A wave of Summer Game Fest 2025 livestreams have taken place today, bringing so much news and fresh information it's been difficult to keep up. Two announcements that have stuck out, though, are the reveals of new horror games out of publisher Blumhouse Games.
As part of the summer gaming season, it's revealed Sleep Awake and Crisol: Theatre of Idols. Both are coming to PS5, with the former out in 2026 and the latter coming later this year. Catch both reveal trailers below.
In the last known city on Earth, people are disappearing in their sleep. Those who remain exist in a crisis of reckless experiments to keep awake. You must navigate depraved death cults, otherworldly forces, and the ever-present horror of The HUSH, to save yourself and those who rely upon you.
Crisol: Theater of Idols is a first-person horror/action game set in Hispania, a twisted version of Spain. Play as Gabriel, a soldier who uses blood as both weapon and lifeline. Explore the cursed island of Tormentosa, uncover dark secrets, and battle horrifying enemies. Will you survive? Crisol is developed by Vermila Studios and published by Blumhouse Games.
What are your first impressions of the two titles? Let us know in the comments below.

Sleep Awake looks like I will have a hard time to Stay Awake if all you are doing is walking.
Crisol looks more like my jam. Still not very impressed by it too.
I am totally the target audience for these games and they both look pretty boring.
First looks like a Dreams and Nightmares walking simulator built in Dreams. Second looks like a typical fps with blood as a power.
Blumhouse and promising is an oxymoron
Average, and also the city name in Crisol...Tormentosa, even that sounds like a 5/ 10
Blumhouse can only make lukewarm horror for tweens on dates and people that only want to dip their toes into the genre. I’m into the visuals and concepts for both, but guaranteed they’ll pull punches and underwhelm. Under a different umbrella these could be some really cool games.
Alongside ILL these 2 can't come close to the behemoth that is RE: Requiem that stole the show for me personally.
Crisol is giving Spanish Bioshock vibes, which is no bad thing. Gunplay just looks a bit too clunky to be enjoyable, but that can be fine tuned.
Blumhouse movies are mediocre at best. Can't image their games are any different
