Where to Pre-Order GTA 6 on PS5

Hey everyone, I'm going to try and keep this page as comprehensive as possible, covering as many countries/regions as I can.

Pre-ordering a code in a box, or digital game they can't possibly run out of stock of, 6 months before the games release, if it doesn't get delayed again, is a choice. A choice between $80 and $100. 🤑

As was this comment, but at least it didn't cost me anything, and I know my comment won't be delayed.😂

Is there no collectors edition with physical tat? I still have my GTA IV lockbox.

Definitely going with the standard edition, really don’t care about some skins you could get variations from while playing, but it sucks that there’s no disc at all, only an empty box with a code and also no edition whatsoever with a map or collectibles.

I, for one, cannot wait to put my empty box of plastic up on my shelf. My $80 digital code paper may one day be valuable and worth at least $0.20 on eBay!

Waiting to see if there a collectors edition and if it includes the game

@Vorflynn there's not even a disc in the physical editions box, so unfortunately no... It looks like this time RockStar are going all in on maximising their profits through purely digital

The only saving grace for the physical version being a code in a box (for me anyway) is that I can now get away with buying one physical copy (cheaper than RRP) and game share it with my Mrs.

That is unless she wants the Ultimate Edition content of course! 😂 (I've shown her what's listed here and she's already thinking it over 🤔😂)

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying I'm remotely happy with not having a disc in the box. But if that's the way they're gonna play it, I'll go for the cheapest option available for us so we can both play, and especially for co op when Online arrives.

I just have to say this somewhere, this game makes me feel like I'm taking crazy pills.

The hype for it is beyond insane. I mean, I plan to get it, and by all accounts I fully expect it to be at least good, and probably great. But it could end up being the general consensus GOTY, it could end up being an all-time classic and it still wouldn't warrant the hype and expectation of this thing.

It's just another game, you complete it in, I don't know, let's say 30 hours, maybe 60 hours for a completionist... And then it's on to the next, no matter how great it is (I get that there are those who are going to RP their second life in GTA online, but I'm pretty sure they're also already doing that so).

It's not being treated like a long anticipated, awesome video game, it's being treated like pinnacle of all media to ever to exist. I'm not even trying to poo poo people's excitement. But there's excitement and hype and then there is what GTA6 is attracting. It's madness. Apologies for the rant lol.

@Fiendish-Beaver Nope, nothing announced from Rockstar. It's just a standard edition and a digital Ultimate Edition.

Gona preorder it straight from USA account so I pay about 70 euros instead of 90 euros they will make European region to pay.

@J0HN_L0CKE Hi John, I think the reason it is being hyped like this is because millions of people still play GTA 5 now in 2026. The campaign isn't the point. GTA 6 online will probably launch by the end of the year and a huge number of people will play that ( and only that ), for the next 10-15 years.

Your analysis of people playing this for 30 hours is just for people like you and I that look at gaming websites... the vast majority of players are the same sort of people that play Fifa or call of Duty. The play station is the GTA and Netflix box... They don't know what Final fantasy or Resident evil are.... I worked for a large company for 10 years and most of the lads there were like this. Fortnite or GTA every night after the football.

Yet, no one at Push Square is writing about Rockstar faces legal setback as UK tribunal allows its fired workers to bring every one of their union busting allegations to trial. oh, i know... The pre-order and news drops is Rockstar's way of distracting everyone... guess it is working by the comments and stories of everything else but this

Unfortunately, they don't have to try too hard. Just hope the people who are actuly building these excellent games get the protection and pay they very justly deserve.

I’m genuinely surprised there isn’t a CE at launch. They could have made the CE the most expensive CE in gaming history and it still would have sold out. The AC:BF CE sold out everywhere within minutes, and whenever it’s been restocked immediately sells out. A GTA VI CE would have sold even faster.

The #1 thing I hope gets released/leaked between now and November is the download size. I need to know how many games I need to finish and delete from my hard drive.

@Netret0120 IMO GTA VI will easily become the most preordered game in history.

The only reason I don’t think it will be profitable from the preorders alone like Cyberpunk was (before everybody started demanding refunds) is the game reportedly cost R* around $1 billion. I wouldn’t be surprised if R* recouped 1/4 or maybe even 1/2 of that investment between preorders and launch day purchases though.

No disk so no one can resell the game, sell the game for $100 and put TWO F*** DISC in it.

Everyone complaining about gta6 not having a disc it probably went over the number it can hold on a disc they did not want to pull ff7 put the game on two disc if u don't buy it so be it we alright know most sells will be digital

Normal price for a game and a deluxe edition, normally more. Im sure fc26 launches at 69.99

Currently can get vouchers for the ultimate edition on shopto for £79.70.

I'm not one to pre-order anything, but may make an exception in this case as November is usually a tight month.

I always find it funny that the whole of Europe is ignored in these posts. 2nd market on the planet, probably the biggest chunk of the Pushsquare user base, yet so so far away from the UK.

Rockstar are just flexing at this point. they're intentionally giving us scraps just to prove we will give them our money anyway. i wish gamers were better than this

Rockstar not having physical media (discs) for sale and only a piece of paper with the code is stupid and greedy. Given that I don't understand why you people would fork over $80-$100 to reserve a digital edition giving Rockstar millions in free money to earn interest on for 6 months? Yes having early access (Nov 12th) to download is important for hardcore gamers but really? 6 months for them to get millions in free money? Hard pass

Are hairstyle changes locked behind a paywall? Or are they just certain hairstyles? Seems like the ultimate edition is mostly cosmetics, but the mod shops and salon have me a little concerned about not getting the “full game” without paying more.

#1 Who needs a gameplay trailer for GTA? We know what the gameplay will be like. The reason for a new GTA is a new story, a new city, new vibe, new graphics and levels of open worldness. The cinematic trailers provide plenty of that.
#2 Oh no, code in a box! As if this hasn't been the industry trend for the past decade. I went hard on physical cartridge games for the Switch but if you limit yourself only to those you are missing out on 90% of the library. None of my PC games since 2010 are physical and my PS5 pro (bought specifically in anticipation for this) doesn't have a drive anyway. But no it's Rockstar going a bridge too far!
#3 Anyone saying that GTA6 will be obsolete since games move so fast these days is really smoking something. The pace of the games industry has never been slower. The most popular games of today are all 10-15 years old. Imagine if GTA4 had to compete with SNES games! It has been a long long time since anything next-level came out; nobody else in the industry seems to be pushing the envelope so I am holding out hope that Rockstar's long boil will give us another generation defining experience. Even if it's "just" as good as GTA5, everyone else is too busy remastering their old stuff or doing Ubisoft-style checklist open worlds; nobody does it like GTA.
Maybe I'm just part of the problem. But I'm a gaming enthusiast with a long memory of this franchise consistently knocking my socks off, and with a comfortable enough income that when a once-in-a-decade moment arises I can take the plunge and enjoy being part of the hype.

Ok, so many preorder articles but why you should do that anyway? Even if you do it close to launch you will be paying the same price. Just for some cosmetics? I dont get it. It is a big game but there are others too and if you buy now or after launch, you will pay the same and get the same....( and as usual if you are late you will pay the same but you will get it in a better state)

Well I don't care about the game but even then the prices, the code in the box, easy cosmetics, they take the easy option or the Fortnite/others option of easy cosmetics with a code in the box but instead a price tag then free to play.

it's just sad. No amount of physical to cater to a company would have changed anything either. The new standards will come in. Welp time to go further retro, or tolerate 'good enough' Indies if they have good enough ideas and not garbage too. AAA we can cater to, message or whatever and they will still do whatever they want.

Can anyone provide a legit benefit of a pre-order? The only two that come to mind are:

1. Special skins: It's not for me. But I understand why people enjoy the "dress-up-my-doll" mechanic.
2. Play the game X amount of days before the release.

This is probably why I never pre-order (unless #2 is a factor)

I don't recall any conversation about using Russian fighter Jets to back up games so it probably wasn't that. (There were a lot of MIGs in the news in 80s.)

My heatwave doesn't get here until Thursday. It's supposed to be about 100' F (about 38' C which sounds a whole lot friendlier) for 3 days. It may not kill me but I don't think it's going to make me stronger either.😩

I bought my kid Ghost of Totei yesterday. We're going to hide out in my basement for 3 days, where it stays mid 70's F (32' C), and watch them play it.

I know metric and celsius is supposed to be a better system but I don't see how going from low 30s to high 30s can possibly represent what it needs to represent. 75 to 100 goes from perfect to deadly, or a C to an A grade. 32-37 is the same to me.🤷‍♂️

Still kinda half and half here. Though i had a thyroidectomy, so my temperature regulation is abhorrent. The living room was like 35 C last week. Much more tolerable (but humid) 25 now.

Not that onto GoY... i watched my friend playthrough it and looks good - indeed I enjoyed it. We do streams for each other so we dont need to play the game unless we really want to. Kind of a way of saving money 🤣

Tangents completely fine - I don't get your guys measurements but thats because we weren't really taught the alternative (though cm is very handy with measuring), and you'd think like (again) 25 and 35 would be negligible; but theres a whole difference that doesnt seem a lot, but you can blooming well feel it!

I've been tested for dementia but I passed b/c I learned farm animal names in school and that's where all the points are, 1 per animal I kid you not, but anything the past few years is like a dream I know I've had but can't quite recall. Metric measurement - CM, mili, meter - makes way more sense than inches, feet, yards and miles, but the temps I like in farhenheit b/c there's more of them so I can measure by base 10.
