Sony has introduced its latest offer to the PS Store, and this time it's the Critics' Choice sale.
It runs from now until 25th February 2026, and as always, it contains thousands of digital goodies to browse through.
To make that experience a little easier to manage, we've put together a shorter list of games we wholeheartedly recommend.
Every game featured here has at least a 7/10 on Push Square, and they're all at their lowest price points — some lower than ever before.
Discounted prices are shown in bold, and games with a new, lowest-ever price are bold and underlined.

Enough chit-chat: here are our recommendations for the Critics' Choice sale.
1000xRESIST (PS5)
$13.99/£11.19 (-30%)
1000xRESIST is all in on story, and this laser focus allows it to tell one of the most captivating and intriguing experiences you can have in video games. This sci-fi adventure sees an alien disease almost wipe out humanity, but one person is immune, and they rebuild society underground by cloning her. Combining visual novel elements with exploration, it's not the most challenging game to play, but its narrative more than makes it worthwhile.
A Plague Tale: Innocence (PS5)
$9.99/£8.74 (-75%)
A Plague Tale: Innocence is the best kind of surprise: an unexpectedly strong historical outing with a likeable cast of characters and unique stealth mechanics. The fantasy underpinnings may not be to everyone’s tastes – especially as the tale somewhat limps to its conclusion – but Asobo Studio’s outstanding use of the PS5 hardware, including the DualSense, make it a must play for fans of story-based adventures.

Age of Mythology: Retold (PS5)
$19.49/£14.61 (-35%)
Age of Mythology: Retold is a remastered version of Ensemble Studio’s hugely influential 2002 original. With a fresh coat of HD paint, a visual overhaul for every game unit, and brand new animations, Retold is a nostalgic jaunt for seasoned veterans and an excellent jumping-on point for interested newcomers.
Baldur's Gate 3 (PS5)
$52.49/£43.49 (-25%)
Baldur's Gate 3 is a role-playing masterclass in almost every aspect that matters. At its best, it's one of the most deeply engaging RPGs you'll ever play, and even though its methodical pacing won't be for everyone, it sets the bar so high in terms of player freedom. Forging your own path to the infamous city of Baldur's Gate makes for a truly memorable journey, stacked with fantastic characters and superb storytelling. A defining example of its genre.
Battlefield 6 (PS5)
$45.49/£45.49 (-35%)
Battlefield 6 is a phenomenal multiplayer experience that immerses and impresses with its chaotic mix of tight gunplay, best-in-class audio design, and the cinematic flair that made us love the series in the first place. The campaign isn’t anything to write home about, and Portal has yet to fully prove its worth, but they act as additions to what is easily the best Battlefield in over a decade.
Black Myth: Wukong (PS5)
$44.99/£41.24 (-25%)
Black Myth: Wukong looked almost impossibly impressive in the lead-up to its launch, and in some ways it definitely delivers. Rewarding progression, nimble combat, and dozens of larger-than-life boss fights makes this an entertaining action game that rivals the genre's best. While some aspects of its design hold it back from being truly great, it's a staggeringly good effort from developer Game Science that has us very excited for the follow-up.
Borderlands 3 (PS5)
$5.99/£5.99 (-90%)
Gearbox's popular looter shooter is back in typical style with Borderlands 3, and it looks and plays better than ever on PS5. While it doesn't innovate on older entries all that much, the third game in the franchise is probably the best. Improved gameplay makes the act of firing weapons a joy, there's a tonne of variety in quests and guns, and that signature love-or-hate humour is very much in place. It shines brightest on Sony's current-gen machine, too, thanks to boosted visuals and up to 120 frames-per-second on the right display. There are few better co-op shooters out there — this is an absolute blast with friends, whether playing locally or online.
Borderlands 4 (PS5)
$48.99/£48.99 (-30%)
The fourth main instalment in the Borderlands series tries something a little different, introducing a fully open world to explore as you hunt down bigger and better loot. While the formula is otherwise familiar, some of the rougher edges have been refined, making for a smoother experience overall. If you're a fan of the series' particular flavour, Borderlands 4 will serve you well, even if it doesn't totally reinvent the wheel.
Castlevania Dominus Collection (PS5)
$17.49/£13.99 (-30%)
Anyone who had a Nintendo DS back in the day knows that it boasts a little selection of Castlevania games that are some of the very best in the series — and Castlevania Dominus Collection gives PlayStation loyalists a chance to sample their delights. Featuring Dawn of Sorrow, Portrait of Ruin, Order of Ecclesia, and Haunted Castle, it's a generous package offering hours of fun exploration, secrets, and boss fights to uncover. With gorgeous pixel graphics, weapon builds to learn, and enemy designs that continually delight, plus some excellent maps to explore and uncover, this is a fantastic little collection that should please any Metroidvania fan.
Catherine: Full Body (PS4)
$7.99/£6.99 (-80%)
Half interactive story, half cube-based puzzler, Catherine: Full Body is the expanded remaster of Atlus' brilliantly weird take on love. You play as Vincent, a 32-year-old bachelor who can't quite decide if he wants to commit to his long-term girlfriend. His potential infidelity gives way to suspiciously vivid nightmares where he's forced to scramble up towers made of blocks, lest he wake up dead. It's as mental as it sounds, but the tactile puzzles are addictive, and the storytelling is gripping at its best.
Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector (PS5)
$14.99/£11.99 (-40%)
Building on the original in some smart ways, Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector is a bigger, better RPG. Telling a truly compelling, character-led tale in a sombre sci-fi universe, the game's unique dice system forces you to take considered risks with every action. You'll explore various locations, all with many characters to meet and choices to make, and tough side missions flesh out an otherwise linear story. If you don't mind a text-heavy game, this delivers an engrossing adventure.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 (PS5)
$39.99/£35.99 (-20%)
Inspired by RPGs new and old, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is a turn-based RPG with the whole package. Set against the backdrop of a bleak mystery, the game sees a group travelling across a magical landscape to finally put a stop to the enigmatic Paintress and her deadly countdown. While the characters, story, and music all shine, it's the combat that stands out most, with each party member having totally unique mechanics that can complement the others. On top of that, quick-time events and the ability to dodge or parry incoming attacks keeps it feeling active and engaging. There are some rough edges here and there, but by and large, this is an RPG any fan of the genre shouldn't miss.
Cocoon (PS5)
$12.49/£9.99 (-50%)
Cocoon is a brilliant puzzle game with effortlessly elegant design. Playing as some sort of space bug, you can pick up special orbs you discover, but put them on special plinths and you can enter those orbs to discover completely new worlds. Each sphere holds its own environment with its own puzzles to solve, and you'll need to swap between them, take some worlds inside others, and more to conquer this mind-bending experience. All done with extremely simple controls and not a single line of dialogue, Cocoon is an incredible, intuitive, and memorable game.
Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled (PS4)
$13.99/£12.24 (-65%)
A wonderful recreation of the PS1 original, Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled is a real blast from the past. Drift boosting through beautifully rebuilt tracks in the generous Adventure mode or taking the racing online is a lot of fun. Much like the PS1 title it's based on, this is an arcade racing game with tight controls, surprising difficulty, and lots to see and do. Despite some areas that could've done with modernising, this is probably just about the best kart racer on PS4.
Date Everything (PS5)
$19.49/£19.49 (-35%)
This unusual spin on the dating sim lives up to its name. Date Everything is a game with hundreds of inanimate objects turned into humanoid beings you can form relationships with, be they platonic or romantic. With great art and voice acting from lots of well-known performers, this is a silly visual novel that's sure to have something for everyone.

I have been a PS+ user for over 8 years here in Bulgaria, and the current situation is wild. Since Sony began transitioning payments to the Euro, Bulgarian users have been completely cut off from promotions.
This issue started on December 16th and is still ongoing. For an entire month, we couldn't even make purchases using credit or debit cards. While card payments are working again and are now properly handled in Euro, we still don't have access to promotional pricing. To make matters worse, prices for many games have actually increased since the change - without any clear justification. This is particularly frustrating as these price hikes may conflict with local laws regarding currency transitions.
I hope a Sony official member sees this, because there has been absolutely no official information or communication regarding this situation from the local PlayStation social media accounts.
Finally pulled the trigger on Cocoon after it being on my wishlist for years
Some stuff I would definitely be spending on in this sale but I recently upgraded to PS+ premium so have plenty to play right now.
Was browsing the PSN Store earlier & saw TMNT Shredders Revenge has the PS4 version discounted in the sale,(roughly $18 my region), but oddly the PS5 version is still full price seemingly being tied in PS Plus Extra & instead encourages you to subscribe instead!🙄
Not that Dotemu is alone in skipping crossbuy or limiting upgrades,(eg: GTA Trilogy remastered "definitive edition" only crossbuy on the pricier digital version, or Until Dawn PS5 had no upgrade path from ps4), but still annoying!😕
Might have to get Pirate Yakuza at that price, I'm in the mood for some stupid action game.
Also, I'm pretty sure you can get the PS5 upgrade for Divinity: Original Sin 2 for free, so that's a plus.
