With the clocks already changed in the UK and the US catching up this weekend, we're very much diving head first into the slog that is winter. The cold months also happen to be the perfect period to play video games, so here's what's keeping us busy.

I've been waiting years, and ARC Raiders is finally here! That's my weekend well and truly sorted.

I love the Double Dragon series, so with nine WAYP weekends left of new releases in 2025, I'm excited to collect my PS5 physical order of the Limited Edition of Arc System Works' brand new Double Dragon Revive.

Look, I hate to give boring answers every week, but I'm playing Zenless Zone Zero. It's all I ever play these days. I'm sorry.
Those are the games we're playing, then, but what about the rest of you? It's been a hectic period for new releases, so we're expecting lots of insight in the comments section below.

Did I beat him this week?
Edit: Apparently I did. Be right back, gotta call my mom to let her know I finally did something with my life.
Edit 2: I'm playing Yakuza: Like a Dragon and having a blast in Yokohama. The pot is stirring between 3 rival factions, so I can't wait to continue the story. It's a long game but a really fun one, so if anyone is up for a turn-based over-the-top literal Japanese RPG, then here you go.
For me DooM 3, I started it again to make a nice screenshot journey
Then Castlevania Symphony of the Night along with Super Castlevania IV!
And I will spare little time in Bram Stoker's Dracula on the Mega Drive!
@Czar_Khastik By 1 second! Congratulations!
After 18hrs I got the Platinum the Robocop: Rogue City in the week so that’s one of my back log done.
I’ll be playing the excellent Diablo 3 as much as I can but unfortunately there’s not a lot of gaming this weekend as pretty busy with a few beers and football, naturally 😂
Have a great gaming weekend Pushsquarians! 🍻
This week I’ve been working still on Cronos The New Dawn and it is phenomenal. I’ll dip in and out of Arc Raiders all weekend and continue with my new obsession BallxPit as I chase completing all of the levels.
Beyond that I’ve redownloaded Wanted: Dead as lately I’ve been thinking about how much I enjoyed the gun fu experience and I’d like to see how it holds up still.
Enjoy the weekend all!
@Czar_Khastik 😂 😂
@Czar_Khastik I was hoping to also accomplish that lol
@Zuljaras Thanks, this was one hard achievement to crack 😎 I wish you and the rest of the crew here a great gaming weekend!
Still playing the excellent Ghost of yotei, but the hunt is nearly over.
Then I need to decide what next to buy/play?...
(There have been a few I have been thinking about but I'm undecided)
Standard weekend for me. I will be playing some Fortnite with the sons. Some Fut champs on EA: FC26. Then also will be jumping on some Alien: Fire teams, for some great co-op alien action. Happy Gaming All
Continuing with Lorelei and the Laser Eyes this weekend. I'm at about 80% completion now. This has been one of my personal standouts of the year for me, it's just soooooo good. And best played knowing as little about it as possible going in.
My eldest daughter is also playing Lorelei at the moment so there's a bit of friendly competition going on as to who will solve it all first. She's in the lead at the moment, but she did get a head-start on me 😅
Have a great weekend, fellow gamers.
@Czar_Khastik #lifegoals 😂
This weekend is all about ARC Raiders - to be able to drop into an extraction shooter solo and not feel intimidated is an awesome feeling! Looking forward to some duos later as well. See you all topside.
I’ve been playing Resident Evil Revelations (1), the campaign is proving quite fun! I am also playing Resident Evil 5 with a friend online, probably my 5th play through - trying professional difficulty 🫣
And some Diablo 4 😁
Finished the awesome Ghost of Yotei last week. GOY is my GOTY so far.
Just started Silent Hill f and early days I'm not sure it's for me but I'll give it a fair chance. I do find after playing an amazing game the next one always fails to fully grab me
Finished:
Finally i can cross this game from my backlog. I got the best ending after done all the requirement and i quite satisfied with the ending. Sadly The 3rd Birthday kinda ruined this ending with time travel shenanigans.
Beat this game again for like the 4th time? After all these years, it still a great game.
Playing:
Have a great weekend everyone 🍻
Back on Metro Exodus, this native PS5 version is just one of best looking games ever created, crazy! KCD2, another good looking Deep Silver classic, plus some KCD1 as well. CP2077, Deathloop, ACValhalla, probably a bit of RDR2, MHRise...hmph hard to focus on one game these days. Got the credits rolling for MH Iceborne, now to find more monsters I haven't met yet, but what's with the dog-like monsters always at the end.
On a whim, i bought Inscryption on sale thinking “I’m not that interested in card games, but i’ll give it s shot”. I’m now as obsessed with it as i was Lorelei and the Laser Eyes and The Blue Prince (41 trophies too!) I’d much rather spend £70 on ten games like these than on one “committee developed” piece of “AAA” dross.
I hope Daniel Mullin’s other games come to playstation at some point or i might have to support him via those Half Life 3 withholding monsters “steam”
Have a great weekend folks!
@ErrantRob I’m also on Cronos and loving it! I think I’m in the second half of the game now. Halloween might be gone, but I’m keeping the pumpkin costume.
Completed Wuchang fallen feathers so now starting Outer worlds 2 on Series X. On Pro Vampire Bloodlines 2 and Ghost of Yotei
Got the plat in Absolum during the week so my slate is clear now with the exception of new Dispatch episodes.
Until Christmas I think I'll just be doing Dark Souls III co-op. A friend told me the other week that she'd never played the expansions so we've been chipping away at them.
I will be continued playing one of the best video games ever made in the incredible deaf cells.i will also be continued playing the instant classic in the amazing hollow knight voidheart edition. I will also continued be playing fan favorite the wonderful greedfall.i will also be continued playing another fan favorite video games in the phenomenal yakuza like a dragon.and I will continued playing legendary classics the excellent teenage mutant ninja turtles the cowabunga collection. I will be watching my boston celtics 💚🖤 play.and I will be watching my pittsburgh steelers 💛🖤 play.i will be watching legendary sitcoms TV 📺 comedy shows in family matters.good times.the Jeffersons.sanford and son.different strokes.martin.and saved by the bell.word up son
Destiny 2 and after about 1.5 years away and playing other FPS. D2 still shines as the best.
Really don’t understand why this game gets digs all the time.
On a side note, just installed my new Sony rear speakers RS5 upgraded from RS3.
What a difference when you give it some.
Sony expensive, but delivering again.
Though got them for £500 instead of £700.
Goes well with the Sony sound bar and subwoofer and of course the 65” A95L.
Let’s not forget the PS5 Pro.
Even though some on here think I hate Sony and dig them a bit. I bet no one is a Sony person as much as me.
Also back to tracking down the Yotei six after taking a detour to play through Bloodborne and The Old Hunter’s dlc. I was surprised to see Orphan of Kos so high on FromSoft boss difficulty lists, it really didn’t trouble all that much and I’m far from gud at these games.
Will likely finish Yotei soon and then probably on to Dark Souls Remastered or MGS Delta. Enjoy the weekend everyone.
Today: Suikoden II and Sniper Elite
Tonight: belated Halloween party with a bottle of rum
Tomorrow: reconsider my life choices
Greetings fellow video game enthusiasts. I wasn’t able to finish Luigi’s Mansion 3 before Halloween ended, but I’ll carry on with that. Hope everyone had a good ween.
@Rich33 @PuppetMaster

Just platted Alan Wake 2. What a ride it was! One of the best games this generation imo. Ill continue the dlc for this good game. After that its Silent Hill 2 remake.
Have a great weekend!
I'm starting Darkest Dungeon 2 and Dragon's Dogma 2!
I've heard neither are as good as the originals but I want to see for myself
Well it'll be a battle to see what I cough up first..the phlegm that's manifested itself on my chest or my ring piece..my moneys on my ring piece. In between bouts of coughing like doc holiday at the end of tombstone I'll be playing BF6 and Arc Raiders which is surprisingly excellent..have a great weekend folks 😷
Euro Truck Simulator 2
Delivered beverages to Ostrava. Delivered petrol to Bratislava. Delivered wood shavings to Debrecen. Delivered pesto to Banska Bystrica. Delivered sawdust paels to Bratislava. Delivered chlorine to Salzburg. Delivered a reservoir tank to Warsaw. Delivered campervans to Osnabruck. After 92 days my Ziggurat Spedition trucking empire has 33 trucks.
F1 23
Won in Brazil for McLaren.
Little Nightmares
Finished the game as my Halloween game. Nice style and atmosphere but slightly fiddly platforming from fixed camera angles was a bit frustrating. Rating: B-Tier.
The Legend of Zelda
Completed the first four dungeons.
Hello there fellow gamers.
This weekend I´ll continue playing:
Cheers everyone and happy gaming to us all
@Czar_Khastik that's an instant platinum trophy there!
@Blauwe_Chimay Alan Wake 2 is superb. Brilliant in every aspect
Wreckreation (PS5), Tormented Souls 2 (PS5) and Black Ops 6 (PS5).
Still playing Absolum, but it's seriously kicking my butt. A great game, but a little tough for me. Maybe I need more practice.
It's also a shame I can hardly ever find anyone online to play with. Has anyone had similar issues?
When I get home tomorrow it will be Halls of Torment.
@Burnish1619 Dragon’s Dogma 2 is definitely better than the original - it’s almost a remake of the original. It’s fantastic, hope you enjoy it!
Very strange game in many ways, won’t be for everyone, but if it clicks there’s nothing else like it.
I’m on God of War: Ragnarok, creeping towards the end (at 520h so far) of Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous, and about to get stuck into ‘Dispatcher’ now we’ve got a decent chunk of episodes out!
Ball X Pit and really not much else since i bought it, damn addictive wee game 👍
@PuppetMaster
RE3 remake got too much bad press at launch - its still a very good game, even though they cut things they shouldn't have. I preferred the more scripted interactions with Nemesis in the Remake.
Let's not forget that for as good as RE2 remake was, it was still highly flawed in regards how they handled the 'B' stories. The original had far, far more, & bigger differences compared to the 'A' stories (eg bosses), allowing you to believe an A and B story were happening at the same time.
@rusty82
So good Ive bought the dlc. Payed 6 euros for it so big win for me!
Nothing. Like any upstanding citizen I'm just here to upvote those whose gaming habits I deem worthwhile, while I sneer in contempt at the rest.
@Rich33 But Resident Evil 2 Remake did not feel like a DLC. It was almost a perfect game. The A/B scenarios mistake was not such a big disaster. The game shined on its own.
RE3R on its own is just disappointing.
You can clearly see how rushed they were to release it. For me it is a standalone DLC
I finished Reach on Psvr2, much faster than expected. While I share some of the criticism of all the rather negative reviews for this game, overall I really enjoyed it. I think that it looked for most parts rather beautiful in the headset, and I had a really fun time with the game, and that's why I finished it rather quickly.
I restarted Ghost of Tsushima. When I started to play it the first time at some point I did not feel like continuing, maybe because I got too side tracked by all the side quests ? So, far I am enjoying my second attempt. Very beautiful game and great score (it does not have the spectacle and epic-ness of FF16, which I finished recently, So it is a rather big contrast). I am not sure whether I am interested in the story though. At the moment I am just surprised how unlikable most of the characters are which are supposed to help You in Your mission.
@OldGamer999
'Dig them a bit" (Sony) is probably a bit of an understatement - Im sure at one point you were selling your Pro (but I may have this confused).
But, I take the point - Some hate everything Sony does (yet still apparently buy their consoles and games according to comments here on a PS site?!) , some will defend everything they do - a bit of both is probably more healthy, and deserved.
Found myself sucked back into Yakuza: Like A Dragon, on the final chapter. I absolutely love this game, and Ichiban Kasuga has become one of my all-time favorite characters. Debating whether to immediately jump into Infinite Wealth after or branch out and try the Judgment series or one of the standalones; I'm waiting on Yakuza 0 Director's Cut to start Kiryu's story proper.
Other than that, my brother bought me Battlefield 6 as a late birthday present so I'll be hopping on there when it arrives!
About to wrap up Ghost of Yotei. Really enjoyed it, but kinda glad it's coming to an end (partially my own fault for hammering the side content).
Messing around with Tekken 3 - I do miss this era of the franchise.
BallxPit has piqued my interest so I'll try out the demo of that on Premium (somehow I'm still grandfathered on the half price and would be paying the same for Essential anyways, so I may as well keep it).
@Zuljaras
I really liked both RE2r and RE3r, though 2 was better in my opinion, both had their issues and their strong points. Neither felt like DLC at all - and if I remember correctly neither was full price either.
The 'B' scenario issue really hurts 2 and its replayability for me - if I pick it up to replay, I tend to only play 1 playthrough of either A or B - I should be wanting to play both an A and a B. This was meant to be the 'definitive' remake after all, and they messed up 1 of the originals defining features.
Both remain to this day excellent games, at least for me.
Power wash simulator 2, it took me far too long to realise that I can change the type of power washer 😂😂😂😂.
Helping my son to solve some community puzzles in Talos Principle Reawakening on PS5 (the Schrodinger Cat puzzle pack is quite good), and with his trek in Keeper on PC (he's playing, I'm... throwing suggestions from time to time if he gets stuck).
For myself... I'm a bit in between games right now, so it's nostalgia time until I find something better. Started some Serious Sam Fusion, with The First Encounter HD, loved those games back in the day.
Have a fun weekend everyone!
@naruball I couldn’t even get my family to try Absolum with me. Lol. It feels like that game was literally a flavor of the week on the internet and then most people dropped it. For me, I beat the game, but I lowered the difficulty, so that it was more comparable to like TMNT.
As for me, Katamari and Mortal Kombat on the Switch 2 if I find time, but I’ve been constantly working either for my job or home projects the last few weeks and I keep having to invest more time and more time. I’m sort of wearing out from it, but I’ve got no choice. Sometimes house projects need to happen and you just got to keep working on it, right? The only downside is sometimes one project becomes four then becomes twelve and so on and so forth. I’d like to play Arc Raiders, but I just don’t know if I’ll have time for it.
Update since last week 🙂
Ghost of Yotei - Finished and platinumed. Loved this game! The gorgeous world, the soundtrack, the gameplay, the story - even got some dust in my eye at the ending but then I had a window open so...... Brilliant game imo! Its a game I´ll be returning to every now and then and just take in the atmosphere and views and play the shamisen for a bit!
Battlefield 6 - having a blast with it and will for a long time. I even enjyed the campaign, but its no where near as good as a good CoD-campaign. I´ve done all the trophies except the grindy ones, which will take me a long time to get and I´ll enjoy every game along the way. Feels great to have a good Battlefield game again.
The Outer Worlds 2 - about 3 hours in an Im impressed, both with the game itself which is good fun so far and that it runs as good as it does on my poor old series S so I dont feel any need to get this on my Pro instead which is nice since we have GPU until december I think. (I should have finished bith this and the upcoming CoD campaign by then.)
Happy gaming!
@Rich33
Think you are correct.
A bit of both and when needed I guess 🤣
I get a-bit extreme sometimes, mainly about not being consumer friendly and sucking at our cash even more.
Then again I’ve spent probably about £5k with Sony this year upgrading etc. 🤣
So I guess I feel having a dig at them or £5k worth at least is earned.
I’m playing Dragon Quest 1 & 2 on PS5. The writers took the classic old English of the original Dragon Quest 1 to the next level. I’m enjoying the story so much, as simple as it is.
I’m playing sword of the sea today, really beautiful game so happy Sony helped out to get it finished. Will be going for platinum hopefully today as I want to dust off my PSVR2 to play Moss
Having finished Cronos: The New Dawn—amazing game, btw—I am now about 4 hours into Silent Hill f. I wasn’t sure how I felt at first, but then it just clicked and now I am absolutely hooked and loving it. Can’t wait to play today!
Battle
Field
Six
ahem
MORTAL KOMBAT!!!!!!!!
I got all achievements for Hogwarts Legacy on Xbox but it's nowhere near as satisfying as a good old platinum trophy ping.
I've started playing The Witcher 3 from the very beginning again. This game is 10 years old and, in my opinion, puts a lot of recent new games to shame.
This weekend I will not be attending a wedding—thankfully, I might add. However, I had an unfortunate accident two nights ago. I totaled my car by hitting a deer on my way home from work, so that is coming with its own set of stressors and awful back pain. With that said, this thread is about games that are being played, and thus I shall begin;
First and foremost, I’m playing Dragon Quest 1 & 2 HD-2D Remake (say that five times fast). Prior to its release I was thinking to myself, ”this HD-2D aesthetic is beginning to lose its charm”, and then lo and behold, this game releases and it’s visually breathtaking. It’s also been a huge pleasure to be in this world once again.
Dragon Quest has always been the ultimate comfort JRPG. Each time I defeat an enemy, or level up, and even save my progress, the jingle that plays always gives me a burst of dopamine. I’m not being factious - it warms my heart in an unexplainable way. And considering my circumstances, it’s needed.
In addition to DQ, no, not Dairy Queen, although that sounds delightful, I’m playing Absolum. Wow; what an incredible surprise. I typically enjoy rougelike(s), but they only hold my attention for few hours until I find a more structured narrative experience.
As much as I thoroughly enjoy my time with the likes of Hades 1 & 2, my issue stems with how the story is presented. The writing and characters are unbelievably well realized and developed, but the story unfolds by dying. While that may be the core essence of the genre, it becomes repetitive despite how good the gameplay is. Once the feeling of excitement for how new things seem, you eventually reach a point where you understand what you’ll stumble upon in the next room. Simply put, it loses its magic, at least for me.
With Absolum, while it features your common attributes in every rougelike, it plays more to its desired roots — a proper beat-‘em-up — but with a side scrolling adventure that feels like a condensed open world. There are secret paths to uncover, hidden chests, varying routes that can lead to intriguing side quests, and several characters to unlock. Dying may be part of its design, but runs last longer, giving me the sense of real progression.
All of this should be no surprise considering the studio that developed this game also made Streets of Rage 4, but this feels like a culmination of everything that Guard Crush Games is masterful at and dialed up to a 1000+ combo hit. What a year for the French; baiser du chef!.
I'm knee deep in Digimon Story Time Stranger and still loving it. I'm running what I call my Devils Rejects team: LadyDevimon, IceDeviemon and Lucemon.
I still enjoying Ghost of Yotei and will probably finish it in the next 2 weeks. My personal GOTY
Keep on keeping on gamers!
Still at it Resident Evil 3 Remake. Also playing Shinobi.
More Ghost of Yotei, it really is excellent.
Gave my wife a Switch 2 mid week as it was her birthday, so hopefully we will play mario kart world or donkey kong.
I took a punt on test drive solar crown as it was dead cheap and once you work past the cringe and accept the sub par map, theres actually quite a lot of fun to be had exploring the map.
Whatever you are playing this weekend, I hope you have fun!
I’ll be spending some time playing Borderlands 4. I’m pretty impressed with all the quality of life improvements in the game and while all of the Borderlands games tend to feel very ……. same-y, this iteration may very well be the best and most enjoyable one they’ve done. That said, the platinum hunt (if you’re a trophy hunter) looks to be a VERY long one as the trophy stack is rife with things like complete all missions, complete all side missions, complete all contratcs, find all areas and the grindy time sink of level all 4 vault hunters to level 50 which is hidden behind a different description altogether. Anyways, hope everyone enjoys whatever they’re playing this weekend!
Arc raiders. Such a fun game
Arc Raiders, V Rising and splatters of BF6. Rising and Ark are great and BF6 to scratch that itch. Dropped B4 for now after that terrible Halloween 'event'?!?!? Wtf was that all about lol.
Got the platinum for Ghost of Yotei last night. A rare thing for me to platinum a game, but this title was so great I wanted to do everything. Fantastic game!
I just started Outer Worlds 2. Fun so far, but I am just in the first mission.
On the say so of a couple of folk on here, Kingdom come deliverence 2. I'm addicted to it. I will probably play some retro gaming on my Miyoo mini too.
Finally finished Cronos. Great game, loved it, but I was ready to move on. For a slow game of that nature, it dragged on a bit too long.
Deep dived into the backlog for Oblivion remake, finally. I'm done waiting for patches. Its still a bit unpolished, but playable enough. I gotta say though, the graphics and animation are fantastic. And the music!
Playing the campaign on Battlefield 6-and I’m really enjoying it. Very action sided & also like how there’s freedom in the levels so that you can play however you want. Excellent so far.
Just about finished the New Game+ hard mode run on my way to the platinum for Cronos but realized last night that I messed up my essences earlier so I’ll have to replay a section of the game I wasn’t planning on. Good thing it’s awesome 😄 Happy gaming!
I decided to continue my save that I started July of 2024 for Metro Exodus. It's been a long while but I wanted to finally finish the game, so that's what I'll be playing.
Continuing my Dragon Age: The Veilguard playthrough, currently on chapter 10. Would I have liked a game more in line with the first Dragon Age? Of course, but I’m still enjoying this take on the franchise. At least the gameplay. The story is a bit too much unicorn and rainbows for my taste, I like my fantasy dark and gritty. The cartoony art style doesn’t help and Taash’s personal quest feels a bit too on the nose.
Oh well, it still scratches that RPG itch. Hopefully I’m finished in a month so I’m ready when Metroid Prime 4 drops!
Been working on Lost Planet 3.
So last weekend i continued with ghost of yoti, i was enjoying it but then started to get a bit bored with it so stopped playing it, think i will leave it till xmas break now and start it again, still tgink its good but dont think i was inthe mood for it. So i started Alan wake 2, never finished the first one and really enjoying this one, so will continue with that this weekend.
Also bought my self a mega drive and 10 games loving it this was the console i had growing up some amazing games. So continue wplaying some retro games.
I also got hitman so i can play it in VR done a bit so far and its great so far.
@Rich33 Yeah RE3R was still a good RE, much better than RE 6 imho. I'm not sure why Capcom didn't include a lot ot important stuff like boss, locations, and mercenaries mode from the original game. iirc their excuses was they had strict deadline but then why wasted the time & resources for Resistance mode that no one asked for? 🙄
I don't have problem with the scripted Nemesis and one ending though.
Sill Polly Beast, Yotei, and Call of Cthulu, again..
Just finished Until Dawn on PS5Pro - glad to say it got better towards the end and decent graphics & sound throughout. A nice recent addition to PS Plus Extra.
Wandered into town while my car was being fixed on Thursday and picked up CoD MW (2019) for £3 at CEX. I know a lot of people love to hate CoD, but I’m really enjoying the campaign so far (playing on Series X).
Have a good one all, happy gaming.
Resident Evil Village
Seem to be getting close to the end of my horror themed game of the month.
Playing Hall of Torment on your recommendation. Great game, only £7.99. Has a few issues with crashing but most progress seems to save.
X-COM 2 I am finishing up another run where I tried to be live with deaths, but ended up using space magic to ensure everyone's survival and now the team is overpowered. Also, I sadly played even more of Slay The Spire too. The games that absolutely CANNOT disturb me as I try to clear my backlog 😂
Divinity 2: OS So glad to have started this. A very fun and very deep RPG. The story, playing as a good The Red Prince is good. I still need to finish (and replay) BG3. My problem is that I alternate games a lot these days. Trying to clear both my backlog and the PS Plus library as a father is not feasible.
I actually alternated into Yakuza: Like A Dragon (a lot in here are playing it too right now!) which is just a fun crime story for me. The gameplay so far is weak, but I want to see what the game does as I have only played like 1/3 through a Judgment game, but is otherwise not exposed to this franchise. It feels like everything can happen and just now it pulled an Arthurian legend on me whilst being very self-referential about it being a rpg game.
PS5 - Ninja Gaiden 4, Tekken 3, Full Metal Schoolgirl, Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage
The Outer Worlds 2 is just amazing. It looks amazing, feels amazing to play, has all the charm/wit/sarcasm youd expect and it looks like the choices you make really matter. But about 4 hours in yesterday and the hooks are firmly in. But I'm leaving for Pittsburgh in like 30 minutes. Big game tomorrow lol.
@Eduard_Brenton
Haha love that one. Luigi Mansion 2 was my Halloween game and barely halfway
I'm currently level 9 in Outer Worlds 2 on a Very Hard run, and very much enjoying the game.
I have also completed one Master Horde as a trio in Gears 5 yesterday, and failed another on Wave 40 today. Plan is to have another stab at one tomorrow. Absolutely loving the challenge of having just 3 people in a mode that is supposed to have 5. Master is difficult with 5, so with 3 it is uber-hard...
@madmaxrules pumpkin costume is incredible and makes me hopeful they’ll add a few more costumes beyond the unlockables.
I’m mostly jumping between Donkey Kong Bonanza and Ghost of Yotei, but I’m seriously considering ARC Raiders even though I’m not big into multiplayer games.
Borderlands 3 (Series X) Finished Handsome Jackpot DLC so now I am starting Guns, Love, and Tentacles DLC. Currently Level 69 with Amara.
Dispatched (PC) Will be starting this game this weekend. I enjoy games like this and I have been looking forward to this game since I heard about it.
Dungeon Hunter 5 (Windows Phone) - Just starting this up and clearing the tutorial.
Twins (Windows Phone) - Back on this to finish up the last bonus levels.
Flowerz (Windows Phone) - Still enjoying my time with this. I'm nearing two-thirds of the way through it now.
Not really tied to any particular game at the moment. I decided to get the Switch out and play a bit. I honestly forget it's there. I picked up Xenoblade Chronicles at a local shop, and I have Fire Emblem Three Houses on the way. Also finally started Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance and have Trails in the Sky FC on deck.
Echoes of the Living released in early access on Steam yesterday - if he gets the map and saving issues fixed, $20 is a bargain for how excellent the demo was.
We're celebrating my son's 15th birthday this weekend - I think lots of Madden and Smash Bros will be happening when his buddies get here.
Have a good weekend, everybody.
@Nyne11Tyme Steelers/Colts? I'm not feeling good about that game at all as a Steelers fan.
Halls of Torment is scratching my fresh Vampire Survivors itch at the moment, so that's taking up most of my time this weekend.
@IntrepidWombat yup. Ive had season tickets since about 2010. Crazy to think its the first game the wife and I have been to in 7 years. Guess thats what having kids does lol. I dont feel good either. John Taylor is a man possessed. And Danny Dimes found a home
Witcher 3 for the forth time 🎉😂
Arc raiders they have to win some sort of award this year maybe sound design or best multiplayer
Please don’t think less of me, but I am going to load up Fortnite and check out the Springfield map for The Simpsons season.
I´ll be playing Last of Us Part 2 Remastered - actually returned back after few weeks because I just wasn´t in the right mood for this game, but now I´m ready. Not far in the game, playing Ellie day2 in Seattle...wondering about gameplay in Intergalactic too, really keen to watch some gameplay trailer finally.
Have a nice weekend and happy gaming, everyone!
@Nyne11Tyme Oh yes, absolutely. I think Tyler Warren is going to have himself a day. Tomlin has never been able to field a defense capable of covering elite tight ends over the middle. Yinz have fun, stay warm, and sing Renegade extra loud!
Fighting a late game boss in Ghost of Yotei. I’ve come really, really close to winning but just came up a bit short.
Played two rounds with different full squads of randoms in Helldivers 2 in which we took down a Hivelord (a giant acid spewing worm the size of a train, covered in armor heavier than that of a tank which is essentially the boss of wherever it is). There is a suborder for killing 50K of them and it looks like the community is going to achieve it with time to spare thanks in no small part to patriot exosuits being the bonus strategem. The major order for taking one of bug planets is still up on the air though because resistance is crazy high. I’ve seen a swarm of bugs force even squads of well armed Helldivers backwards because ammo is limited and reloading sometimes necessary. On a related note a big part of cave exploring is knowing when to retreat and rearm and/or find an alternate pathway.
I started Propagation Paradise Hotel. It’s clearly an indie game in terms of its visuals but it’s well designed and the controls feel great (it’s a motion controlled VR game which is very committed to its bit). I’m still early in but thus far it reminds me more of RE1 (suspenseful yet cheesy, some action but lots of exploration and light puzzle solving) more than either of the survival horror games I’ve played recently (Silent Hill F and Cronos).
All over BALLXPIT. Another fantastic "just one more run" game. Join the likes of Balatro, Inscryption, Monster Train and Slay The Spire in sucking my time - in a good way! Proof that you don't need fancy graphics and huge budgets. Plus another $20 (ish) (in Australia) game which, with budgets tight, is another huge plus. Great value.
@DrVenture69 totally agree 👍
Anima flux but still got Digimon story time stranger silent hill f n silksong ongoing but just bought inayah n tried post trauma with Xbox free weekend so might buy that too. Too many games to play 😂😭
Got the platinum in Yotei and should definitely be a GOTY contender, I personally have it after DS2 and Expedition 33. I fired up Sonic Frontiers and I’m absolutely loving it. The story is whatever but I’m enjoying just uncovering the map and doing all the challenges. Really digging the change of pace for the franchise.
Been absolutely loving silent hill 2 Remake!
Such an incredibly atmospheric game!
Will mostly be playing this for this weekend and maybe some metal gear delta. Konami have been on fire the last few years
Arc Raiders mainly (absolutely obsessed,) and Dead Cells on the Portal in my downtime.
Ghost of Yotei completed main story line after 56 hours .
I finished Ghost of Yotei up last night and got everything- all vanity items, all Ainu collectibles, all side quests, etc even though they weren’t necessary for the platinum. I literally spent an hour grabbing bamboo and flowers for future DLC as an excuse to play and roam the open world more. The flower fields and mountains are legit so damn gorgeous. My major gripe is that Oshima Coast felt very rushed like they just wanted to get the game out ASAP. It’s felt like that with the last region in Tsushima (but more so here).
I know people complain about remasters but… I’d be so down for a PS6 remaster of Ghost of Yotei. Atsu is a slow burn type of protagonist. I don’t think you’re supposed to love her at the start like you are with Jin Sakai.
By the end, I was fully invested and disappointed our time was up. I think potential DLC expansion is a lock focusing on flashbacks of Atsu’s time in the south and her current timeline return to the south (if they have her return). Sequel-wise? I think her story is should be over in that department.
I now begin my sp00ky season with RE3 Remake. I’ve never played it before so I’m pumped 😎😎😎
First playthrough of Resident Evil 3 Remake for me, too.
Playing indie games at the minute inside and carrion enjoying them inside is such a great game have a great weekend all
@Carnage Re: Yotei late game bosses. Friendly advice, if you want it:
I thought there was a jump in difficulty in the late game bosses and a side boss. Don’t forget to use the triangle/circle special moves! It interrupts whatever each boss is doing!
Once I remembered to use these, those fights were a lot easier.
@Westernwolf4 Thanks. I finally got past that boss.
Just platinumed Ghost of Yotei, been playing all weekend. Great game. Probably finish off the weekend with some Unreal Tournament 2004
@Carnage Nice!
