It's been a long time coming, but Arctic Awakening has a release date at long last, and it's not far away.

Originally announced back in 2021, the first-person narrative adventure comes to PS5 on 18th September 2025, as revealed in this new trailer:

Arctic Awakening has been in development at GoldFire Studios for five years, and was originally planned to release in 2022 with an episodic format.

However, the team shifted to a single release instead, and is finally on the verge of release.

In the game, you play as a pilot named Kai who, in a routine flight over Alaska, finds himself lost in the frozen wilderness after the plane goes down.

His co-pilot Donovan is missing, and all he has for company in the cold is a therapy robot.

Of course, things aren't quite as simple as surviving the weather and tracking down Donovan; a mystery is waiting to be uncovered, and your conversation options and choices in the story affect relationships between characters.

It looks kinda like a frosty Firewatch, and we're certainly down for a game like that.
