@TrickyDicky99 you’d be surprised, the flash drive is what, a few dollars. Wi-Fi, a few cents along with the speakers. Battery again another few dollars. The processor is also a relatively cheap mobile chip.
It’s all nice as a package but it’s middling quality bits thrown together and your assuming because it has extra bells over the ps headset, overall it’s equal or more valuable.
Sure it has its points but over all its still a weaker system.
That’s no shame as it’s still good value but what you are doing is like comparing a mobile cpu and desktop cpu, see they have the same clock speed and assume they are just as powerful.
@UltimateOtaku91 quick google suggests there was 109 PS1 games in total (a few of them were special modes with limited gameplay)
Of the 26 launch PS2 games 21 of them were 60fps. Obviously that proportion dropped massively as the gen went on but its fair to guess atleast 100 in total were 60fps
Stolen from reddit but heres a decent list for PS2 games running at 60fps:
The Devil May Cry games
The Burnout games
The Gran Turismo games+Tourist Trophy
The Maximo games
Shox
The SSX games
Metal Gear Solid 2
Valkyrie Profile 2
Star Ocean
Radiata Stories
The Timesplitters Games
Rygar
The Ratchet & Clank games
The Jak games
The God of War games
The Castlevania games
Ridge Racer V
The Zone of Enders games
Mark of Kri+Sequel
Rez
Legend of Kay
Kya
Dark Cloud
The Baldur’s Gate/Norrath games
The PS3 gen is what really normalised 30FPS sadly.
I enjoy turn based and action just the same. They both scratch an itch.
Either way, if it's a final fantasy game, the memories are for me often made not with the combat choice but with the story, music, characters and setting.
If they're good then there's not going to be a huge problem turn based or action.
My one gripe with modern final fantasy games are the lack of summons which are obviously very time consuming to produce with modern graphics techniques.
@ATaco The writing was on the wall to an extent with the PC online mods for the GTA3 series. Single player obviously needs to stay but Online brings a huge amount to the table, like it or not.
It was absolutely mind blowing back then and was the obvious route to go down.
Its a shame for those who only play single player games and want more regular releases but it seems most people would prefer to play the game long term once the single player content is complete with their mates.
Its kinda outstayed its welcome with me now (a new map would have been awesome as per what was often rumoured) but I've had a few thousand hours of fun with GTAO and not spent a penny.
I always felt this was a cash grab and was never intending to buy it after buying the orig and remaster.
It's missing MP. It's more expensive than the original release and if memory serves the PS4 remaster was also cheaper.
Going by that video it's a barely noticeable graphics update from the remaster. People rightly slated Sega for Persona doing the same thing and this should be no different.
Shocking from ND and Sony. Shocking.
For those who bought the remaster this should really be a £25 upgrade at most.
"there's a noticeable grinding sensation you can feel and hear when you turn."
Thats part and parcel for belt driven wheels.
If its very noticeable then id take a guess its worse than the G29 which you can notice it but not too much.
Its also worth noting the g29 uses a rubber stopper which works a little more like a load cell rather than just a spring for the brake pedal. Even if the springs have different strength.
Many fond memories at playing UT2k4 back in the day and playing Instagib CTF on "Face Classic" Other maps worked but this worked best on maps that had cliff edges where you can fall to your death.
Aimbot idiot would come in: If not already on the same team as them, switch to the same then boost them off the map.
When you are a decent standard even the translocator isn't going to save you mercilessly getting shot at with an Instagib rifle from your own team and therefore off the map.
@BartoxTharglod I played it was relaunched as "a realm reborn" you are correct.
I never bought it however, that was a then 48 hour trial or something as part of a PSN promotion to drive customers.
SE then later brought in the 60 level "unlimited" free trial which as a previous trial member means I get no access to it.
Multiple queries to mogstation support and they say you cant do it. You have to use a separate PSN and email.
Multiple forums all say the same thing for folk like us caught in the same hole.
Its stupid as if I got a proper go at it especially since I tried it nearly 10 years ago now and so much has changed, I'd likely be tempted to go all in but SE want to punish potential customers so i'll not bother and im not jumping through hoops to circumvent their stupid systems.
@BartoxTharglod Its not as simple as that and id agree with Khayl here. SE have been dumb as hell since they made the game F2P for the first 30 levels or whatever it is and i'll explain why:
For players who tried the demo or bought FF back in its old broken state, there's no way for us to play up to level 30 or whatever now which everyone else can do as it links to your PSN AND email address and cannot be unlinked fully.
SE customer support is atrocious in assisting with it basically saying you need to use a new email and PSN even though I was level 4 or so when I first played it.
I don't get what the problem is and why it's a "disgrace"
Folk are trying to nab the new service for half price if they've got even say, 3 months of Now on their account and attempting to stack loads of ps plus subs on to get the double deal for x amount of years.
When it allows subs to be redeemed back on they're getting what they paid for in the first place rather than trying to game the system.
In my case Sony have been very generous in bumping my 3 year plus and 1 year Now in to 3 years of the full new service.
Nothing anti consumer about that.
People have just tried to game the system when they heard Sony was doing that and are now wrongly getting up in arms because they've been told "no, wait till the new system launches and you'll get what you paid for."
It's not possible to emulate the PPU's on PS5 grade hardware at a decent frame rate.
The games that work decent on rcps3 on pc are games that don't use the PPU's and that's on hardware better than the PS5.
Were a way off hardware wise before it's feasible. Sony know the hardware ofcourse but the folk who spend their time reverse engineering it know a decent amount and if Sony did make their own emulator it doesn't mean that it's going to run easy.
Those clambering for day 1 game pass type service better be happy with the undoubted future of the Netflix model with games being released half finished, and then cancelled when they don't hit user engagement kpi's.
Give me normal full priced titles that are complete over that with additional subs that catch titles that I might have not purchased at the time.
While the grind is real and the change is very welcome GT isn't really a game to be finished quick.
There's always clearly been new content on the way to beef up the offerings (new tracks, events etc) which didn't really happen in older GT's and before trophies were a thing you were absolutely left with doing the same race over and over to collect all the cars.
The whingebags in here and elsewhere online expecting to complete the game and collect every single car within 40-50 hours is staggering.
The nerf rightly deserved backlash but the complaining started well before that.
GT Sport was the same, that released what? 5 years ago? Parts of GT have been locked behind an online only model since GT5 and microtransactions have been there the same time.

Re: God of War Ragnarok (PS5) - A Dazzling Crown Jewel in Sony's Catalogue
@middyone The problem with HFW is that it wasn't actually any better.
I'd still rate HZD as the better of the two.
Re: God of War Ragnarok (PS5) - A Dazzling Crown Jewel in Sony's Catalogue
Seems good from the review - Pre order was already in and downloaded today.
HFW got a nice review but when I played it for me, it was too much of "more of the same"
This review suggests its again more of the same but with proper bells and whistles it deserves. Looking forward to getting stuck in.

Re: PSVR2 Launches 22nd February 2023, Costs $550
@TrickyDicky99 AHH yes the mighty Pico 4. Sure it's got a slightly higher resolution but other than that its a nice bit of kit appropriately priced.
I'm not even going to start with the quest.
Here's why the pico is cheaper than the vr2:
LCD panel Vs OLED on the psvr 2
Lower frame rate.
No HDR
Lower field of view
No eye tracking
No headset feedback.
A $150 price difference doesn't seem so bad now right?
Re: PSVR2 Launches 22nd February 2023, Costs $550
@elvisfan1 Confirmed that it cannot.
There's talk of a few devs porting their titles though, hopefully that'll be for a small fee at worst rather than buying again.
Re: PSVR2 Launches 22nd February 2023, Costs $550
@GorosBat How much did you seriously expect to pay?
Im not personally buying it because it's out my budget just now with saving for a house but it's a high-end product.
Did you seriously think with the controllers it'd cost say, half the price of a PS5?
Some people are in coo coo land if they think it'd be $300-$400.
Its well in the expected price range for what you are getting.

Re: PS5 Players Don't Want to See 60fps Die Out
@UltimateOtaku91 60FPS absolutely was a thing from PS2 onwards with notable titles on the PS2 such as Gran Turismo 3 and 4, MGS2, Devil May Cry.
The problem being that with the PS3, the number of titles started slowing down and got even worse with PS4.
Heck, even the PS1 had games like tekken, Micro Machines and others.
Re: Just 70MB of Data Contained on the Modern Warfare 2 Disc
Is there anything on the box to state that an internet connection is required to play the game?
Assuming there must be as that's bound to create a court case in the making?
Re: Poll: Do You Care About 60fps on PS5?
Some games are fine at 30fps but anything action orientated should have a 60fps mode if possible.
It's really no different going back generations.
60fps is more responsive. But when gamers demand bleeding edge visuals on a 400 quid box then it's easy to see why some games go 30.

Re: The Free-to-Play Trackmania Boosts onto PS5, PS4 in Early 2023
@thefourfoldroot1
Games that are a level playing field which are also FTP are no problem.
Games which lock weapons with stat boosts behind microtransactions are the problem.
Games like trackmania and rocket league which are FTP are better off that way as it keeps player numbers high.
If people can't resist the shiny shiny skins without spending all their money that's on them.

Re: Poll: What Review Score Would You Give Gran Turismo 7?
9 out of 10 for me.
The single player is not finished as evidenced by the lack of endurance racing and end game content but overall it's been the best GT in a long while.
Add in Sport mode and it's a game that will get a lot of playtime for many years to come.
The always online requirement is a bit of a downer but I can accept that, so long as the outage doesn't happen again.
It is a shame though in terms of game preservation as I was playing GT 3 before launch and know that won't be possible for this in 20 years time.
