hand at cex nowadays (ratchet, returnal etc)
In the UK you can buy a new physical copy from base for £23 or second hand from cex for £22 so not a great sale by any stretch of the imagination.
Finished my second playthrough last night, first time on ps5. The ps5 patch has done wonders. Enjoyed the story a lot more this time around, though still no need for 'that' scene
Why would this be a free upgrade when ghost of tsushima, death stranding, spiderman, gta5 and no doubt last of us will be charged? Have CDPR explicitly said it will be free?
-it was delayed due to covid (and not forcing crunch) -there has been too much coverage/content shown (none of which you had to watch) -there won't be a playstation sequel (could say that about every single game released)
I found outerworlds boring, I bought it based on the review from this site. Respawning enemies, confusing map and waypoints. Fallout 4 is much better in my opinion.
@batwing47 the lack of whistle blowing just seems odd though, the amount of devs and marketing people that must have known the state of it and were against it being released, you'd have thought some stories would have came out by now
Urgh multiplayer. My brief experiences of multiplayer are disgusting angry teens being idiots and if you don't play the game for 20hrs a day at release theres no point even trying to join in and catch up later. Oh and a money pit.
That said my favourite growing up was team fortress, damn I miss that
Has anyone here played the pc version? Assuming better visuals, more npc's and traffic? The core gameplay and mechanics are surely identical. I do fear many people are holding out for a ps5 version that will still not live up to their expectations and the hate will start again.
For the record it's a good game, nowhere near a 10 (or a 3). Some great motion cap'd conversations, characters and excellent soundtrack
Just playing through 2 for the second time, it left such a bad taste in my mouth its taken a year to play it again. On ps5 the 60fps is amazing. I only had a base ps4 so it now also looks like a new game too. Just at the aquariam with Ellie so I know it won't be long until I'm forced to play as 'her'....
Must be a nightmare trying to find the trigger and then fix some of these bugs where they only occur for some people. I completed the game and had none of these quest related bugs.
They can't be expecting many digital sales when it reappears surely? Anyone who really wants it already has it (and now probably far cheaper than it'll cost on the PS store) and those with a digital ps5 will wait for the native ps5 release.
Haven't they only recently split the team into two (or maybe not even done so yet) with half working on cyberpunk and half on witcher? I think this will be a long way off yet
@Dezzy70 oh I have one (argos December) and another from smyths in December for my mate - glad those days of constantly refreshing websites are long gone!
Anyone (like myself) that ever questioned what the fuss is about between 30/60fps, try out the latest 'the last of us 2' patch which let's you switch between them in the options menu on the fly.
Could the ps5 handle fidelity mode @60fps and its a dev issue, or are we already seeing hardware constraints that will lead to a ps5 pro in the not too distant future?
@Old-Red I've had this issue a few times since the last update. Controller has plenty of life left when turning the console fully off, when I come to play the next day it won't even turn the console on without being plugged in. Something is causing it drain at random overnight
I'd guess the video was put together by devs at some stage in production to try and help their cause of telling the execs, who clearly weren't listening to them, that the game needed to be delayed (again). Obviously didn't work.
That said, I'm very much in the 'got it, played it, really enjoyed it' camp
@nessisonett tempted to give this a go then, been a few years since having an F1 game pretty sure my last one was Button and alonso at mclaren. Could be the last decent one before EA ruin it....

Looking good. Doubtful it'll hit that release date but we've waited this long so not a big issue if its delayed. Glad there is a native ps5 version. Hopefully it won't be held back too much by the 'old' generation

Haptic feedback, adaptive triggers?
Re: PS Store Sales Charts: Cyberpunk 2077 Was June's Best-Selling PS4 Game Following PS Store Return
There must be a lot of digital ps5's out there - that's the only explanation for this

Re: Soapbox: What Makes Returnal So Special
It'll have to be around the £30 mark for me to consider giving this a go
Re: Death Stranding Director's Cut PS5 Upgrade Costs $10
Very generous pricing, that's much better.
Sold my ps4 copy though, once was more than enough for me with this game
Re: Soapbox: Why I'm Less Excited for Deathloop on PS5 Than I Should Be
@Brydontk which surely renders that point pointless then
Re: Soapbox: Why I'm Less Excited for Deathloop on PS5 Than I Should Be
So your excitement is dampened because:
-it was delayed due to covid (and not forcing crunch)
-there has been too much coverage/content shown (none of which you had to watch)
-there won't be a playstation sequel (could say that about every single game released)
Re: Feature: The 10 Most Anticipated PS5, PS4 Games for the Rest of 2021
Mine are god of war and gran turismo.....
Already into second half of the year, so many on this list I can't see making it. Haven't seen a single screenshot of witcher 3 either.
Re: GTA 6 Release Window Rumours Pick Up Steam
I'd rather them crack on and get on with it rather than spending time and resources releasing gta 5 yet again

Can't wait for the comments section when people have to buy gta5 for the third time

Certainly reminds me of the opening scenes (albeit in daylight). I guess nico can go home after today's shoot is over
Re: Sony Under Heavy Fire for Handling of Indies on PS Store
What do these indie games have in common - they are digital. Sony has everyone by the balls
Re: Cyberpunk 2077 Stability 'Satisfactory', Says CDPR, More 'General' Improvements in Development
@Shepherd_Tallon yeah i did get emotionally invested in panam then by the end it's just nothing. There's a great game lurking in there somewhere....
Re: Cyberpunk 2077 Stability 'Satisfactory', Says CDPR, More 'General' Improvements in Development
@Shepherd_Tallon you didn't fall in love with Panam or Judy?!
Re: UK Sales Charts: Mario's Hole in One Forces Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart to Settle for Third
Oh come on, who forgot to buy their weekly copy of GTA5?!

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart?
Random question, but are mandatory loading screens usually counted within the 'total time to complete a game' or just the time actually spent playing?
I wonder if the lack of loading on ps5 will make all games appear shorter.

Love reading the comments on abandoned articles, everybody treading carefully enough to be able to say 'I knew it' whichever way this goes
Re: PS5 Game Abandoned Now Proving Its Outsourcing Studios Exist
Did they outsource the smoke on the campfire in the 'photo realistic' trailer? Because that needs some work

Re: Deal: Physical PS5 Games Get Significant Price Cuts
Been using base.com for a little while now - how come they can sell them so 'cheap' yet presumably still make a profit on them to make it worthwhile.

Just checked CEX UK and the 4 nearest stores to me (talking a 10 mile radius) are hoarding 14 ps5's and still trying to sell them for £750

Re: First Impressions: F1 2021 Shifts Up a Gear with New Story Mode, Two-Player Career, and More
Is this worth getting without a racing wheel? I sold mine a while back as I didn't have the room for it
Re: Cyberpunk 2077 Crash Rates Charted in Official CDPR Graph
Surely the number of crashes are falling as fewer people play the game over time. Is this a playstation only graph? Pretty useless graph really.
That said, on ps5 I really enjoyed it despite its shortcomings. If you trash the game without having played it then your opinion holds no weight.
