Here are our recommendations for PS Store's Dealmania sale.
Absolum (PS5)
$19.99/£15.99 (-20%)
Absolum is both a brilliantly crafted beat-'em-up and a devilishly addictive roguelike. Although the overall experience does feel slightly short-lived, you'll seriously struggle to tear yourself away from the game's striking fantasy world — especially when all of its systems start to click.
AI: The Somnium Files (PS4)
$3.99/£3.19 (-80%)
AI: The Somnium Files tells an often engrossing tale. It takes a couple of hours to really get going, but when it does, it blossoms into one of the most impressively executed visual novels on PS4. A range of characters, both surprisingly deep and brilliantly stupid, elevate an already intriguing and smartly paced story.
Axiom Verge (PS4)
$4.99/£3.74 (-75%)
Axiom Verge is PlayStation's very own Metroid. That may sound a teensy bit degrading, but there's no denying that this and Nintendo's own space-faring adventure have more than a few things in common. Still, if being compared to one of the most beloved game series of all time isn't a compliment, then we don't know what is. If you've never seen the appeal of these types of games, then chances are this won't change your mind. Devoted fans of the genre, however, will no doubt adore Tom Happ's opus.
Baby Steps (PS5)
$12.99/£10.39 (-35%)
Baby Steps is more than it first appears, offering up a heartfelt story about a man grappling with his insecurities as he's forced to keep going. The intentionally tricky walking and climbing is a lot of fun to grapple with, and there's plenty of silly stuff to discover in the open world setting. Your mileage may vary due to various factors, not least the amount of punishment you'll take as you scramble up the mountain, but it's a journey worth taking for those willing to persist.
Blasphemous II (PS5)
$9.89/£8.24 (-67%)
Blasphemous 2 takes the foundations of its well-received predecessor and builds upon it in all the right ways. Tweaking combat to make it faster, smoother, and more accurate, removing insta-death scenarios to make platforming more manageable, and packing the game full to the brim with secrets and collectibles. The great attention to detail in the presentation and high level of polish make Blasphemous 2 a delightfully memorable experience that players will look back on fondly for years to come.

Bloodborne (PS4)
$9.99/£7.99 (-50%)
The spiritual successor to FromSoftware's supremely popular Dark Souls property, Bloodborne fuses the lip-smackingly satisfying combat of its predecessors with a frighteningly fast pace, resulting in the most intense action on the PS4. Harrowing Lovecraftian-like fiends and larger-than-life bosses vie for the attention of your Saw Blade, as the dingy districts of Yharnam intertwine. A steep difficulty curve can make this occasionally putrid escapade appear off-putting, but soldier through the skin and sinew and you'll find a bloodbath worth submerging in.
Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons Remake (PS5)
$7.99/£6.39 (-60%)
Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons Remake is overall a solid retread. The graphical and musical overhauls are spectacular, and the emotional heft of the story is intact, but the industry has left the title behind in a lot of ways. The control scheme is still pretty unique, and a rousing success in single-player, but the co-op mode comes with an asterisk. While it's a welcome accessibility inclusion, it fundamentally alters the experience, and not really for the better. Throw in some technical woes and you’re left with a remake that doesn't quite feel up to snuff in a modern setting. However, the core game was incredible for its time, and ultimately remains a moving tale in this refreshed version.
Cat Quest 3 (PS5)
$9.99/£7.99 (-50%)
Cat Quest 3 builds upon the first two entries in this cult favourite series, offering up maybe the best one yet. With a pirate theme introducing nautical traversal and combat, this is a more expansive action RPG that keeps things simple, with that signature illustrated art style and cheeky humour. Those after a lighthearted adventure need look no further.
Crypt Custodian (PS5)
$13.99/£11.19 (-30%)
Some say there are too many Metroidvania games for this world, yet when one as good as Crypt Custodian comes along, it serves as a reminder of exactly why so many developers chase that addictive fusion of explorative action. With shades of Death's Door and Tunic, brotherly duo Kyle and Eric Thompson have made an approachable yet exceedingly enjoyable adventure full of combat, platforming, puzzles, and charm.
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided (PS4)
$4.49/£3.74 (-85%)
Deus Ex: Mankind Divided had a lot to live up to following up the hit series revival, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, and it almost managed it. While it doesn't quite measure up in terms of its narrative, the immersive sim is still a strong sci-fi adventure with fantastic environments to explore and flexible gameplay the series is known for. While stealth is largely the way to go, you're given ample opportunities to go about objectives your own way.
DmC: Devil May Cry - Definitive Edition (PS4)
$9.99/£8.74 (-75%)
DmC: Devil May Cry - Definitive Edition is one of the more thoughtful remasters on the PS4, and its emphasis on modifiers means that you can more or less tailor the experience to your tastes. We're still not sure whether old-school Devil May Cry fans will allow themselves to enjoy Ninja Theory's take on the series, but many of the tweaks have been designed with those outspoken individuals in mind. For everyone else, the Cambridge-based company's confident take on Capcom's character action classic is well worth playing – and even if its previous generation hallmarks are still present, its upscaled visuals and boosted framerate make this particular edition heaven sent.

Really like the fact that when you guys at PushSquare write up these sale related articles, you take the time to list the physical releases too (when applicable). That’s going above and beyond 👍
@Balaam_ they are affiliate links, PushSquare has a financial incentive to place those banners. It's not because they're trying to champion physical media.
