@PlatinumMikey Stellar Blade’s gameplay is fantastic, I really enjoyed that game. Expedition is obviously a different style, but the store is really intriguing, the gameplay is my favorite turn based system, the music is incredible, and the characters are all great. It just all comes together masterfully. I hope you enjoy it!
@PlatinumMikey I loved Stellar Blade, it’s a really great game, it doesn’t compete with Expedition 33 for me. I’d definitely say Expedition for your next Plat.
@MrPeanutbutterz I’m right there with you. I have absolutely no interest in speed runs, but it does take an impressive amount of skill that I have to tip my hat to.
@MichaelNau Transistor is such a great soundtrack. I’m a metal head, but there’s just something about that lounge jazz style that hits. There’s so many great tracks on this album!
@MichaelNau I couldn’t agree more. It’s up there with FFVII and Bastion as my favorite soundtrack. Lost Voice is one of the most beautiful songs I’ve ever heard.
@KingPev I finished South of Midnight in around ten hours as well. Most people didn’t like the combat but I thought it got a little better once you unlocked everything. The story and animation were both beautifully done and worth playing just for that.
@rusty82 I’m really enjoying it. The story is much darker than I expected, which I love. The traversal is pretty fun. The combat is the weakest part of the game, but I’ve played worse. The fact that it’s a fairly short game is great for me too. If it comes (when it likely comes) to PS5 I definitely recommend it.
I’m about halfway through South of Midnight, while the combat could be better, I’m adoring the world and story. I’ll keep continuing on with that journey. I’ve also been playing Minecraft a good amount. I couldn’t stand it for the longest time, I saw why people loved it, but it wasn’t for me. Unfortunately, my son fell in love with it and constantly asked me to play, but I’d only play every now and then. I went to play South of Midnight the other day and it had a huge update so I had to wait, I decided to give Minecraft one last try on Survival and I loved it. It finally clicked and I saw why everyone enjoyed it so much.
That great news, I’ve been looking forward to this one. My wife doesn’t do a ton of gaming but this one is definitely her style, even if I don’t like it, I’m sure she’ll love it.
I played it for a bit through Game Pass, but decided to buy it for my Steam Deck. It seemed like a good SD game and the few things I’ve seen about it in there said it played great on it.
This and Expedition 33 are my two most anticipated games right now. I’ve been on complete media blackout on both, I’ve been sold since they were announced.
@HRdepartment I’ve only played the first Nioh, but I loved it. They really did a great job with it. I bought Sekiro on release and was so disappointed with it, for what ever reason I decided to give it another go when it was on sale on Steam. I through on my Steam Deck and immediately became obsessed with it. I always appreciated the combat even when I didn’t care for the game, but this time every thing perfectly synced up. Now it’s my favorite combat system and my favorite Souls-like.
I caved and bought Two Point Museum and I’m adoring it. It’s not typically my cup of tea, but I’ve been in the mood for a low key relaxing game like this.
This is a rare weekend that I actually get a good amount of gaming time. I’ll continue making my way through Tails of Iron and Avowed. I also grabbed Captain Toad Treasure Tracker, so I’ll spend some time with that. Finally, I randomly decided to throw on Burnout Paradise last night. I’m not much of a race game fan but I enjoy Burnout, I was having a great time with it last night.
Fantastic news for Capcom and I’m glad to hear it’s really delivering for fans. I’ve played a couple of them, but the series just isn’t for me, sales like these show that it’s clearly a me thing though.
I’ve been loving Turbo Overkill on Steam Deck. Colin was talking about it on Sacred Symbols and I thought it sounded great. I managed to get it for under $4 on CD Keys. I might also play some Avowed if I get a chance after the kids go to bed.
My Steam Deck is my most used system, I didn’t even have Steam prior to it. It’s tough for me to find game time, but SD helps with that. I’ll play it when the kids are watching something on tv, I’ll randomly jump on it during my lunch break, I also use it when I have time waiting for my son to get out of school. I was reluctant to buy it but it’s been worth every cent.
@themightyant oh right! I completely forgot it was announced for Game Pass. I tend to lean more towards Xbox just because I prefer the controller, I believe my wife does as well.
@themightyant I’m glad you said that, my wife will love this game so I was going to buy it for her, I didn’t realize it was on PS+. I suppose I should have read the article. 😂
@dardel I definitely agree with you on that. There’s a really great satisfaction to just plowing through mobs of enemies, but after a little while it looses its luster for me. Though I haven’t played one in quite a while so it’s possible I’d enjoy it more, especially if they are good for picking up and putting down since I don’t get a much game time these days.
@Kraven that’s awesome! I’m glad I posted it. I’m about ten hours in and I haven’t even left the first chapter yet because I’ve just been running around exploring. It’s brutally hard but such a fantastic game. I hope you enjoy it!

Should have gone with Chris Raygun’s suggestion of Self-Harm Squad Unalives the Justice League, maybe it’d do better.

Re: Expedition 33 Is Increasing in Popularity with Each Successive Week
@MichaelNau I completely agree with you. It’s like the music of Hi-Fi Rush without the it ACTUALLY being a part of the gameplay.

I’m so obsessed with this game, if I’m not playing it, I’m thinking about or I’m listening to the soundtrack. I just can’t get enough.

The only game that matters right now, Expedition 33!

Re: Poll: What Are Your Thoughts on Bloodborne, 10 Years Later?
I enjoy it but I honestly think it’s overrated. In my opinion Sekiro is easily their best game and the best combat system in any game.

Warriors games are those games that always seem appealing but then I get bored quick. At least this has a good price point if I decide to try it.
