Have you put your Xmas decorations up yet? Now we're in December, you have our permission. Go get it done and play some games.
Aaron Bayne
It's a mixture of things for me this weekend. I'm playing a bit of Elden Ring Nightreign with my mates, I'll be checking out the Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora third-person mode, I'm trying to finish Thief VR: Legacy of Shadow, and I'm keen to play some of the Destiny 2: Renegades. How many of those will I actually play? Probably one if I'm lucky.

I really enjoyed Street Racer's alternative take on a Mode 7 SNES racer back in 1994, so with four weekends left in the year, I want to check out the November 2025 PS4 and PS5 release of the Street Racer Collection.
Stephen Tailby
I'll be playing what I think is probably my last review game of 2025. Beyond that, I might chill out with some PowerWash Simulator 2.
That's what we're playing in this fine December week, but what about you? As always, let us know in the comments section below.

While waiting for my Castlevania Dominus Collection (Switch) to arrive next week I will be playing Project Warlock as it is really fun DooM style retro shooter with progression elements
On the side I will start The Last of Us Part I and play few skirmish matches in StarCraft 64.
Have a fun weekend!
Hades (one more time…) this weekend as not going to have a lot of gaming time in amongst Work, Football, beer and a very hot curry.
Im addicted to Hades though, the gameplay loop, music and the writing all hits the spot. I know I should try and play the big single player games in my back log but this game has its hooks well and truly stuck in me.
Have a great gaming weekend Pushsquarians! 🍻
On Playstation:
F1 23
Finished the season with a win in Abu Dhabi for McLaren. Won both the drivers' and constructors' championships for the second year in a row.
On other platforms:
American Truck Simulator
Delivered grain to El Centro, soybeans to San Diego, utility poles to Ely, construction houses to Carson City, clamshell buckets to Sacramento, scaffolding to Redding, and roof shingles to Eureka. After 9 days my DF Logistics trucking empire has 4 trucks.
Ball x Pit
Rolled credits. Great game. A-Tier.
Dredge
Did the initial tutorial missions and paid off my loan for the boat. Now doing missions around Greater Marrow.
The Legend of Zelda
Completed the eighth dungeon and got the last piece of the Triforce. Currently at 16 hearts and ready for the final confrontation.
Having finished with Creaks, which is an excellent game with little hints of Abe's Oddyssee and Braid in the puzzle design, this weekend I will be continuing in a 2D platformer vein by playing Puppeteer. It's a game I often return to close to Christmas, as there's something just so Christmassy about it - it's pretty much the videogame equivalent of a pantomime (oh no it isn't!... sorry). It's also so brim full of inventiveness, charm, and little things to discover that it has a ton of replayability . An indie soul placed in an AAA quality production.
Have a great weekend folks.
I’ve fallen back into Disney dreamlight once again, I haven’t touched it in over a year and now I’m obsessed again. I’ve made it my mission to track down some of the newer companions, and bribe them to be my friends. 😂 - just like irl.
A fair bit of co-op this weekend. Finishing off the Tiny Tina dlc for Borderlands 2 today and then some raid mode on Resident Evil: Revelations tomorrow. After quite a few hours (and months in regards to the latter 😅) on both, it looks like we’re creeping up on the finishing line of both.
I then have next week off and am gonna try and fit Psychonauts and Risk of Rain 2 in for 50 plats for the year.
Between the Marvel Tokon beta, the new Gran Turismo content, ramping up into the final week of the first ARC Raiders season and trying to make progress in Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden... yep, definitely enough to take my mind off another impending Ashes failure. Happy gaming everyone! Except any Aussies, obviously
Finished the story of Clair Obscur ...now onto the end game bosses and The Endless Tower on the way to lvl 99 ( way off !) Without doubt GOTY 2025. Genius.
More Battlefield 6 which i think im genuinely clinically addicted to ! So many fantastic modes in multiplayer.
Having to wait to play Metroid Prime 4 Beyond until Christmas now as the wife stopped me buying it - hint taken lol. Divorce proceedings now underway 😅
Have a great weekend guys and gals ❤️
Bought Echoes of the end.
Liked the look of it for ages and been tempted and as it was on a decent discount I bought it and loving it so far.
Will also carry on playing Bendy and the dark revival with my son
@Onearmbandit Coincidentally I bought this at launch and played it for a bit but never escaped. Tried it again a few months ago and became absolutely hooked, great game!
Marvel tokon fighting souls beta ^^
The absolutely wonderful Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
@Onearmbandit I had the same experience. I just couldn't put it down. I don't get how they managed to make it work. I usually get bored after playing the same game over and over again.
@BrownOwl Forspoken? Sweet! Feel free to let us know what you think so far, if you feel like it.
Greetings fellow video game enthusiasts. I’m playing Coffee Talk. I don’t usually play this kind of game but it’s quite nice to play something relaxing pre-Shinobi, which is the other game I’m currently playing. I wish you all a pleasant and festive weekend.
Doing errands for a grave robber, a fraud and an alcoholic.
Rdr!
Have a great weekend!
Metal Gear Solid snake eater and Ghost of Yotei on the Pro. On Game Pass plan to check out Routine, Marvel Cosmic Invasion and Lost Records
Pacific drive tomorrow evening I'm away doing an early Christmas with my GFs siblings
My full focus right now is Ball x Pit on my Portal. Unlocked the 7th area last night, just need to wrap up clearing the 6th area with the characters I've unlocked first (one more character left to unlock). Might also need to play more Fast runs, since I've only done like a couple of those.
Have a happy gaming weekend y'all!
Hotwheels with my kids bro I have commitments 😭
Playing The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask for the first time ever on my *Switch
@Duck_Farmer (#3) my guy out there living the life!
@Czar_Khastik I summon thee! ❤️
Greetings, good people.
This week I identify as a game boy. No, really, it only took eight years for Nintendo to add control mapping to game boy games on Switch so they are finally playable for me. So I've completed two Mario Land games. And while the first one is simple little game only good as a piece of history, the second one is actually great! Level design is superb and the variety of stages, enemies and bosses is off the charts. I've really enjoyed that game more than any so-called "new" Mario Bros.
I also started Metroid Prime... Hunters. No, really, I already bought Prime 4, but decided to finish the only Metroid game I didn't finish before starting it. I tried it on DS when it came out and found it awful. Now thanks to melonprime it's playable at least. Doubt I'll get much enjoyment out of it, but I need to close gestalt.
That's all for now, wish you a great weekend.
Having a lot of fun with NEON WHITE. Another game I am terrible at but it is heaps of fun and the use of Dual Sense for the difference guns is VERY satisfying 😎
Playing:
Free multiplayer weekend without PS+. So i boot up this game again and it still really fun despite i didn't played Ranked Match for 4 months. I'm quite rusty though dropping bnb combo and my matchup knowledge against C.Viper is zero lol. But i managed to won against her + multiple matches and earned 1544 MR. I'm curious if i can reach High Master rank with my boy Ed at the end of this week 😁
That Mark Cerny article made me boot up this game again and continue my playthrough. Right now i'm on Disc 2 or at Fueno, just rejoined with the rest of the gang. The pre-rendered background still looks beautiful to look at. It's sad how nowadays pre-rendered background feels like lost art...
Have a great weekend everyone 🍻
Was looking forward to trying out Lonely Mountain Snow Riders but release got pushed back into next week (critical bug or something) so playing some Old School Rally and Blood - Refreshed Supply 😉👍
Well I’m near the platinum still in Cronos so I’ll wrap that up.
Then more Arc Raiders and some more Where Winds Meet. I also really have enjoyed the PS5 port/remaster of System Shock this week. I’m terrible at it but loving it.
Lastly, I will probably play Ender Magnolia as I abandoned it and need to get back to it.
Happy gaming weekend all!
I will continued playing fan favorite the excellent tomb raider definitive edition. I will also continued playing one of the best video games ever made in the amazing dark souls 3 the fire fade edition.i will also continued playing the instant classic the incredible ghost of tsushima director cut.i will also be playing continued one of the best video games ever made in the phenomenal fallout 4 game of the year edition.and I will continued playing one of the best video games ever made in the wonderful resident evil 2 remake.i will be watching my michigan wolverines basketball 💛💙 play.i will also be watching my boston celtics 💚🖤 play.and I will also watch my pittsburgh steelers 💛🖤 play.i will be watching legendary sitcoms TV 📺 comedy shows in family matters.good times.the Jeffersons.sanford and son.different strokes.martin.the wayans brothers and saved by the bell.word up son
I will have a extended weekend, with a municipal holiday, so I will play a lot more games than usual. I reached the Nibelhein region in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, so to keep exploring it. I will hunt more targets in Assassin's Creed Shadows. I got the hang of the game, now I'm feeling more efficient in clearing the huge amount of content.
In preparation for Death Stranding 2, I am playing Death Stranding: Director's Cut, to see the new content. I think I am close to wrap it up. And I will put some hours with The Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen 2 and Sword of The Sea. A very happy weekend for you all!!
@GuttyYZ I’ve got to Elysium a few times but get slaughtered by the boss. I’ve played nothing else since I bought it on Tuesday.
@naruball yeah I remember you saying about Hades and addiction 😂
It’s a crazy good game.
Mostly Balatro. I'm close to winning Gold Stake with all 15 decks (just a couple left) and also making good progress on the gold sticker collection.
On the side, I'm also playing through 11-11 Memories Retold before it leaves Plus. Hopefully I can finish it by Monday since then I'll want to focus on Yakuza 0 Director's Cut.
I'll be on Helldivers 2 I'm loving the update with the liquid hot "magma" worlds but please for the love of god people need to start packing smoke for the platinum extractions otherwise it's impossible!
Please spread the word!!
I'll be playing Red dead remaster aswell what a game!!
Happy weekend folks✌️
@playstation1995 I only ever completed dark souls 3 once when it launched what a game!!
I'll have to do another playthrough at some point!
@PerpetualBoredom My dear lad, I appreciate you summoning me from my Saturday slumber. How's it going, playing hot wheels?
Speaking of lads, I just finished Yakuza: LAD (Like a dragon) and I must say it's a fine made game. The story is great and the battles are satisfying. If anyone is on the verge of picking up a Yakuza game, this one is not a bad place to start (but some older chararacters do appear).
On the side note, Expedition 33 is on a whole other level gameplay and story-wise, so Yakuza would score even higher for me if it wasn't for Clair Obscur.
Cosmic Invasion, the Tokon closed Beta, and Ghost of Yotei.
Avatar - it’s a totally new game after the update, and much more enjoyable in third person for me.
I started Lego Horizon during the week so I'll continue with that and probably go back to Outer Worlds 2 and some Battlefield 6 later with my brother. I've also been slowly progressing in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond on Switch.
@Czar_Khastik (#39) that wordplay made my day 😂 Yeah, Hotwheels Monster Trucks are flying splendidly when exiting their looping, and nap time is about to commence, so I will be rested laterday. Glad you enjoy both games! Have a nice one!!!!
Everything else has been dropped since I started playing the incredible Sektori earlier in the week.
It looks like bullet hell (and the first boss CAN be if your upgrades haven't gone that well prior) but it really isn't. It's controllable chaos and deeply enjoyable gameplay, matched with pulsing music and a vivid visual overload that really pops on a good OLED (lucky enough to be playing on a Sony A95L here)
At £11.99, do yourself a favour and grab it. It's effectively Housemarque as they used to be. It's rare I post on this 'now playing', but feel this is something special.
KCD2, can't get enough of that world. Hunting and crafting in MHWilds. Rallying in the most realistic looking rally yet, EAWRC. Back on GoW Ragnarok, just exploring all the worlds doing favors and finding nornir chests.
Single player wise I’m continuing with S.T.A.L.K.E.R 2 which after about 26 hours of play I can tell it’s gonna be a long game!
Multiplayer wise I’ll be playing Labyrinthine and Coral Island tonight and Void Crew and maybe Borderlands 4 tomorrow.
I’m on the final level of Halo - it’s a game of two halves for sure, with the earlier levels being easily the best. It’s become a bit of a frustrating gauntlet at points in the later levels with some endless mobs and cheap deaths. I’ve still enjoyed it a lot though. Looking forward to getting started on the second one.
Switching between Octopath Traveller and Core Keeper. They’ll keep me busy for a while.
Claymates on Evercade
I’ll be playing astral chain on the switch U, i’m 3 hours into the opening tutorial, 50/50 the game is getting dropped. in non-gaming hobbies i’ll be starting a trabant 601 model kit
I finished Banished: Ghosts of New Eden going for resurrection. I don't know how much fun I would get out of another run going for ascension, so it it shelved for now.
Forspoken is disappearing on Plus together with Star Wars, so I've started them up. Star Wars is really fun. Forspoken has a weird charm to it, and so I might finish the story but I hit a snag where it is difficult to progress.
Forspoken seems like a game that was finished 2/3 and then that two-thirds was polished a lot. The map is huge, as are the cities but it is also weirdly devoid of life and detail. The combat is fun, traversal is okay, but I keep trying to climb everywhere and it is clearly not what the game intended. The writing is fine - the criticism leveraged on this game's dialogue was unfair.
Alan Wake 2 trying to finish this game. A good get for PS Plus and inventive through and through.
Basically the same as last week;
Dying Light: the Beast - been pretty much playing only this which means quite a few hours so I've managed to finish and platinum it, and I've really, really enjoyed it. Its not quite as good as the first, and its not without its flaws, but the combination of all its parts makes it a really good game. It was all I hoped for and more, which is probably why I got so obsessed with it., Fun gameplay, combat, exploration and story and some good side missions and a sprinkle of goofiness made this great fun!
LEGO Horizon adventures - been playing with my daughter and we're having fun. It looks amazing, gameplay is decent and a great game to play with a kid but not something I would play by myself much as its a bit simple and repetetive but we´ll se how long she wants to keep playing - hopefully we can finish it!
Next up I'll try the Red Dead Redemption remaster 🙂
The usual I'm afraid folks..Arc raiders,EA wrc and Dirt rally 2.0. I am thinking of purchasing test drive solar crown as its £17.50 at the moment but I'm not sure..anybody got any opinions on this?
Angry Birds Seasons (Windows Phone) - Still playing Christmas levels.
Equalicious (Windows Phone) - Also still working on this as well.
Angry Birds Space (Windows Phone) - Is there such a thing as too much Angry Birds?
I finished Pools on Psvr2, Great visual and acoustic experience! Then I started Pirates VR: Jolly Roger on Psvr2, which seems promising but it just lacks this little bit of extra budget, and in my book is an okay game, certainly for the sale price I got it for.
I may check out the new Gt7 tracks on psvr2, try thief vr or ghost town, or leave those for later, and try the banjo-Kazooie dreams in dreams (too sad that dreams was not ported to ps5 and psvr2).
Forgot to mention above I’ll be in the Closed Beta of a certain Marvel game and bouncing in and out of Shinobi as well!
Hello there fellow gamers.
This weekend I´ll be playing the following games:
I´m slowly, but steadily advancing trough Act 3 in Silksong, already defeated 5 new Bosses and doing new sidequests. As for metaphor, I´m in the end game going for the final dungeon to face the final Boss;
Cheers everyone and happy gaming weekend to us all
It’s been quite the month, from my car wreck, to my mother in law passing, and this week(end) I’m in Tennessee and Georgia for a wedding. It was a 13 hour journey, but it’s been fun so far.
Meanwhile, I have my Switch 2 with me and I’m playing Cyberpunk 2077. I played it on the PS5 and got the platinum for it. Even still, I can’t believe how damn good this game is on the Switch 2. It’s hands down one of the most immersive experiences I’ve had. It’s gorgeous, and plays smooth as hell. Additionally, I’ve realized I hadn’t actually played the Phantom Liberty DLC, so it feels like a fresh playthrough.
In addition, I’m playing Metroid Prime 4. I’m only a few hours in, and whilst it is quite linear at the moment, I find it to be wonderful. Personally, it invokes the same feelings I had when I first played Halo: Combat Evolved. I know there are issues—empty desert, chatty NPCs, and linear dungeons—but these things haven’t swayed my opinion negatively.
MP4 may not innovate the genre forward or have any revolutionary mechanics, but I don’t need it to. All I wanted was more Prime Metroid, and that is what I have gotten. The game still has the feeling of isolation, and very atmospheric locales. This is all bolstered by excellent sound design and a superb soundtrack.
It may not be worth the 18-year wait, but I’ll always take more Metroid over no Metroid.
Here is who I am and where I am this weekend.
Adam Jenson in Hengsha
Geralt of Rivia in Novigrad
Nomad in Bolivia.
My Anniversary was this week so gaming was put on hold but I did buy Octopath Traveler 0 so I'll eventually start that while continuing on in the increasingly enjoyable Digimon Story Time Stranger! Looking forward to reading what all of you are doing/playing this weekend. Cheers 🍻 PushSquare posse!
It's mostly the same as last week for me, as I'm still playing Lunacid with VR mod and Demeo (also VR).
I did jump into multiplayer with Demeo, with random players online (no chance to get any real friends into this I'm afraid) and I've gotta say: the players of this game are super nice. Always helpful and patient with new players.
Nothing like the Grinches you encounter daily in games like Apex Legends or R6 Siege.
@Chip-Douglas dark souls 3 is a masterpiece I'm playing as a mage and I got my sword also.dark souls 3 is incredible. Word up son
@DonkeyFantasy nice Mate. Glad you got one sorted. What did you go for in the end?
Animal Well!
It's a fantastic metroidvania, would highly recommend
I'll be playing the magnificent Flight Simulator 2024 on my base PS5.
So far the simulator runs really smooth! Better than the Beta!
And play some more FF Rebirth.
Just to satisfy my RPG itch.
Have a good weekend all!
Continuing on Tales of Graces F, the game has opened up a lot now with plenty of events and side stuff to find in older areas. I love the writing and combat so it's been fun exploring every single thing
And I also restarted Sonic Frontiers. When i 1st played this I wasn't really in the mood to play games, so I think it negatively affected my view on the game and also never finished it. But on this 2nd try, things are going so differently I'm shocked lol. It's such a wonderful game. I adore all the mini platforming segments sprawling around this open free zone to run around in when i used to think they were randomly thrown all around the map with no rhythm. And it helps that sonic actually feels great to control. I remember feeling like it had some jank to it but this time I don't feel it at all. Great music as usual, tons of collectibles, fun open areas to explore. Stages are short but sweet. Combat has also been fun with plenty of options. Easily one of my favorite modern Sonic games
I’m playing Kingdom Hearts 2 on my PS5. I’m also messing about on Hades, as I’ve just got a Switch 2 I’m planning on buying Hades II for it
@playstation1995 Best of both worlds magic and physical damage I have to start a new game in it it's been far to long enjoy my friend ✌️
@1970sGamer Any tips ? I love the game but struggling to get past the 1st world 🤣
Hoping to finish up Suikoden II but it's going to be a busy weekend so we'll see
Alan Wake 2 for me. As with the first game, the atmosphere and story are top notch. That will take me to the credits.
As with the first game, the combat and gameplay I can take or leave. The Caldera Station, full of dead ends and backtracking and memory board stuff was annoying as hell.
Happy gaming everyone!
Resident Evil 3 Remake along with WWE 2K25.
@Northern_munkey Test drive is actually playable...it has an intolerable opening intro thats trully cringe. Get past that and theres plenty of annoyance and reminder that your in AA territory and some awfull UI choices. But the world map is pretty decent and mostly looks good, and the few cars I've driven are ok, the handling being arcadey rather than sim. Ive been distracted from going back, but I do intend to. If your bored and want a new game world to poke about in then its ok for that money. But its by no means essential and I can see many thinking its a pos! Hope that helps 👍
Eternal Strands for me. Got the platinum for Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden last week. Great game. I’ve been coming across these really good/great lesser known titles lately. Shame that so many good games go unplayed.
@Jrs1 I grab one speed up, then wait for missile upgrades, which are great as they spread wider and home in. Don't get too distracted by trying to complete MIRAGE too early as you'll just likely lose shields trying to time the letters.
I'm far from great and die on first world myself maybe half the time at moment. It bizarrely gets a little easier if you can make it over that bump, which is why I feel it needs a slight balancing to give you longer before that boss. But I'm 55 next week and not quite the gamer I was in these kinds of genres and I'm sure there are people breezing through the whole lot no problem.
Main thing is its still enjoyable however far you get imo. 🙂
Not sure what I'll get into this weekend. I haven't been able to stick with anything lately. Might end up working a bit - need to play some catch up. Whatever I end up playing, I'm sure it will feature either some sort of zombie shooting or turn-based fantasy.
Have a great weekend, everybody.
Metroid Prime 4
@Marquez are you new to Banishers? Just wanna hear your take on it. I’ve honestly not interacted with any other gamers who’ve played it.
Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 and Arc Raiders 🎉👹
May hop into a few rounds in the dlc for Nightreign and continue Expedition 33. Just got a full party of 4 in the game.
@1970sGamer Cheers bud for that, im 53 lol but can't let my arcade roots go 😉👍
Dynasty warriors origins! Enjoying hell out of it and I'm nearly 30 hours in and only started chapter 3. Bit chuffed .
@Titntin cheers for the info. I loved the original TDU back on the 360 but wasn't too taken with the 2nd. I might give this a butchers and grab it for a rainy day.
Astro Bot - Finally got around to buying it last week during Black Friday. Have played for about 5 hours now and absolutely loving this game. Fun regular levels and challenging platform levels. Nice trip down PlayStation nostalgia lane too.
Hotline Miami 2!!!! Where have you been all my life??? lol
I know I'll sound like i've been living in a cave here. But I always knew these games existed. I just always write off games with retro/pixel art graphics. They are not my cup of tea. But saw both Hotline games on the BF sale sitting there for $2 a piece. So figured I'd be losing nothing just trying. And I'll tell you both of them are fantastic. Addicting, the music, the gameplay. Solid gold
Destiny 2 starwars ... Wow, the mission to get the light Saber solo without a guide took hours and hours but was worth it. It's a real slayer.
Also some trophie hunter games just a we few but no Hannah Montana in sight.
I’d put my decorations up on the 28th Nov . After my 50 hour obsession with Baby Steps, I watched a Let’s Play (Special Edd) and realised I’d never have the patients to finish it, but I absolutely loved it and might chip away at it. I started Star Ocean The Second Story R and I’m really liking it, the combat’s a bit button-mashy but it’s fine.
Also having fun with the GT7 Power Pack, but wow, do we really have to watch an intro to every single car!?! It’s like 60 seconds before the race starts, and one of this weeks mission races is pretty tricky.
Hello again, y'all! I'm a bit late since I forgot to check Push Square earlier this morning, but this weekend I'm playing:
Switch:
Animal Crossing New Horizons
Super Mario Maker 2: just a bit more Course World to reach the coveted 100 hour mark.
PS4:
Cyberdimension Neptunia: 4 Goddesses Online: about eight hours in now, all of my eight party members are above level 10, but my favorite one that I've used the whole time is well on its way to level 20 (🤣).
After playing the remastered red dead which is still great in all its bare bones , I decided to download red dead 2 again , I cant believe this was actually a ps4 game , it looks better than a lot of ps5 games , a travesty it didn't win game of the year at the game awards , fingers crossed they update it to a native ps5 version, I have a feeling gta6 is gonna melt brains.
I’ve waited 18 years for it so there’s no way I’m playing anything but prime 4 this weekend. It’s better than critics would make you believe in my opinion and the HDR implementation is beautiful, especially at 120fps!
Sorry Sony I’m nintendo’s this weekend…
@DonkeyFantasy Beautiful 👌 I wish I could find a space to put another cockpit. I miss mine. Had to sell it when we re arranged the living room.
On PS5 ~ Blood: Refreshed Suppy, it's so awesome to play this on console and it seems to have a decent platinum, too
On Xbox Series S I'll continue on Outer Worlds 2, it's surprisingly better than expected 🫣
@AhmadSumadi Yes first playthrough and pretty early on in the story but I'm really struck by the tone, the characters and particularly the standard of the voice acting. I'm really keen to see where the story goes, most of the negative discourse I've read has been around combat mechanics and for me those do not break a game if the story and performances hold up.
Where winds meet, Black Myth Wukong...
@AhmadSumadi banishers is great!
Some FF VII Rebirth (first time playing a FF game). I am seriously hooked on this. Also started a 4th playthrough of Tchia. It's become a gaming comfort food for me. It's a Zelda-esque title rooted in New Caledonia mythology about a girl on an island whose father gets kidnapped. Don't let the cuteness of the game fool you, as it has some seriously dark humor that left me in stitches. You can also transform into any animal you see which is awesome. This includes turning into a bird where you can poop on people. Yes, really.
@DarianStarfrog Seriously, I loved Banishers it is so underrated. Especially the haunting cases, they were so well written.
@Steeleye25 good to hear you’re enjoying rebirth is a great game! Did you not play remake first though?
@Marquez very much my thoughts. Voice work is some of the best I’ve heard in gaming, like, ever. The combat is pretty basic but not game-breaking. The “fast” travel became bothersome in the end when I was going for platinum but an overall great experience. Lemme know if you’re going for platinum and I’ll give you a vital hint that no one seems to have dropped on the Interwebs.
@DarianStarfrog for sure! Such a (not so) hidden gem. I’m hoping for a sequel but I don’t think it fared too well financially.
@Dodoo No, it's sad been gaming since 1978 and have never played a FF game before this. So I'll probably try out the remake after since I'm about 20 hrs in. Really loving it though.
@AhmadSumadi I beat it at launch and loved it. I would recommend though before finishing the game make sure to do all the haunting cases. I loved every aspect of it. The only complaint I could make was that I did like the combat but it could have been better. But for story and exploration I thought it was incredible.
Prime 4; Beyond
Hour 75 and Chapter 12 of FF7:Rebirth. Each time I say I’ll mainline the main story I end up completing everything on every map
I may have a problem
@Dodoo Rebirth is my first as well. I bounced off Remake for some reason. It just didn’t click. Love Rebirth though
Prime 4 and Blood.
@StitchJones I had to play the HM games and see how they feel before I got into them. Some of my favorites.
@AhmadSumadi Yes, thinking about the platinum and have read there's a point of no return save you can make that speeds up going for the two endings.
@Steeleye25 yeah square did a good job with the remakes in my opinion. I’m sure you’ll love remake too plus it’ll fill in a bit of the story for your rebirth play through.
I’d recommend getting the interlude version as it has a few more bells and whistles, especially with the yuffie dlc.
@Puketapu that’s fair enough, rebirth is definitely more open world so maybe that’s why you prefer it?
@Kraven...you've made me more confident and excited about MP4 now. Gotta wait til Xmas though 😭 but thanks
@BrownOwl I will definitely try to get it done by the next weekend also want to go back and play some inazuma eleven victory road
Thus far I’ve been playing Sektori (a twin stick shooter I suck at but the few minutes it takes to kill me are glorious), Luminees Arise (wonderfully trippy), GT7 (haven’t messed much with the new content because I am working on winning 1st on an older track), Helldivers 2 (which got a new warbond with an insane new shotgun as well as the long requested mini gun but also got new lava worlds which introduced new mission types including an incredibly brutal new extraction mission), Roboquest VR (gorgeous cell shaded roguelike fps with some crazy weapons and a ton of enemy variety), Demon School (which has a pixelart style and is kind of a fusion of Persona and a squad based tactics game and has become my game of choice when playing on Portal) and a bit of V Racer Hoverbike (I am having trouble with this one time challenge, missing the mark by .007 seconds at one point).
I would like to check out Path of Exile 2 (which just got a major update) and start on Ghost Town (VR puzzle/adventure game) but time will tell. I normally don’t get in this much gaming time but there are upsides to having a cold 😁.
@Marquez yes. And it’s right in your face so you can’t miss it.
My piece of advice is for one particular haunting case; Saints and Sinners. If you Blame the human, you can miss the Book Wo trophy that requires you to collect 15 Bibles for him.
My advice is to do this case very last if you’re going to banish or ascend the ghost. This way, when you collect the quest to find the 5 Bibles, you’ll likely have all the travel points unlocked so you can get to the Bibles quickly. Many of them are right next to the campfires.
Also, don’t turn in the 5 Bibles when you get the 5 for the quest. This’ll end the quest and make the trophy missable. Just collect all 15 and have them in your inventory. You don’t even have to turn them in to him.
This quest is one of the most annoying in the game because you have to go all over the map for it. If you’ve already traveled the map, it makes it much easier to jump from place to place.
I learned this the hard way and this trophy too me hours to complete because I tried to do it before I had every travel point unlocked.
@AhmadSumadi Great advice - thank you!
@LikelySatan Sweet bro. Yeah, as I said, retro/pixel art are usually instant write offs for me. Esp here in almost-2026 when we have games on Decima engine. But the draw with HM was the addictive gameplay. Nothing is cooler then taking out 4 at a time, with a well placed and coordinated window shot
Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls
Sonic Frontiers
Destiny 2
Starship Troopers: Extermination
Vampire Bloodhunt
I'm playing Star Wars Fallen Order its alright I'm not a massive SW fan but just fancied something different and it was on sale 2 months ago for like £3.50 or under £4
@Dodoo Thanks I will definitely do that as soon as I finish Rebirth. Appreciate the recommendation!
