Very happy with my PS5 so far. Demon's Souls is everything I hoped, Astro Bot is the closest any 3D platformer I've played recently has got to Nintendo standards, and Bugsnax is a fun little game too. Also installed No Man's Sky and Shadow of the Colossus, but haven't tried them out yet.

The controller really is the main talking point - love the triggers and haptics. Feeling individual raindrops on your hands in Astro is so, so cool. Can't wait to see how other games use this.

There's a bit of noise every now and then, like booting up from scratch or installing a game but overall it's been very quiet too and I don't notice it at all while I'm playing. Everything is super slick and it all just looks and feels very high tech and new.

My one and only complaint right now is the PS Store - which really needs an update or two, IMO. No dedicated sales tab is a pain, and I don't seem to be able to find avatars to purchase anymore, which seems a bit weird. I'm sure it'll get better with time though, and having a wishlist on the actual console is great.

I’d love The Outer Wilds, personally. I also wonder if Horizon Zero Dawn might be a possibility as it isn’t in the PS+ collection.

Yeesh some people really need to relax. No, I have no idea who he is either but I still enjoyed the video. Much more interesting than some video games exec doing an unboxing or giving us the same tired old "for the gamers" speech.

TBH I'm not bothered about 120FPS, I'm perfectly happy with 60. But I'd just like some extra bells and whistles at the very least, like enhanced effects or native 4K or whatever they think. Just a shame that there's just nothing new at all.

Argh I really need a sale on Streets of Rage 4 soon. The current price is fine but I just know the second I pick it up it's going to go on sale or PS Plus or something. I should just buy it but I'll probably hang back until I've played through my PS5 launch games a bit at least.

Loved Abzu so I was hoping this would be a good one. It'll be going on the wishlist for sure, can imagine picking it up around Christmas time.

I think it'll have its fans regardless, and I'm happy about that, but it's definitely not for me and the reviews seem to suggest what I expected after seeing the very first trailer.

Definitely grabbing this at some point, it really gives me an impression of being a co-op Tearaway/LBP mashup and I can really imagine having a lot of fun with my wife on this one as we were both constantly leaning over each other's shoulders when we played Tearaway back in the day on our Vitas. The chance to have that as a shared experience is very appealing.

It looks amazing and the new face is way, way better than the original. Really can't wait to play it!

I really hope this is because they’re working on proper DualSense and 3D audio support or something. Very disappointing otherwise and I won’t download it again until there’s a proper update, personally.

I really can't wait to get this, but I'll be holding out for the PS5 version.

I've got the Friday off, figured I'd let everything update/install on the day, maybe play some Astro Bot in the evening and then spend an entire day with Demon's Souls on the 20th. Can't wait!

Fully expect they'll be back in a special edition one day, looking forward to seeing what they come up with.

Glad this won't be another "gang of teenagers" scenario, as much as I enjoyed the other games. Looking forward to this!

This is sounding more and more up my street as I hear more about it. Looking forward to the Push Square review. It sounds like it's a lot less bloated and a little easier to play through than the previous games which is exactly what I wanted. I don't have time for many 100-hour adventures these days so a tighter story and less focus on side quests sounds great.

Finally! Hope there are substantial improvements for PS5, too.

The only thing I'll say here is that the scaling back on the business doesn't necessarily mean less Japanese-inspired games for us to play. It just might mean less of it is in-house or exclusive to Sony.

I’ll be interested to try both, The Last Guardian still managed to be one of the best games of the generation even at a lower frame rate so I’ll be happy either way I expect.

@Bigkopman I wonder if they've left that out for plot reasons, possibly to introduce in Spider-Man 2...? Would be pretty cool to play the storyline properly!

"More of the same" is fine when it comes to Spider-Man. Adored the first one and really excited to play this even if it's an expansion rather than a sequel.

I was buying this the second they revealed that crayfish/lobster summon. Can't wait.

Day one is all about Demon's Souls, but I'll be picking up Miles Morales ASAP after that. Bugsnax I'll get with PS Plus and looking forward to it. After that, I'll be upgrading my copy of No Man's Sky and hopefully picking up Sakcboy at some point. Also interested in Assassin's Creed but it's much lower priority than the rest at the moment.

Sounds good to me, got a few other games on the go at the moment but will get it at some point for sure.

Can we transfer a game from a PS4 to PS5 via USB drive? Asking as I'd like to try it with PT!

Those animations are just incredible. It's perfect and I love it! The real question is, can we outfit both Peter and Miles in the matching Spider-Verse suits for the sections where they're both together?

Really glad to hear Sony's commitment to this, I know a few people with eyesight conditions that can sometimes struggle to play games, and this kind of stuff really does make a huge difference to them.

I’m very much adopting a “wait and see” approach for this game as I can imagine quite a bit changing in its first year on sale. I really hope they have a successful launch though, I’d hate for the devs to go through so much only to have a flop on their hands.

Played this on PC a while back and really enjoyed the first episode, but they do kinda drop off after that. If you see it cheap enough I'd say it's worth it for that first one alone, but very fair review overall.

Directors Cut DLC ahoy!

Holy moly. This is the launch title I'm getting and I could not be more excited. It looks stunning. The lighting effect when the first boss was defeated made me audibly go "oooooooh..."

It looks absolutely charming in the way that a good Nintendo platformer does. Can't wait to give it a spin.

Great start to PS5 if you ask me. Astro included and Bugsnax with PS Plus? Lovely. Definitely grabbing Hollow Knight as well, got it on Switch but will definitely take a PS5 version with haptic feedback enhancements! Plus there's loads of games on the PS Plus Collection that I'll be taking for a spin. So Demon's Souls if the only game I'll actually be buying outright at launch.

Hope it turns out good - it would be such a shame for the developers to go through such well-publicized stress and pressure only to have no result at the end of it. As far as my understanding of submission goes, I'm pretty sure that the build would have to be approved and tested before going to manufacture as that whole process is managed by Sony and MS respectively. Might be wrong but pretty sure that's how it works.

As an attach rate, that's not a million miles off 50% of PS users picking up the premium sub. That's very impressive. I'd love to know how Game Pass fares by comparison.

Tales of Vesperia for £8.99 is amazing though, I think I'll be grabbing that as I've been wanting it for a while.

Good to see that the excitement and demand is there, but yeah it’s not all that surprising. Covid is bound to have increased demand as well. Bizarrely enough I wasn’t planning to preorder originally but just kinda got lucky with GAME when they put a few cancelled bundles back online.

1440p is important because lots of people like to game on monitors, and having 4k on a monitor of that size is largely pointless. Lower resolution and high frame rate is the way to go on those kinds of displays - which in the influencer/streaming world we live in are now becoming more popular for consoles. Not everyone plays on their main TV in the living room and it would be great for Sony to support that. You'd think it wouldn't be too hard to do, so fingers crossed.

It doesn't affect me - I play on my main TV for the most part and I'm not particularly fussed about 120fps personally, but I can totally get why it would be a priority for other people.

I've been toying with getting started with this series for ages and knowing it's got a satisfying ending to this main arc is really good to know. Might be time to get stuck in!

The Last of Us 1 and 2 are up there with my favourite games of all time, and definitely have their horror moments, but if I was choosing out-and-out horror games for a horror fan the winners would be Resi 7, Resi 2, Bloodborne, Until Dawn and PT.

Very intrigued to see if I could get PT on my PS5 this way! Still got it on my PS4 and want to sell it but if there's a way of transferring it over I'd really like to do it.
