What makes a game/studio AAA? What are the requirements?

@nofriendo if you add any of the three essential games mentioned in the article to your library, they are yours to keep/download/play at any point providing you remain subscribed to PS+.

The games you mention were part of PS+ extra and you do not own them. Think of that like Netflix etc - games come and go from the service.

It must have been an outstanding year for gaming on ps5, for gran turismo (which doesn't come around very often) to not even make the top ten....

Hardly need a crystal ball or degree in journalism to predict 2023 will be a better year for ps5 than those preceeding it

We can then add you to our group. We usually race all sorts of tracks and categories Sundays 8pm-11.30ish so just drop in whenever. With your setup you'll no doubt be way better than most of us.

On the game if you then head to multiplayer and search for rooms with just friends you'll join the lobby.

If you open the roulette ticket and pin your hopes on a new car or a million credits, then it's no wonder you're disappointed. See it as a daily 'reward' of 5k or a camshaft for a car you don't own and anything above that is a bonus.

An excellent early Christmas present, great timing. Shame the combat is still a bit janky but the story, world and music more than make up for that.

Doesn't come as a surprise sadly. What does take the p*** is this is the first opportunity for PC gamers to buy it, whereas some of those loyal to PS have bought it 3 times and still pay more

@frabbit edith finch is available now to download (ps5 version). I had to find it via the ps store though, it's not showing in the game catalogue

Strange how the mind and memories work - watching that didn't look any different to how I remember it did all those years ago.

To be interesting, the sequel would need to be so far removed from the original it would be better spent on a new IP.

Can't see psvr2 being any cheaper than a ps5 console

I've been lucky enough to borrow a copy of the last of us from a friend who paid full price. Its an understatement to say I'd be disappointed if I'd have spent £70 on it.
For me, experiencing the story, voice acting etc for the first time on ps3 was amazing. This brings nothing new apart from a lick of paint, even to the point where Ellie still runs out from cover into the path of enemies only to remain unseen.
To say this is the 'definitive' version and was held back by previous technology kind of makes a mockery of every game currently being released that is cross gen.

Found it quite underwhelming compared to the first game.
Hoping dead island 2 might be enjoyable but will definitely be waiting for reviews on that

The section in RE8 with the dolls is just going to be too much to handle in VR

I thought that was a very good and fair review given the circumstances of this release.

Well it's summer here, people are outside and on holiday and there are no lockdowns. As for software sales, I might be tempted to buy 2 good games in quick succession at £50, definitely 1 max at £70

If there was some sort of cheaper upgrade path for those who bought the original(s) that would be fair enough. As it stands it's an absurd price.

Extra for me. Plenty of games on there that interest me that I wouldn't necessarily have bought, seems like great value.
Disappointed that spiderman is just the PS4 version (I'm probably the only person that hasn't played it)
