The UK is currently under siege from a storm, ushering in what feels like the start of winter and cold temperatures. As a result, there's never been a better time to fire up the PS5 and stay inside. Here's what'll keep us occupied this weekend.
Jamie O'Neill
I'm on a retro Namco fix after last week, and with seven weekends remaining in the year to appreciate new 2025 releases, Hamster has really delivered with Namco's coin-ops dropping on consoles this year, so I'm blasting through Arcade Archives NebulasRay.
Liam Croft
I'm playing Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 for review. After everything I've seen and read about the campaign, wish me luck!
Stephen Tailby
In addition to a game I'm currently reviewing, I'll be dipping in and out of the wonderful Lumines Arise.
That's what we're playing this weekend, but how about you? Share your picks in the comments below.

Sacred 2 Remaster shipment was delayed so ...
It is shooter weekend!
After DooM 3 last week I am continuing with DooM 2016. I am aiming for 100%
On the side I have Wolfenstein Youngblood (even if I heard that it is a bad game) and Painkiller (the original, the good one, not that crap they released recently) on the Steam Deck!
Have a great gaming weekend people!!!
Greetings fellow video game enthusiasts. I wrapped up Luigi’s Mansion 3 and now I’m playing Shinobi. I remember playing Shinobi on the Game Gear, the difference now is I can get past the first level.
So i started Black Ops 7 on GP - and it really as bad as everyone says. Truly awful. Dull even. After playing BF6 non stop, even the multiplayer is bad in comparison with its bigger than usual maps for just 6v6 players. A terrible game. The campaign is like Time Crisis without the light gun. And I've played every CoD game since the first on PC back in the day. Avoid.
I also finished Ninja Gaiden 4 on XBX - very good, old fashioned PS2 style of game. Im not ashamed to admit that I had to beat the 3 end bosses on Hero mode - hey, im old, im not the gamer I used to be !
Im also trying to clear my backlog so im on the very enjoyable Star Wars Squadrons on PS4.
Have a great weekend guys and gals ❤️
@Zuljaras ...I was thinking of the new Painkiller game. Loved the original years ago.....is the new one truly bad ?
I finished my first run of Silent Hill f last week and I need to take a little break from it before going back in for more.
But I don't wanna stop the survival horror train either so I'll be playing some Crow Country for a more retro take on the genre before picking up my trusty iron pipe once again~!
Have a great weekend everyone!
I'm going to give Where Winds Meet a go, I'm always open to some wuxia hijinks. On top of that I'll be continuing my Cyberpunk platinum run.
Battlefield 6 and Ball X Pit.
I still need to get the plat in FFVII Rebirth at some point too.
The new area - Stella Montis - is now open for business in ARC Raiders so that’s where I’ll be spending most of the weekend. The ARC are a step up and so is the loot, which means it’s the most tense area and the most rewarding… and the PvP is a notch up! Have a good weekend all.
Five hours in on Astro Bot Megamix Mastery. 👍😂
Replaying Hollow Knight while I’m waiting for the Silksong physical release
chugging away at disco elysium, out side of that nothing else.
Thinking of installing Bully. I loved it back on the ps2 and while putting a decent amount if time into it, I don’t think that I ever actually finished it. Really hope that it’s aged like a fine wine 🤞
@KingPev It is a flashy "modern" shooter with zero identity.
And let's not forget that if you buy the physical version, you cant even play it without online authenticating it first.
The old one (Painkiller Black Edition) + Overdose are peak!
I will be continuing with Fallout 4 and also playing Coral Island and Borderlands 4 Co-op. No doubt be playing more Arc Raiders as well!
Madison VR on PS VR2. Yes... its as scary as everyone says.
Finally I wrap up Cronos The New Dawn and prepare myself for NG+. This sits easily in my top 5 games for the year. It’s inspiring me to go back to finish SH2 Remake.
Still also going top side Solo in Arc Raiders since my mate is out of town and I’ve got no other friends to run amuck with. In addition I’m working on the platinum for BallxPit as I’ve got the last level and some characters to finish up.
When all is said and done Where Winds Meet and Shinobi are my next two adventures.
So much to play!
Enjoy the weekend all!
MH Wilds' animations is just crazy, can't stop repeating this. After playing exclusively for 40hrs, I can now pause a bit and continue the immersively superb KCD2, the lovely CP2077 - which we forget is a taste of GTA6. Might even go back to MHW Iceborne, still haven't met a lot of monsters.
Gran Turismo 7 PS4.
Forza Motorsport and South of Midnight on Series X.
Hyrule Warriors Age of Imprisonment on Switch 2.
Have a great weekend everyone.
Where Winds Meet
@Zuljaras yeah they were great ...think I might repurchase them for my Steam Deck.....ah maybe not, saying its Unsupported ?
Currently focused on Brilliant Diamond (Switch); on my way to getting the 3rd gym badge soon.
I now have 3 pokemon locked in for my story team (Mothim, Ambipom, and shiny Golduck (I stumbled upon as a Psyduck in the Grand Underground); currently breeding for a Chatot, might consider getting either a Mr. Mime or an Alakazam, and will later get a Lucario.
Also near the end of Lumines Arise' journey mode. I'm still very new to its gameplay, so I'll need to play the training mode more thoroughly afterwards.
Have a great weekend y'all!
Well I'm going to be totally predictable and play EA wrc,BF6 and Arc raiders although I did reinstall Grid legends as my mate has been nagging me to get back into it but in all reality it's going to be the incredibly addictive Arc raiders that wins out..Have a blinder of a weekend folks 👍
Played since last week 🙂
CoD Blops 7 - I was looking forward to a good CoD campaign, especially after last years Blops 6 that was great, but had completely missed that this year had some twist to the campaign - its online, co-op forced utter garbage that basically cant be played solo as you get no AI companions to fill empty spots so they are there on the radio and in the cutscenes but vanishes during actual gameplay. This was so ***** bad I uninstalled the ***** before even finishing the first mission since I had to take a quick break cause kids and when I got back I had gotten kicked to the start screen and would have to restart the whole thing since there are no checkpoints... 😂 Havent touched the mp so that might be good. I'll stick with Battlefield 6!
Battlefield 6 - so, I got the platinum!! 😃 Enjoying this game so much, I can see myself playing it regurlarly for a long time!
Alan Wake 2 - really been enjoying this one too! I've had some moments where I've felt my heart skip a beat but its on a level I can handle which is nice since the game is really good. Closing in on the last few chapters, hopefully finishing the game over the weekend. The We sing chapter was pretty epic!
Have a great weekend!
Playing Silent Hill 2 remake. I've always enjoyed Blooper Team games but this is definitely a step up for them, very good so far.
On PS5 i will be playing Borderlands 4, TLOU 2 Remastered and Digimon Story Time Stranger
On the Switch 2 it's more Hyrule Warriors Age of Imprisonment, Pokémon Legends Z-A and the Kirby Air Riders Global Test.
Finished FF13 platinum last weekend so more clean up on Death Stranding 2 connecting up all the facilities to 5 star. Going to start Alan Wake 2 next. Grabbed it off plus and then got the dlc packs for a bargain £4.20 in the sale.
On Playstation:
Assassin's Creed Shadows
Just assassinated the second Onryo with Naoe and completed Amagasaki Castle. Currently level 9. I'm usually a massive AC fan but not feeling it with Shadows just yet. The inability to control the day/night cycle is also annoying AF.
On other platforms:
1000xRESIST
Completed Chapter 2.
Ball x Pit
Completed the Bone Yard with the Cogitator, the Embedded, and the Empty Nester. Completed the Snowy Shores with the Repentant, the Embedded, and the Empty Nester.
The Legend of Zelda
Completed the sixth dungeon. Currently at 14 hearts.
Just got Core Keeper and really enjoying it. On sale for about £9.50 at the moment and highly recommended.
Unfortunately I bought the PS4 version by mistake, and despite not playing it, downloading it meant I couldn’t get a refund so I could buy the PS5 version. The Bot Sony now uses since their “wonderful” policy change of allowing refunds automatically (as long as never downloaded) now does not let you go to a human as it used to, just a bot message saying “I don’t understand, this is what the rules are, ***** you”
So yeah, playing the PS4 version due to Sony’s terrible customer service, but hopefully with a game like this it isn’t too different.
Also got Dyschronia and enjoying that in VR. Plus 7th Guest.
V Rising - it's an awesome crafting survival game and it's free in PS+ Extra catalog!
Ghost of Yōtei Around 60 hours in and have only just killed the third of the Yōtei six!
The outer worlds 2 I never really got into the first game, but after a slow start the sequel is growing on me. Have just spent half the morning trying to sneak into the Vox relay station…and now I’m in!
EA FC26 This is the first FIFA/FC game I’ve bought in years. After hearing about the “authentic” mode of play I decided to play the trial and then subsequently bought the game. I still think there are defending and AI issues (I only play offline, in career mode) but on the whole I’m enjoying it.
Lumines arise Bought and downloaded, and hope to give it a proper play over the weekend.
Winter burrow Just started playing this on Gamepass. I don't usually do survival games, but this is a “cozy” survival game, and it’s hard not to fall for it’s charms 😊
@SpecialT GT7 is awesome, but best played on psvr2, just saying.
@KingPev I play GOG games on my Steam Deck. And Painkiller needs a Launch Option in its Properties menu:
"PROTON_USE_WINE3D=1 %command%"
That way it will be in full screen mode
I’m playing Persona 5 royal, which I’m aiming to complete before the end of the year and before any sales come looking my way…….my poor purse 😅😂
@TheKurgan I still haven't done it. Not sure I ever will 🙈 it's too long to do all in 1 go for me 🤣
Plenty of Elden Ring Nightreign for me this weekend with a serving of Battlefield 6 to go with it.
I restarted Horizon Forbidden West on Tuesday so I'll crack on with that I think
I'm finally getting to play the Outer Wilds after all these years and can tell after only a few hours this is going to be a very special game and experience. Managed to avoid all spoilers too over the years.
Completed Alan Wake 2 last week and achieved my first platinum. It was pretty simple and was surprised I didn't get a trophy for playing through on hard mode. A fantastic game but slightly bloated. Maybe that's because I've played AW1, Control, AWE and AW2 back to back.
Reading through the AW2 credits I was quite surprised that neither David Lynch nor Twins Peaks where listed under "Special Thanks". While I love what remedy are doing it would be nice to see a different direction in their next game that isn't influenced so heavily by other artists work. It's a fine line between influence and plagiarism.
As for the Outer Wilds performance in case anyone's interested - playing on dynamic mode 60fps on a C4 oled VRR. Looks really good with only a few stutters here and there. I bought it originally on the switch and glad I never played it as it looks a blurry mess compared to the pro (spoiler) missing the 30fps often. While I would have not let this stop me for enjoying the game (it was my only console at the time) I could not for the life of me fly and land the craft using a pro controller. I'm new to playstation and I did not realise until this game the difference adaptive triggers make.
Finishing up the Platinum for Yotei so i'm free for Stalker 2 next week.
After finishing Stray (PS+) far to quickly. I did not quite know what to play. I still haven't finished Ghost of Tsushima, but tried Of Lies and Rain on Psvr2. I really liked the demo, but somehow did not get into it. I stopped just a little bit further after the end of the demo and played some more Reach on "Psvr2, which I actually really enjoy. I am currently trying to find the collectibles, but have a hard time to find even half of them. And I also played some Beat saber and Tetris Effect on Psvr2, which are still awesome games.
I will continued playing one of the best video games ever made in the amazing ghost 👻 of tsushima director cut.jin sakai is one of the best protagonist ever.the gameplay. The graphics. The boss fights. The soundtracks is amazing.i will also be continued playing one of my favorite video games ever in the incredible fallout 4 game of the year edition. @gaston
What isn’t?
Playing:
The physical copy for this game became rare. I searched for second hand but not a single local sellers have it. So i bought a brand new copy for $23 after i asked 3-5 online sellers and only 1 had it. It's worth it though.
This game not just really fun and the 2D sprite looks gorgeous but it's also quite challenging. My ass got kicked even with Easy difficulty. It took me like 1-2 hours with many continues to beat Normal difficulty. Now i'm trying to beat Normal and Hard difficulty without a single continue. I really reccomend it for anyone who wants to play a really fun but challenging shooting gallery 👍👍
It's quite sad how underrated this game is. The setting is quite unique but the combat mechanics is really fun and innovative, imho a lot more innovative than current turn-based RPG's like Expedition 33, Baldur's Gate 3, or Metaphor that it feels like they didn't took any risk to innovate but somehow got a lot of huge praised. I think Resonance of Fate are in top 3 for Tri-Ace best game.
Anyway. This game has been sitting on my backlog for quite long. Years ago i reached Chapter 9 but my PS3 HDD was broken and wiped out the save files 😔. So now i want to finish it. Currently at Chapter 2, on the way to Hughes Power Station.
Outside gaming, i'm currently watching Last Samurai Standing. Just finished with episode 1 and it was great. Anyone who wants some samurai live action that looks kinda similar to Samurai X, i think this show is worth the shot.
Have a great weekend everyone 🍻
@gaston I'm sure it is. Alas don't have a PS5 and VR2 thingy
I’m going to be playing move furniture back into my living room and my daughter’s room after finishing painting and installing floors. I threw my sofa away, so when I do hook my consoles back up… I have nowhere to sit. I will be playing “search for a new sofa” after that. I’d like to say I’ll be settling down to play Yotei, but I don’t quite know if I’ll have time. All I can guarantee is that, in the absence of having my console games to play while I move stuff, Balatro on my phone will say hi.
Not Black Ops 7
Where Winds Meet. I only got to create my character and played for about an hour. I'm off tomorrow. I plan on diving in.
Probably not much this weekend. May try and get my weekly races in on GT7 and a little bit of EA WRC or Elden ring but I'm working until 12:30 then going to the cinema to watch Predator, watching the boxing tonight then leaving for Manchester early tomorrow morning with my 14 year to take her to her first gig, The Offspring!! Its a busy one so it much free time.
Days Gone Remastered and some Stellar Blade. Have a good weekend all!
I've dealt drugs in Schedule 1, and then felt like I used all said drugs myself by playing Mouthwashing.
I'm still working my way through Vagrant Story. It's systems are convoluted and impenetrable; it's pacing is slow and either ponderous or methodical depending on your point of view; it treats the player almost with disdain in how little tutorial it gives on its mechanics. By all rights I should have bounced off this (I have so. many. games in my backlog), yet I can't leave it alone. I sit down meaning to just play for an hour and then find myself still there 3 hours later having lost track of time because I've been so engrossed. There's some magic ingredient in the game that is just plain addictive. It reminds me a lot of a tabletop board game. So that's what I'll be playing this weekend!
I also bought the Creaks/Machinarium bundle in the sale. I played Machinarium years ago on my PC and it's still one of the best point and clicks I've ever played. Looking forward to playing Creaks when I can tear myself away from VS.
Have a great weekend folks.
@mac_da_man ...yep BLOPS 7 is truly dire. Believe me, the multiplayer is severely lacking after BF 6
@somnambulance ...ah, the Game Of Life (Remastered) 🤣🤣 enjoy
@Zuljaras ...perfect, thank you !
It will be taking part in the incredible social experiment that is Arc Raiders
This week and weekend, I am trying to get far into Banisters: Ghost of New Eden on PS5 Pro.
It has been optimized for the pro and looks amazing. I am juggling two playthroughs: one good and one bad in terms of choices.
I started and got far into it on the portal, but I like how the improved visuals on Pro really accentuates the strengths of this game. The excellently optimized Performance mode has made me a believer in frames per second actually mattering a lot. I cannot see a difference in the actual fidelity betweens graphics and performance mode, so choose that!
The art direction is really great, as is combat, but the enemy variety is slightly thin and the game is about the right size for this kind of rump.
9/10 so far! (Made it to the swamps)
@PuppetMaster I took a while (and some tutorials) to get into Resonance of Fate's combat system, but once it clicked it was a lot of fun.
Still hooked on arc raiders. So will play a bit of that this afternoon then off for a few drinks tonight, hopefully not too rough tomorrow so i can play more.
@TimeDelayedGamer Yeah Vagrant Story combat & weapon mechanics are quite complex and could give you a big headache if you don't have enough patience. But once you fully understand and mastered the mechanics, it's just super fun to play.
One thing that i reccomended to do:
you need at least 3 weapons in your disposal
You can upgrade the elements that increased damage against human, beast, undead, phantom, dragon, and evil enemies.
I've beaten Vagrant Story like eons ago. I think i spent around 30-40 hours with the game. So good luck mate 👍🍻
@rusty82 I'll give it another few hours 😂 I can speedrun 80% of it now so almost there! 😂
Installed Where Winds Meet so plan to try it over the weekend. Im currently playing Death Stranding 2 and Ghost Of Yotei on the Pro and Outer Worlds 2 on Series X. I plan to get Dispatch soon as that art style reminds me of Invincible
@Perturbator Yeah the combat mechanics needs some time to get used to and later there's a pretty high difficulty spike too. Some bosses was quite nasty lol.
It's the reason why i keep visiting Arena to refresh my understanding about the mechanics and also play Battle Challenge which i think quite important not just for the nice rewards but also for experimenting what's the best strats to approach some enemies.
This weekend my time is spent obsessing on Hades 2. I played this quite a bit when it released on the Switch, but I got burned out during the 20-hour mark and took a lengthy break. I’m now 50+ hours deep and won’t be pausing any time soon.
It may sound embarrassing, but I have yet to complete a single run, but I’m okay with that due to its rich story strong narrative and characters. It’s truly astonishing that this game can have so much content. I’ve yet to encounter a single repeated line of dialogue between character interactions, and each person is fully developed, with excellent voice acting to provide an extra layer of immersion.
To simply put, Hades 2 is easily going into my pantheon of exceptional games, possibly in the top five. I’m not sure how Supergiant exceeded expectations, but they are a master of their craft. Every game they make is top tier, and better than the last. I can’t wait to see their next project. Until then, welcome to the GoTY discussion my indie darling.
And I’m now patiently waiting for one of my most anticipated games in years: Demonschool. Only a few more days to go.
Got back into the Dark Souls 3 playthrough I started ages ago. Just approaching the Nameless King and then it's DLC time
I finally completed my Legend of Heroes journey by finishing Daybreak 2 this last week. I am now completely caught up with the series. So what do I do to celebrate, I start Trails in the Sky FC Remake. Honestly, the battle system is kind of a breath of fresh air. You get the free move system Daybreak added, but with no weird SCM positioning constraints, no Boosts required for S-Breaks, everything is simple and open, at least in the early going.
Played a bit of where winds meet this morning it's pretty good so far. I'll also continue with YS Monstrum Nox and probably some Battlefield 6 later on with my mate.
Playing Days Gone (PS4) before my PS Plus runs out, which Ive had in my backlog since like 2021. Was noticing that (per PSNProfiles) the PS4 release has a higher recent player count than the PS5 remaster. Guess the remaster wasn’t a success.
Hello again, y'all! This weekend I'm playing:
Switch:
Animal Crossing New Horizons: going to dump some more time into this one to celebrate the upcoming launch of the January 2026 update. I'll probably also let my younger sister play more with my supervision.
PS4:
Super Neptunia RPG: all of my party members are now in the early 40s in terms of level. I'm just grinding experience and doing a few sidequests before moving on with the story. Current number of trophies: 21
I haven't played anything for a bit. Need to jump back into Silksong. Focusing more on reading (just started Dungeon crawler carl). I'm on an anime binge. I've only 7 episodes left of Demon Slayer, before im all caught up and have to wait for the movies. I also picked up my favourite all time t.v. show on blu-ray (Farscape) can't wait to start watching that again 😀.
Have a great weekend everyone.
@PuppetMaster Cheers for the advice. Slowly getting to grips with the mechanics and really loving it. Just wish there was a menu shortcut to switch weapons - going into the full menu to do it each time gets a bit tedious.
Call of ..Satisfactory, lots and lots of Satisfactory. On last count I built x45 power plants, x6 cement factories, 2 quartz sites, 7 copper mines, x9 iron factories, x2 steel factories and so much more. This is still early game too, it's not the kind of game you rush. My main facility keeps expanding as it undergoes all kinds of modifications. I'm trying to plan ahead for trains too, yes the game has trains. You can build stations and program them to load and unload materials and components. The same for drones, which are more late game. I never thought I'd be playing it on console or that I'd shelve my PC world.
One of the many power stations. That ones has x38 generators and puts out enough wattage to run most of the main facility. It's a simple enough process, the generators take a mix of coal and water and the miner just needs a jump-start from an existing power source then you are good to go.
The main facility itself. It snakes across the map connecting to sites where materials are already processed meaning if I need a component or resources I just have to head there. It has another new two floors since last week and I'd estimate another five might be needed.
A small part of the basement level. It contains all of the various assemblers and constructors needed to make more advanced components. I always put the guts of the build in the lower levels then feed all of the components up into rooms full of massive containers. Those spools of copper wire are being assembled into cables. I want to start building motors soon too, I need vehicles. Those can also be programmed, you can drive a route then have the AI repeat it for even more automation. So far it's run like a dream on console. That's about it, happy gaming folks ☕
@The_Elder Isn't it brilliant? I was hoping people weren't sleeping on it. The Devs have done a lot to improve the console experience. Not that it was bad at launch, they've just put a lot of effort into ironing out any bugs and improving performance (especially when you build a massive castle) I had so much fun secretly raiding friends when they went offline. They were convinced another clan did it, for about 2 weeks. I watched the revenge plot grow by the day. Good times.
Starting back up into the Trails series - I'm about 20 hours into Trails into Reverie. The game is hitting its stride, finally. I'll probably finish the Sky FC Remake after that before diving into Daybreak I & II. Horizon will be out by then, which I'll grab day one, but I'll likely be gearing up for RE9 at that point.
Have a great weekend, everybody.
Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden. One of my new top 10 favorites! Can’t hype this game enough. Sadly, I don’t know a single other gamer who’s played it.
@KingPev I prefer the remake. Lol
@Marquez I love when they add these community things to games. Gave me some incentive to play more. But damn, when I’m stacked and then some clowns ambush me, I end my play right there. Hurling an $80 controller at a $5,000 TV is uncouth.
@GirlVersusGame awesome gameplay aside, the performance on PS5 (Pro) and UI adaptation for controller is fantastic!
As for multiplayer, I can imagine it must be epic fun! Unfortunately my friends play it on PC and there's no crossplay... 🥺
@AhmadSumadi Oh I know that feeling!
I find that 1) going in solo and 2) sticking to Dam Battlegrounds and Buried City for loot runs means it's all pretty griefer-free. Blue Gate, Stella Montis - or anywhere when you are in a trio - shoot first, ask questions later. Every time.
Great that the game has that range of experience though and I hope it continues.
Now Ive finally finished the wonderful Yotei, Im looking for something new to commit some time too.
I haven't even looked at the new Mario Kart or Donkey Kong on switch 2 yet, so maybe its time.
Id also like to play Outer Worlds 2 on series x..
But I have Miles Morales installed on the ps5...
Does anyone else have committment problems after finishing an epic title like Yotei?
Whatever titles you're playing this weekend, I hope you have fun.
Finished Kirby and the Forgotten Land. There are fun great moments but then there are some stages that tend to be overly long but the gameplay is too repetitive for that. So it tends to drag. It's also kinda too easy, only the true final boss poses any real challenge. But abilities are awesome to use, and it has a neat variety of little things to do which I like
And I also started up Tales of Graces F. Been wanting to play this one forever and it does not disappoint. Absolutely love the characters and the dialogue. Story starts off pretty troupey but there's never a dull moment yet at least. And the style of the game is gorgeous
Started Pop the lost crown. I have beaten the first boss. Never played much metroidvania's but this one could get me into the genre.
A couple of rounds of Hell let loose.
I also started Silent Hill 2 remake. Didnt play much because the framerate is everywhere.
Tomorrow ill be going to the release show of Psychonaut. Looking forward to that.
Have a great weekend!
@PuppetMaster Loved Resonance of Fate, i think it was quite niche though so is relatively unknown which is a shame. It was quite tough to learn the rather unique battle mechanics, but a joy to behold on screen when mastered.
Currently playing Where Winds Meet, only a couple of hours in but like what I've seen so far. Very impressive for a f2p and the only in game purchases are for cosmetics, no p2w elements. Shame about the social chat channels though atm, full of the kids who write reviews on xbox. That's the only downside so far with it being f2p.
Last week I said after Like A Dragon, I wanted to branch out a little in RGG's catalog before Infinite Wealth and booted up Judgment. That didn't last long lol! I missed Ichiban, Nanba, Adachi, and Saeko too much so I just went straight into Infinite Wealth.
On Chapter 3 right now and so far, I'm loving it and happy to be back. The refined combat is interesting; I enjoy the new positioning and knockback system but perfect guard timing has been weirdly tighter? It may be because I've been playing on the Portal for the majority of my time, but I'm still enjoying it regardless!
Riding the winds of revenge through the land of Ezo.
Happy gaming!!
Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves and Street Fighter 6.
Started warhammer bolt gun enjoying it so far and silent hill 2 remake let's see how the both go i need a rest from epic games after the incredible cyberpunk the ending to phantom liberty is not something ill forgot in a hurry
I’ve taken a break from Borderlands 4 for a bit to play Black Ops 7. It’s a solid well made game and certainly has its moments but it’s…….. lifeless and same-y…… pretty much what I’ve accused the Borderlands series of being. Honestly, after only 24 hours with it, I’m considering just going back to Borderlands 4 which has proven to be quite fun and easily the best one since BL2.
Hope everyone has a great weekend gaming!
This weekend i dip into the collection to finish off some games I 50%'ed, then put on the shelf. So gonna try and finish Lost Records: Bloom and Rage. It doesn't quite hit as hard as Life is Strange did back then, but there's enough DNA from that game to still make it great. I like it alot.
Hitman WOA on PSVR2... Gonna kill me some CEO's
Oh and after being late to the party on Hallow Knight, after seeing all the hype Silk Song got, HK gave me a newfound interest in metroidvanias. I never looked at that genre prior. So I picked up Blasphemous 2 on sale for $12 a few days ago. Its great
Hoping to play ALOT of Ghost of Yotei this weekend and get close to finishing it I'm 64hrs in and only 2 of the Six are I the ground. I tried out the Octopath Traveler 0 demo for a little bit but I'll go back to it later. The Voice acting sounded very compressed to me.
Have a great weekend folks!
@Dan12836666 Phantom Liberty was soooo good wasn't it!? I played the base game when it first launched, before all the patches and fixes. It didn't run too bad for me, passable. Then shelved it, but got Phantom over the summer, late to the party. Hands down the best DLC i've ever played
Labyrinth of refrain, or some more Witcher 3, depends on where the mood takes me
@StitchJones ye I shelved cyberpunk when it first came out didn't like it at all love it now though games great ye the dlc is incredible them choices at the end of dlc are awful
Absolutely addicted to Arc Raiders. It’s just so good, every run is unique as well as encounters with other raiders who are mostly friendly but sometimes you gotta do what needs to be done. Only thing is two trophies are currently glitched but I can see myself getting the platinum for this game. On the side is a little Hirogami which the late levels are surprisingly challenging. Just picked up Dispatch so plan on starting that also if I can pull myself away for Arc.
@Dan12836666 I agree. The whole world, characters, missions, story is just brimming with life and charm. I'm biased because I love the cyberpunk theme for everything and feel we don't get enough Cyber themed games. So I can't wait to see what they do with the sequel. But will Wicher being years away, Cyberpunk 2 may end up being a ps7 game lmao. Its so sad, these games take way too long to develop. Its just crazy to think that a sequel to cyberpunk may be a whole decade away
@StitchJones I know I loved it in the end one of my favourite games of all time well im excited for the witcher 4 I adored witcher 3 more than cyberpunk so i can't wait for that game when it arrives who knows when?
@AhmadSumadi I loved that game so emotional as well brilliant game hike theres a sequel
Just about to give the nod for Cerys to be queen of Skellige in The Witcher 3.
@GirlVersusGame And the name of the game is?
Trying to get in a groove with Assetto Corsa Rally. As far as early access goes it plays really well.
@Michael2008ish Satisfactory. It's about £40 on the store.
@GirlVersusGame lol sorry, thought you were just satisfied with it 😅
@Dan12836666 yes! If this game advertised, it would’ve been a hit! Sadly, I don’t think it moved enough units to justify a sequel.
@ApostateMage as she deserves! 🫅
I finished Enotria last night, it's a fun souls-like, not the worst I've played but not the best.
Now I'm debating what to play next. I want to play Expedition 33, but I want to start Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, but I also want to try Middle Earth Shadows of War cause I played the first game years and years ago. But I also want to try Tunic.
Way too many choices lol.
Well, didn’t think I’d be on ARC Raiders this much this weekend. But alas, here we are… 🤷🏾♂️
Not much time to play games today. We went to Liverpool comic con and got to see Emilia "Khaleesi" Clarke. My son who has been dealing with a brain tumor, was especially excited to see her, as he was aware that she went through her own serious brain trauma too. And she was just as lovely in person. I also got to see the main voice actors from Baldurs Gate 3, which was awesome. And at least linked to gaming too. Haha But my sons were ultimately more excited to meet Dave McCormack and Melanie Zanetti, who some may be aware voice Bandit & Chilli from the TV show Bluey!
Late to the party today, but after my marathon “Every OG Doom Map Pack” run, I got Prodeus. I spent about the first 2 hours thinking, man I don’t like this, no saving during the levels, twitchy aiming, but then I suddenly clicked with it. It’s a damn good little shooter with lots of secrets. I also finished Inscryption which I absolutely loved, cards and weird metagame game
I too have been playing little else but Satisfactory, and it's great, though my efforts pale in comparison to those screenshots above. I'm trying to cobble my way along with minimal help from Wikis and no experience (that's my excuse). I especially like the way you get all your resources back when you deconstruct stuff, and that nothing catastrophic happens if your machines stop - you can just play at your own pace.
Lumines Arise. Fantastic game.
@Zuljaras I’ve still got my day 1 release 3 disk boxset of Painkiller from 21 years ago . Fantastic shooter, feels brilliant, huge hordes, great power ups and millions of secrets. One of my favourites!
@DrVenture69 And amazing atmosphere. "The Town" from the original and "The Orphanage" from the expansion Battle out of Hell are just perfect!
Equalicious (Windows Phone) - Hooked on puzzle game for now. So I started on this one as well.
Angry Birds Classic (Windows Phone) - Also going to work through the bonus levels on here now.
Flowerz (Windows Phone) - At the last part of the game now. Then deletion and onto the next WP game.
Grey Cup 112 is tomorrow, so I'll have to cheer for Saskatchewan Roughriders to trounce the Montreal Alouettes
I will finish Stray, which has been super enjoyable.
Another chapter of As Dusk Falls - i quite like the graphic novel style tho swiping the QTE doesn't always seem to work. Probably user error!
Will try to get back into Silent Hill 2. But I think I have worked out finally I don't really like 3rd person horror. Much prefer FPS as with RE Village and so pleased that is the option for Requiem
My daughter will want some game time so will probably do a few Overcooked levels.
Have added Where Winds Meet to catalogue but sceptical and will probably wait till new year to have a look
Borderlands 3 (Series X) I am about to wrap up the Guns Love and Tentacles DLC. Seriously this games DLC is way better then the main story.
Dragon Quest XI S (Switch) Finally grabbed this game on Switch as it was on sale. Such a beautiful game and perfect to play before bed each night.
@Zuljaras That orphanage is so creepy
@AhmadSumadi Nice! I have Banishers in my backlog, from a Humble Bundle I think. Game looks pretty interesting, even if it apparently didn't sell much (Sadly the story of many games these days).
@AhmadSumadi This is my 4th playthrough and she's got my vote every time.
I’m finally on Season 2 of Zenless Zone Zero, episode 1 complete, I’m grinding both Ju Fufu and Yidhari which I just pulled recently.
Later on I’ll be playing Marvel Rivals season 5 trying out Gambit♥️♦️♠️♣️
(On my PS5)
@AhmadSumadi ye it probably wont which is sad
Still plugging away at KCD2. Might put the side missions away for now and finally plough on with some more story quests.
Bit of career mode on Fc26 also to keep me entertained
@deadfred77 That's one of my favorite features too. A lot of crafting games give you 100% of the materials back but only if you tweak the settings and that feels like cheating. It's the ultimate game to go at your own pace through. The only tool I used in the beginning was a notepad and a pen, if I could make it work on paper I knew it would work in the game. Now it's gotten a little crazy, this is tonight's build. It's going to need another power plant just to handle all of the assemblers and constructors. There are other ways to generate power, I just haven't unlocked them yet and I'd rather not spoil it for you.
Also some tips that you may or may not know: If you highlight something you placed you can press square to copy it, if you highlight something in the build menu (after pressing L1) you can use triangle to hot-key things (up to I think 10 quick wheels) if you hold down R1 and tap left on the d-pad you can activate your flashlight. Build and use the Awesome Sink asap, you can turn dead spiders etc into proteins (through the crafting bench) then into DNA capsules. If you feed those capsules to the sink you'll get a lot of coupons fast. The MAM is something to focus on too, it unlocks all kinds of gear and extra slots, the rebar gun is particularly useful for monsters. Also if you have a problem with spiders (some people do) you can switch to arachnophobia mode, they then become cats (not my picture)
@TimeDelayedGamer True. Kinda weird there's a shortcut for chain abilities, break arts, or magic by pressing L2. But there's no shortcut to swap weapons. If someday SE make a remaster, i hope they put weapon shortcut.
@Michael2008ish It'a nice to see some people in PushSquare recognized and enjoyed Resonance of Fate 😊🤝
And yeah it got niche to unknown status because Sega didn't throw a good marketing behind it. And they also released it a week after FF XIII came out when people are still hype with FF XIII 🤦♂️
Finally started No Man's Sky with my PSVR2, living out my childhood fantasies ^^
Still somehow into the tutorial as I had a harder time adjusting to the commands than I thought I would but, so far so good, very happy and, as it turns out, the psvr2 controller's battery life somehow match my VR tolerance for now.
I finished Last of Us Part2 remastered few days ago, did some runs in No return mode but this is not really my cup of tea. Last of Us part2 still masterpiece imho, love the gameplay and just hope we'll get part3 someday in the future.
On nostalgia train I installed Uncharted 3 remastered, not in mood for long games atm. And also trying The Witness, got reviewed 9/10 here on Push□ so let's see, long time did not play something like that.
My next BIG thing to play gotta be Ghost of Yotei but probably during Xmas holidays.
Have a nice weekend and happy gaming, ya'll!
on PS4 it's Black Ops 6 & Fortnite and on PC it's Delta Force & Blue Protocol: Star Resonance.
@Zuljaras It's nifty to see that you own a physical copy of Panic Button's Switch DOOM (2017), although I never snagged myself a physical cartridge of that game.
I've treated myself to the Switch version of Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus (2018), as I've just bought its SteelBook Edition from Limited Run Games. It's only available for a few more hours, because the pre-orders end on Sunday 16th November.
I love how Bethesda, MachineGames and Panic Button worked together to release technically challenging games on the relatively underpowered Switch, and both of these ports featured in Nintendo Life's The "Impossible" Nintendo Switch Ports YouTube video back in 2019.
Arc Raiders, I just can’t stop. The experiences I’m having have been glorious, just so damn good.
@JamieO I got all of the DooM games except for DooM The Dark Ages and I think you know why
Played;
Remnant 2
Nioh 2
Nier: Automata
Halo Wars: Definitive Edition
Tomb Raider (2013)
on weekend...
I played through five chapters of the Until Dawn Remake on the Portal, certainly enjoying the overhaul this got compared to the original.
@4fold Indeed! All games should have VR versions.
