Last week was a bit of a busier WAYP while we enjoyed the Easter weekend, but things are quieter this time out. Fortunately, there are no shortage of games to be playing right now, so we're sure there'll be a flurry of activity in the comments.

The variety of Game Gear games in Sonic Origins Plus have been grabbing my attention, although it's slightly disappointing that these extra Game Gear titles don't have fresh Trophies.

Oh I've got a huge list of games to play, but I think I'm going to put the meat of my time into SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy, which is a super-casual fighter I've always had a soft spot for.
Those are some of the games we're playing this weekend, then, but what about you? As always you know the drill, so let us know in the comments section below.

I decided to give Assassin's Creed Valhalla another try and I am 4 hours into a fresh start. My problem is that it feels really slow compared to Origins and Odyssey. The scenery is beautiful but the map is absolutely disgusting and bland. Origins and Odyssey both have beautiful maps that I love to look at.
On the Switch I will play the first Soul Reaver
And I wanted to remember the times when Pokemon was actually good and crafted with care so I am firing up an old save of Pokemon Black. Damn ... Violet and Scarlet ... what garbage games those are
I HOPE that Winds and Waves bring the series back!!!
Happy gaming everyone!!!
I've finished up my Dark Souls playthrough now, I gave Sekiro another go, but it's just not for me. I beat Gyoubu which I didn't do last time, but it felt like a slog so, despite my hatred of 30fps I've gone on to Bloodborne. If you play it at 1080p, it's actually not too bad.
I've been having a play with Graveyard Keeper (still free for a couple of days) and what I've played so far is fun, it definitely has a Stardew Valley with Corpses vibe I got back into Ball X Pit too, damn near as addictive as Vampire Survivors.
Have a great weekend folks!
Super Mario Galaxy & Super Mario Galaxy 2: Obviously still on the first but it's great fun to revisit. The tradeoff for Mario's freedom of movement is that you get some great gravity mechanics and some truly stunning galaxies, my favorites being Gusty Garden or Haunted. I'm also trying the trickster comets and they're mostly not bad; tough but fair. Looking forward to trying out the sequel in a week or so!
I'll be going between Starfield and Judgment though probably more Judgment since Starfield crashes every time i try and survey planets.
A WAYP at 10am instead of the usual 10.30....What sick twisted sorcery is this 🤔😄...That aside I'm still rummaging round Staunton on GTA3, taking over forts on Shadow of War, and just started vault hunter mode on Borderlands 2 🙂
Shin Megami Tensei 2 on my N3DS and the updated Cyberpunk on the Pro.
More World War Z: Aftermath and Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown. With a bit of luck… and elite cat-herding, we might get the PvP trophies squared away today, though I’m not holding my breath tbh 😅. Have a great wknd peeps!
I'm Planning on playing through both Pillars of eternity and Pillars of eternity 2.
Having been away back to playing Skyrim in VR, it really is transformative.
I'd mostly been taking a break from gaming these past few days, but I'm gonna focus on Wukong starting now.
Wow, only two PushSquare editors contributing once again. Why don’t they all write a few lines?
In a strange gaming place: picked up Laundry Store Simulator which I played non stop all week.
It was a cosy crafting gateway back into No Man's Sky. Absolutely lovely game for my current mood.
Dropped KCD2 for now as ironically I've been finding the game frustrating and overwhelming.
@DrVenture69 What’s the reason Sekiro isn’t for you? I’ve been thinking about that game for a long while after beating Elden Ring, Demon’s Souls remake and Lies of P. I’m afraid it’s just too difficult though, since you can’t buff your character if you’re stuck on a boss?
i’ll be playing leisure suit larry 2 and the longest journey on the laptop. i will also be fighting with the menus in Starfield on the series X.
Going old school and started Control - for the 1st time.
I have to be honest I am a bit lost when it comes to the narrative but I am having lots of fun game play-wise.
Starfield for me. Loving it so far. The amount of things to see and do is really impressive. Playing it reminds me why I love Bethesda games.
I'll also be playing Toxic Commando in co-op.
It’s been a hell of a week with a sudden hospital emergency, my tv blowing up, falling down the stairs, unrelated to the hospital emergency. So I’m staying safe inside with some Dredge and Tomb raider 2013.
Same as last two weekends;
Dread delusion this week. And probably going to plow through more metaphor refantazio.
Life is Strange Reunion - finished and platinumed! I'm a bit torn about this game. In the end, its a pretty good game that had some great moments but its also not as good as the first game and it doesnt make me feel all those feelings I got playing all those years ago. Also, changing the ending from the first game isnt the best idea even if they make it work in the story. That ending was a big part of what made the game so good, and the choice that had to be made... anyway, it was good to see Max and Chloe again and if this was to be the last LiS game then fine, I understand the choices they made making this game. Personally I hope we can get some more LiS games with new stories and characters, I like them 🙂
Still amazed at how interesting side quests start just by talking to random people with no quest markers in KCD2...it's just crazy. Trying to stack up a lot of cash from side quests for those crazily expensive equipment in the shops. It'll be mainly KCD2 plus a bit of other games as well.
I'm around thirty hours into Crimson Desert, halfway through chapter 4 of 12 - so more of that this weekend. Overall it's a really good time, even though there's at least one thing that irks me every play session - an uneven game that I hope they keep working on and, more to the point, follow up with a much-improved sequel.
Alongside that, Marathon continues to be a great time; there's a definite spike in difficulty across all maps when Cryo Archive is open, as players exfil with the best loot and turn up on other maps to wreak havoc... but the minute to minute gameplay remains top tier.
Enjoy whatever you're playing out there this weekend!
No change for me this weekend; still playing Trails in the Sky the Third, and Alan Wake 2. Still having a whale of a time with both.
On the second Night Springs interlude at the moment and very happy to be playing as a certain red-haired character again.
Have a great weekend, everyone.
Watching Belmont Curse trailer makes me want to get Castlevania: Lament of Innocence ($10) and Castlevania Chronicles ($6) from PS3 store. I actually want a physical copy but the local online sellers put a high price for both games. They slap around $100 for Chronicles and $60 for Lament of Innocence without detail description if the CD is in good shape or not. It's crazy how PS1 and PS2 physical copy became so expensive these days 😔
Anyway, this weekend i'm playing:
Have a nice weekend everyone 🍻
Crimson Desert Around 40 hours played, still in Hernand lol. Absolutely love this game. So easy to get sidetracked, and there’s so much to do. The other day I saw a clip on YouTube of what looked like a steampunk city in the game! I don’t know where it is, but I can’t wait to get there!
Pragmata demo. I still haven’t got around to playing this yet, but will boot it up this weekend in anticipation of the full game release next week.
Cyberpunk 2077 I managed to successfully import my Xbox save (completed game) onto my PS5 Pro, so will have a wander around Night City on my newest console.
Xenoblade Chronicles X (DE) After 25 hours, I’m finally on the verge of getting my skell…
Oh yeah, and I have a week off work now! So will be rinsing all these games and more 😂
Back into Cyberpunk on PS5 Pro....only started it to see the difference the update makes - now its got me hook, line and sinker again! One of the finest games ever.....
Crimson Desert ...making intentionally slow progress and loving it, despite forgetting the controls constantly 😅....
Starcraft 2 (again ) on PC.....trying to go for the difficult hardcore and obscure Achievements.....
Have a great weekend guys and gals ❤️
Finished Resident Evil 3 Remake yesterday. Game was over in 4 hours. Played all the mainline games except Requiem and I think this is the worst.
Fury Unleashed. Im at the final chapter so I hope I finish it today.
Cursed to golf. Started it yesterday and played for 10 minutes. I'll continue this tomorrow.
Hell let loose. Probably a game or two.
Have a great weekend!
Grinding out daily challenges in Rayman Legends as I make another push to eke out that platinum.
Playing the Returnal Ascension expansion to prepare for Saros.
Cleaning Adventure Time locations in PowerWash Simulator 2 while listening to audiobooks to unwind.
Greetings fellow video game enthusiasts. Donkey Kong Bananza is in full swing (that's a pun). I will also be Dispatching. Happy gaming time everyone.
I bought crimson desert the other day, played a few hrs but the controls feel cluncky and a bit off, so going to wait for a few more patches. So decided to give cyberpunk another go only just started it about an hour ago feels like i might get into it this time
Finishing up space marine 2 mp trophies so I can grab that 70th plat!
@Zuljaras ...totally agree regards Valhalla - the only Ass Creed game ive never finished. Bored me rigid, hated the characters
@GamingGod...
Some of those MP trophies are hard ! Ive only played it on XBX so far, not got 100% gamerscore on it as yet though. Kudos
Sleeping Dogs and the occasional Skate.
Going to give Neon White a go and if I don’t get along with it I’ll try Graveyard Keeper
@KingPev yeah merciless can be tricky, 5 kills without dying. Managed grab that last night . The rest can boosted in private lobbies if you so wish but that would get boring lol
Resident Evil 0, I replayed REmake during the week and now I have the urge to replay the entire mainline franchise AND acquire physical copies... So far I have RE Origins collection, RE2 Remake and RE7 Gold Edition, so got a chunk to fill in.
If anyone is curious REmake holds up really well and Jill is still The Best.
@Darude84
A good question. Maybe laziness?
@Darude84 it just seems to be 'sustained perfection' and learning the trick to bosses, it feels like I'm spending hours on each boss but the exploration payoff just isn't doing it for me. It's pretty prescriptive in how you have to play it. I guess most people hit that inflection point where they 'get it' but I'm just not hitting that. Hey, it's always there if I want to go back.
Bloodborne feels like baby town frolics by comparison
New Pro guy here so I’m checking out the Cyberpunk 2077 patch and sweet mamma jamma is it impressive!! Otherwise John Crimson and I are exploring more and I’ll finally wrap up Requiem. Enjoy all!
@KingPev my only problem with ACValhalla is, everyone seems to talk in some poetic way, it gets really annoying.
I finished the Platinum on Requiem last weekend, a rarity for me. I've been cycling through games trying to find one that I look forward to playing rather than doing it out of convenience - Lunar: Silver Star Story (PS4 Remaster) is one that I spent some time on in the last week, so that may be it this weekend.
I've had a hankering for something similar to Unicorn Overlord, but nothing is really scratching that itch. Fire Emblem: Three Houses is a recommendation that I saw quite a bit, but I just can't get into it. Alas.
Have a great weekend, everybody.
I'm nearing the end of the excellent South of midnight.
Got life of strange reunion lined up next. Going in blind and cautiously hopeful (hard after double exposure).
I will continued playing one of the best video games ever made in the incredible the elder scrolls 📜 5 skyrim. And I will be continued playing fan favorite the amazing darksiders warmaster edition. My michigan wolverines 💛 💙 won 🏆 the ncaa championship 🏀 basketball championship so I'm extremely happy.and I will watch my boston celtics 💚 🖤 play.i will watch legendary sitcoms TV 📺 comedy shows in family matters.good times.the Jeffersons.sanford and son.different strokes.martin.the wayans brothers. Married with children and saved by the bell.word up son
More psvr2 shenanigans for me with the obligatory GT7 and I grabbed Arizona sunshine remake which is only £10 at the moment. Its a good laugh but I am still struggling with the hand controllers but I'll get used to it. That zombie head you can pick up at the start and look at is quite disgusting. It's the masters weekend so I'll be watching that in the evening so if any of the usual mob want a marathon session contact me through psn and I'll jump on. Have a great weekend folks 👍
I'll be playing 'Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne' and 'Marathon'.
I'm getting ready for Easter, in some ways it's bigger for me than Christmas, it's a culture thing, peaceful too. But I did make some room for gaming. Graveyard Keeper is free this weekend on the PSN/Xbox/PC I've played it on PC, The Steam Deck, and the PS5, I even prefer it to Stardew Valley.
The premise is simple enough, as a care-taker to a graveyard (in a mystical world) you have to deal with bodies building up, zombies, extracting gooey bits, disposing of gooey stuff, growing and tending to crops, light resource management, a town-full of quirky characters with their own quests and that's without mentioning the various DLCs like automated zombies/tavern management, which are on sale right now. It's probably one of my top ten games so I'm returning to it once again this weekend in celebration of the sequel being announced. Happy gaming weekend Folks.
@DrVenture69 I wonder if playing bloodborne via the psvr2 headset might alleviate the awful frame pacing? I might have to give it a try.
@DrVenture69 Thanks! It seems like this may not be my game at all. I like exploring every inch of a map, playing with my builds etc. Not losing progress because I clicked one wrong button.
Mafia 2. I've finished the base game and got the platinum trophy, so now I'm checking out the DLC expansions. Also playing Shuten Order. I've reached an ending of it, but I just want to go back and do something I missed. And also Xenoblade Chronicles 2. After a bit of a hiatus, I managed to get unstuck on it yesterday, so I'll be carrying on with that.
