It had been widely accepted that Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning would be coming to PlayStation 4 next month following a leak, but that isn't actually the case. The remaster of this last-gen RPG is releasing on current-gen consoles on 8th September 2020, and what's more, it's getting an entirely new expansion in 2021 named Fatesworn. Check out the announcement trailer above for more context.

A standard edition of the game will be priced at £34.99/$39.99, or you can opt for the Fate Edition which will include the Fatesworn expansion when it launches for £47.99/$54.99.

The CGI footage is accompanied by a YouTube description which touches on "stunning visuals, refined gameplay and all new content". The new content in question is, of course, Fatesworn. This DLC is said to delve into the future of the Fateless One. So, there we have it. Kingdoms of Amalur: Re-Reckoning is a complete remaster of the original game and all its DLC along with a new expansion arriving next year. You'll have to pay for that, but it's still pretty exciting.
