It's been a really busy couple of weeks here at Push Square Towers with all the livestreams and news, so we're all looking forward to a spot of downtime over the coming days. You can tell everyone on the team's been busy, because no one replied to my request for WAYP.
Jamie O'Neill
My girlfriend treated us both to tickets to watch The Mandalorian and Grogu, which led to me playing the early Endor, Jakku and Finalizer sections of LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

I'm trying to catch up on Wuthering Waves which is probably going to take me months the rate I'm going, but I did also download Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. Need to get that cleared before next spring.

I think Mina the Hollower has one more chance with me this weekend. I'm in the third zone and it's been fine so far but I'm growing quite tired of feeling frustrated and lost. It's definitely grown on me a bit after a very rough start, so I'm really hoping to make some progress and see more of the game.
That's what we're playing this weekend, then, but as always we're turning the floor over to you. What's on your agenda? Let us know in the comments section below.

I am starting my second ever run of Bloodborne (on PS5), this time I will aim to complete most of the content as I have never played the DLC. I just passed Father Gascoigne and went deeper in Yharnam. It will be fun
I am also playing Half-Life on the Steam Deck and yesterday I got the Disney Afternoon Collection so I will play that as well.
Happy gaming everyone!!!
LEGO Batman (2008)
Sea of Thieves - gotta get those last season pass levels
Ghost Pilots
Garden work (IRL)
Happy weekend everyone!
After 35hrs I finally platted RE:Requiem, fantastic game although not my absolute favourite, it’s up there ☝️.
Got a free house today (apart from my very bouncy German Shepherd) so it’s going to be more RE with RE2R and RE4R
Still crafting and getting destroyed by massive bugs in Grounded 👌
Going to an arcade with my mate and his son for some Time crisis, Point Blank and SEGA Rally etc this afternoon.
Have a great gaming weekend Pushsquarians! 🍻
Time for Hard Mode in FF7 Rebirth! Just finished ‘No Sleep For Kaname Date’ last night
Battling into getting FF7 remake and rebirth as a pack or Expedition 33. Otherwise the classic Helldivers 2 and Pirate Warriors 4.
i’ll be accidentally attacking my horse in ghost of yotei and i might start star fox adventure on the dolphin emulator.
@Zuljaras Happy gaming, really wish I had hardware to replay Half Life.
How was your holiday mate?
Marathon Season 2 and Assassin's Creed Mirage.
Ticking over on Yakuza Kiwami 3 and might make a start on Dying Light 2 if I can find the time. Heard off @CaptD that they’ve added a third person mode recently, so sounds like the right time to finally give it a go.
I started Expedition 33. Way at the beginning as I just finished the prologue. Liking it so far though. Will probably play Tekken 8 or Street Fighter 6 as well.
Got the plat for Diablo IV is yesterday so feels a bit weird to be free of that grind... Not sure if I should start something new or go back to stuff I'm partway through (Returnal, SW Outlaws, Space Marine 2, TMNHades). Will probably grind some more miles on Lego 2k Drive instead!
Have a great weekend whatever you're up to PS fam
Finished Ghost Recon Breakpoint and Tides of Tomorrow this week.
Ghost Recon was pretty mid. Usual Ubisoft map with a lot of markers. Just played the campaign.
Tides of Tomorrow was pretty good. I will give it a second playthrough and go for the bad ending.
I checked my backlog of shame and decided to start Assassins Creed Mirage. I've only played the first and third game in this series. Also aiming to do the mainquest and leave al the rest for what it is.
Have a great weekend.
I picked up two games after finishing Bond last time 😊
Darwin's Paradox-which I've finished and platinumed. It was a very fun, sometimes a bit frustrating and pretty original platformer. Pretty good humour too, imo. Theres a demo on Playstation at least, I can really recommend trying it. Took me about 6 hours or so, and its priced on the lower side so thats nice too!
Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight - So, I used the "I can play this with the kids" excuse with the wife even if I mainly wanted to play it myself but for the love of my balls dont tell her 😬😂 I must say, I'm very surprised at how good this is. I have played it mostly by myself but I have played some shorter sessions with the kids too, which was really fun. It doesnt really play like a Lego game imo (at least not the ones I've played a little bit of here and there), its more like playing Arkham Knight in Lego form. Sure, the puzzles and such are a bit easier but the combat and exploration and the look of the city is great. The Batcave is also really cool. My only complaint is that its really heavy on the collectibles. Still, really good game and really fun to play!
Have a great weekend!
Currently trying to platinum Fatal Frame Mask of the lunar eclipse I plan on also getting the platinum for Maiden of Black water and 2 remake.
Keeping the stakes low this weekend with a bit of Jusant and possibly some Balatro.
Have a boss weekend everyone and happy gaming 👍
@AgentCooper It was amazing Thanks! 9 days on the beach really makes you hungry for gaming
You don't have a PC/Laptop to play HL1?
After 4 years I've gone back to GoWR and started an NG+ play through so will be continuing with that. Looks stunning on the Pro. Probably do some Horizon 6 weekly stuff as well.
Just bought Absolum, so will be playing that today. Still playing through RDR2 as well, but the game stumbles in its brilliance with lots of annoyances.
Tomb Raider (2013) but I’ve spent most weekends this year playing a Tomb Raider game. My aim was to play through all 12 games this year but over the last month or so I’ve been on a roll, completing Tomb Raider Revelation, Chronicles, Angel of Darkness, Legend, Anniversary and Underworld
Ive put Crimson Desert on hold for a week ( love the game but I need a life ha ha ) to finish the brilliant First Light Tac Sims and do a replay of the whole game.
Also, after 16 years ive finally started God Of War II HD Version, on PS3. I've never played it before (that opening level...just, WOW) but ive dug the PS3 out to finish some games before I finally pack it away for good. Sobs ....
More Forza Horizon 6 on XBX, a superb, albeit familiar, racer.
Have a great weekend guys and gals ❤️
Greetings fellow video game enthusiasts. I currently have a fever. WORLD CUP fever! I am about to wrap up Stellar Blade, which I have enjoyed immensely, maybe too immensely. I will then play Inazuma Eleven Victory Road because football. Happy world cup and gaming time everyone.
Well my beloved T598 was returned to me this week and it's all good and working just fine and dandy so it's as much rallying as I can cram into this weekend. The obligatory marathon session this evening with the usual suspects and whatever world Cup matches I can stay awake for..come on Scotland.. Have a great weekend folks as always 👍
@GuttyYZ sorry I bailed just as you showed up last night but I had to watch the footie..
Final Fantasy XII. I've grinded Vaan to level 40 before even Penelo joined the party and now I'm off to Raithwall's Tomb with the gang ready for anything all at level 42 (not the band).
I'll also be watching some World Cup footy into the early mornings. USA were pretty impressive but at the same time Paraguay were awful.
@AgentCooper ...if you ever do get a PC or Steam Deck and play Half Life, make sure its the 'Black Mesa' version. Still one of the best games ever made
@Zuljaras I love a good holiday but not many better feelings than being back in your own home afterwards and booting a good game 😃
Unfortunately, I don't, but I'm looking to pick something up in the not too distant future as I also have a massive indie Wishlist that looks like it will always be PC
@KingPev Yeah I heard good things about that version. Thanks mate 👍
Still playing Hades II. I beat the game two days ago and now I'm clearing some additional tasks. I need to find the Fates, for example. I may even go for the platinum, if it's not much of a grind.
I just bought resident evil requiem yesterday so I'll definitely be playing some of that also some mass effect 2 legendary edition and maybe some Forza horizon and undisputed!
Happy weekend everyone!
I'm properly back into Destiny 2, which is getting in the way of Marathon season 2, ironically. There's a lot to learn (and re-learn) since The Final Shape. The bonus is that, even though there'll be no more new content, I have a year of content that's new for me to catch up on. See you starside, Guardians - and hopefully a few of you on Tau Ceti as well.
Have a great weekend, enjoy the football too!
Greetings, good people.
I've been playing, and will be for a while, it seems, Genma Onimusha. (via emulator on steam deck). Who knew that definitive version of first Onimusha game was on original Xbox? Not me until my friend told me about it. I've only played 3 and 4 during PS2 days, so I decided to revisit first two games before Way of the Sword. Xbox vesion is clearly superior, it has new content, new enemies, new areas, and even new gameplay mechanics. But! The sh*t hits hard. I die. A lot. Every enemy encounter could easily slice you to ribbons. And after you die, it's back to title screen with you, like in good old days. Oh, and it also has new unkillable enemy that stalks you through the whole game. She has more health than most bosses, invincible to normal attacks, and even if you manage to defeat her, she respawns soon, have fun. Supposedly it is 6 hours game, but I've been struggling for several days already. good game, try it.
That's all for now, love each other and have a great weekend.
Breath of the Wild: Finished Super Mario Odyssey and with Ocarina coming up I decided to immerse myself in Zelda lore once again. It's been five years since I played this as my first entry in the series and it's relaxing fun to dive back into Hyrule and build myself up from ground zero to the Hero of the Wilds.
Currently finishing up Lego Batman Dark knight, which I think has become my favourite Lego game. I’m also going to be heading back to Dragons dogma, to chase some final trophies………-and deal with Bitterblack isle.
I'm near the end of 007 First Light so hopefully finish that so i can get back to Crimson Desert and Starfield if the crashing has actually been fixed. I'll also play Forza for a while later on to help keep me awake for the scotland game.
I will continued playing fan favorite the incredible watch dogs 2.i will also be playing the instant classic the amazing dying light the following enhanced edition I will be watching the nba finals.i will be watching the world 🌎 cup I will be watching legendary sitcoms TV 📺 comedy shows in family matters.good times.the Jeffersons.sanford and son.different strokes.martin.the wayans brothers.married with children and saved by the bell Word up son
I will be continuing my spy escapades with 007 First Light. Then also playing a little Ea FC26 whilst watching the World Cup. Happy Gaming All.
Mostly James Bond this weekend. Don't really want the main story to end. Heard mixed things about the TacSim but confident that IOI will hit their stride in time adding new content like Hitman.
Also been trying out a few Game Trials.
The Eternal Life of Goldman is absolutely magic.
And Onimusha was some pretty good fun hack n slash that took me back to ps3 days
Have a great weekend all.
Got the platinum for Enotria yesterday, so starting today I'll be focusing on The Somnium Files: No Sleep for Kaname Date. Really like this series so hopefully this smaller entry will be a good one as well.
I’m all in on First Light and Mouse PI right now. Beyond that I picked up Sektori in the sale and I’d love to finish the Pragmata platinum.
Enjoy the weekend of games everyone!
Still playing my backlog in alphabetical order lol
So I’ve recently finished
Achilles: Legends Untold
Akimbot
Balan Wonderworld
Beyond A Steel Sky
Blacktail
CarX Street
Cat Named Mojave
Conscript
Cubic Odyssey
CYGNI: All Guns Blazing
Darwin’s Paradox
And now it’s onto Daymare: 1994: Sandcastle
The good thing about this is I’m playing games I probably wouldn’t pick to play next.
Cyberpunk 2077 on Switch 2
I‘ve played it before on PS5 with version 1.5.3, and while that was a stable experience, in comparison, version 2.3.1 feels like a MUCH better game. Finally, the RPG systems make sense, and I understand how to combine upgraded for a certain playstyle.
And with the cosy playing with a handheld on the sofa or in a train, I take more time to explore the world and do sidequests, wjich are often surprisingly entertaining and tragic.
Habdhelds are great for RPGs! Let’s see if Sony will bring the rumoured PlayStation handheld for an attractive price.
Dragon Warrior (NES) - Been a minute since I played this, so I thought it was long overdue.
Jet Car Stunts (Windows Phone) - Having a break with this in between the level grinding.
Trucking 3D (Windows Phone) - Sadly nearing the end of this. I'll actually miss this one, thankfully I still have it on XPC though.
Still on Rise of the Ronin on PS5 which has got more enjoyable after I dropped the difficulty down to Dawn (Easy). It's not something I like doing but the scaling is all over the place. The combat is also so heavily flawed that it went past challenging to just not being fun. I like a lot of the elements of the game but Team Ninja really dropped the ball with the combat.
Finally finished Season 13 in Diablo 4 with my my spin to win Barbarian. I was stuck on T10 Mephisto which was holding up my seasonal journey. Finally got a Selig amulet drop however and it went from an impossible flight to comically easy.
Need to find something New to start on PC which will probably be a CRPG. Either Icewind Dale EE, Pathfinder Kingmaker or Disco Elysium.
Been in a mood to play fps games. So I’ve replaying advanced warfare, enjoying it. Wish Sony would make new and more fps games(single player obviously) tho
Made a lot of progress on the unsettling and always dark Alan Wake 2. Solving those cult stash puzzles is interesting. Art direction is very neat overall. Back on one of the best open worlds in recent times - CP2077, it just never gets old. Still on the mindless FC6 also, then some EAWRC. Bit of the old games too - HZD and GoW
I've taken a break from my procession through Resident Evil titles to play some Granblue Fantasy Relink and Echoes of The End. I also picked up a month of FFXI during the recent sale-type-thing so I'll probably play me some more Beastmaster this evening.
@trymer89 ....i put 975 hrs into BOTW...Ive recently bought a Switch 2 and BOTW switch 2 version. Time for another 975 hrs. Its a work of art
@shonenjump86 I hope you enjoy expedition 33 my friend if it clicks with you your in for one amazing gaming experience definitely one of my games of the generation.
There's a world cup... hosted by the orange war criminal clown and the Italian Mafia baby. It is going to be the worst World Cup or second worst after the WC in Dubai. I don't have time to list everything that is wrong with it.
I almost finished Star Wars: Outlaws which has been a cool experience on the PS Plus. The feeling of being part of the Star Wars universe is really great, and I haven't had that experience before in an Open World-game. Also, the graphics of PS5 Pro keeps me enthralled and impressed. All I need to do is wrap up the last DLC and then the well's dried out for me in terms of content.
I recently bought Dragon's Dogma 2 and have felt an urge to properly get into this game that harkens back to many, many years of watching the series from afar wondering if I should pick it up.
I can finally say that I'm playing and enjoying DG2.
Recently finished Alan Wake and started playing the sequel, but giving it up after a few hours - amazing graphics and atmosphere but having to constantly access and navigate Sana’s “Mind Place” has been a real chore that completely ruins the flow of the game for me. I would have much preferred if they just let players collect notes and pieces of evidence and let those keen to know more about the lore look at such things in a sub menu or something in their own time.
Anyway, I’ve decided to go back to Tokyo Jungle, Pac-Man DX, Motorstorm, and Renegade Ops on the PS3 and immediately having way more fun!
Happy gaming all!
Doing a Grandia II HD playthrough as I finally picked it up in the days of play sale.
Revisited Saros for the photo-safari of Carcosa - it was fun!
@KingPev Well I feel like a novice (lol); I only put in 175 hours.
Unfortunately I don’t have anything I’m playing right now so I’m on the hunt for something new. While there’s a handful of new games out right now I’d like to play I just can’t bring myself to spend full price for any of them when I know full well they’ll be on sale or have a price drop in a few months time. So, I’ve been looking through the PS+ Extra catalog and there’s a few I’m considering but nothing really that’s grabbing me. Just as well I suppose as I don’t have a lot of time to play anyway this weekend. I’ll figure something out. Hope everyone enjoys whatever they’re playing. No rage quitting! 😉😂
I’ve been faffing about with a dual boot pc rebuild for ages (replete with secure boot horrors), so ive only really been playing Graveyard Keeper (pathalogically addictive once you get deep into it).
I’ve pretty much finished my Soulsborne replay and now im on the best SNES-like RPG in years CrossCode well worth a look! Plus it has a fantastic OST (it’s on Spotify), up their with FF and Chronotrigger
Have a great weekend folks!
Keep being tempted to buy First Light but it's a bit much for a relatively short game (I almost always play games that are 70+ hours) and it's summer now, well technically 🌦, so this is when I'm normally doing my other hobbies that are more outdoorsy.
The next games I'll definitely get are GTA6, then Fable. And of course, Fable has been delayed by months because of GTA...
@trymer89 ...lightweight !! 🤣🤣🤣
I finished a run of Code Veronica X last night. Boy was I rusty, but it was still a great deal of fun.
This weekend, I haven't settled on anything yet. I'd like to pick back up an RPG, maybe Tales of Arise or Trails in the Sky FC (stuck on a boss fight in Chapter 1). I also grabbed a physical copy of Triangle Strategy for PS5. Maybe I'll give that a go.
Failing all that, I could just continue on with some other Resident Evil games - I haven't played through Zero in a VERY long time.
Have a great weekend, everybody.
Hoping to finish off Lego Batman which has been great but I still prefer Lego Star Wars Saga, itching to get on with Bond and also got Evercade Activision Collection 2 yesterday so gonna try HERO and for nostalgia a bit of skiing!
Good luck to Scotland tonight & happy gaming folks
Um... bit of 007, until Crimson Desert sucks me back in. Per usual.
I’m working on finishing up the platinum for 007 First Light.
Elden Ring, EA 26, watching the World Cup. Stupidly I've also started Silksong, as though I've not got enough on
Parties + sports, being a grown up, no time for gaming Dr Jones!
(Although I may stay up past 1am to sneak in some Star Wars Outlaws)
Star Wars Outlaws, Ufo 50, and Ori
Was trying some older games on steamdeck (Ori, Sleeping Dogs), will check some more from my steam library over the weekend. My main game is Immortals Fenyx Rising on ps5, so will continue playing that.
Also probably some F1, darts and WC in TV. Whatever you'll be doing, have fun!
Dragon’s Dogma Dark Arisen. After finishing Dragon’s Dogma 2, I had to scratch the itch. Definitely one of my all time favorite gaming series!
I'm just about finished with Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar, so after that I'll go back to my interrupted replay of LA Noire. We're also painfully making our way through Banjo-Tooie for a few hours every night, we'll see how long that lasts!
Hi, it's my first time here. I'm from Brazil, and i love games.
This weekend i'm playing Infamous Second Son. I've played in launch and never play after this, 12y kkkk. It's fantastic, it get old very well
Reading comments here i see some folks talking about the price of the games, and how they are expenssive. Duuude, if you live in Brazil you will get crazy!! Here, a game cost 349-399, and you're with 50-70 and think it's bad kkkkk here it's a hell to play games cause it's VERY expenssive
This weekend i'll take some break from gaming. I don't feel like i have enough motivation to boot up my console and spend hours staring at screens.
And i just bought a couple of manga (One Piece, City Hunter, JJK, and Tokyo Revengers). So, i think this weekend i'll spend my time with the books.
Have a good weekend everyone. Cheers 🍻
@VanninGuts Bem-vindo
@psmr thanks man 😁
I took a small break from Crimson desert after I received my PS portal.
Now I'm set to give Destiny 2 a proper playthrough. Playing as a warlock is real fun and all!
And also decided to give Avowed another chance. For some reason it didn't really click with me, but now I'm slowly getting to enjoy it.
And last but not least Gothic 1 Remake. Once you accept the jank... the game really shines. Difficulty wasnt what I expected at first. But after gotten into chapter two, the difficulty seems to become less of an obstacle. Which also makes me wonder wether or not the game continues to challenge you, or become a super powered mage playground... only time will tell.
Have a great weekend everyone!
@Northern_munkey Haha no worries, next time, I'll probably be on tomorrow evening.
Having nearly burned out on JRPGs after 154hrs and 1 trophy to go before platinuming Octopath Traveler 0 I downloaded Rise of the Tomb Raider from PS Plus to give it go. I still need to fire up Crimson Desert tho.
Have a great weekend everyone, whether you're playing a game or watching a game. 🌐🏆
Still mostly playing Crimson desert. Have now unlocked all elemental abilities - and I couldn’t quite believe just how many hoops you have to jump through to get them! Saying that, it was completely worth it! Have just started chapter 9, which means for the first time I’m finally in the titular region of the desert itself. Only took 150 hours lol!
In Bus bound I’ve finally upgraded all districts and unlocked all buses. Will probably take a rest from the game now until some DLC comes out.
During the week I bought another game published by Saber interactive - Docked - which I may start over the weekend.
@VanninGuts Welcome! 😃 I loved Second Son. Hoping we get Infamous 1&2 Remastered soon.
Death Stranding 2 on PS5 and the Star Fox Demo on my newly-acquired Switch 2
@3Above the rumors are that they're making the first Infamous Remake. I hope it's true
I finished Mixtap last night and I’m genuinely surprised by how many people got upset that the game reviewed relatively well. The first maybe third of the game was sort of slow, but that’s sort of emulating how being a teenager is. The game gets better the further you get in. It’s not about failsafes or gameplay so much as it’s much as it’s about the characters. They seem unlikeable and self-absorbed at first, but, again, that’s teenagers, isn’t it? It develops into something more bittersweet than I expected it to be from the early portion of the game.
Outside that, I’m honestly sort of burnt out of Crimson Desert, so I’m having a hard time going back to it after taking a break to focus on Mina the Hollower. So I dunno what I’m playing. Lol. There’s some games coming out in the next couple weeks that I want to play, so I might just keep things easy right now and not commit to any big games.
This morning while my 2 year old was having his nap I finished off History:Legends of war Vita platinum! Good little game that. Later on I’m continuing with my TLOU2 permadeath playthrough and some more world photography on Flight sim 24 (that damn fauna collection is insanely hard to finish).
@naruball
It’s not much of a grind at all, and gives a nice sense of completion. hades 1 on the other hand I did find a bit of a grind, but might have to go back to it now to get the set.
@get2sammyB I thought the Wuthering Waves X CyberPunk Edgerunners crossover was excellent.
However WARNING I assume this heavily spoils the ending and some key moments in Edgerunners. I haven’t watched that yet but assume this is a continuation that spoils some characters fates.
@Skinny-Pete it definitely has my interest. So I’m definitely playing it over the weekend. So far so good. 👍🏾
Grounded thanks to ps+ essential. It has no right being as good as it is. I like the idea of survival games but I don't play a lot of them as they tend to be flawed, unpolished janky games but this is right up there with abiotic factor as one of the best I've played. Been totally hooked. There is actually a tonne of potential easy improvements to make this into a true behemoth which I'm hopefully they implement into the sequel.
@Zuljaras enjoy Maria for me won’t you. One of the best dlc’s in gaming 👍🏻
@Kiefer-Sutherland hey man I recently picked up Beyond a steel sky it was on sale for £3:50 or summat ridiculous like that. Is it any good?. I’m a huge fan of Charles Cecil and Revolution!! Courtesy of Broken Sword!
Trying to crack the 500hr mark with yet another character in Dragons Dogma 2. I'll easily make it to NG+ again in time for Dark Arisen but I wanna have fun exploring along the way (all over again 😁).
I gotta say it's bizarre returning to this game after Crimson Desert. Both are in my list of GOATs and while there are so many similarities, there are just as many awesome unique factors in each. In my opinion both are representative of gaming freedom and escapism at it's peak ❤️
220 hours, and I am still only playing Skull and Bones. I think it's addictive.
After seeing FF7 Revelation revealed at SGF I had a hankering for some of it so I went back to FF7 Remake today and finished off a run through on hard and mopped up my missing trophies for the Platinum (number 118). Even on a third play through (one on PS4, two on PS5) it's still an incredible game, only irritation was having to replay chapters chapters again for the 9 dresses gong.
Also picked up Bond on Friday so that ready to start next, quite looking forward to it not really a Bond guy but this looks like it'll scratch that Uncharted itch.
PS5 - 007 First Light
Switch 2 - Pragmata
Thus far I’ve played Demon School, Saros (I am in the post credits bit) and Helldivers 2. I am planning to get in some GT7, Death Stranding 2 and Pragmata (there’s a fair bit I haven’t unlocked) tomorrow.
@4fold thanks! That makes all the difference. I loved Hades but going for the platinum felt like such a chore that it ended up leaving a bitter taste in my mouth. Same with games like Ni no Kuni.
@naruball
Basically just play as you would without considering trophies, ensuring to switch weapons and alternate surface/underworld as you go. Talk to everyone. Eventually ensure you are running at 12 fear for the added bonus every run, which should be easy once weapons are upgraded. By the time you’ve done all the weapons you’ll already have the kudos needed for that trophy, and most of the quests as long as you have been talking to everyone. Basically it plays itself as long as you don’t stick to one build. You might want a guide for a couple of the quests so you aren’t wasting runs very late game, but no grinding for resources, you don’t even need to play on high fear really, just enough to beat the alternate boses.
@GamingGod Yeah I recommend playing it. I got it for about £3.99 as well and it’s definitely worth that. Took me about 11 hours to beat but I enjoyed it start to finish. It’s got a good story, great voice acting and it’s funny at times too. I got stumped on a couple puzzles but overall the game isnt too challenging either.
