GTA 6

GTA 6 will be available to pre-order worldwide in the next 24 hours, and Rockstar has shared more regarding the release across digital and physical platforms.

What will alarm physical enthusiasts, though, is it doesn't look like the boxed copy of GTA 6 will come with a PS5 disc — it's a digital code in the box. A press release states:

Players who pre-order digital versions of Grand Theft Auto VI will be able to begin pre-loading on November 12 to ensure they are able to play at launch on November 19. The physical version of Grand Theft Auto VI, containing a download code inside the box, will be available starting November 12 to support pre-loading.

With the release date still set for 19th November 2026, the information shares pre-load will go live from 12th November, one week early. There's no mention of an early access phase either, so everyone will gain access on the same day no matter what version they pre-order. There's a standard edition and an Ultimate Edition revealed.

The lack of a disc for GTA 6 in physical versions is confirmed further by a note in the pre-order details sent to press:

"Physical copies of GTAVI will contain a code that can be redeemed for the digital download of the game. A disc will not be included in the box."
