We're deep into not-E3 week right now, so there's more gaming news than usual floating around. But when you're not reading about upcoming games, hopefully you're playing some upcoming ones. Here's what we're playing.
Jamie O'Neill
WB Games Montréal's 2022 Gotham Knights is still my current game of choice. I like playing as Red Hood, plus I'm rereading Scott Snyder's Batman Volume 1: The Court of Owls to accompany its story.

I'll wrap up all the collectibles I have left for the Platinum Trophy in 007 First Light, and then I want to do the exact same in LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight. I'm on cleanup duty rather than starting anything new!
Sammy Barker
I've wrapped up 007 First Light, which I absolutely loved, but I'll probably play a bit more for the Platinum. I'm also eager to dig into NTE's new update, as I haven't had a chance to explore it properly yet.
Stephen Tailby
I really want to push forward with Mina the Hollower, but frankly it's just not clicked for me yet. I'll keep going and try to make some decent headway, but it's been a rough start for me.
Sorry for the short but sweet WAYP this week, it has been busy these past few days. Thanks for joining us, and be sure to let us know what you're playing below.

007 First Light - I've earned my number, and my platinum. And its been awesome to do so. Really enjoyed this game, it was so much fun to play. The developer mixed the slow parts with the action, witty humour with serious and emotional moments and everything in between in a really good way!
This will be a game I'll return to every now and then, and I'm also really looking forward to more Bond in the future.
And as so often after finishing a great game, I'm having some trouble starting or even deciding on the next game to play. Hoping for some inspiration from you all 🙂
Have a great weekend!
I'm playing FF14. I'm not an MMO person but I do love Final Fantasy and RPGs and so far I'm really loving this game. Been playing a week and although it's a slow start it's got me hooked. You can ignore other players and play solo if you wish. I go to work and think about this game all day. I think I may be playing this for a while as the free trial is absolutely massive so its cost me nothing.
Besides doing my daily stuff on NTE (Just unlocked Lacrimosa 😍), I now playing the recently released PS5 version of Starbites. Is an old school turn based JRPG that reminds me of Grandia 3. Highly recommended to jrpg fans.
Been really liking Grounded (solo Campaign). With most survival games I usually start but never finish apart from Green Hell and The Forest but this really is fun.
Continuing my Insanity run on RE9 still (just got to Raccoon City).
Going for a Thai curry with some mates tonight so should be a good night 👌
Have a great gaming weekend Pushsquarians! 🍻
FF VII Rebirth. Hit chapter 3. Might bounce off this one.
I think I’m done with Hades II. I didn’t get the platinum but I’m a bit burnt out. I was gonna start Nine Sols but found myself playing Elden Ring yet again…
Tides of Tomorrow is on pause.
Deleted Star Wars Outlaws because it didn't click.
Started a second character in Ghost Recon Breakpoint. Put it on immersive gameplay and it's a much better game then the lootershooter it was on release.
Started Grounded yesterday with my sons. Had a good laugh with it as my oldest was constantly attacking ants.
A couple of matches fc26. Also with my sons and they kick my ass in this game.
Have a great weekend!
I started to play Firmament on Psvr2. I got already quite a bit into the game. People complain a lot about the low resolution. I thought that it still looked better than a large fraction of the psvr2 games, has interesting environments and puzzles, generally a good atmosphere (sound, music) and an interesting enough story. The implementations of the VR interactions are not really a strong point, but it is a really good point and click style adventure, I would say. On sale I certainly would recommend it, but the regular price is maybe a bit on the high side. Since a lot of people complain about the resolution, I guess, for people for whom a high resolution is everything this is presumably something to rather skip. But, I personally really enjoyed my time with it so far.
Nothing unfortunately just like last 1.5 month. This damn thesis just keeping me busy mentally. Hope summer will be different.
Watching DMC season 2 makes me want to play DMC HD collection. So yeah, this weekend i think i will play that and just relax as well do some cleaning with my house.
Hope you all have a nice weekend. Cheers 🍻
Tales of Xillia Remastered: I'm enjoying the characterizations of Milla and Jude, and the combat is different but rewards practice. It's not quite on the same level as Arise, but it was worth another dip into the Tales series.
Happy weekend everyone!
007 First Light ...definitely GOTY contender. Love how it totally nails the Bond film vibes, capturing Bonds ethos perfectly. Not done any Tac Sims yet but looking forward to them.
Hoping to finish Jedi Survivor ...really enjoying it but suffers from the typical open world filler guff and the same problems as the 1st game. Very good game but ill never replay it.
Ive had a busy, stressful working week and relaxing with Season 2 of Marathon - playing Dire Marsh at night is terrifying - you actually feel like its night time and not just "in the dark". Im hoping this game survives and thrives, its the freshest, most original shooter in years. I really dont understand the hatred it gets ( from people who've never played it )
Have a great weekend guys and gals ❤️
Ghost Of Yotei and NTE. Damn Yotei is so good should have bagged it sooner but the state of play gave a nice drop in price.
Savings meant a nice score of Grigio too; result. Cheers!
I've started playing Baldur's Gate 3 again as a drow bard so I can bend goblins and gnomes to my will. I've also started a new run of what I consider to be the greatest Final Fantasy game of all time, FFXII.
Marathon with some Doom eternal on the side
I finished my first playthrough of 007 First Light and feel like I want to go again straight away, for the platinum. However, my backlog is winking at me... including the unfinished Saros, Cairn and AC Shadows. The new Stellar Blade trailer last night also has me eyeing up the first one...
I'm really worried it will be a morning of scrolling through the backlog and getting nothing played, in a similar position to you @mac_da_man
Have a great weekend folks!
EDIT: FFS, opened Balatro...
@ApostateMage I HATED 12 when it came out, couldn't get over how different gameplay was from all the previous games. Replayed it a few years later and I was like....this game slaps why did I hate it so much. I was 16 when it came out so maybe i just had to grow up a bit
On topic though, probably about time to replay Rebirth me thinks
Finishing off my 1st runthrough of 007 First Light, then will probably start my second playthrough.
Definitely a GOTY contender, and a fantastic Bond game, just marginally behind RE Requiem.
@Shepherd_Tallon I bounced off Rebirth but that trailer definitely has me thinking about going back. It just felt like such a grind first time around.
I'll be continuing with Rise of the Ronin on PS5 which is taking me a while. It's not terrible but the elements just don't mesh brilliantly which makes it a bit of a slog at times.
On PC I will be doing a bit more Diablo 4 to see if I can get closer to finishing the season journey. Is good but feels like they have over tuned the seasonall quests for the final two tiers as they require hours of grinding.
@Rich33 I'll never play Requiem as I can't play anything with jump scares (I know, I'm a grown man), but this and 007 definitely look like the early contenders. I'd love to see Patrick Gibson pick up a few awards for his performance at least.
Recently, I've been playing Star Wars: Outlaws and I quite like it.
Also, some Astrobot (prepackaged with the console) with my daughter.
I let my Premium run out, but then it was discounted for the price of what amounts to a game's deluxe edition. So, that's another 12 months for me of constant showering of gifts. Maybe I can come back to all my owned games at some point, and even buy some of the awesome games out like 007, but right now I will take it easy and finish Outlaws.
@Marquez The mini quests were absolutely a grind. It got to the point for me where instead of looking forward to seeing the next town, I was dreading it because I knew there'd be a piano mini game.
007: First Light
A very good game. Tonally it just gets it right, and, in-spite of its super modern setting, it still manages to feel like a classic. Even Lenny Kravitz can't mess it up!
Just bought 007 downloaded and my PS5 stopped connecting to any of my controllers usually a reset fixes it but not this time. So now to decide if i want to get ripped off buying a new one or try and get it fixed.
@Marquez
(I will try again as I hit reply too early by accident)
I have been very impressed with most of the voice acting in 007 FL.
I can't remember all their names, but as well as Bond, I have been particularly impressed with M, Q, Greenway, Webb snr, Webb jnr, and Moneypenny (in that order). And that is not to say others are bad.
Some very high quality work indeed.
Continuing my play through of Batman which I am enjoying but I can't wait to get the plat and get onto 007 probably not this weekend though but we'll see.
Happy gaming folks
By day I play Elden Ring as a blindfolded monk, shouting at enemies to git gud as I carve through them with my twinblade.
By night I continue my football season on FC 26, coasting through matches on semi-pro difficulty like a filthy casual.
I'm living a double life
i’ll be chugging along in psychonauts 2, may start ghost of yotei. probably just end up watching youtube.
I started playing Monster Hunter Rise + Sunbreak with a friend. I’m also playing through Forza Horizon 6. Also still chipping away at Dynasty Warriors Origins and Vampire Survivors
@Rich33 Overall it's a great cast, agree. Lennie James as Greenway might be the best alongside 007 himself.
Started Mass Effect 3 yesterday, so probably a bit more of that. Having originally played (& loved) 1 & 2]/em] on 360… my 360 RROD’d by the time [em]3 released and although I bought it on PS3, I never played more than a few hours for some reason. Well I’ll finally get to see how it all plays out… for better, or worse. I’m enjoying it so far though, more than I enjoyed playing the remasters of the first two too.
Currently playing a game called Cubic Odyssey which is kinda like if Minecraft and No Man’s Sky had a baby. I’m finding it really addictive though.
I’ll also be playing Old Market Simulator later tonight in co-op and Outlast Trials tomorrow night.
Can't stop playing Marathon , it's just had its first wipe and a new night level which is fantastic, problem is my 2 lads are playing non stop Astrobot so I can't get on much 😂
Marathon head and shoulders my GOTY for 2026.
Feeling three hundred pounds of pressure while trying to keep my feet in motion (when you know you know) The announcement at State of Play was just the nudge I needed to finally finish both games, I'd love for them to land on Plus+ so everyone can relive them.
Just like Tokyo Xtreme Racer I'd forgotten that Stuntman had DVD extras like the making of and an interview with Vic Armstrong the stunt coordinator for many mainstream movies like James Bond and Indiana Jones, I don't know if he's involved in the new game but it's doubtful. The Youtube channel called Zippyduda uploaded all of the DVD extras if anyone is curious. It's such a unique series, I'd been hoping for a remaster or a remake but never expected it to happen. Fingers crossed for Driver.
Other than that I'm getting some more work done on my most recent Rimworld colony. It's been an interesting playthrough so far and I'm really liking how my new mountain base is coming along. I just have to work on the always inside debuff and then they'll all be happy and more productive. Mountains naturally provide strong defenses, I haven't used them much before now.
Years later and the game still manages to surprise me with unexpected developments. It must have been all of that time working together, producing completely harmless candy. I'm not sure what the odds were but those two hooked-up out of fifty other colonists. I imagine a marriage proposal will be next. Followed by Kim throwing a tantrum and either breaking something important or trying to unalive Jessie. Either way it will end in tears, violence or both, such is the game. That's about it, happy gaming weekend Folks.
@KingPev agree 100% , in recent years people choose to hate on a particular game . Think the first i remember this happening to was Drive Club .
@Marquez
I knew I was missing someone! (Will edit). Yes, I liked Greenway too.
The voice acting has certainly complimented the games story and scripting, which have also been excellent.
Marathon Season 2 which has made a lot of great improvements to an already great game, and Assassin's Creed Mirage.
I will be playing one of the best fps shooter ever in the incredible wolfenstein the new order and I will be playing fan favorite the excellent sniper elite 4 deluxe edition. I will watch final destination bloodlines which I enjoy.i will be watching legendary sitcoms TV 📺 comedy shows in family matters.good times.the Jeffersons.sanford and son.different strokes.martin.the wayans brothers. Married with children and saved by the bell.word up son
Finished Satisfactory after 120 hours. Just one final trophy so may work towards that to nicely wrap it up, such a fun game to just ‘be’ in. I ended up dreaming about it last night, it has its claws in me that much!
Otherwise it’s family time, F1 and UFC, and I may start reading Dungeon Crawler Carl as I just finished the Farseer Trilogy and are inbetween books now!
I'll be hitting marathon off and on and maybe a spot of PoE2. If it's not raining tomorrow morning I'll be out for a round of golf and get back to watch the Monaco gp. @Sanquine gimme a shout when you go on marathon buddy. Have a great weekend folks 👍
NTE and Destiny 2 though I don’t really know I play either.
Just bought 007 First Light so I'll be on that once it's installed and updated.
Just finished the amazing Lego Batman Legacy of the Darknight. Genuinely surprised just how fun I found it
@Onearmbandit You might like Raft if you like Grounded. It's a lot more forgiving than games like The Long Dark, Stranded Deep and the ones you mentioned. Abitioc Factor too, which I think I mentioned before, easily one of the best survival games I've played. It's really balanced and most of the jank has been ironed out.
@FinneasGH Congrats, now you get to play through it again with the new update that just launched. They added randomized nodes, higher requirements for the space elevator, trucks that can carry liquids, improved vehicle pathing, and more. I'll probably start fresh for the randomized nodes, I know the map too well all the way back from early access.
