It's just a week until Resident Evil Requiem releases, so we're sure many of you are in a holding pattern until then. Here's what we're playing this weekend.
Jamie O'Neill
We're into the second month of my New Year's resolution to play 12 PS5 games in 2026, which aren't available on PS4, so for February it's Arkane Studios' Deathloop.
Sammy Barker
Having completed most of the new content in Honkai: Star Rail, the live service churn continues for me: I'm playing the main quest in Zenless Zone Zero.

A blissfully brief WAYP this week, but they can't all be epics every time. What are you playing this weekend? Let us know below.

This weekend more Diablo II Reign of the Warlock (finally got my Enigma!) and Reanimal. On the side I will have The Messenger.
Next weekend and week will ALL be occupied with Resident Evil Requiem!
Have an amazing weekend everyone!!!
Finally finished AI Limit. A good souls like and honestly one I’ll go back to. Beyond that spending some time with Crisol Theatre of Idols. What an atmospheric Bioshock meets Resident Evil style game! I’m going to love it I can tell even if it is janky. And of course Romeo is a Dead Man has also been consuming my time. It’s my favorite Suda so far.
Lastly, Arc Raiders and maybe I finally get Nioh 3 and begin my journey. We shall see! With Requiem around the corner I’m torn on waiting or diving in!
Missed top by 25 seconds! Lol
I’m still neck deep into NiOh 3, working my way to the platinum trophy. It’s been such a tantalizing experience, and scratches that Elden Ring itch. By that, I mean its open world design. I prefer this approach to the genre because the difficulty of formidable bosses can be overwhelming. Being able to go somewhere else, explore, and level up gives you the feeling of always making strides to improvement.
That said, the final boss for the first region, Takeda Shingen was the bane of my existence. There were moments I contemplated whether or not victory was even fractionally possible. My death count was approximately 25 times, and my head hanged low before I had to go to work for the day. Prior to him, the (boss) fights had been challenging, but my confidence grew with each attempt. Nine hours later, I arrive home from work, and tell myself that I can beat him. Once again numerous deaths. And then I learned a pattern. Though I still died I was consistently getting him to the halfway mark. And then I learned another pattern. And another. Two attempts later, I beat him.
Sometimes, you just need to take a step back for a while. You have to realize that this is just a video game, and it can be beaten. Once I didn’t let the enemy frustrate me, toy with my emotions, and make me play defense, reacting for sheer survival rather than be offensive minded and focus on positioning, I knew I could do it. There is no other feeling like adrenaline. Subsequently, the next main boss I encountered I was victorious on the first attempt.
Meanwhile, during my lunch break at work, I read the news that Xenoblade Chronicles X got a Switch 2 upgrade; I downloaded it as soon as I could. It’s nearly been a year since I’ve last played — I have forgotten the controls and sole core mechanics. I’m debating whether I want to start a fresh playthrough, or boot up my save file that has 120-hours logged, and get accustomed to the systems again. I will probably choose the latter, knowing I more than likely won’t finish it if I start anew.
Real life Power Wash Simulator (washing my car).
Real life FC26 (watching the football).
And a whole load of Slime Rancher because my kids are obsessed with it and now we own it on three consoles so we can play at the same time.
In honour of Bluepoint Games, ive finally started Demons Souls and its as brilliant as ever. Been in my backlog for years but I played the PS3 version around 5 times back in 2010 on release. It will forever be in my top 10 of all time. The PS5 version is just as brilliant and stunning to look at. Playing as a Royal and making surprisingly good progress and making light work of the bosses so far. That muscle memory kicking in.
Have a great weekend guys and gals ❤️
Wrapping up some Special Support Section requests through Crossbell in the amazing Trails to Azure! This game is peak after everything that was build up in Trails from Zero.
The way it also actually set up certain plot points for the upcoming series is nice. Man I can't wait to see the credits roll and make my way to the next arc.
Have a great weekend all!
Dragon Quest II HD-2D Remake: Completed DQI in about 15.5 hours and have spent that same amount of time really just completing the first third of the sequel. It's cool how spells and abilities are divvied up between the party, of whom my favorite is definitely Matilda for her feisty passion and witticisms. The already gorgeous visuals are improved even further and the scope is quite impressive (seeing the entire first game's map fit into roughly one-quarter of this one gives you an idea how much bigger of a game this is). Looking forward to closing out the Erdrick trilogy in style.
Spiderman 2 and A little to the left.
Have a great weekend!
This weekend I shall be continuing with Transformers: War for Cybertron. Second playthrough, and still having an absolute blast with it. I'm tempted to launch straight into Fall of Cybertron after this, as I've heard that's even better.
Also still playing Patapon in my spare moments.
Have a great weekend.
@Kienda ill bring my car round for you to wash too....think of it as a multiplayer / co-op game 😉
A lot of Halo Infinite this Weekend for me.
Happy gaming everyone.
Assassin's Creed Shadows
Rolled credits at Level 55. Feel a bit burnt out to go for the platinum so I'll put this down for a bit and come back sometime later. Not as good as Origins, Odyssey, or Valhalla IMO. B-Tier.
Euro Truck Simulator 2
Delivered an excavator to Jönköping. After 102 days my Ziggurat Spedition trucking empire has 43 trucks.
Everything
Have reached the point where I'm just letting the game autoplay to mop up trophies so I guess I should move on. Interesting concept, average game. Could be more interesting in VR. B-Tier.
Final Fantasy IV Pixel Remaster
Have acquired the airship and am doing some side quests to level up prior to progressing the story.
Hollow Knight
Haven't picked this up in a few months so wandering around the Forgotten Crossroads to refamiliarise myself with the controls while grinding for geo to buy some more charms, mask shards, and vessel fragments. Bought the Gathering Swarm charm.
PowerWash Simulator VR
Doing the second job in the back yard. Only playing for 30 mins at a stretch so its going to take some time to work through this.
The Outer Worlds
Completed the main quests and all side quests in Emerald Vale.
Finally finished the grind for 10k online kills for the Seriously trophy on Gears of War: Reloaded this week and after it has put me in quite the gaming funk this last month or so, I’m looking forward to getting into something new.
Thinking of starting one of my two scheduled souls-likes for the year… and maybe returning to Resident Evil: Revelations to play it through on Infernal for the last trophy remaining. Ahhhh… it feels good to be free of that Gears grind! 😊
3 chapters to go in RE4. Also doing coop with a friend in Little Nightmares 3.
Enjoybthe weekend everybody
On the Pro Yakuza Kiwami 3 and Silent Hill f. Resident Evil Requiem and Fatal Frame 2 remake around the corner survival horror fans are eating good. On Ps3 Siren Blood Curse
Couldn’t resist Clair Obscur an any longer. Such a great game! I thought it might be overhyped, but not a bit of it.
grinding out the last of the trophies in dragon quest 11 and hopefully finishing it by monday. no clue what i’m going to play after.
Finally pooped the platinum trophy after 10 years in Rocket League today. Had to go the disc with no updates route for that pesky Stocked trophy but worth the effort. Not that far off the 100% either so I think I'll go for that.
Also continued with the Ace Attorney Trilogy by finishing up the second game, Justice For All.
On chapter 3 of the great Judgment, doing some sidecases and friendship events. Also, thanks to PS Plus, finally started Marvel's Spider-Man 2, and it's really amazing.
Hunting some targets on Assassin's Creed Shadows, about to return to the main quest. And, The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered. Very good to relive that unforgettable journey. I wish you all a safe weekend with great gaming!!
Greetings fellow video game enthusiasts. I have a cold but thankfully I've got my trusty new Switch 2 to keep me company. I've been playing Mario Kart World, it's really fun. I'd say Sonic Crossworlds is a better racing game but MKW is a better all round experience. Let's weekend.
I'm finally giving Hades a go (picked it up in Asda for £3.74 a couple of years back) I'm totally hooked. Stayed up until the early hours last night to beat a run for the first time. Now I'm awake I just want to jump straight back in. This has me concerned.
Still KCD, KCD2- so relaxing, solving mysteries, helping people, so much immersion feels like you live there. More MHWilds, would have to get back to Deathloop, trying out some free to plays like Marvel Rivals, got back to Fall Guys...yeah.
Playing:
I just beat a Lich enemy that gave me teleport magic to any magic circle. But i'm kinda forgot where i must go now lol. I got iron key, crimson key, bronze key, and two sigil.
‐-----------
Finished:
RIP Bluepoint 😔🥀
Took a notion and played a few PS Plus games. I have Premium but only because it renews at half price, so why not.
First up is Dredge. After two sessions the dashboard says I'm 80% complete. Enjoyed it immensely, but is the type of game I'll probably never play again once I finish it.
Also downloaded Cocoon. I'm not too deep into it (beat the first two bosses), but such a charming art style, and some ingenious level design.
For more hectic gameplay I've got Doom The Dark Ages. Love everything about this bar the soundtrack. It did prompt me to boot up Doom Eternal (the PS4 version) for the first time in a long time and I think that the latter is somehow the better-looking game.
Planning on getting back to either Dark Souls III or Death Stranding 2 this evening.
Star Trek Voyager Across the Unknown (a sort of The Alters/Xcom base management with choose your own adventure bits of Dispatch/This is the Police.) Really enjoying it as a Trek game.
Maybe a bit of Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 grinding in between.
After the week of bad news, it's only fitting i finally give Tormented Souls a go
@graymamba Kudos on that GoW achievement!!
My subscription to PS Plus ends in four days and I was never offered the discount to renew (neither in the Black Friday sale, the New Year sale nor the more recent sale) and I refuse to renew without the discount, so I am trying to finish Thank Goodness You’re Here before I lose access. I am a bit frustrated though because I didn’t slap a mole in a dirt bed near the start of the game so now I am unable to get a trophy at the end and I don’t know if I will have enough time to replay it. Looks like I’m going to be one trophy shy of the platinum. Game was quite enjoyable otherwise.
@KingPev cheers buddy, felt like I’d be doing it for the rest of my life at points… not a platinum I’d recommend to friends if you get me 😁
I'm replaying Resident Evil 4 remake to get back into the swing of things for next week. Despite playing through RE1/2 and 3 multiple times, I've only gone through this remake once and I'm enjoying it even more than I remember
Currently playing Towers of Aghasba which I took a gamble on when it was on sale. Hasn’t been a bad game actually. It definitely has some Jank to it, but it looks nice!
I’ll Hopefully be done with that tomorrow and will be moving on to Crisol: Theatre of Idols which from what I played so far will be a really good game.
Just finished Yakuza 0. I enjoyed it but boy is it FAR too long. I only slightly touched the side content and still clocked up 68 hours. There's just too much that isn't very good. Less is more in my book, this is the opposite of that. (HLTB puts it at a dull 144 hours for completionists, and they usually underestimate by quite a bit imo, the gameplay isn't engaging enough for that.)
Yet I was drawn in by the characters, the story and the world. It's a very mixed bag but the humanity shown, despite them all being caricatures, shone through and ultimately made the game worthwhile. However I can't help thinking it would have been better at half the length, it's just so needlessly dragged out. I almost quit midgame.
Combat is fun for the first few chapters, but then becomes a drag, I groaned by midgame every time a mob in the world caught me and i'd have to go through the same rote combat and finishers for the umpteenth time. It gets worse as the game goes on as enemies get tankier and block more without much else changing to keep it fresh.
The business side missions were fun for about 10 minutes but are dragged out like a Far Cry game where after you finish one area you unlock another 4 that are basically the same boring busywork.
At least the sub-stories are quite fun, and thankfully short, often 5 minute vignettes that add flavour to the world. Some made me laugh, some were a bit sick, many were forgettable, but they all helped ground the world. I think I did 40 of 100.
Far too many minigames, literally dozens that each feel weak on their own. Again less is more.
Still overall I enjoyed it, the characters and world were that good and shone through the weaker aspects, plus it had a much better tempo at the end after a glacially slow start and middle and finished on a high. Cautiously recommended.
Thankfully Kiwami 1 & 2 seem much shorter.
Returnal next I think.
I'm going to continue my new playtrough of Kena. Amazing game, cant wait for the sequel. Maybe going to play a couple of rounds of Splatoon.
I was going to get a retro handheld or track down old copies of Advance Wars, then I found out Nintendo released Advance Wars 1+2 Re-Boot Camp not that long ago.
So;
Nioh 3 here, currently in the second zone just working my way round exploring all the areas. Really enjoying the game so far playing my spear build. I would say my only minor gripe so far is the removal of some item sets which is a shame. I miss the red demon armour set
@Kraven that boss was a huge step up compared to anything before it. His speed, huge AOE and status effects was a bit much, and the room felt too small for the fight. I also found I died a few times because if he knocks you down he will attack again faster than you can get back up, and that felt a bit cheap. Its also got the issue that Nioh 1 has where living weapon is so strong that attemps without it just feel like your headbutting a wall. Still its a great game and boy was I glad when I got him.
@graymamba Seriously!!! You sicko! I though these were only there to weed out bots
Only kidding, huge achievement. Good luck finding your next fix.
A bit of shocking gaming news yesterday with both Spencer and Bond departing Xbox and the boss of AI taking over. Not sure if thats a good thing but time will tell i guess. Anyway, the games we've been playing is why we are here so:
High on life 2 - I've finished the game and I had a blast playing it. There are some very hilarious moments in various missions that had me laughing out loud (of course, its subjective but still). Im also impressed with how different the missions are, not all are brilliant but many are really cool imo. The only complaint I have is that the end part of the game could have been a bit better as it dragged on a bit but other than that, it was a very fun game imo, however its not a five star game without flaws and its certainly not for everyone just so you know. Perfect game to be on a service though 🙂
AC Shadows - Claws of Awaji - I havent really decided what to play next but remembered that I hadnt played Claws of Awaji yet. After a bit of a struggle remembering the controls (I actually managed to die more than once... wtf!) Im back to enjoying this awesome game again. Love it. Its really beautiful and it plays really well, also love to switch between the different playstyles of Yasuke and Naoe. Going to enjoy this revisit 🙂
Have a great weekend!
@Bundersvessel I just hope that the other three Xbox studios games I have lined up for this anniversary year don’t funk me out in the way that this did! 😅
I'm about 30 hours into Yotei just killed the Oni. I've spent ages in the photo mode game is gorgeous. I bought Avowed and I'm tempted to start but should probably stick to Yotei. I'll also be playing some Battlefield 6 later with my brother.
@graymamba
Wow, thats some real commitment right there! Congrats! I gave up at 500 kills or so 😅
On PS5 i will be playing Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined, Still Wakes the Deep, Okami HD and Daemon X Machina Titanic Scion
On Switch 2 I will be playing Mario Tennis Fever and Shuten Order
I will be continued playing one of the greatest video games ever made in the incredible crash bandicoot 2 Cortez strikes back. From crash bandicoot n sane trilogy. I will be continued playing fan favorite the wonderful psychonauts 2.i will also continued playing retro classics the excellent teenage mutant ninja turtles the cowabunga collection teenage mutant ninja 1989 arcade game since I already beat the Nintendo turtles version. I will be continued playing the instant classic the amazing little nightmares 2 with all the dlcs.and I will be playing one of the best remakes and one of the best video games ever made in the phenomenal shadow of the collosus. I will be watching my michigan wolverines 💛💙 play. I will be watching my boston celtics p💚🖤 play.i will be watching legendary sitcoms TV 📺 comedy shows in family matters.good times.the Jeffersons.sanford and son.different strokes.martin.the wayans brothers and saved by the bell.word up son
Playing Atomfall and Avowed at moment. Love both games, especially Atomfall (Fallout in Cumbria - awesome!).
@mac_da_man @themightyant in all honesty I can’t claim much credit, other than the vast amounts of time invested. I was lucky to find a boosting group where we all helped each other out on the multiplayer stuff. Probably turned a couple of years worth of playtime into a couple of months tbh.
I’ve done something mad and decided to play three games at the same time - I’m too old to make this reckless decision 🤣. I know I’m going to forget the controls for every single one. I’ve got V Rising, art of rally and Spiderman 2 on the go. I’m also eyeing up the news of Pokémon fire red and currently debating buying a switch 2.
GoW sons of Sparta - I’m not blown away so far but it’s a fun enough 2D metroidvania.
After my copy of Nioh 3 went missing in the post I’ve decided to play kena bridge of spirits instead.
After seeing the sequel at last weeks sop thought it was about time I knocked it off my backlog list!
Unicorn Overlord remains my sole focus still; currently grinding my team's levels in the Albion region.
Maybe also a bit of Monster Train 2 (Steam Deck) on the side, making a bit more progress with the recently released DLC.
Have a great gaming weekend y'all!
Just finished Expedition 33. Wow.
Will play some Puzzle Quest and may start Subnautica. Otherwise I will just be doing DIY and probably watch some Peaky Blinders.
@Bundersvessel My pursuit for Chicken Dinner on Forza will be an interesting one no doubt. Halo: Campaign Evolved should be fine as there is no mp. Same for Fable in terms of there being no mp (I’d imagine) but you’d have to guess it will be a big time-sink anyway.
I just got the platinum trophy for Spider-Man 2! What a game ♥️. I am now in the mood for a similar game to complete 😁. Any suggestions?
I'm playing a nice 3D platformer: Kao the Kangaroo. Happy gaming everyone!
More Horizon Forbidden West for me. I've explored pretty much all of the map and have made it to LVL 45, and I haven't even started looking for Poseidon, Aether, etc. Although I just got the diving mask before Poseidon, but now it makes me want to explore any underwater caverns I've passed by previously.
Yakuza Kiwami 3, mostly. I just completed the full Training List for the main game and I'm close to finishing the story too. Not sure how long it will take to do everything in Dark Ties, but hopefully I should be able to wrap up the game before the weekend ends.
If I've got leftover time after finishing Yakuza, I'll probably start Death Match Love Comedy, which arrived in the mail a couple days ago. It's from the writer of Raging Loop (one of my all-time favorite VNs) so I'm pretty excited.
Still making my way through Tainted Grail. Im a bit ill so its taking me some time!
Cairn is calling me. I feel a need to try it so I may get to starting that this weekend too.
I retire next week (ill health retirement) so I should have more time to hit the backlog.
Whatever you are all playing, I hope you enjoy it!
I shall be exclusively plundering in Skull and Bones.
For some reason I went back to the Division 2. I was only level 10, does run much better now on ps5
@get2sammyb Asking since issue 539 for a poll in the weekly posts. It would be so much better.
Looking to finish Cairn this weekend - I restarted as I had painted myself into a corner with a tough face to climb and no pitons left. For a more relaxing experience I've also begun Neva which is new to PS Plus this month. Great so far. Have a top weekend everyone!
You guessed it, I'm 105 hours into Octopath traveler 0 and it's still not done. But it is still very engaging. Hope you all have fun gaming this weekend!
More Nioh 3. Still exploring the first region (I assume there are more regions anyway...?)
Taking my time and loving every minute
Wolfenstein 2.
After a busy week at the Winter Olympics I'm finally getting some gaming of my own done in the shape of Insomniac's Spiderman. I'm enjoying the combat especially throwing things at people, people at things, people at people and I definitely enjoy the option for a stealthy approach too. I haven't looked into the other two yet, but I can see why people like the first one. Happy gaming weekend folks.
@ErrantRob I heard that crisol runs really bad on PS5 but it looks awesome. May try it out down the line
I'm continuing on Cronos the new dawn. (Highly recommended).
And bought the Gex trilogy for nostalgia and something completely different to Cronos 🤣
@themightyant ...i have a real love / hate relationship with the Yakuza games, for exactly the reasons you mentioned. Combat is a repetitive slog yet you feel compelled to carry on. I had the same feelings to Judgement, and i couldnt finish it. And ZERO is one of the better games, I think. But youre right, Kiwami 1 & 2 are a vast improvement ....enjoy !
Assassin's Creed Shadows. I'm really loving this at the moment. Playing as Naoe mostly but I really like Yasuke as a character. The game looks absolutely stunning too.
Bewildered by all the negativity around it.
Will continue Rise of the Tomb Raider and jump on Sonic Racing Cross Worlds.
I'm taking a break from The Outer Worlds 2 - which is not as exciting as I was hoping - to play some Resident Evil 4 Remake. As I probably won't be able to get RE Requiem at launch (I'll never be comfortable to pay 80€ for a digital release), this will do for now.
I’m playing nothing this week but I have just pre ordered resi requiem. I was pleasantly surprised by the game being £60 instead of £70. Roll on next week
Hosting a rally championship on EA wrc. Lots of entry's and lots of quitters too so far. Surprisingly the French contingent are the worst of the rage quitters. Not sure what they are shouting but my wife assures me it's not pleasant 🤣. Have a great weekend folks 👍
I finished a playthrough of Atomfall last night and I am waiting for the dlc to go on sale before buying. I have ordered a copy of Borderlands 4 but still waiting for it so in the time being it'll be Fc26 with my Hertha Berlin career mode
Nioh 2 remastered and finishing ready or not dlc
Anyone playing Claire Obscure? Im thinking to buy it on steam for my rtx 4050 gaming laptop. Combat Look dang fun but im afraid im getting bored by turn based. Not a fan of turn based. But i do like from what im seeing.
Finishing up my first ever playthrough of BotW. It finally stuck with me this time around. Still unsure what to play after though. Might play a smaller indie game or two before finally starting up yotei or keep chipping away at the backlog.
I've also been playing LeafGreen before bed which has been pretty comforting, even though I'm not the biggest Pokemon fan, but I do have some nostalgia for the first couple gens.
@Sanquine "I am now in the mood for a similar game to complete 😁. Any suggestions?" EA wrc mate..I'm waiting for our thrustmaster vs fanatec rivalry to start..
@Bundersvessel okay, well that could make for it being pretty interesting. 🤞
@KingPev One of the named dark phantoms fell off and died by gravity so i'm stuck trying to get pure white character because no one invades any more. If you ever feel like helping out and letting yourself get killed by invading, it would be very much appreciated
@amatmulisha Not a fan of turn based either. The dodging and parrying made it an exception to the rule.
@Northern_munkey You need to help me with the setup of the wheel settings 😁. Need to attach this to my desk (still no play seat 😅)
@Sanquine cool just message me when. Will be busy this evening but I'm good any other time.
@ECharles i see. Yeah dodging and parrying make it stand out from typical turn based game. I might get it cause the combat look so freaking satisfying and stylish. Thanks for the reply
I just platinumed Metal Eden which was an extremely fun game and played like a cross between DOOM and Ghost Runner. Having completed that, I bought ALIEN: Rogue Incursion Evolved Edition but haven’t started it yet so I’ll be playing that this weekend. Hope everyone enjoys what they’re playing. Have a great weekend y’all!!
Assassins Creed Nexus VR

It's AC. In VR. A bit small-scale though, since its on standalone (Quest) headsets. Environments are either linear inside levels or more open outside towns that are about the size of a small town in your average AC game. Climbing around is fun, although the game feels a bit too safe and handholding at times. The story feels uninspired and boring but its nice to see familiar places in VR (you play as Ezio, Kassandra and Connor). I'd like to see a VR version of a bigger AC game like Odyssey for PCVR/PSVR2, but I doubt it will happen since Ubi was unhappy with the sales of this one.
There is No Light

Top-down action game with some Soulslike ingredients and great pixel art. Has unexpectedly deep lore and story for a game like this. Very bleak (the title refers to the false religion the citizens pray to) and has some difficult boss battles. Been playing it on my handheld PC and its pretty good.
I think I'm getting pretty close to the end of Nioh 3 so I'll likely be finishing that up.
Nearing the end in Code Vein 2. It’s not a masterpiece but I still think it’s a bit underrated (just like the first game). The story is the usual anime silliness but the gameplay holds up. Huge build variety and zero random loot, each weapon having unique move sets.
I’ll be finished right in time for resident evil: requiem!
I started KCD1, ps5ver. last weekend, but I'm pulling the plug for now. Crimson Desert will be day one in March and I never play one huge RPG, then into another one back to back. I'll save KCD1 for an RPG-itch when there isn't a new one to play. So idk, I still have to finish Metal Eden and then check out BF6 season 2
@DETfaninATL Awesome to hear you are playing Metal Eden. I think it was a gem that was highly overlooked. I'm halfway through and dropped it for a bit, but will be picking it up this weekend. The cyberpunk vibes in that game are so great. Everyone likes doom and likes cyberpunk theme. IDK why that game flew totally under the radar
Mario Tennis Fever, maybe Forgotlings. I might get a chance to catch up on all those demos I’ve got downloaded andwaiting for me too.
@Throb...i won't have to let you kill me, most players do anyway 😆 but yeah !
Samurai warriors 5 for me. Not bad in all honesty. And I've finally hit the hundred hour mark in fantasy life. I'm nowhere near done .
Got the platinum in Sons of Sparta. I enjoyed the story a lot, gameplay was fine enough. It didn’t me in a God of a war mood so I have Ascension, ghost of Sparta and chains of Olympus loaded on my PS3 and ready to go.
@ApostateMage Shadows carry arguably the best, more compelling and developed combat system of the Assassin's Creed franchise. This should be highlighted more.
@Zeroo I don't know how a poll would work man? There are like 10,000 games across PS5 and PS4 (not including the possibility of retro).
The vast majority of people are usually playing different games most weeks, so you'd need an absolutely enormous poll to cover all potential bases, no?
Do you want to explain how this would work?
Nioh 2. I put death stranding and hades on hold for a bit. Nioh 3 coming out has me craving some Nioh. I’m waiting for the complete version of 3 before I buy that
Until the main course I didn't want to commit anything big so I finally started Little Nightmares 2. Art design is top notch but I am not that impressed so far. Also I am still going for character side stories on Ghost of Tsushima but there is not much left of them. I don't plan to do anything after those and give the game a rest until playing Iki Island.
I'm making my way through The Legend of Heroes: Trails beyond the Horizon . I'm currently 25 hours in and I feel like I've barely scratched the surface. If it's anything like the other games in the series then I have at least 50 hours left.
@get2sammyb He probably means like they do over at Nintendo Life.
Platinumed Spider-Man 2, glad I didn’t buy it. Between games at the moment, leaning towards Tokyo Xanadu EX+
@PuppetMaster
Omg Vagrant! Such good memories.
I have the Vita but wondering if I can also play it on PS5/ Portal?
So disappointed to Sony (Bluepoint)
@StitchJones Agreed! I absolutely loved that game. It was such a surprise and SO enjoyable! I’m actually bummed I finished it. Twice no less. Even Brutal mode was an enjoyable challenge! 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
Just started Yakuza Kiwami 3. The graphics aren’t great but I’m enjoying it. Combat retains enough of the original without being “slam your head” annoying
I’m also slowly playing Baldur’s Gate 3. Still on Act 1 but I finished the Goblin Camp, Grove, Ethel, and Blighted Village stuff so far. I’m working through the UnderDark area ATM
Cave Story on Mega Drive, Far Cry Primal PS5, and Motorstorm Arctic Edge on PSP.
My son and I started Split Fiction together and are loving it. I’ve also been obsessed with Nioh 3 and playing that whenever I can. Habroxia 2 on Switch is the last thing I’ve squeezed in here and there.
I'm all in on Possessor(s), that Metroidvania that everyone said it was "meh" but in reality is really fun for me (aside from some bugs)
I also played a bit of Kingdom Come Deliverance, but I still suck ass at that game. I have to use a guide so i can progress, but at least I'm moving forward
Both games are being played on PS5. Gotta take a trip tomorrow, so I'll be away from my PS5 until at least Thursday. Meanwhile I'll be playing something on my 2DS
Spent most of the day with my dad working on his 4-wheeler that's been stashed in my garage. Oil is changed, new battery, did some troubleshooting on the reverse switch, and tore down/rebuilt the carb (twice). We uh...ordered a new one. Real quick about my dad - He's 76, getting treatment for cancer (half way there, he's going to be fine), and still has absolutely no quit in him. He's always been smart, and he's sharp as ever. Amazing guy.
Anyway, games. I had some PSN credit, so I bought Slay the Princess. It's neat so far, but I've only spent 20 minutes with it. If I have time, I'd like to finish Control. I will also dip in and out of some Resident Evil games over the next week. I feel like a kid on the week before Christmas. Can't wait for Requiem.
Back on the Genshin grind after a long break!
One trophy left on Diablo4. It’s been one hell of a grind and I’m still only at paragon 250. 50 more to go for that last one! Doubt I’ll be done this weekend somehow. So I’ll break that up with some Roadcraft chilling and continuing my remembrance playthrough of Demons remake in honour of you know who. Also plenty of Digital foundry through my headphones. Got some retro super show to catch up on. Somewhere I’ll fit in some activities for the kids 😆. Happy gaming guys
RIP- Bluepoint
Just got Black Myth Wukong on sale and loving it so far
Gravity Guy (Windows Phone) - Nearly to the end now.
Equalicious (Windows Phone) - Also clear sailing on this atm.
Asphalt Overdrive (Windows Phone) - Unlocked some much needed muscle cars, now it is speeding along at a better clip...
Still running through Astro Bot with the wife. Went back to Division for a bit just to get the platinum. Got it. Then went on and platinum’d Division 2. Remembered how much I love the series.
I'm playing Ninja Gaiden Ragebound, which is better than anything anyone else is playing here! Better than Ghosts Of Yoplait, better than Honky Tonk Star Rail, all of it!! Deal with it🥷
In the opening hours of Horizon Forbidden West and Silent Hill 2. Both are fantastic so far, in their own way. And both feel very familiar. Even though it’s been essentially 8 years since my sole playthrough of Horizon Zero Dawn, the gameplay is still there in the vestiges of my muscle memory. I like what they’ve done with the climbing and traversal though. Combat feels the same so far, not that that’s a bad thing though. And even though I’ve not played a Silent Hill game since the PS1, SH2 feels very similar to RE2 and RE3. Again, not a bad thing at all.
RE2 Remake for me. Just starting on Claire 2nd Run.
I'm playing with Sora a PS3 this weekend. I have not played my PS5 in about at least three months, Sony has given zero reason to care about a PS5!
My PS3 has a far more creative and fun gaming library.
Off topic a little… but Bluepoint should have remade vagrant story. I know most want bloodborne from them. But that would have been my choice
@Ichiban not better than the Nioh games.
Dear friend @HRdepartment
Despite the fact that I enjoy playing (almost non-stop) Nioh 3,
Nioh 2's combat system and enemy placements are definitely better.
I can only hope that, DLC's of Nioh 3, can be at Nioh 2's level.
Fingers crossed.
Dear friend @HRdepartment
I can not agree more.
Vagrant Story - Remake from BluePoint (most likely) would have been amazing...
Such a shame...
@rustym82 I’m about two hours in and have no issues. It may be a later level thing, but I often find I don’t always have the same issues others do with certain games.
@ErrantRob how is your sensitivity to frame rate issues? Does it feel smooth or bit choppy?
I'll likely get it after requiem as think it looks like bioshock crossed with RE village lol
It is very much a mix of those two. I’m pretty sensitive to that stuff, from framerate drops to screen tears, etc. when something isn’t consistent I can tell. From what I’ve seen it might happen in a later level with enemy density. At this point I haven’t hit that portion of the game.
