Our first glimpse of The Witcher 4 could be incoming, as CD Projekt Red has confirmed that it'll be presenting at State of Unreal on the 3rd June.
As the name suggests, State of Unreal is a tech-driven showcase for everything Unreal Engine. The Polish developer promises a look at "some of the innovative technology & features that will power The Witcher 4, and beyond".
So while we definitely wouldn't go into this expecting some kind of gameplay blowout, it does seem likely that we'll get to gawk at a tech demo or two, giving us an idea of what The Witcher 4 is actually going to look like.

Again, CD Projekt Red's own marketing for the event specifically mentions the in-development RPG. The presentation will be streamed on both YouTube and Twitch, at 6:30am PT / 9:30am ET / 2:30pm BST / 3:30pm CEST.
What are you hoping to see? What do you want from The Witcher 4 in terms of tech? Imagine Skellige rendered in Unreal Engine 5 in the comments section below.

I hope to see true next-gen wind howling tech.
Still waiting for a game to live up to that Matrix awakens UE5 demo from several years ago. I am tired.
More bullshots perhaps? Witcher 3 was a fine looking game but its didn’t look as good as the original trailers. Hopefully they’ve learned their lesson .
Can't wait for more unoptimized mess that upscaled from 480p/720p. I would expect this game to come out much later but I guess sometime in 2027 is not far off.
I just want the tech demo to have Ciri saying "wind's howling".
Eh, they don't have the best track record with bullshot trailers so I'm good.
I have a suspicion this will be more "look at our trees and foliage" and less actual trailer.

Man, what nice memories this single line brings back. No game come close to the immersion i had while playing this game in 2016.
Worst scenario: interviews with employees (taken from diffrent camera angles, in some takes not looking directly at camera) where they say how excited they are about the game, how they've been overcoming challenges to give us most immersive experience, how each and every employee poured their heart in it and gave their blood, sweat and tears. The interviews will be intertwined with footage of graphic designers working on models of characters, locations, objects in their 3D object desing software.
Best scenario: previews of some actual gameplay, maybe a short side quest, character stats sheet, inventory etc.
