Re: All PS Plus Collection Games on PS5

This is an amazing offer for new PS5 owners...

But I already have a PS4 and many of those games on disc. But for someone with a Switch, this is an amazing deal for buying into the Sony ecosystem.

I gave up on BC and bought a mid-spec PC for $400.

i5 3.6Ghz 16GB ram, Geforce 1030, SSD drive w/Win10.

Works like a charm for PS1, PS2, DC, PSP, and all things Nintendo...

I have all the original hardware & large software collection, but this is nice.

PS1 and PS2 can be played off the disc at HD or better.

Re: Guide: PS5 Backwards Compatibility - Can You Play PS4 Games on PlayStation 5, Which PlayStation 4 Games Work on PS5, and Does PS5 Play PS1, PS2, or PS3 Games?

Sony seems to be going backwards on BC...

PS3 supported virtually all PS1 games though emulation.

Then they stopped that support inexplicably on PS4 (due to greed?).

PS5 could easily emulate PS1 & PS2, which would be amazing.

If Sony won't do that, I'd rather spend the $500 on a Home Theater PC.

That way I can emulate my retro game collection and play off discs.

Given what's been announced, all I really care about is BC...

Both systems will be crazy advanced, but what about my games?

I have a huge PS game collection and many of the MS exclusives too.

BC is the thing I'm watching now, otherwise I'll stick with my Pro and Xbox S.

$500 just to play a handful of pricey new games isn't what really moves me.

Also have large movie collection (DVD, BD, 3D, 4K), waiting for more media details...
