Update: If you needed further evidence of Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart PS5 bundles releasing in France, well, here they are. Real, physical hardware boxes featuring Insomniac Games' platformer on the cover. So far, these have only released in France, but we'll let you know if they're made available elsewhere.

Original Story: Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart looks set to receive a PlayStation 5 hardware bundle in France this week, following multiple reports. Earlier in the week, we saw some hazy images from a warehouse which seemed to confirm the package, although we were unable to verify the pictures. Now, official box art has been uncovered by Station of Play.

It’s worth noting that this is not a custom hardware design, and simply includes a standard PS5, a DualSense controller, and a copy of Insomniac’s new game. It’s scheduled to release this Friday with an expected price point of €569.99 (~$694), and will presumably sell out in seconds. Station of Play claims that around 10,000 to 12,000 bundles will be made available.

There’s no word on this bundle arriving in other countries, but given that Sony has yet to officially announce it for France, it’s certainly not impossible. Bundles like this obviously make a lot of sense, but PS5 has been in-and-out of stock since launch, so many weren’t expecting one until this situation stabilised. We’ll contact the company for more information.
