When I setup my ps5 last week I had a controller update to install.

It's shocking to read as I've always felt amazons customer service has been in my experience anyway, brilliant. Think I will avoid Amazon for big ticket items in the future.

I don't get why these folk have decided to fight on though instead of picking up with another retailer with the stock refreshes lately.

I've managed to get ones for myself and a friend through two different retailers and could have had a third with another. I'd have given up.

Amazon really need to sort it out though.

I've not played FIFA in a few years but it looks like the player animations haven't changed in that time.

It looks so juddery compared to PES. Theres no real seamlessness to player movement and kicking the ball in physically unrealistic movements.

Don't get me wrong PES isn't perfect but the player movements look much more fluid and life-like.

There was one bit there about 5 mins in the game time where the player manages to kick the ball behind him about 30 yards barely turning. Looked so unnatural.

The animation transitions are far too quick and don't blend particularly well. Yes it will slow the game down in trying to move the ball about a certain way but it's more realistic. It's the one thing that puts me off FIFA..

@supergurr no it doesn't your talking utter nonsense. Putting your Xbox in UWP mode does not invalidate your warranty. It's just an app that MS allows you to toggle on and off. It's literally there to let homebrew and indie developers create apps, games and other services without having to pay for a dev kit.

Running retroarch using UWP and running PS2 games, N64 or Amiga games doesn't violate any Microsoft warranty or terms and conditions.

The only terms you may violate is the game software itself. That's got naff all to do with Microsoft and good luck to Sony or Nintendo doing anything to you if you've ran a LEGAL!! And I can't stress that word legal enough, ROM (providing you own the game) on a different platform.

Microsoft have since the One console supported 3rd party app development. Theres nothing new about this. MVG has just shown how it runs on the series S.

Retroarch, a melting pot for emulators has worked since then.

There's nothing illegal whatsoever about emulators. Only sharing ROMs.

Cease and desist won't and can't happen.

The problem with Sony releasing their own emulator is ensuring compatibility. Which, as with nearly all emulators is a issue with some titles.

Tbf GTA V on the ps3 didn't exactly run brilliant and the ps3 was creaking pretty badly.

@Kidfried it means it's playable and passes qa but testing late on may have found some pretty game breaking bugs not picked up earlier so rather than release like that and get complaints they've pushed it back for a big day 0 patch.

It does mean one bad thing.. in 15 20 years when psn is killed for PS4 and 5 then those disc versions already printed will be inherently broken for those loading up on an old machine for nostalgia's sake.

On a separate note the Twitter seethe is strong. It's a couple of days...some folk need to chill.

Completely unrelated to this game but what's the deal with all the adverts on the main page now on mobile. It's practically article, advert, article, advert. Having to scroll a whole page just to get to the next couple of headlines before yet another whole page advert.

@Flaming_Kaiser it didn't look particularly pleasing on the eye. Sure it's glitzy but it seemed a bit disorganised to me..it's hard to tell with what little we seen but it looks a little cluttered.

Month to go so hopefully once we're hands on it'll make more sense from a user perspective.

Seems fast/slick as you'd expect.
The hints system seems good but I doubt Devs will properly embrace it other than first parties.

The in game cards seem quite cluttered
The ps menu for games seems again a tad cluttered.

It's hard to say based on the video of course.. my eyes were wandering off to check other areas which weren't explained so hands on might be much better.

I want to give it a go especially since you can play to level 40 or 60 but SE won't let me because I played the demo when the original game came out and my psn is linked to it. Tried getting SE to unlink my psn to create a new account and they refuse.

@710King exactly the point I was making. There's no way it's not finalised with some potential day 1 polish to add.

For those saying it's not finalised yet as in there's gonna be huge features missing within the next 30 days I very much doubt that.

Sure there might be bugs here and there to iron out or small features to come in a 1.1 update however these consoles (that have already been manufactured anyway) will already be boxed ready for shipping with the 1.0 firmware on them.

I suspect there's no big blow out of information simply because there's not a huge amount to shout out about..share recordings at a higher res or FPS.. maybe but that's probably going to be about it.

The share features on the PS4 are already decent.. there's not much more you can do with it.

Really curious to see how it runs on ps4 and Xbox one...especially on the base units. You have to imagine there's a whole host of sacrifices needed to make it run.

I can understand why Japanese gamers would be annoyed.

In essence Nintendo and Sony consoles are Japanese based and for Nintendo they've always kept the same mapping.. Why in the first place did Sony decide to go with X to accept in the west?

Why not circle to keep all regions in line I stead of forcing X on the eastern market all these years later.

I'm a little surprised Sony aren't putting it in western hands since the move of their HQ but let's be honest..were ms ever even going to attempt to push it in the east where it doesn't stand a chance.
