The PlayStation Plus lineup for June 2021 has been revealed, and it's just as the leak from earlier this week told us. Next month's PS5 game is Operation: Tango, which is a co-op focused spy game. It's a brand new release, which is always a nice bonus for Plus subscribers. Operation: Tango will also launch for PS4, but PS Plus subscribers only get access to the PS5 version.

Meanwhile, PS4 gets two relatively heavy hitters. First up is Star Wars: Squadrons, a fun dogfighting sim that's obviously set in the Star Wars universe. And on top of that is another new release: Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown.

This one's a pretty big deal, since it marks the return of SEGA's once huge fighting game property. It's a graphically updated version of 2012 PS3 title Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown, rebuilt using the Yakuza series' Dragon Engine. It's launching exclusively for PS4 (although you will, of course, be able to play it on PS5 through backwards compatibility).

Interestingly, Ultimate Showdown will be available to PS Plus subscribers for two months instead of just one. It's also coming to PS Now in June โ€” Sony's other subscription service.

We'll bring you full reviews of both Operation: Tango and Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown in the coming days. In the meantime, here's what we had to say about Star Wars: Squadrons in our review:

Star Wars: Squadrons has its heart in the right place and a comprehensive, in-depth set of flight mechanics go a long way towards realising that childhood dream of piloting an X-Wing. It achieves the vision in some ways, but in others, the package lacks excitement and content. While excellent PSVR support will be enough for some, a boring story and inadequate multiplayer modes leave a lot to be desired.

You can download all three games starting from next week, on Tuesday, 1st June.
