Too bad they can't finish Rise of the Tomb Raider first and get that PS4 HDR update out. Until then, I'm not buying anything else from them. They should finish what they start first.
Sounds like MS is always looking to buyout developers who are teetering on bankruptcy. Maybe we should thank MS for keeping these studios open for now. But I'm not convinced yet that any of this will help MS restore itself in the gaming biz. At this point, I don't think they know how to win anymore.
I almost feel sorry for people who spent $500 on the Xbox X. No sooner than it came out, MS said they were working on yet another system. Why did they even bother with the X? MS just seems to be flailing around: loose hardware talk and buying up random studios. I just don't see the coherent focus needed to build something that's going to last.
When this game ships, it's going to be hilarious if someone checks the disc on a PC and it's half-empty...
Seriously, my main issue with this whole thing is how unreliable the entire PSN store is.
Downloading anything is a tricky proposition and can be pitifully slow.
Many times it doesn't work at all or even load game icons so you can see what's there.
I went in this morning looking for the Tetris VR demo and as usual the whole store was barely working, then it quit altogether and wouldn't show anything.
I bought a small game (400MB) a few weeks ago and it took an hour to download, which drove my son crazy.
Maybe that was during Red Dead pre-loading (?), but Sony network infrastructure/capacity is highly suspect in my experience.

Re: Poll: Is E3 Still Relevant, Especially Now that Sony Has Abandoned It?
Wow...I thought that was just a rumour about Sony.
Re: Sony Reveals PS Plus' Most Downloaded Games on PS4
How cool would it have been to have a list of all future Plus games ahead of time?
Sadly, most of them I had already bought before they got added...
I still add them to my library, mostly just in case my disc copy fails.
When reinstalling, I still use discs because I hate long downloads.
Re: PS4 Celebrates Its Fifth Anniversary Today
My first unit was pretty glitchy and it drove me crazy for a time.
It was affected with auto-eject bug and would eject during play.
As I recall, the games wouldn't suspend, they just closed with no save.
Had to open the unit and put electrical tape over the metal touch button sensor pad.
After that it was fine, and then Sony redesigned the whole thing...
Re: Spyro: Reignited Trilogy - A Platforming Treasure Wonderfully Restored
Everyone has gone silent about Pro and HDR support.
Re: Round Up: Spyro: Reignited Trilogy Reviews Are Hot, Hot, Hot
Forgive me for being a skeptic, but have Pro support and HDR support been confirmed?
My faith in Activision is at an all-time low recently.
Re: Guide: Spyro: Reignited Trilogy FAQ - Everything You Need to Know
Wait, this article initially stated that the game had Pro support and HDR support...
What's going on now? More Activision laziness?
Re: Round Up: Spyro: Reignited Trilogy Reviews Are Hot, Hot, Hot
If it turns out the disc only has 31GB of data, then this looks really sloppy for Activision.
The 19GB update (rest of the release) could have been on the disc, if they had waited long enough to manufacture this properly.
This whole thing just smells funny.
But ATM, I'm also annoyed with Activision for making the next Diablo game an MMO phone game...
Re: Spyro Reignited Trilogy Will Eat Up 67.5GB of PS4 Hard Drive Space
So the disc only has 31GB on it?
Then they should have waited till the game was finished and put the whole thing on the disc.
Re: Shadow of the Tomb Raider Warms Up with The Forge
Too bad they can't finish Rise of the Tomb Raider first and get that PS4 HDR update out. Until then, I'm not buying anything else from them. They should finish what they start first.

Re: PlayStation Classic Allows You to Create Resume Points in Games
There's a Gamespot review video on YouTube...
They weren't impressed and felt the product was rushed & limited.
Bought Mini NES & SNES for my son and the features are really polished.
You get scanlines and wallpapers, little items in the interface animate.
They feel fun to use, work well, and make the older games look good.
Re: Fallout 76's Gigantic Day One Patch Is Bigger Than the 45GB Game
100GB? Sounds like a sloppy, unoptimized mess.
Re: This PS4 Synthwave Dynamic Theme Bundle Is Pretty Darn Cool
Might need to check this out for my OLED. Might be worth it.
I was hoping for that PS5 teaser (ribbon of color on black).
Re: Guide: All PS4 HDR Compatible Games
I wish there was some update on Rise of the Tomb Raider.
Xbox has had HDR for like a year now, and we were supposed to get the finished, best version of the game when exclusivity ended.
Yeah, right...
Re: Report Suggests Diablo 4 Announcement Was Removed from BlizzCon 2018
There's so many exciting things they could have announced...
Why isn't Diablo (PS1) available to downloaded on PS3?
The game costs alot on disc (very rare), so that would be great.
People have been asking for Druid to be add to D3, that would be cool.
People have been asking for a full D2 remaster with console versions.
Then there's D4, but I get that that's a long way off...
But instead we get a freakin' mobile game loaded with microtransactions.
10 Health Potions for only $5... anyone?...anyone?
Re: Rumour: Is Sony Planning More MediEvil Games?
Day One.
And if it sells well enough there will be more, I'm sure.
If this is a remake of the 1st game, then the 2nd could happen too.
Re: Guide: Spyro: Reignited Trilogy FAQ - Everything You Need to Know
Good to hear about Pro support and HDR.
But I'm still 'wait and see' because of the rest of it.
Re: A New Diablo Game's Been Announced, But It's Not the One a Lot of People Wanted
Someone miscalculated big-time...
This is not the kind of game you hype to the hardcore at BlizCon.
This trailer should have been quietly released before the show and then downplayed.
This 'big Diablo reveal' was a huge flop and has now damaged the franchise.
Sad day for Diablo fans.
Re: Spyro: Reignited Trilogy Soundtrack Has Original Composer Stewart Copeland's Blessing
I have a dual-channel cable modem on major urban broadband service.
My 5-year-old PC can download a 500MB virus update file in 8-10 seconds.
But on PSN even a small patch or game download can take almost a half-hour.
When the Tetris Demo finally appeared today, it downloaded at about 2-5MB per second on a PS4 Pro connected to the 5G band on my wireless network.
My PC is also connected to the same wireless network (legacy 2G) and gets about 45MB per second.
No, it's really on Sony's end... everything with Sony is pretty slow mostly.
If anything downloads quickly with Sony, I'm borderline shocked.

Re: Is Sony Hinting at Fewer PS4 Price Promotions This Holiday?
Sony: Give us all something to celebrate.
Release or sell (in the store) your completed PS2 emulator.
I'd like to play some older games with less jaggies (bane of PS2 era).
The emulator could be YMMY, it will never be totally 100%.
Re: Spyro: Reignited Trilogy Still Requires Content Download for Second and Third Games
All this nonsense is going to cripple the Day One sales.
Who want to be the guinea pig for this wacky physical release?
Not me, I'll wait awhile and pay less too. Nice work Activision.

Re: Officially Licensed PlayStation Furniture Is a Thing Now
The wall hanging does look nice.
Re: Free-to-Play Action RPG Path of Exile Could Be Coming to PS4
As a D3 fan, I would at least try it...
Re: Blizzard Tempers Expectations for Big Diablo News at BlizzCon 2018
Yes...console remasters for D1 & D2, please.
Re: Diablo: Reign of Terror Merch Has Nothing to Do with New Games or Announcements, Says Blizzard
Anyone salty over Switch getting a custom Diablo system?
Came as a bit of a shock to me, PlayStation never got anything like that.
Oh well...maybe when they put out console remasters of D1 & D2?
Just dreaming...
Re: Diablo III Cross-Play May Not Be Happening After All
A little worried about erradic moves by Blizzard lately.
Diablo comic announced...and then cancelled.
Netflix show announced...and then cancelled.
Cross-play announced...and then retracted.
I'm hoping for BlizCon announcement about D1 and D2 remasters now.
Having all Diablo games ported to console would be amazing!
Maybe they could have in-game rewards (classic transmogs) for playing all the games on PlayStation.
Re: 19 Years Later, the PS2 Is Officially Done, Dead, Finished as Sony Ends Customer Support
I wish they allowed firmware updates via USB.
The PS2 OS was always pretty awful and ugly.
I wish Sony could have evolved it over time and made it better.
I could get back into the PS2 more if the OS wasn't so clunky.
Re: Onimusha: Warlords Comes to PS4 with Enhanced Graphics and Features in 2019
Too bad they couldn't remaster the whole Trilogy, isn't that how these things usually work?
I'd rather pay $39 for a Trilogy, than $20 for first game only.
The 4th game, Dawn of Dreams, could have been DLC or just a download game.
Re: Gamescom 2018: Spyro: Reignited Trilogy Looks Superb in New Gameplay Video
@Flaming_Kaiser
I recall seeing a download disclaimer on Switch version of the new Wolfenstein.
Blizzard had to officially state that D3 for Switch was fully on the cartridge to calm people down.
So yeah, this is potentially an issue for AAA 3rd party games on the Switch.
Re: Guide: How to Buy 500 Million Limited Edition PS4 Pro, DualShock 4, and Wireless Headset
Amazon is $1,609?
Total Insanity...
Re: Gamescom 2018: Spyro: Reignited Trilogy Looks Superb in New Gameplay Video
If this disc doesn't have all three games, there will be hell to pay.
Not trying to be dramatic, it's just simple honestly / competency.
There's similar concerns about AAA Switch games on tiny carts, that are just download footprints.
Re: Spyro: Reignited Trilogy Delayed to November
Can we now assume that all three games will be on the trilogy disc?
Re: PSVR Passes Three Million Units Milestone
I'm just glad that PSVR now plays 3D movies...
If my 3D OLED ever fails (god forbid), I'll still have PSVR.
I also wish Sony would have a VR Anniversary sale in America.
I'd like to get good deals on SuperHot, JobSim, Bzone, and Rez.
Usually only the VR duds are on sale here, from what I can see.
Re: PlayStation Celebrates 500 Million Console Sales With Limited Edition PS4 Pro
Nice system.
Too bad Sony can't do something big with BC.
They could release the PS2 emulator for PS4.
Hell, I'd even settle for buying it in the PSN store.
Re: New Spyro: Reignited Trilogy Screenshots Showcase Year of the Dragon
This feels like the Xbox One rollout debacle.
Activision is playing with fire here and will regret it.
If all three games are on the disc, they need to say it.
If they had some 'unlock' policy, they better change it.
It's going to be very obvious what's going on at launch.
They need to fix this now, before blowing all their sales.
Re: New Spyro: Reignited Trilogy Screenshots Showcase Year of the Dragon
No sale, due to games not being on the disc.
Pity, this was going to be Day One like Crash.
I'll get this next year for less on a Plus sale or something.
Not paying full price and rewarding Activision's shady scam.
Re: Spyro Reignited Trilogy Only Includes the First Game on the Blu-ray
I was Day One for this collection, now that's off.
I need more information about this situation...
I may buy Digital next year when it's on sale. For now, sale lost.
Re: PS4 Firmware Update 6.0 Beta Includes Performance Fixes
I always assumed the lag and janky-ness came for the PlayStation Network not being responsive enough.
Between the store, what's new, friends crap, trophy stuff, auto saves, Plus verification checks...PSN needs to be more responsive.
Re: Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice Updated on PS4 Despite Microsoft Acquisition
I need to get this game.
Now if only Rise of the Tomb Raider would get the Xbox HDR update.
Re: Adorable Platformer Astro Bot Rescue Mission Jumps onto PSVR in October
My kid cannot wait for this...
Re: Guide: Most Addictive PS4 Loot and Grind Games
Shutter to think how much D3 I've played on PlayStation.
The game is so seductive to me in terms of atmosphere and loot.
I still boot up the PS3 original and blow hours looking for Lv 60 Demon Skin Plan...maybe someday I'll find it.
Re: E3 2018: Ikaruga Finally Fires to PS4 on 29th June
Back when this game came out, CRT TVs were still the thing.
They were really heavy even at normal sizes, like 27" for example.
I remember alot of stories about people accidentally breaking their TVs by rotating for vertical play and then not securing it properly.
Re: E3 2018: We Happy Few Will Still Release on PS4 Despite Xbox Acquisition
I wonder if some of these companies are doing the right thing by going 1st Party MS.
Doesn't seem like the best way to sell more games...
Few years from now, MS might be shutting them down.
Re: E3 2018: The Elder Scrolls VI Setting May Be Hammerfell
Too bad Morrowind never got ported to a Sony system.
Had to buy an old Xbox copy to play on my dusty X1.
It's almost like a retro system now.
Re: E3 2018: Ikaruga Finally Fires to PS4 on 29th June
Day One. I think I have the Dreamcast version from Japan.
But 4K Pro support on my main TV with a Sony controller? Hell yeah!
Looking forward to playing co-op with my son. Nice price too...
Re: PS4 Is Way Ahead of Xbox One in Total Console Sales, Says New Data
I bet about 30% of those Xbox One units are collecting dust at GameStop waiting for a new owner that's never coming...
Re: The Pinball Arcade Loses Williams, Bally Licenses on 30th June
I just bought Season 6 & 7, I now own all Pinball Arcade tables.
Compared to the price of even one actual machine, this the deal of a lifetime.
Bring on the Stern tables for Season 8!
Re: The Pinball Arcade Loses Williams, Bally Licenses on 30th June
I was always annoyed that the Williams table Sorcerer was never supported.
Guess it just goes to show, things can always get worse...
EDIT: Wait a minute, did they just add it in 2018?, I'm buy it ASAP.
