Haven’t played Yotei but the story seems so basic. The main character is out for revenge. That’s it. There doesn’t seem to be any nuance or complexity. And you know she will get revenge because the game was made to be beaten. It looks and (seemingly) plays great, it’s just a shame the premise is so boring.

But there’s just something about throwing a Poké ball at a Pokémon and catching it that is inherently fun. That’s what I dreamed of doing while playing Pokémon Red back in the day. If the game was just that, I’d probably still play it.
