We've made it known that we hope Baldur's Gate 3 comes to consoles after its initial launch on PC and Google Stadia. The RPG from Larian Studios is shaping to be something pretty special, especially off the back of Divinity: Original Sin and its phenomenal sequel, and it would certainly be a shame to have to miss out on it. So, it's certainly welcome news that the developer is open to the idea of bringing the game to consoles.

In an interview with GameSpot, creative director Swen Vincke said: "We're going to first focus very hard on getting those two to work, and then we'll see what happens." After the two Divinity: Original Sin titles both eventually made their way to PlayStation 4, we'd be surprised if Baldur's Gate 3 skips the next-gen systems. Pencil this one in for 2022 or maybe 2023 on PlayStation 5.
