A native PlayStation 5 version of A Plague Tale: Innocence has been announced, arriving on 6th July 2021. The game will utilise a 4K resolution at 60 frames-per-second and include further visual enhancements. There will also be support for 3D Audio. A free PS4 to PS5 upgrade is promised for those who already own the game, but there is strong speculation that more than just pre-existing buyers will be playing the PS5 version.
The remaster in question was leaked just before E3 2021 was beamed to our laptop and computer screens alongside claims it would be included in the PS Plus line-up for the month of July 2021. The PS5 version of A Plague Tale: Innocence is now confirmed to release on the same day those free titles drop, meaning the aforementioned rumours are lining up for a launch straight into the service. Next month's PS Plus titles are scheduled to be announced on 30th June 2021, so we'll find out more then.

A fantastic game ! The stealth mechanics are very clunky but the voice acting, atmosphere and story are second to none
'Confirmed, Rumoured' ...you lost me for a minute.
Yes that would be typically a ps+ games I'm interested in since I'd never buy it otherwise and it sounds cool
Releasing on Tuesday 6th pretty much guarantees a ps+ game. Decent game, worth playing, goes off the rails a bit in the last few chapters. The 30fps in the Ps4 version is not very smooth at all, so an upgrade will do it wonders.
I bought this cheap off eBay a couple of years ago on a gamble and it turn out to be a surprise hit for me! Very good characters and a solid adventure.
If it comes to plus I hope it will be available on PS4 also.
Perfect match for PS+
I bought it on sale a good while back although I've still to play it. 60fps mode and I'll absolutely get involved with that.
Definitely a PS Plus game!
I've heard good things so was going to buy it, but then saw it was published by Focus Home Interactive and figured it was destined for PS+ or PS Now so can wait indefinitely.
I've been through it and was appropriately moved and grossed out. A PS5 version would be a fine Plus offering.
Very solid game. If it’s a PS+ game and you haven’t played it I highly recommend it.
That will come in handy as i've never played it and getting the sequel day 1 on gamepass, so this will give me enough time to get through it. It's almost as if they are working in unison.
Cool, this was one of the most underrated PS4 games.
Dope as. Been wanting to play this anyway
I'd be delighted with this!
This looks like a game people could easily overlook. That is if the game is any good tho. From the trailer it seems like it's a nice story based game and I am up for it.
I do remember it being advertised on PS4 year ago or so, tho.
Oh that’s nice!
Really enjoyed the game on PS4. Doesn’t really need to play it again beside all the other games that are available and on my pile of shame but this is a great entry for Ps5 owners that haven’t played the game so far.
Graphic was already beautiful on last gen consoles. Mentioning its Asobos own engine. Asobo Studio is the Developer behind the new flight simulator as well. Highly talented devs!
Had a great time with this game! Great characters, story and graphics. I doubt I will replay it even if it hits PS Plus. Can't wait for the sequel, though!
I still can’t believe Push Square only gave the PS4 version 6/10!
Release date checks out for PS Plus. I wanted to play it at some point so this is great news.
@Bentleyma- Don’t get me started on their Metro Exodus review too 😂
@Akimi if it’s on PS Now there’s a good chance it will be.
oooo good one! I may replay that. The adventure was great and the characters very lovable.
The graphical improvements would be enough to warrant a replay, but it's the 3D Audio that makes me really want to dive in this world again, I hope it's well implemented!
@Bentleyma- Maybe the reviewer had a phobia of rats? Or great games 😉
Great game this one, might very well give it another play through on PS5.
@nessisonett Yeah… 6/10 for that was generous. Deserves a 3 at most!
Very nice. Really liked it. Great single player game.
Sweet!! If this native PS5 version comes to PS Plus that's awesome!
Heard alot of great things about the game.
Loved the game! Played it on my One X thru GamePass. I want a physical version for the collection. I'm guessing PS5 will receive a physical release? If so I'll definitely pick up a copy.
The graphics on my ps4 pro already looks amazing.and i got a 2021 4k samsung tv so its already a amazing looking game.word up son
An instant classic in my opinion I absolutely loved it on PS4 and I can't wait for part 2!
It’s a great game and I never got round to finishing it so I’m glad I can play an upgraded version to do that! I’m assuming save data won’t carry over from PS4 though.
Just now I'm playing it... Too late I guess!
Excellent game plague tale plays very much like the last of us same crafting mechanics and move enemy by distracting them mechanics type gameplay
8/10 from me
@Bentleyma- Push square were the lowest score its critic average on metacritic is 81 with a use score of 8.5

Guess it’s kind of like Biomutant getting a 4 here but has a 64 on Metacritic for PS4. Just add two points to the Push Square score.
This game is such a hidden gem. A lot of my friends didn't know it even existed. I don't know if it's marketing or what, but the fact is it flew by so many people's radar
@SamMR Well, it was an indie game. Too many good indies go under the radar.
Fantastic game, will definitely be upgrading to the PS5 version and playing it again. Also can't wait for the sequel. New IP and it released late into last generation, not surprising it wasn't overly popular but it does seem to have a nice cult following. Hopefully the good word of mouth and this remaster will mean great things for the series this gen.
One of the best looking ps4 games in my book.
I heard great things about this game. Then I watched a gameplay video. I started feeling impending disappointment. So I read a review in the hope the video wasn’t representative but, alas, this really does belong to the most tedious, boring, and monotonous of genres - it’s a stealth game 😟 so hope this isn’t on Plus. Then again, I’m a sucker for a good narrative. Which is how I manage one playthrough of TLoU…
@thefourfoldroot It's really not. You should give it a shot when it hits. The stealth sections, especially as the game goes on, are like puzzles to solve, with the rats being the game changer. It actually gets pretty intense.
Wasn't it already on PS+? I'm pretty sure that's why I have it in my collection.
This is exciting if it's a plus game. Totally one of those games I may like but never confident enough I would spend the money on it.
@hi_drnick Really? I don't think so, and I've always been part of Plus. Could be wrong I guess?
@ILikeStake yeah, I just checked and it is not the case. Faulty memory of mine, sorry!
Went into this game with no expectations and absolutely loved it.
A very good game that would be even better at 4k/60fps. Don't sleep on this one!
Awesome news. Can't wait this game.
WOW that would be an amazing drop on PS Plus! Would be all over that, especially with that next gen upgrade
@Deadhunter
Ok, good to know. If it does come to plus I’ll give it a go, but, yeah…Salk stealth sections can be though of as puzzles to some degree though: “walk here when this avatar is located here and faces this direction, wait, wait, wait some more, now time walking forward as this avatar is located here and faces this direction”
Epic news, especially if the PS+ rumor turns out to be true.
I'd definitely claim it and play the game.
Finally, something good I haven't already bought, but wasn't tempted to buy, seems spot on as a PS + game, hope it's true.
