@HRdepartment I’ve only played the first Nioh, but I loved it. They really did a great job with it. I bought Sekiro on release and was so disappointed with it, for what ever reason I decided to give it another go when it was on sale on Steam. I through on my Steam Deck and immediately became obsessed with it. I always appreciated the combat even when I didn’t care for the game, but this time every thing perfectly synced up. Now it’s my favorite combat system and my favorite Souls-like.
I caved and bought Two Point Museum and I’m adoring it. It’s not typically my cup of tea, but I’ve been in the mood for a low key relaxing game like this.
This is a rare weekend that I actually get a good amount of gaming time. I’ll continue making my way through Tails of Iron and Avowed. I also grabbed Captain Toad Treasure Tracker, so I’ll spend some time with that. Finally, I randomly decided to throw on Burnout Paradise last night. I’m not much of a race game fan but I enjoy Burnout, I was having a great time with it last night.
Fantastic news for Capcom and I’m glad to hear it’s really delivering for fans. I’ve played a couple of them, but the series just isn’t for me, sales like these show that it’s clearly a me thing though.
I’ve been loving Turbo Overkill on Steam Deck. Colin was talking about it on Sacred Symbols and I thought it sounded great. I managed to get it for under $4 on CD Keys. I might also play some Avowed if I get a chance after the kids go to bed.
My Steam Deck is my most used system, I didn’t even have Steam prior to it. It’s tough for me to find game time, but SD helps with that. I’ll play it when the kids are watching something on tv, I’ll randomly jump on it during my lunch break, I also use it when I have time waiting for my son to get out of school. I was reluctant to buy it but it’s been worth every cent.
@themightyant oh right! I completely forgot it was announced for Game Pass. I tend to lean more towards Xbox just because I prefer the controller, I believe my wife does as well.
@themightyant I’m glad you said that, my wife will love this game so I was going to buy it for her, I didn’t realize it was on PS+. I suppose I should have read the article. 😂
@dardel I definitely agree with you on that. There’s a really great satisfaction to just plowing through mobs of enemies, but after a little while it looses its luster for me. Though I haven’t played one in quite a while so it’s possible I’d enjoy it more, especially if they are good for picking up and putting down since I don’t get a much game time these days.
@Kraven that’s awesome! I’m glad I posted it. I’m about ten hours in and I haven’t even left the first chapter yet because I’ve just been running around exploring. It’s brutally hard but such a fantastic game. I hope you enjoy it!
I started Drova Forsaken Kin on my Steam Deck this week. It’s such an incredible game, the combat is fun, I love the leveling system, the world is well thought out, it’s gorgeous, the story is intriguing, and it has some pretty good humor (looking at you dog that stole my meat while I was petting you). I highly recommend it if you enjoy tough RPGs.
I haven’t played this yet, but anyone who gives this a 1 is either touched in the head or has never played a video game before. Just for all of the different systems in this game it’s worth a few points more than that at least.
I was on board day one. The more I see of it the better it looks, I can’t wait at all for this one. I may even outright buy it even though I have Game Pass just to speak with my wallet.
I’m playing a good amount this weekend. My main focus is Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. I’ve been playing Lies of P on Steam Deck. I also fired up Ninja Gaiden 2 Black, which plays as beautifully as I remember. Finally, I played a game that i believe I’m the only person on the planet that enjoys it, Crackdown 3. It’s considered an awful game, but I have fun every time I play it.
@__jamiie they’re such great games. Admittedly, 3 is a blind spot for me. I got pretty far into it, but I borrowed my friend’s copy, he ended up taking it back before I beat it. It’s one I’ve been wanting to go back to, I didn’t find it nearly as bad as others did.
@ItsAlwaysSunnyyy Ninja Gaiden II is a direct sequel to the original, if I remember correct. My guess would be that they didn’t bother doing the first one because they’ve already done Ninja Gaiden Sigma and Ninja Gaiden Black in the past, though I could be wrong. I was just playing it last week on the collection and it really holds up well, the graphics, sound, and gameplay all are still great. If you like action games, I can’t recommend Ninja Gaiden Sigma or Black enough, I’ve probably bought and played that game more than any other game.
@PsBoxSwitchOwner it’s this one person going off that they’re a “real gamer” and that anyone that likes Astro like games for five year olds and aren’t real gamers. Any time someone gives any comment that completely shoots down their comments they just retort with Astro being for five year olds and that others are just whining cry babies.
Astro was uncontestedly my GotY, I haven’t had that much genuine fun with a game in a very long time. It knows what it is and it doesn’t try to do more than that. The fact that I can sit with my kids and play it certainly helps, but I’d have bought it even if I didn’t have them.
Astro was easily my GotY, I haven’t played a game that brought me that much joy and genuine fun in a very long time. We don’t get many games like that anymore. It was light hearted, great gameplay, didn’t overstay its welcome, and great for both kids and adults.
Possibly Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, but I doubt I’ll get the time. If not I might squeeze in some Cyberpunk and Megaman X Drive Offline on Steam Deck.
My game plans for Christmas vacation are sitting on a beach in Aruba with a drink in hand, my Steam Deck will accompany me for the flight, but that’s about it.

Re: Poll: What Are Your Thoughts on Bloodborne, 10 Years Later?
I enjoy it but I honestly think it’s overrated. In my opinion Sekiro is easily their best game and the best combat system in any game.

I’m all in on Avowed this weekend and I’m loving it. It didn’t catch me at the beginning but after an hour or two it really pulled me in.

Warriors games are those games that always seem appealing but then I get bored quick. At least this has a good price point if I decide to try it.
