Great little twist using She-Hulk, keeps the Hulk family representation without going with the more obvious choice and keeps the roster feeling interesting. Very glad they made her huge, an absolute unit, she's filling in the Hulk slot nicely.
Hope they keep the vibe going and reveal a lesser known X-Men character next.
I’d love it if they finally fix the body perception breaking apart when showing skin, mods fixed it years ago on PC. Stuff like skirts, dresses or open shirts/jackets, or when you wake up naked after sleeping in during a date your body becomes a bunch of floating half formed limbs.
Pretty great results so far for a cheaper side project. Hopefully they'll use what they learn from the rough edges and the feedback to make sure Duskbloods is in much stronger shape from the outset.
It's lots of fun, but surely this would have benefited more from releasing as a Backyard Sports collection with multiple titles, maybe including the 1st from each sport. At least Baseball and Soccer together since they don't feature real players from the major leagues, which I'm guessing is the reason on the delay for the ports of the other games.
I'm surprised more prepers don't use a Vtuber-like avatar and just show their face. The pizza guy could have been fun if he used a Vtuber sometimes, rather than always saying "sorry I wasn't there to greet you" as if he wasn't asking for pipping hot pizza to eat on the spot.
The only answer he should have had for anyone asking about price is "That's not in my hands to decide and Take-2 hasn't made a decision yet". That's it, you don't need media training or anything like that (which he's undoubtedly gotten) to know that's all you should and need to say.
I hope they eventually add bosses from Demon's Soul, King's Field (necessarily just in name & look only) & Bloodborne, eventually making it a proper FromSoft celebration.
Gimmick bosses like Storm King could be used as a night hazard were it does random flyby's to further screw your team. lol
I really hope they go remake the 1st 3 games after this one comes out. I'd love to play a version of P1 that doesn't force me into a fight every 3 steps in a dungeon.
@Veritas7Ax P4 is amazing, but remember the whole series has a silent protagonist. You won't be hearing much of JYB's voice outside the screaming of "Persona" and their names, just like with the P5 protag.
Tekken 8 has a very robust 32 char base roster, bigger than most other fighting games of its class & with T7's huge final roster too it makes sense that a lot of DLC would end up being repeats. But you got to throw in an lapsed fighter in there every once in a while to balance it out, like SF6 with Elena.
It really sucks when other greats like Street Fighter, Tekken and Guilty Gear are supported for much longer periods of time. This is the type of support I would expect for smaller scale titles like a new Darkstalkers, Rival Schools or Soulcalibur (SC6 got about 17 months of support!), not for one of the big 3 fighting games in the world (in sales at least).
I've had my fun and fill with the game since release, the story was meh, but the gameplay is very good and the kameo's can be fun to play with. It's not even been 20 months of full support, the seasons started looping after the 8th one ended back in November! They have been happy to nickle and dime us for klassic & new skins (outside the 3 themed ones most everyone got), giving Scorpion, Sub-Zero and Mileena a 100 of them while other characters starved. Most returning 3D era characters didn't even get a shot at a klassic skin, like Havik and Ashrah.
Since P4G's epilogue flows into it from the main game to the point you don't even get the standard or true ending, the story just keeps going into the dungeon and new endings, I would expect removing it wholesale and selling it as DLC would be more work than it's worth. Marie is deeply involved (with your character, not the broader story) from the beginning and you got to work for the for the epilogue. I still wouldn't put it past them to do it.
I love Origins and Legends, some of the most fun platforming had on Vita, and I'm down for a new take on 3D Rayman. Hopefully Ubisoft is reasonable about their budget & expectations for it.
guessing a ton of those are people on PC Game Pass paying the $10 monthly fee to try the game. Not that it's bad! That's what Microsoft wants, people paying for the subscription service.
Wish they'd remove Hanzo's sleeve tattoo for the outfit, it throws it off and it wouldn't be the first time they remove or change tattoos for different skins. Also, couldn't they make Guile's flat top higher or angle the arm so it actually looks like he's combing the hair and not air? The rest look pretty good and it's def a better result overall than previous cross-over cosplay skins.
The family gave permission for the model, but I'm more surprised Disney let them use it. It's just so easy for a dedicated player to get Vader to start saying bad things (cursing, slurs, promoting heinious ideas), as that's just an issue with any chatbot, that Disney lawyers would faint at if they saw any of it.
I think he confused the SE or Ubi leadership with Bungie's. lol It's a half-priced, niche extraction shooter releasing in the last quarter of the year. It just needs to be a decent hit and build from there.
I really think the show, for the sake of not making Abby too hated (it's different being forced to control the character vs watching a tv show), should have ran Ellie and Abby's stories parallel through S02 before more or less ending on Joel's death scene. That way it creates viewers conflict into which side is right and wrong, or if Abby is even justified (given her dad was going to murder a kid after less than a day studying the immunity) by letting you sit with her and seeing her journey. I'd actually love an option to play the game that way, like how Beyond: 2 Souls eventually did.
@WhyUSoObessedWithMe while I agree Bella isn't outstanding in the role, I'd argue your grievances are more with the writers and directors than with her. It's not her fault that's the material she's been given to portray.
I'd be surprised if OD makes it out this gen as well. I think it will be DS2 on PS5, OD a cross-gen release on neXbox launch on '27, then Physint as a early-mid PS6 title on '30.
Do we know what engine they're using for OD? It would be interesting to see Kojima "port" Decima to Xbox or if Sony would even let him.
@PlatinumMikey I actually did, it's tedious and I got it inside the True Ending dungeon (by that point I felt certain I'd missed it), you just have to be compulsive about scanning enemies almost every fight. I'm very bad at remembering type weaknesses so I was naturally constantly scanning the same enemies as I went from fight to fight. The only time to stop scanning enemies is when you stop to grind as you'll be focused on killing the same mobs, then scan them 1 more time after you've finished leveling up to get the "weak enemy" lines.
@PlatinumMikey No online trophies, everything you need can be done offline for both games. GR Platinum is fairly straightforward, the biggest challenge is getting Gold on the races, but it's not very hard once you get used to the awkward sliding controls (hold a finger on both bottom corners of the screen and lightly tilt the Vita to control direction). The only race I failed was for 1 of the DLC which don't count towards the Platinum. For P4G I recommend having a couple of extra save files so you can get multiple endings in 1 run. Only the true ending gets a trophy (tied to the boss), so it's more for enjoyment.
@PlatinumMikey I do adore P4G, GR just hit better for my tastes. That said P4G being the best Vita exclusive is the objective correct answer, unless we only count Vita originals, even though it's not my personal favorite.
The idea of using brand-new Rockstar Australia for the job seems reasonable, they joined very recently seems unlikely they got put on GTA6 duty. Having them work on making GTA4 and RDR2 playable & at their best on current gen seems ideal use of their expertise, plus you get an internal team to work on testing their engine on the NS2 waters without distracting the main dev group.
@PuppetMaster Gravity Rush also didn't do big numbers on the Vita, yet Sony saw the potential for a remaster, which led to a sequel & a movie. While I'm not sure either of them has the same broad appeal GR had (IMO GR was the best Vita exclusive), SS in particular could hit a sweet spot between the Soulsborne and MonHun communities specially with a sequel.
I adore Soul Sacrifice! The grimdark fairy tale aesthetic really popped and that the stories (main & side) were really engaging. Its biggest issue was that the lore was at odds with the gameplay, as each monster was given a very unique "this 1 specific person became this creature" backstory that seemed at odds with the concept of repeat hunts, in a variety of different missions and settings, for parts.
The hard part about preparing and accounting for USA tariffs is that the percentage, import targets and affected countries change month to month. How do you account from China going up to 150% then back down to 30% in a month, with the possibility of it going back up in a 3 months? It's a constantly moving target
It's an Early Access game, the time when the player base is more likely to give & change reviews as feedback on the current state of the game. This is not the time to be focusing on sales & the drop-off of them, those are 1.0 goals. @heavyartillery56 that's just what GTA is, it's in the name. You might enjoy Sleeping Dogs if you haven't played it yet, you play as an undercover cop in that one.
the Adam Hughes cover is fantastic!
If they want to really sell a metric ton of these, they would include a code to redeem 1 of the costumes revealed in the issue, like the Hawaiian shirt Jeff skin.
No Ratchet & Clank, the one franchise aside from GoW that has stayed around consistently from PS2-PS5 (FFA even got a Vita version!), is criminal. Anyways, it sounds like they should have picked pieces that fit better with the limited orchestra on hand rather than backing up with recordings, there's certainly options for that through PS history.
Feels like it's going the Breath of the Wild route where you get pointers to where to start the story for the targets, but otherwise it just drops you in a central map area and lets you run free. The format isn't conductive to telling a good story, so as long as Atsu's personality is understanding of taking her time to kill them it will be fine, but if her character arc is about her wanting to rush through her list it might to fall apart.
It completes the trifecta well enough to get its share of the pie, Tarkov- gritty/modern, Hunt- magic/past, Marathon- sci-fi/future, with smaller titles like Dark & Darker doing the sword and sorcery angle. Unless this is "baby's first Tarkov" I don't see it really blowing up to the type of success Sony is looking for in the live service market. It's a niche genre and for good reasons.
this doesn't mean much about actual sales, double that number could have bought it and sent it straight to the backlog pile. The better comparison is to Part 1 numbers that show it's fairly close so it's done well to maintain engagement, unlike GoW and to a lesser extent Horizon.
@ChrisDeku there's also the EA Motive Iron Man game announced in 2022, that went dark afterwards.
All this debacle for the only big 1st party studio to release a PS5 exclusive, & they've managed 2. They made a mistake announcing it so early 100%, but as said before me it seems like a Disney-Marvel contract thing to announce games as soon as possible.
On the last point, Sony for at least some of the classics has honored your previous purchase from back in the PS3/PSP/Vita era & made the new PS4|5 version free, I got Killzone Liberation, Tekken 5 and Wild Arms for free, but not Medievil 1 or Twisted Metal 1. It would be nice to know what they're criteria is sure, but I'm not complaining as a bunch of those I had gotten free through PS+ or as Big Hack compensation in the first place.
It's too expensive, so I'll probably wait till you can get the console when there's a bundle at around base price, and hopefully in an alternate color. The greyish black looks so dull, here's hoping for a quick release of a red console Mario bundle. If they make another OLED model it will be firmly at $500 or more, at that point it's genuinely too expensive to even consider.
Mario Kart 9 ain't worth $80, unless this is Nintendo's way to create price drops over time so it's eventually $65 and we all feel grateful about their benevolence. MK8 is 11 years old and still retails for full price, heck it's even more expensive than it was before if you count the Expansion Pack they still sell you separately. IMO this is just going to encourage 2K to actually price GTA6 at like $100.
if this is real then an announcement must happen in one of the Switch 2 videos, we got the Direct tomorrow and a couple of Treehouses the following 2 days.
They could have used make-up to make them look older, that's like stage make-up 101, so I don't really agree. But Bella is a strong enough actor that I doubt it will matter much when we're actually watching the show.
