Update #3 []: You waited seven years, so what harm was another two hours, eh?
Hollow Knight: Silksong is now finally available to purchase on the PS5 and PS4, for £15.99/$19.99.
The game had been scheduled to deploy at 7AM PT / 3PM BST but a massive cock-up on Sony’s end mean the title has dropped a couple of hours later on PlayStation platforms.
To be fair, it hasn’t been smooth sailing elsewhere: the indie hit temporarily crashed storefronts like Steam and the Nintendo eShop as well.

Update #2 []:
Hollow Knight: Silksong is starting to become available on other platforms — like PC and Switch 2 — if you try hard enough with multiple system refreshes. However, an hour after it was supposed to go live, the game still isn't available on PS5 or PS4.
There are e502 l3 errors on Steam, as the PC platform continually crashes. However, PS5, PS4 players simply just have a wishlist page to look at. The game wasn't available to pre-order or pre-load, so everyone on PlayStation is trying to buy it at once.

Update #1 []:
It was inevitable, wasn't it? You've waited seven years for Hollow Knight: Silksong, so what's another 30 minutes or so? The big sequel from Team Cherry was supposed to go live at 3pm BST today, but as the time has been and gone, every storefront the game is supposed to launch on has been brought to its knees.
Now, when you search for the game on the PS Store, nothing appears. There was a wishlist page, but that's gone now.
Steam is breaking for PC players, you can't buy it on Xbox, and the Nintendo eShop page is displaying an error when you try to button through.

Original Story: The moment that Hollow Knight fans have waited more than half a decade for has finally, finally arrived: its huge follow-up Hollow Knight: Silksong is out now across all major platforms, including PS5 and PS4.
You can start downloading the sequel now, with the title priced at £19.99 / €19.99 / $19.99. Absolutely no review code has been distributed for Hollow Knight: Silksong, so we'll be playing alongside all of you. While we absolutely do wish to deliver a timely verdict on the game, we won't be rushing our way through the sequel.
As the lethal hunter Hornet, adventure through a kingdom ruled by silk and song! Captured and taken to this unfamiliar world, prepare to battle mighty foes and solve ancient mysteries as you ascend on a deadly pilgrimage to the kingdom’s peak.
Hollow Knight: Silksong was announced seven years ago, originally as a DLC for the first game, which then expanded into a full sequel. There have been so many years of silence since then, and repeated questioning around whether the project would ever see the light of day, but now it's a reality.
