Update []:
Online Souls spin-off Elden Ring Nightreign has now sold over 3.5 million copies. That’s almost double its launch day milestone of 2 million, which demonstrates just how popular this game is proving to be.
To mark the milestone, developer FromSoftware said that new DLC will launch later this year, alongside enhanced fights and two-player expeditions later this year.
Earlier this week, a patch was released to help improve the single player experience as well.

Original Story: All of FromSoftware’s Souls titles have featured online multiplayer in some form, but it’s probably fair to say they’ve never been the focus of any of the games to the same extent as Elden Ring Nightreign.
Still, developing this co-op focused spin-off has not hampered the series’ success, as the new game has sold two million units within its first day.
While we don’t have PS5 or PS4 specific sales numbers yet, we do know it’s currently the fourth best-selling game on the US PS Store.
Meanwhile, on Steam the release has peaked with an extremely impressive 301,602 concurrent players. As always, this number doesn’t reflect sales, but it does help prove that the product is resonating.
Despite the early success, Bandai Namco has confirmed that it’s plotting a patch to help improve the single player experience. Tweaks will include the addition of a single respawn while playing solo, as well as an increase to the number of runes earned.
