@rjejr I'm making the same point as Godot, just worded differently, not that the multi-plat release is implied. I'm saying is the simultaneous nature of the release is implied.
@Yozora146_ It's implied at the end of the twit, though not outright stated. The context for that implication is that they mostly haven't been able to talk about releasing on other platforms outside the PS4|5, aside from vague allusions to future PC versions, during the lead up and release period of the games. SE never talked about a future Xbox or Switch versions for Remake or Rebirth, not even when promoting CC Reunion for those consoles. If they're doing it now for Part 3 then it's implied that it's a multi-platform release.
This should be a good move overall for SE, but I expect them to place even hire sales expectations that the games can't possibly achieve as SE loves to do.
It looks like a fun arena brawler and the camera angle makes for an interesting twist on the deluge of anime arena brawlers Bandai puts out every year. If there's good content this could be a nice fun time between bigger releases.
It's a bit impressive that the 3 separate publishers got in line and picked release dates that made the most sense to maximize sales for all 3 games. I'm glad for it
I expect it to be around $600 or so. I hope they don't abandon the unique aesthetics in the name of price reduction. I'm a big fan of the PS5 look and I'm not saying it should be a continuation of that , but I like the current commitment to distinct looks for each generation.
@Anti-Matter 2 different PS6 models: The model with the Dock is a handheld like the PSVita (I would expect a different name to PS6 for that one, like PSP3) and the one with the detachable disc drive is a proper PS5 replacement.
I have to assume they're going to use the book adaptation as the source to anchor this. The GoW books do a solid job of focusing the story, hitting the major events and such without having a fight every 20 steps.
I'm not a fan of the changes made to End of the F*** World in terms of characters, the switching around of events was fine, but I can't deny it still made for good tv. Hopefully this stays true to the game character wise, should be easier since it doesn't go down as dark a path as EotFW did.
Framerate wasn't solid, but everything else looked pretty great. There's certainly time for them to make the technical side rock solid before launch. I like the exaggerated physics in places, making it look more like an action movie, and the character designs are all solid (at least the main cast). Only thing is the aesthetics look a bit too clean, it could certainly use some more grime.
I think this is the first season with a hero vs hero plot. Daredevil vs Angela would be a hilariously lopsided fight, not sure he can even punch hard enough for her to notice. It's a necessary part of the gameplay, but it's just funny doing a whole season around it.
Hopefully this means a Switch 2 version isn't far off.
It seems right up my alley, I'll forgive gameplay issues for some unique aesthetics. At $30 it's a bit expensive for what's on offer though, I'll likely grab it when it hits about $20.
Funny that they all got buffs while fixing the issue and none got a nerf. I like Asuka's broad shoulders, it makes her stand out, hopefully the adjustments don't lean her down to looking the same as the other women. While in the topic of changing character models, can we get some more diversity of muscle mass and body builds? Ciri and Asuka deserve rockhard 6-packs!
I expect this just an announcement for new NUSA merch and maybe a Myers statue to go with the Songbird and Reed statues they already sell (sold?) in their store. (screw Myers and the FIA)
If it's a patch then PLEASE be an upscalling update to FSR3.1 for consoles. Enough with FSR2 & the godawful ghosting with motion-blur off.
Maybe it's time to cancel this game and let them try again with another project. Something the team that's still there can get behind rather than being forced to keep reworking this thing now that the minds behind it all left with their golden parachute.
looks like a "so bad it's good" dub, like some of the old kung fu movies have. If you're not bothered by ruining what's meant to be a serious experience, this could be a nice way to play through the game and laugh a little.
Viewfinder! I've been meaning to get that. Really solid month between that and Psychonauts, I'd guess everyone that wanted to has already bought Stardew Valley at this point.
Cross-media potencial? Make a Puppeteer stop-motion film & hire Laika to do it! Then in the meantime remaster the game for ps5. I think building more all-ages ip is the route forward if they want that explosive perpetual money maker like a Mario, Fortnite or Minecraft. Last of Us, Horizon, Ghost of, God of War, & Uncharted can’t fill that space, they’re too teen & up oriented. That means finding a way to make Astrobot and Ratchet & Clank sell big numbers, put MediaMolecule back on Tearaway & LBP.
I wish the review covered how the game plays on base PS5, at least a bit at the end. Going by the comments it seems it's not great, maybe some patches down the line will fix it.
I'd like a mix of gameplay styles. Like a Legacy+ where you keep the old camera angles, but gain the new movement options. Like the 3D Snake Eater did back in the day with adding the crouch walk.
Seems to me that Sony Pictures just has 0 faith in their animation department, they don't believe in their ability to succeed with original properties. The live action people are putting dogshit like "Kraven" & "Harold and the Purple Crayon" in theaters to lose tons of cash, but great movies like "Mitchell's vs the Machines" and "K-Pop Demon Hunters" get offloaded to Netflix for a quick buck, those are clear cut examples of how messed up their priorities are.
$30?! For 6 chars, 1 of them is a repeat just with a different powered-up state & a white suit instead of black, on a 5yo game… crazy stuff. Sad part is I’m sure it will sell a bunch to the base that still plays it.
Been thinking, is this the longest supported base Musuo game? Not counting enhanced editions, probably.
I think the weight of franchise expectations is just too big and Take-Two might be better off dropping the "Bio" from the name, like Bioshock did to Systemshock and trying for more of a thematic sequel type thing, call it Psychshock or something.
Just do some Persona 1, 2 and 2-2 remasters, please. No need to remake them fit into the P3 mold, just a simple graphical clean up with much needed QoL features would be fine. Can even sell them as a "Persona Origins Collection" for $60 and make plenty of money.
All the reports have made clear that EA just doesn't like Dragon Age, at best they're indifferent to it. They kinda let it keep going at because a part of BioWare does like working on it and it means there's usually something cooking when droughts seem incoming, but they'd rather just bury it if it were up to EA leadership.
@JuiceboxMeister yes, forcing an EA account have been standard practice for a while. I have a similar issue in that I linked PSN to a EA back in the late PS3 or early PS4 days and I no longer have access to it, though luckily EA hasn't forced me to try and reconnect, it's just kept trucking along all these years.
EA is basically the only service I know where you can't re-link an account. Even Blizzard just forces a 6 month hiatus before you can re-link accounts, learned the hard way when Overwatch finally got cross-saves.
I get they mean that it's reaching a massive zeitgeist worldwide, but it's weird to see it talked like that when they've owned Aniplex for 30 years, ran Funimation for like 12 years, stand behind some of the major anime hits of the past 20 years (including FullMetal Alchemist, SAO and Demon Slayer), and helped kickstart the careers of famous VA's (ej.Troy Baker). Seeing the Aniplex & Funimation logos when starting a new show meant a quality series & Eng dub to me.
According to the source website that 36 chapters + a longer annual. Solid value! Injustice can feed this line for a while if they stick to Year X editions.
David is showing boobs, but Lucy is fully covered. Who picked the art for this? Gotta aim for horny on both sides to maximize interest.
the lack of a V body pillow is disappointing. FemV on one side MaleV on the other, wearing only the Samurai jacket on top. That's easy money right there.
They really gave up halfway through designing V, the hair and eyes look wrong, at least the others look better. Just a real shame about the background on all of them.
Capcom has to either create a proper open-world tuned fork of REngine (ideally with engine updates for both MHWi & DD2) or drop it altogether for another solution. It's just not working & they're starting to pay the price for it with long-term sales floundering after a strong start.
Guessing the CP77 ones are going to be the PC avatars since I think those never released on consoles, same for Diablo 4. GoW and Hogwarts already released a ton of free avatars so I wonder if these will be new or a rereleases for the bundle? I don't think Twisted Metal has added avatars since PS3 era so those could be exciting!
Game looks fun-ish, in a janky AA sense. The story seems intriguing, with lots of potential if the writers really want to dive deep, and dinosaurs are always a plus. It just needs to be fun to play.
2 thoughts: 1) I hope you can change the camera angle, I get they want to sit it just bellow where the butt ends, but it looks too low in certain scenes there. 2) Really hope the main game outfits feature color options, as I'm not fond of the "all black from hair to toe" look on the main catsuit. Given how dark the game looks, it even detracts from their goal of showing off the meticulously sculpted butt.
Nice Alien reference with that "white tanktop + white panties" look.
On a serious note, while expensive this could be a really nice to have for writers, script enjoyers & people that just enjoy the BTS stuff. The 3 game scripts could provide insight into writing process, page to screen translation, how Druckman's style evolved over the course of a decade, and how Gross' input changed Part 2 (as Druckman wrote the first 2 scripts alone). Depending on how they write you could get og intent on certain characters, scenes and interactions before the rest of the creative process switched things around.
EDIT: can't tell if the comments are taking the piss (as the title is doing) or genuinely complaining about a nice little merch book that amounts to ND sending the scripts to Dark Horse and them handling the rest.
Big news confirming that they’re keeping CoD at $70 this year too. Was feeling confident that would def get the bump too.
After Avowed coming & going, trying to sell this at $80 seemed crazy. Could have tried to get an E33 reaction by going $50, maybe $60, hoping that helps it sell better.
That looks sick! Blood, gore, nudity and BDSM motifs are a big part of the franchise, so hope they don't compromise to make it more marketable. Getting Bradley back already makes it special!

It's weird getting a "fish out of water guy without powers" movie as a sequel to the "fish out of water guy without powers" movie from last time. It's part 2, we should hit the ground running not redoing the last flick!
