It's raining games again, and we're all busy playing various different things here at Push Square Towers. That means we've got a pretty varied WAYP this week.

A big ol' VR weekend for me this time out. Between working on the new Little Nightmares game and finally pulling the trigger on Metro: Awakening on the heels of its lowest price yet, it's looking like I'm going to have my headset for quite a lot of the weekend. Especially now I've just finished Platinuming Ghost of Yotei, so my big time-sink game is currently in flux!

Thanks again to DrVenture69 for recommending a 2TB M.2 SSD for my PS5 on Amazon back in WAYP 626, because it means I've lots of space for Ghost of Yotei, so I can play 12 PS5 games that aren't available on PS4 for my 2026 New Year’s gaming resolution.
Sammy Barker
I'm reviewing Invincible VS, so I'll be playing tons of that. I also want to wrap up all my outstanding Events in Honkai: Star Rail and Zenless Zone Zero, because I'm eagerly anticipating NTE next week.
Stephen Tailby
I still have some unfinished business with Saros, so I'll be returning to Carcosa this weekend.
That's what we're playing this weekend, then, but what about you? You know the drill by now: let us know in the comments section below.

After my Dark Souls marathon and finishing Bloodborne, I've gone back to Elden Ring. After the 30fps of Bloodborne, that game looks incredible, I think PSSR2 must be doing a glow-up too.
I've put about 20 hours into Graveyard Keeper, and I'm loving that too, it's a bit of a steep learning curve, but for me at least, it was really worth sticking with.
I tried the Vampire Crawlers demo on Steam which was fun, I get the feeling it's going to be a lot more rewarding the further you get into it. I was getting a bit of an Inscryption vibe (which is really worth checking out for the meta game alone if you like card games).
And you're more than welcome @JamieO. I'm glad you're having fun
And congrats to PushSquare for getting more than 500k followers! That jumped up quick!
Have a great weekend folks!
This weekend I am playing Bioshock Infinite (absolutely 10/10 game!) and I am trying something new, Steelrising!
I am taking a little break from Diablo 2!
On the side I will have GTA San Andreas! I just want to drive on the streets and wander around.
Happy gaming everyone!!!
EDIT:
I really hope this is NOT true!

Yesterday was my last day in work until 5 May, so wanted something to sink my teeth into… so maybe Starfield? I was also looking for something that would put my Pro through its paces though too, as I haven’t played anything that was pro-enhanced yet… so I seriously considered finally trying Cyberpunk 2077 🤔. I do love a big bombastic 1st party Sony blockbuster for a week off though, so ultimately settled on Ghost of Yotei. Most excited I’ve been about starting up a new game in a while.
Cyberpunk 2077 - So I made the mistake of starting a new game just to see how the PS5 Pro update was and ended up playing for way to long and now I cant drop it half done so I need to finish a quick playthrough 😅The pro update is really, really good and the game looks amazing on Ray Tracing Pro with 40 fps. Love this game!
Pragmata - I´m really enjoying this game, very good imo. It feels fresh, looks great and the gameplay is fun, shooting and hacking works great together, and theres a half interesting story there so far. Also really like the interaction between Hugh and Diana and how you build a relationship to both of them. Havent made it very far, just finished the second area, and Im really looking forward to playing more.
I took a few weeks off faming after my 150+ hours Elden Ring run and returned to my backlog now. First trying out Forspoken for a few hours, which I bought for € 9 and probably won’t be my thing.
If it won’t work out I’ll shift gears to Control.
Nudging 300hrs in Crimson Desert and just a few fish to find for the platinum.
I'm absolutely determined to be finished of this masterpiece by Monday morning.
7DS Origin and Root Letter
i’ll be attempting to platinum resident evil requiem for some reason, i need to find something else to play, maybe i should finally check out re6.
As always, more Mewgenics and more Pokémon Champions. I clawed my way up to Master Ball tier in Ranked Doubles with a massive (and lucky) win streak. Maybe I'll see if I can get to Champion tier within the season's two remaining weeks, maybe I'll just move on to Ranked Singles.
Other than that, I'm right at the end of Mafia: The Old Country, so I'll finish that today. I'm not entirely sure how I feel about that game yet, honestly. It's got a lot going for it, but at the same time it's got a lot wrong with it.
Battling through the latest season on the superb Diablo 4 on XBX - its amazing how much Blizzard has turned this game around. I'm literally counting down the minutes for the new Lord of Hatred expansion, the reviews have been glowing !
More Crimson Desert on Ps5 Pro, loving this most of the time yet sometimes I think its the most 5/10 game yet made, due to its quirks of gameplay.
Will play Marathon on all nighter on PS5 Pro - i very rarely buy extraction style, live service shooters but this game, well, its a fantastic example of a modern day FPS by the masters, Bungie. It's the freshest shooter in years. It's THAT good, cant recommend it highly enough to those that haven't played it.
I'll also finish the daft but enjoyable Battlefield Hardline campaign on XBX, before it sails off into the gaming sunset. I played it years ago on PS4 but mainly only multiplayer.
I bought Pragmata for PS5 pro too so thats Sunday sorted....with this, Saros and Lord Of Hatred out next week its a great time to be a gamer eh ?
Have a great weekend guys and gals ❤️
I'm over hundred hours in crimson desert and just now started chapter 9. Also still haven't explored 60% of the map at all.
I did hope to play MS Flight Sim in VR this weekend but it has been delayed till next week (I only have the physical version so can’t play the beta) so I might start Arcade Paradise instead.
Also trying to find the courage to start Lord(s) of the Fallen.
@psmr
I’m really itching to start Cyberpunk but also got the urge to play Killzone Shadow Fall.
Still playing Starfield. Started the DLC last night.
I'll also be playing Abiotic Factor in co-op. Be nice to get back to it after taking just over a month off.
I'm still very invested in Crimson Desert.
The sheer scale leaves me in awe every now and again. Game shows what investing time and love can create. To me this is really an amazing game. Game of the year for me personally.
Further more might start up a flight or two in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. Seeing as the next big PS5 update is around the corner. I really need to invest sometime in getting myself back in the cockpit.
Hope everyone has a great weekend!
Nearly purchased Hades 2 yesterday but I refused the inevitable gaming version of crack and settled for Arcade Paradise instead. Great little game so far.
Also lots of Resident Evil plus PGA Tour 2K25 and Snooker 19 with a mate on Sunday.
Vindaloo and football tonight as well!
Have a great gaming weekend Pushsquarians! 🍻
Continuing with Alan Wake 2 this weekend. It's strange that the game I chose to play as I reached a big birthday ended up having fear of getting old as one of its major themes. Cheers, irony 😂
Also continuing with Trails in the Sky the Third, up to a big boss battle that I'm currently trying to puzzle out the best strategy as I'm getting my ass whupped repeatedly.
Have a great weekend everyone.
Lord of the Rings: Gollum
Boardgames
Bits of fighting games.
Trail in the sky 1st chapter
Happy gaming everyone ^^
Pragmata
My GotY so far, and could still be up there come the year's end.
I'm almost at the end of it now. Missed a red key somewhere, and only had one Sweeper Bot spawn in my entire playthrough, so they've both sucked the sails out of 100%'ing it.
I've doubled back through the stages a bit, but still haven't found them (am playing the game blind).
Fun gaming wise I started a season with Buxton on Football Manager 26 so when I get chance I’ll be firing that up. Trophy hunting wise continuing with Planet Zoo platinum
@KingPev So Diablo 4 sounds like it's worth a shot now? I've about 200 hours on D3, got the Platinum trophy, etc.
@Darude84 ...I thought the same about Forspoken yet ended up loving it ! The DLC is pretty good too
Aside from Crimson Desert, Abiotic Factor and Ready or Not I’m also playing a game called Lil’ Guardsman.
Was really cheap in the sales so I figured I’d give it a shot. So far so good!
@MrPeanutbutterz ....its fantastic mate, its far removed from how it was at launch too. If you buy the new expansion you get the previous, Vessel of Hatred one too plus 2 new classes. Well worth it. It's much darker than D3 ( which i loved )
@DrVenture69 Trophy earned: "I beat Zuljaras!"
One step closer to the Push Square platinum trophy 😁
Off to Wembley for the day, but then back on Crimson Desert for whatever weekend I have left!
Still playing Judgment I'm right at the end now it's a really great game but i just want it to end now. I'll go back to Starfield if i finish Judgment. I also bought Sniper Elite 4 on the Switch so I'll play that some later on tonight.
@Almost_Ghostly ....why ? 🤣 kidding
I'm finishing off resident evil 4 separate ways dlc really enjoying it after that I really don't know what to play haha happy weekend folks!
@TimeDelayedGamer I know, right! By 2 seconds Sorry @Zuljaras, I bet it's because yours had images My life's purpose is now complete
I'll be trying to finish The Centennial Case ~ A Shijima Story, which is a pretty fun FMV mystery/detective game.
If I've got time to spare, I'll also keep playing Soul Hackers 2, since it's leaving Extra in the next update.
@DrVenture69 I first post in NintendoLife and then here. They made it so that both articles are posted together
Can't win them all
I will continued playing fan favorite the incredible assassin's creed odyssey gold edition. And I will continued playing one of the best video games ever made in the excellent red dead redemption 2.i will watch my boston celtics 💚🖤 play in the nba playoffs. I'm still celebrating 🍾 my michigan wolverines 💛 💙 🏆 winning the ncaa basketball 🏀 championship. I will be watching legendary sitcoms TV 📺 comedy shows in family matters.good times.the Jeffersons.sanford and son.different strokes.martin.the wayans brothers. Married with children and saved by the bell.word up son
I've put everything on pause to play Control before it leaves PS+. Its good. Its pretty freaky.
@playstation1995 .....can you squeeze any more sit coms in whilst you're at it ?? 🤣🤣
I am dropping my jaw every moment I boot up Cyberpunk 2077 on PS5 Pro.
How! am I playing such a gorgeous, well-made open world RPG FOR THE THIRD TIME and enjoying it so much and seeing it, in many ways, for the first time!?
The verticality of Night City and it's neon asthetics is phenomenal world-building and CD PR manages to make the city come alive with smart events popping up everywhere, traffic and pedestrian activity.
I play one-handed because I am pinching myself in disbelief of how fresh my third and last playthrough feels.
11 out of 10.
After finally finishing Nioh 3 last week, I needed something a bit slower paced, so I started Tomb Raider Remastered, expecting to play the first couple of levels for nostalgia and then dropping it.
I've just completed the Tomb of Tihocan and I'm loving it. The game still holds up.
Hades 2 still for me.
@psmr
You need to try Cyberpunk.
Yeah so Hades 2 is so good I bought Hades 1. The stories in both are so interesting you feel like you can't wait to find out more plus the art styles are lovely. Then it's finding other quests from tipsters in other places after Henry got whooped by a drunk in a tavern, turning some criminals in, had to flee Kuttenberg for some time before they find him, and so the adventures with interesting side quest storylines continue in KCD2. Traveling with the Colonel and the band in Metro Exodus. Hunting and crafting from the most realistic and stunning monsters you ever seen in a game in MHWilds.
i’m level 95 in Marathon so 5 more levels to go for my platinum then i need a break for a while. still really enjoying it but solo games feel like camper hell at the minute
@mac_da_man
Seconded! Although I am actually taking my time even in the third playthrough. The quality is definitely there.
@KingPev If I have time, I will also play Tales of the Shire.
@KingPev Yo @playstation1995 's sitcoms are legendary no contest. But I see he dropped "Nioh 2 and all its DLCs."
I'm nearly finished with the Legendary Edition of Mass Effect 3 and I also pre-ordered an upcoming game called Aphelion. It's giving Banishers mixed with Alien Isolation. Super excited! Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend.
@playstation1995 Remove Family Matters, Different Strokes, Martin, The Wayans Brothers, and Saved By the Bell. Replace them with All in the Family, Malcolm in the Middle, Newhart, Mary Hartman Mary Hartman, and Brady Bunch.
@Almost_Ghostly glutton for punishment ...enjoy 😉
@CaptD that’s disappointing about the PSVR2 delay for flight sim. Maybe it is finally time to dust off Cyberpunk from the backlog as @EfYI said
@TheArt ...he needs to finish one series at a time ! Drives my OCD wild 😅
Pragmata will be my focus this weekend until Saros later in the week.
However, I am working on an Insanity run in Requiem without Infinite Ammo and suffering greatly. I wish I had more CP and with most challenges complete I can’t get enough CP until I beat Insanity. So I refuse to give up with the platinum so close.
That’s it for me!
I found news about more and more Gen-Z and Alpha who can't do basic math. I myself a Millennial and i can do math just fine. But my Asian parents would kick my ass if i end up like these Gen-Z and Alpha kids lol. So i bought a second hand copy of Brain Age: Train Your Brain in Minutes a Day! (NDS) for like 8-9 bucks.
So far me and my younger brother really enjoyed this game. And i personally feels the daily training gave a nice impact for my mind. I feel a lot sharper which is cool.
Anyway. This weekend I'm also trying to finish some of my backlog:
Have a nice weekend everyone 🍻
Finished RE8 this week and what a ride it was. 9/10 for me!
Started the crew motorfest and I like this game a lot. Much better than Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown.
Almost done with Mouse p.i. Great game.
Ive downloaded Vampire crawlers and Tides of Tomorrow but they are for when I'm done with Mouse P.I.
Have a great weekend!
Finishing Super Mario Galaxy 2: Really enjoyed the tighter level design, new power ups (especially the Cloud Mushroom) and of course Yoshi with his various abilities. It's been a fun two and a half weeks, but now it's on to SpongeBob SquarePants: Titans of the Tide, which, as a big fan of the series, is sure to be goofy and surreal fun.
Crimson Desert; THERE CAN ONLY BE ONE!
I’m playing through the Shu campaign in Dynasty Warriors 8 Xtreme Legends Definitive Edition. I’ve already completed Wu, Wei and Lu Bu and only have Shu, Jin and Other left.
I’m also still playing Pragmata and I picked Theatrhythm Final Bar Line back up. Trying to get some all crits on expert and ultimate difficulty.
I finished my first playthrough of Ninja Gaiden:Ragebound, in the middle of the week. So this weekend i'll probably play more Pragmata I must be close the the boss in the third area. Loving it so far.
Have a great weekend everyone.
RE9 this weekend and some nice UK bbq weather for a change.
@KingPev Probably Redfall after the other two.
Pragmata! Loving the game so far. Planning on finishing it this weekend to be free for Diablo next week
I play but not my PS5. I spend my weekend trying to learn Gary Moore - Still Got The Blues on my electric guitar as I wait for tuesday next week: Saros and D4 Expansion.
Nice with a total gaming break from time to time.
Have a great weekend everyone!
Just mooching around Fort Joy, picking up every scrap of experience I can in the excellent Divinity Original Sin 2.
Still working my way through Pragmata. I think I'm closing in on the end of the game. It's been fantastic! It's raining here, so no outdoor work. Maybe I'll come up with something easy to do in the garage. Our push mower wouldn't start for my son this past week, so maybe I'll work on that.
Have a great weekend, everybody.
I spent the morning playing golf and watching my brother trying to play golf but now I'm home and once the mornings trauma has subsided i will be jumping on crimson desert and a spot of marathon later this evening. Have a great weekend folks 👍
So far, my vacation has been fantastic. I did what I set out to do—clean up my garage, and get a lot of yard work done. And play games, lots and lots of games.
First off, I beat Pragmata (Xbox Series X). What a sublime experience. It may outshine Resident Evil Requiem for me which I did not expect. Capcom does something that no other current developer does: make me want to replay a game immediately after I beat it.
So, what’s the hook for this new IP? The combat. It’s really innovative. It’s a third person shooter with hacking mechanics all in one package. I was skeptical about how this would work in a proper firefight, but you’re never overwhelmed with enemies. There is a perfect balance that could have easily dismantled its entire focus, but thankfully it doesn’t. The combat also evolves with time, adding depth to the gameplay. You’ll consistently unlock new weapons, hacking nodes that caters to your style of play, and other surprises along the way.
There are finishing executions when an enemy gets weak, but there is only one variation. It’s kind of disappointing because it looks so stylish. If there were more animations with different weapons then it wouldn’t be an issue. It just gets repetitive after a while.
Exploration is also satisfying. There are five biomes to explore, each of which is approximately three hours each, maybe a little longer depending on if you go off the beaten path. If you do you’ll find benefits — new weapons, modifications, abilities, items for your shelter that liven the place up, and a lot of well written lore.
Some places are inaccessible at first, but similarly to Metroidvanias, you’ll acquire new abilities that allow you to explore areas later down the line. Thankfully, there are many checkpoint areas, so you’re able to do a quick clean up on the things you’ve missed. It took me roughly 14 hours to beat the game and find all collectibles without a guide.
The story is endearing. From all of the trailers I thought your companion, Diana, would be cumbersome and annoying. For some people, they may find this to be accurate. If you can tolerate her you will find a relatively emotional connection with her growth as a character.
Some story elements don’t always land. Pragmata pays homage to Dead Space, particularly in its opening hours — you’ll see posters on walls to emphasize this even more— and by this I mean you will succumb to horrifying loss. As such, the main protagonist, Hugh, whilst he comments on incidents that happen throughout the game, it’s his delivery, or lack there of, that isn’t handled well. You don’t feel his pain and suffering so it’s hard to relate; instead the focus is more on the “father/daughter” dynamic which is really solid.
@Zeke68 respect as that is not an easy song to learn. I play bass guitar myself and I remember learning to play anasthesia pulling teeth by the late great cliff Burton...Good luck 👍
I finished Screamer last night (great game!), so I'm moving on to Pragmata today.
