Re: Soapbox: Why I'm Less Excited for Deathloop on PS5 Than I Should Be

Knowing its coming to Gamepass at some point in the distant future is an odd one to bother about. You can almost say the similar things about any title.

"Ohh it'll be 20 quid in a years time at black Friday sales, ill better not buy it day 1"

You either want it or you dont.

If you can afford it and really want it, buy it day 1. If not then hold off till sales. Odd to be put off by a game going free in a years time. Clearly must not be that bothered about it in the first place.

Id understand if it were a simultaneous release but its far from it.

Jesus, a lot of upset people about what's a great score. If its not genre defining then its a fair score for a game that does everything solidly.

@Weebleman i'd agree with that, too many people have these ideas that if a game isn't a 10 or a 9 at a push then its not worth playing or someone is being unfair. @get2sammyb

Just go for a simply review score, something like:

Essential
Recommended
Decent
Poor
Rise of the Robots levels of turd

You'd think half of the folk on here are getting a bonus from Insomniac based on the review score.

Re: PS5 Is Probably Telling You to Charge Your Controller Way Too Early

solocapers

Its not a good idea to let a Li-Ion battery almost dissipate before charging. The instruction to charge "early" will be to preserve long term battery health.

Also by the same token its not a good idea to leave a battery fully charged and unused for long periods.

Keeping a battery between 20% and 80% is roughly the best place to keep a battery for long term health

@Blacksmith1985 @get2sammyb - Personally, i'd edit the article before people start thinking they can ignore the advice and play till the charge runs out and long term, it shortens their battery life/capacity.

Its well documented by device manufactures guidance to not allow devices to completely dissipate to preserve long term battery life and charge capacity.

Re: More Cyberpunk 2077 Outrage as Dev-Made Montage Videos of Bugs and Glitches Leak Online

Feel sorry for the devs on this one, they've took a whole load of stick for issues only the higher up's themselves brought about.

The clips were no doubt made early on in development and nothing to suggest its from code near, or as it went "gold"

The leak however suggests that its came from someone disgruntled. Management are the only ones to blame here and you can see with the amount of staff leaving that the company is in a bad way.

Re: Days of Play Sale PS5, PS4 Deals - All Discounts on PS5 and PS4 Games, PS Plus, and Accessories

@ralphdibny Its a good remake - mostly online orientated (ive had 1 laggy fight out of 4 so far) with an arcade mode for offline play however the Quest mode from the original Virtua Fighter 5 is absent which is a shame.

Plays exactly as you would expect and as far as I can tell the movesets, balancing etc is exactly the same as 5 Final Showdown.

Brilliant PS plus game which will get tonnes of hours from me and I ended up buying the DLC (think its about 7.99? It's basically some of the items from the Quest mode from VF 5 as far as I can tell) to hopefully push Sega in to making a VF6

Re: Horizon Forbidden West Mesmerises in 14 Minute Gameplay Sequence

From the PS5 footage its clear they're using SSR and not Ray Tracing which, for a cross gen title is a little disappointing to be honest.

Something seemed off with the visuals, like a plastic toy look to everything from the foliage to Aloys face and the weird glow around her head when in 3rd person.

Its early code and while the game looks very dense, something seems odd with the visuals for me even with it looking good otherwise.

I'll absolutely be getting it regardless as im sure it'll still be good regardless.

Re: Lost Judgment Announced for PS5, PS4, September 2021 Worldwide Release Date

IN!

I like the way RGG is going to keep things fresh.

Yakuza - turn based - Judgement - beat em up.

Both wacky, brutal, interesting and very much have that Sega DNA of old but above all else.. Fun. So many games these days go for the gritty gameplay, story and completely lose any semblance of fun, the whole reason video games took off.

They always seem to manage to keep them fresh even though its just technically a lick of paint here and there with a new story.

Re: PlayStation Plus Video Pass Expands PS Plus with Movies and TV Shows, but Only in Poland for Now

solocapers

@BoldAndBrash I think you are over reacting a bit and blowing my comment totally out of proportion for bait.

I'm not asking for more games I'm personally already a Plus and Now subscriber. Just merge them and be done with it.

PlayStation is the eco system here. I don't want a movie streaming service and I doubt I'm in the minority saying so, there's already more than enough services for that before adding yet more fragmentation to the movie streaming market.

If you aren't going to add anything constructive you might want to get your shine box back out and be useful.

Do you genuinely think it's gonna add much value for gamers as a counter to game pass?

Re: A New Virtua Fighter Game Has Leaked on the PlayStation Store in Japan

solocapers

@Korgon get more or less most of the Yakuza games.

They often come with virtua fighter in the arcades in the city.

For example.. with "Yakuza like a dragon" you have fully functioning arcade version of virtua fighter 2 and 5 along with super hang on, space harrier, fantasy zone and out run.

The Yakuza games are the dogs danglies!
