Erin Fitzgerald, who voiced Chie in Persona 4, has now gone public alongside Yuri Lowenthal to confirm she's not reprising her role in the rumoured JRPG remake either. On Bluesky, she said: "For those asking, I have not been asked to reprise my role as Chie Satonaka in the Persona 4 remake."

Original Story: A remake of JRPG classic Persona 4 appears to be a foregone conclusion at this point, as after months of hints, a voice actor who appeared in the original game has now publicly posted about the project.

Yuri Lowenthal, who voiced Yosuke in the game as well as Peter Parker in Marvel's Spider-Man, casually discussed the rumoured remake on Bluesky. It's on a sombre note, though, as he said: "And for those who keep asking, no, I will not be returning as Yosuke for the Persona 4 remake. I asked. Maybe I even begged, but they don’t want me to come back."

The suggestion that Lowenthal isn't getting to reprise his role in the Persona 4 remake suggests that Atlus is taking the same route with the project as it did with Persona 3 Reload, where it brought in a completely new voice cast.

After the success of the third entry's remake, which very quickly became the developer's fastest-selling game, efforts to bring back the fourth game always seemed like a strong possibility. A possible domain name has already been noticed, and with the summer season of gaming announcements just a couple of weeks away, it's possible the Persona 4 remake announcement could be imminent.
