How’s your tummy handling all of those turkey sandwiches? You may want to consider a long brisk walk this weekend to shed some of those holiday calories. If not, you can just join us for some good ol’ fashioned video games.

After beating Resident Evil 4, I'm now moving onto Resident Evil Village on the PSVR2. I started this one, but just never really picked it up again for one reason or another. So I'm starting from scratch in prep for Resident Evil Requiem in 2026.

With a whole pile of new games to dive into after a certain holiday a little bit ago, I've barely got any clue where to begin. Metal Gear Solid Delta? DOOM: The Dark Ages? Clair Obscur? I'm leaning towards a little bit of everything, I think!
Jamie O'Neill
My countdown on 2025 ends — and I'm especially pleased that I took part in every single Push Square WAYP this year — so to celebrate I'll play my personal favourite game of 2025, Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound. Cheers and wishing a "Happy New Year" to everyone at Push Square!
Robert Ramsey
Big holiday updates have got me dragging my weary bones to games like Diablo 4 and Monster Hunter Wilds this weekend, as I become a cog in the live service machine. To be fair, I'm also deeply immersed in an upcoming RPG... but I can't talk about that just yet!
Sammy Barker
I'm on a bit of a vacation at the moment, so I'll be keeping gaming limited to my smartphone. That means I'll probably be building my characters in Zenless Zone Zero, and I might give the mobile port of Where Winds Meet a go, too.
Stephen Tailby
I hope everyone had a great Christmas! Like last weekend, this one will probably be very casual, with regular standby games Lumines Arise and PowerWash Simulator 2 being the main things I play.
What are you playing this post-Christmas routine? Did Santa bring you any new games to try? As always, let us know what's keeping you busy in the comments section below.

I started Clair Obscur and after a pretty slow first hour, I'm absolutely loving it. Best action RPG in ages. I wasn't sure I was going to be that invested, but now I feel a bit of a dope for snoozing on it this long . The environments are fantastic and, honestly, that's the kind of combat Final Fantasy should be doing. Just goes to show (along with Lords of the Fallen) what a UE5 game can be.
Also playing a bit of The Talos Principle Reawakened (my Christmas game), SOMA (for the first time in 10 years), The Eternal Cylinder (where you evolve little creatures to be able to outrun and giant cylinder crushing their world) and Nobody Saves The World from the Guacamelee folks.
Have a great weekend Folks! Edit: I got the first post! It's a Christmas Miracle!
The same thing we do every weekend Pinky… try to conquer Resident Evil: Revelations Raid mode! 😡
Mario Kart World mostly. (Lost to my brother on Christmas Day, disaster).
And after watching the new Stranger Things episodes I'm seriously considering Microsoft Flight Simulator on PS5 for the Hawkins map.
Happy Christmas, all!
Still making my way through a 4th or maybe even 5th playthrough of one of my favourite games this generation - Hogwarts Legacy (my first full playthrough on Pro).
Happy post Xmas gaming binges to all!
Started Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 yesterday. I think i'll play this game until Hell Let Loose: Vietnam comes out.
A couple of rounds of Hell Let Loose.
Have a great weekend!
My current focus is playing Squeakross: Home Squeak Home on Steam Deck; it's essentially picross, but each puzzle unlocks a cute furniture piece to decorate your home for your cute little mouse :3
I might be nearing 200 puzzles completed now, apparently there's around 600ish total.
Still planning on getting back to my PS Portal once that's done, not sure what I'm playing next though.
Halls of Torment. My god, I have a serious problem...
Someone take survival roguelites away from me.
i’ll be holding up to make my way through hellblade 2 on pc, i may start outer worlds2 or go back to playing kcd2 on the 5pro or play something that’s short on the vita.
Assassin's Creed Shadows
Currently level 33 and am completing the Godai Shinobi missions in Omi.
American Truck Simulator
Delivered rough terrain forklifts to Kayenta, clamshell buckets to Holbrook, used packaging to Yuma, plows to Page, propane to Clifton, construction houses to Nogales, a tractor to San Diego, a harvester to Bakersfield, grain to Redding, a mobile barrier to Sacremento, and a bulldozer to Sierra Vista. Opened a new garage in Carson City. After 26 days my DF Logistics trucking empire has 8 trucks.
I'm finally getting around to Dispatch.
I'm wrapping the remaining content of the Valey of Memory DLC from Assassin's Creed Mirage, so I can return to the excelent Shadows. Also, more Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. Getting close to the end, but there is many things to do yet... I will beat some stages in Blood Omen 2 as well. If time allows it, the final touches in Yakuza 6 or more The Last of Us Part 1.
I wish a happy New Year for all our gaming conrads here!! Push Square has the best gaming forum I ever seen on internet. Here for many more years!!
Currently playing 'what games in the sale can I buy and unnecessarily add to my already massive backlog?'. If anyone has recommendations, let me know - there's £100 Christmas PS Store credit burning a hole in my virtual pocket.
Also, more ARC Raiders.
Received Metal Gear Solid snake eater and Metroid Prime 4 gifts for Xmas so will be playing those on the break
Going through Anonymous;Code, the latest entry in the Science-Adv series and the only (localized) one I haven't completed yet. On Chapter 6 and liking it quite a lot so far.
I might also start Wo Long this weekend, since it got added to Plus and I also bought the DLC on sale. Really wanted to get to it before Nioh 3 comes out.
Back on Cyberpunk 2077, this time Phantom Liberty. The game is just soooo good! Ray tracing is just too good. At this point I don't know which game's citizens have more style than this game. The graphics is just so beautiful. Simply the only the game competing with GTA right now. Then I'll continue Henry's journey in getting Capon out of a mess for the 1000th time in KCD2.
Bought two games from PS store Holiday sale and played a couple ones from my backlogs:
It's a nice mixed of classic RE and SH. They even 'copied', maybe not intentional?, the weird / cheesy voice acting lol. But i have some complaints: 1) The game looks pretty dark like i can't see sh*t even when the lighter on. 2) Why there's no shortcut to switch between lighter and guns but there's a shortcut to open a map? It's just annoying that you must open the menu every time to switch between lighter and guns. 3) I get it they want to replicate old school survival horror games. But some puzzles doesn't even give the slightest clue at all. Like that skeleton puzzle in the experiment room for example, i need to check a walkthrough to complete it because none of the diaries give some hints.
I think this is one of Psikyo best shmup.
I start a new game because i forgot where to go. Next time i'll write it on the notes.
Outside games, i just relax and watching Fallout season 2.
Have a nice weekend & holidays everyone 🍻
I can tell you 1 game that I definitely will not be playing anytime soon after an incredible year of dozens of high quality games my award season was completely reduced to one singular boring expression - except for PC Gamer which is worth a look - and that is ... I simply can't remember the name... was it chiaroscuro 69...
But I have been playing KCD 2 as I try to progress the story, even though I forget how to work the forge and I forgot how to fight like a lion. Well, I found my skills returning quickly and are done with the main story missions in an area and are thrust on to a new one. I have to assemble an A-team of Z-people, looking forward to that!
Even though I'm a hundred hours in, I still feel like a tourist in this world finding new places every way I turn.
I'm about halfway through Tales from the Borderlands I'll try and finish that today and then get back to Outer Worlds 2 and probably play a bit of Battlefield 6 later on.
Greetings, good people.
Unlike great many of you, I'm still into holiday shopping and preparations. You see, here in Russia we have the same thing: decorated tree, presents, sparkling wine, drunk uncle under the table, but it all happens on New Year's night. So... yeah, besides preparing for that and ice skating, I didn't had lots of gaming time. I finished platinum in Diablo IV (had to kill my friend five times for that), some levels in Captain Toad Treasure Tracker and that was pretty much it.
That's all for now, stay safe, love each other and have a nice weekend.
Merry greetings fellow video game enthusiasts. I got some new games for Chrimbomas so looking forward to getting to those once normal service resumes. Happy 2 days after Christmas everyone.
I will be continued playing fan favorite the wonderful code vein. I will also continued playing one of the best rpgs in the excellent south park stick of truth.i will also continued playing another fan favorite in the amazing wolfenstein the old blood.i will also continued playing one of the best video games ever in the incredible sniper elite 3 ultimate edition. And I will also be playing the smash hit the phenomenal shadow warrior 2 .I will also be watching my michigan wolverines 💛💙 .I will also be watching my boston celtics 💚 🖤. Play. And I will be watching my pittsburgh steelers 💛🖤 play.i will be watching legendary sitcoms TV 📺 comedy shows in family matters.good times.the Jeffersons.Sanford and son.the wayans brothers.martin.and saved by the bell.word up son
Hope everyone’s having a festive old time!
Been making my way through my first ever trip playthrough of Nioh recently and having an absolute blast with it. Awesome to know theres two more to play once I’m done!
I do want to treat myself to something new over the break though, I’m think either Ninja Gaidan 4, Black Myth Wukon or Metal Gear Delta, so hopefully jump into one of those as well. Have fun folks!
Apart from eating my complete and utter body weight in food, I’m replaying Dishonored and the excellent dlcs; for my yearly present to myself.
Got a PS5 Pro a few weeks ago, so I'm putting it to work.
To increase the "new console" experience, I'm using a 3rd playstation account that I've made a while back for the UK region (alongside 2 others, one for US and another for my country) but never used it for gaming - now I'm using it to (re)play some of the 1st party games on it to get the trophies again, like a fresh start.
Renewed the PS+ subscription on BF last month on the US account, using it to install the games, then playing them on the UK account. Finished with God of War 2018, now I'm in God Of War Ragnarok, Uncharted, The last of us, Ghost of Tsushima to follow.
Happy holidays everyone! Party plenty, game religiously, but consume everything consciously - nothing is ever good in excess!
Finished Red Dead Redemption 1 and Im now playing Red Dead Redemption 2 ( just started the 3rd chapter). To relax in between robbing and stealing, I've also started Fantasy Life i. In between I'm also doing the daily tasks in Umamasume. I've also played devil may cdy 5 but somehow after getting to Dante it's lost its steam for me. Currently thinking of starting Dishonored 2 but not so sure. I have a stupid habit of starting tons of games and then not finishing them. RDR 2 was a victim of that in years prior.
Got the alien load cell mod for my Moza peddles for Christmas, so am back onto sims. If only psvr2 was better supported it wouldn't now be plugged into steam for ACC and F1 25. That and the fact I went to Moza which won't work on PS5...
Family stuff, so just very briefly digging a hole in Hole Digging Master.
😭 Still Darkest dungeon 😭 I hate this game....I love it...I hate it...I love it.
2 of my Christmas presents. Metroid 4 and Terminator 2d. Loving both so far
Started Everspace 2 because I was a fan of Freelancer back in the day, enjoying it so far!
Out of town and two very sick kids so not much. Using my Portal though I’ve worked on Wuchang Fallen Feathers as I head toward the platinum and some Cosmic Invasion mixed in. I am working on Phantom Liberty and occasional Skate Story chapter as well; but several games in my cart are also calling my name in this latest PSN sale. So much to play!
Unfortunately nothing as my controller has started to act up. Sticks aren’t working and the buttons have a weird lag for some reason 😡.
I’ll try a reset and hopefully I can get back to more Hades and the Witcher 3 🤞
Have a great gaming weekend Pushsquarians 🍻
Elden ring Nightreign which was a surprise Christmas gift.
Ha, is it the weekend already? I'm deep in the Christmas time vortex and have lost track.
So this weekend I will be playing: -
Hard to believe 2025 is almost at an end. For anyone who cares, here are my top three of the games I've played for the first time this year. These games were all extremely close in my estimation, though they are all very different to each other (and yes, I've cheated a bit with a joint third place): -
Honourable mentions: -
Whatever you're playing this weekend, enjoy - here's to 2026 when it comes.
Mafia 3 with lots of praying to the trophy gods for a glitch free experience.
Hello again, y'all! This weekend I'm playing:
Switch:
Animal Crossing New Horizons: I'm halfway there to being able to afford the (currently) final house storage upgrade. Will also participate in the New Year's countdown just like the last two years.
PS4:
Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1+: got this game as a Christmas present two days ago, and have been playing it and loving it. Most of my party members are around Level 10 and I already have access to two of the cities: Planeptune and Lastation.
Hello there fellow gamers;
On this final weekend of 2025 I´ll be playing:
We had some amazing games this year in all platforms and 2026 is also looking to be absolutely golden.
Cheers everyone and happy gaming weekend to us all
After sacking Sonic Racing Crossworlds off after an hour (there's far too much RNG chaos for this to ever be enjoyable), I've been getting stuck into Death Stranding 2. Have pumped 14 hours into it so far this week (about 8 of them on my "me" day yesterday) and am absolutely loving it.
Debating something in the sale - both the new Shinobi and Ninja Gaiden Ragebound have my attention. As does Absolum. Will pick up one of them over the weekend for sure.
Made a start on Silent Hill 2. Done a few hours and just survived the first Pyramid Head encounter at the end of the Blue Creek apartments. Liking it so far even if it does creep me out a bit.
Might start The Invincible or Killing Floor 3 or both later on.
Have a good weekend and enjoy your gaming peoples.
I'm enjoying a second playthrough of baldurs gate 3... It's my Christmas and January game. It's just as good as ever.
Also started DK Bonanza which is proving to be a lot of fun. I hope everybody is enjoying the break!
NORCO
Tomb Raider 2
1944: The Loop Master
And maybe Sea of Thieves and Hi-Fi Rush
The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask on Nintendo Switch Online. Also finally started Once Upon a Katamari on Switch 2
Still slowly working through Powerwash Simulator too. And been thinking about starting Resident Evil Revelations and Star Wars Outlaws.
Warframe
I want to complete 100% of the trophies, only need 3 more
Tennis Elbow 4
Best tennis game on PS, now playing the Monte Carlo tournament
Red Dead Redemption
I started it this week.
Puzzle Bobble 2X & Puzzle Bobble 3 S-Tribute
The definitive version of these two classics
Cup Heroes
A new free game I'm trying out and like it.
some new VR2 games
Like Arken Age, Alien: Rogue Incursion, Hitman, The Midnight Walk...
After a great start to the weekend with last nights result (tough watching though) I will be continuing the festive gaming with Borderlands 4 (thanks bro) and some GT with VR2.
Enjoy the festivities fellow gamer's & Happy Holidays
Happy Christmas everybody..So I've been playing mostly Arc Raiders with my 2 regular raiding buddy's one of which is a f**king liability to put it nicely. Reading how most of you guys are saying how great a game ball pit is I took a punt and Jesus I have to stop playing these vampire survivor type games because I can't stop playing the bloody thing. Assassins Creed shadows is installed and ready to go so i will be diving into that this evening. Have a great weekend folks as always 👍
I got Astro Bot for Christmas so I’ve been playing that along with some COD BO7 MP. Astro Bot is just what I’ve needed lately as it’s largely laid back, easy and fun. A few of the minor / challenge levels can be a bit frustrating as I’m not particularly good at platforming but I always manage to get by them with a lot of practice. All in all it’s a great game. Happy gaming this weekend everyone!
@naruball glad you are enjoying it. Have you played ball pit yet? I have a similar problem you have in that I can't resist a great little rogue like..Ball pit is probably the best of them all to be honest and you've been warned 🤣
Cracking on with Diablo4 100% trophy run. It’s a big one! And more co-op with the daughter on the fantastic Lego Horizon adventures. I think it’s such a good little game and the first Lego game I’ve ever played and being centred around the Horiozn universe just makes it for me ❤️. Mrs is back at work today though so I’ve got the kids til she’s back then I’m gaming! 🤪
This past week, I started and finished Tormented Souls. Kicking myself for not playing it sooner. The second one is on the way. This was the kind of game I needed. RE9 can't come soon enough.
Right now, I'm playing Control on PS5. This is by far Remedy's best game.
I may punctuate it with whatever half-finished RPG tickles my fancy. The stack of those keeps growing. Romancing Saga 2, Trails into Reverie, Trails in the Sky FC, Metaphor ReFantazio, Octopath Traveler, Yakuza: Like a Dragon, Fire Emblem Three Houses, Xenoblade Chronicles.... one of those should stick for at least a few hours.
We'll round it out with some Monopoly on PS4 with my wife and son - I may even join them for a game or two of Fortnite, though they have to carry me any time I play with them.
Have an amazing last weekend of 2025, everybody.
@Northern_munkey Shadows is superb mate are you playing on PRO?
@MrPeanutbutterz the new shinobi is the best of the 3..I have ragebound but I prefer the shinobi game.
@GamingGod no I've not got my pro yet but it's still on my list along with the psvr2..
@Northern_munkey it’s stunning on PRO mate. Maybe start it on base and then get that PRO hooked up and you’ll see the difference… night and day 😆.
@Northern_munkey apparently I bought it at some point (perhaps a few days ago, but forgot about it). I'll give a try and make sure to blame you for all my missed deadlines and strained relationships with members of my family.
TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge and Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora . The Avatar game is really good. Story runs parallel to the first film. With mentions of Sully and his heroics.
After completing Granblue Fantasy:Relink on the portal. I was choosing over either to play Assassin Creed Mirage or Avatar Frontiers of Pandora. I thought I’d try out Mirage 1st & despite not being a fan of the older assassins creed games( I prefer the Assassins Creed games like Orgins, Odyssey, Valhalla & Shadows) I’m really enjoying Mirage.
@naruball thanks and I'll happily take the blame if you enjoy it as much as I am.
@GamingGod hopefully I will next month. Cheers for the recommendation.
This weekend has snuck up on me. I’ve yet to prepare throughout the week about what game(s) I’ve been playing. The tl;dr version is Divinity Original Sin 2. I’m in Act 2 now, and let me just state for the record - the opening hour left me devastated. I truly wasn’t expecting the implications of my choices to play such a pivotal role fairly early in the game, but I was wrong. But hey, I can talk to ghosts now, so that’s cool.
@Shinnok789
Congrats on the Pro! Can you see / feel any difference compared to the regular PS5?
I have the best LCD screen of 2024 and the pro, and I could swear that Days Gone Remastered is the most beautiful game I've ever seen because of that combination!
Sonic Racing Cross Worlds. Took a little while to get the hang of it after playing Mario Kart World. Also, now that I beat the Resident Evil 3 Remake I’m jumping on Silent Hill f.
I'm about 50 hours into Assassins Creed Shadows at the moment.
Resident Evil Village in VR

It's awesome.
I have two more Christmases this weekend to do, so probably not much of anything. I’m feeling ok with the amount of 2025 games I’ve beaten to compile my year end list now, so there’s that. And because of that, I’ve sort of drifted towards playing through comfort food in the form of NES games. Little Nemo, Little Samson, Bucky O’Hare, Whomp ‘Em, Wallstreet Kid, Princess Tomato, and Mitsune Ga Tooru are ideas for what I might finish next. Beat Adventure Island 2, Kung Fu, and Friday the 13th over Christmas Eve/Day. Wallstreet Kid might be my first choice since I failed at it miserably on Christmas Day.
@get2sammyb why can you never make a poll for these kind of posts unlike the ‘what are you playing?’ posts at Nintendo Life? They do it way better over there. That way you can easily see what the most played games are per week
@Northern_munkey it’s a good advert for the PRO along with GT7. GT7 is also a good advert for PSVR2 😂
I'm very slowly making my way through ghost of yotei, fantasy life i's dlc, and I'm replaying persona 5 strikers as well.
I’m going to give Fallout New Vegas another try on Steam Deck. I played it at launch but couldn’t really get into it, for obvious reasons I decided to try it again. I may also squeeze in a bit of Is This Seat Taken.
On console if I’m up and the family went to bed I’ll be playing Star Wars Outlaws. I dropped it at launch because it was pretty buggy, but I was enjoying it. I thought that would be a good one for Christmas break to see how the updates changed it.
Got Star Wars Outlaws as one of my crimbo games and now I am having a blast with Kay and Nyx, still early but so far, so good.
Also got AC Shadows and Cronos. Good times ahead.
(I'll also be doing more Monster Hunter Wilds)
@Odium I got the plat on SW Outlaws months ago, and the game run fine for me. Did 100% in base game and DLCs.
@GamingGod GT7 is the main reason I am getting the pro and the psvr2..everything else is just a bonus.
Not much playing time with the holidays but I’m rotating between Octopath 2, Stellar Blade and Indiana Jones. All three are excellent so far in their own ways and very different which is keeping things fresh
Playing Borderlands GOTY edition. Not sure if it still holds up. Also playing Sonic Crossworlds and that game absolutely kicked Mario Kart Worlds ass. I did all the time trials so that might have been the hardest thing to do in attempting to platinum the game.
If I have some time I'll continue playing Spiderman Remastered. Apart from that, few online matches in chess and watching WC in darts as well.
Enjoy holidays and have fun with games you are playing. And upfront wish you all Happy New Year
I’m getting started in KCD2. At first it was a bit rough being poor without 2 coins to rub together for bread, but it’s getting better now that I have learned how to earn money and skill up. I still haven’t found my dog. He’s out there somewhere!
@naruball Ohh I also sunk in abbys of Halls of Torment...
in free time I'm farming levels in Final Fantasy 1 to beat Chaos.
Games made by real people!
I’ve been back into my PS2 of late. I recently picked up MGS3 (which I never played back in the day) because I really liked Delta. Man, those controls in the original take some getting used to and the pressure sensitive buttons are frustrating as hell. Still enjoying it though.
i’m playing warframe, the borderlands 4 killer. 😂 cannot believe how far this game has come; i’m enjoying it
Just ended my gaming stop by starting Alan Wake Remastered (Control ultimate + AW2 after that). I have a love/hate relationship with it so far. I have lots of trouble surviving in normal difficulty, even though I finished games such as Bloodborne, Elden Ring and Returnal. There’s something about the shooting and ammo capacity that I can’t get my head around yet.
The atmosphere is amazing though!
@naruball
"Halls of Torment. My god, I have a serious problem...
Someone take survival roguelites away from me."
You are absolutely spot on with this pick. I got a pile of games for Christmas week from friends and family and Halls of Tomenet and... Absolum, are the clear winners for my attention right now. So these two are the pick of the weekend for me.
I figured it’s finally time to play divinity 2. I’ve started a few games on it but get overwhelmed but this time I’ll stick with it.
Starting up Assassin's Creed Shadows after finishing up Fallout New Vegas.
@EfYI It's become so so fashionable to bash on Clair Obscur hasn't it... great game, nonsense comment. Enjoy KCD2 though, I hear it's great!
@Marquez
I guess it flew past you that the name I chose instead is a time-honored technique in painting.
Check out "Narcissus at the Source" by Caravaggio and call it moronic one more time, I dare you.
Edit: Marqie chose to edit 'moronic' into 'nonsense'.
@EfYI We all know where you went with the comment, let's not hide behind layers of imagined nuance when you simply used the Italian version of the French game title you were disrespecting. I guess I'm just tired of the human habit of bashing anything that's successful, because it's successful - or more successful than whatever horse you had in the imaginary awards race.
And yes, I did edit my response because I didn't want to be impolite to someone who (normally) has some great things to say on these forums, your comments are ones I look forward to.
I don’t usually play much at Christmas, as it’s mostly family time, but I’ve made good inroads into Zelda Skyward Sword, a Switch / 2, a glass of Port and a fireplace can still be semi-social ftw.
Playing the original Octopath Traveler and a little RPG Maker adventure called Tales of the Black Forest.
@Northern_munkey GT7 and Vr is just next level gaming mate. And on pro there’s an extra in game option which basically makes the graphics 4k quality through the headset
PSVR 2 backlog, probably Max Mustard.
Playing Croc (the time trials are weirdly addictive) and I've tentatively started Divinity: Original Sin II. Not usually my kind of game but I'm going for it.
I completely forgot it's a Saturday
@Marquez
Fair counter point! I can only say that your opinion is always valued...
(I don't know if it is disrespect of the game, more like I was exasperated by the sheer volume of marketing for this game - but let's drop the mincing of words and get back to gaming)
I'm about half way through Signalis and it's pretty good, you can see what they were going for so I hope it finishes strong.
I also started Sonic x Shadow Generations which I knew I would love but it lives up to the hype and more - can't wait to play more of that!
Silent Hill 2 Remake
Plants vs. Zombies: Replanted (Switch) - I've just started on it by clearing the tutorial.
Angry Birds Classic (Windows Phone) - I've cleared Seasons and now it is time to finish off what I was stuck on here.
Angry Birds Space (Windows Phone) - With Seasons out of the way, I've been getting back into clearing levels here as well.
Having a fantastic time with Assassins Creed Mirage
I know the series has got a lot of hate but as a newbie to the series I am really enjoying it
Which others should I play next?
@old_gamer74 I love all the modern Assassin's Creed games and have platinumed Origins, Odyssey, Valhalla, Mirage and am currently working my way through Shadows.
I would suggest Origins as a next step. Odyssey and Valhalla are great but absolute time sinks with so much content.
@Duck_Farmer great mate. Queuing up Origins
While I have you - views on Black Flag as I love me pirates, ahh!!
@old_gamer74 I'm probably the wrong person to ask. Black Flag is one of the few AC games that I fell off and didn't complete but most seem to love it. I plan to give it another go when the remake comes out next year.
@Northern_munkey Hot sauce, think I'll pick up Shinobi so, cheers! 🍻
@Duck_Farmer well I was unaware of BF remake so you were the right person to ask! I will move that down the pecking order 👍 Cheers.
Arc Raiders and Achilles Survivor in between when I’m laying back.
@freddquadros great news, thanks!
Honestly? Nothing. I’ve binged Stranger Things from S1 to the beginning of S5. It’s my first time watching it and… I’m addicted.
I actually rewatched all of S4 so I watched it twice because holy ***** it was great. Still amazing on an immediate rewatch. It’s very, very rare for me to rewatch any show after/during a binge. So props to Stranger Things for drawing that out of me.
This month, I’ve put like ten to twelve hours into Yakuza 0 and eight to ten into Death Stranding 2. Other than that? It’s been all Stranger Things. And… no regrets.
Finished P3R DLC.
Just began Indivisible and I am wondering why I didn't try this game sooner?
The anime intro, the shonen story tropes, the music, the art... I am so in for this journey!
@DonkeyFantasy for £100 at the moment. Not overly bothered as I've changed to pc for racing. It's not better, but I can vr, which is.
@Zeroo I'll have to familiarise myself with how NL do it, but considering there are probably 50-100 different games mentioned across the article and comments, I'm really not sure how that would work very well.
Felt like something more old school so I’m currently playing I have no mouth, and I must Scream. Definitely worth the £5 I paid for it.
@Kiefer-Sutherland I recommend the book too if you haven't read it. A very creepy classic!
Late to the party but I've been playing more Octopath Traveler 0. I'm 40hrs in but it still feels like it's just beginning!
I don't know why but I've started playing Mass Effect Andromeda again. I'm making up for its dreadful writing and dialogue by playing the witty and intelligently written Disco Elysium alongside it.
I'm 10 hours into Disco Elysium. Just a fantastic game. For the first few hours I was walking around with only one shoe on, until I spotted it walking past the area it was in. I've been jumping in and out of a lit of games this year. I think for 2026 I'm just going to focus on 1 at a time.
Enjoy the rest of the holidays folks!
Just finished Dispatch for the first time. Telltale is back (as Ad Hoc). I did fairly poorly on the minigames and dispatching but I avoided strategy guides and now that I understand everything better through bitter experience I aim to rise above the bottom 1% of dispatchers 😅! Also I can think
of several different choices/potential alternate paths I’d like to explore.
1 - Nier: Automata
2 - Black Mesa
3 - Cocoon
@Northern_munkey Shinobi has been bought and installed! As has The Crew Motorfest for some brain-dead arcade racing.
I might boot them up, but there's so many packages to deliver 😂
@MrPeanutbutterz motorfest is really good fun but I much prefer forza horizon 5.
Been playing Alan Wake 2 which is a bit of a mixed bag. The story is brilliant, easily 10/10 and really keeps you invested but the combat is stil a very basic and sluggish 4/10 with no real improvement from the original game. Im enjoying it overall, and would certainly recommend it, but its one of those games you stick on story as the action gameplay is not the focus at all.
Finally got around to playing Ghost of Tsushima on my laptop. I've completed the main story and now I'm doing the dlc. It's such an amazing game I bought the Ghost of Yotei PS5 bundle so I don't have to wait to play the sequel.
Whats everybody's opinion on the PS5 version of Rise of the Ronin? I know the launch of the PC port was pretty rough. I hope the original version is better.
@old_gamer74 Black Flag is great!! It's still the best pirate themed game ever by far, and my favorite game in the AC franchise. Heck, it might be my most favorite Ubisoft game. The remake that should be out in 2026 (rumor is perhaps as soon as March) I think will be even better because it supposedly removes the present day content in favor of more pirate action.
@NavalHistorian nice mate. 100% BF is on the list. But will wait for the remake verdict end of March to decide whether to tackle original or the new version
