Sekiro Anime

Rumours of an anime based on Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice have been floating around for at least a couple of years, but new evidence suggests that the project is very much real.

As spotted by ResetEra user vestan, gigantic Japanese conglomerate Kadokawa (FromSoftware's primary owner) appears to have registered a web domain for the supposed show, aptly listed as sekiro-anime.jp. The registration of such a domain often suggests that an official announcement is coming soon(ish).

It goes without saying that a Sekiro anime could work really well, assuming the animation quality is tip top when it comes to the action.

Speaking of which, previous rumours had pegged animation studio Qzil.la as the team behind this project — a relatively unknown company which has, as far as we can tell, only worked on a handful of things (including an ending animation for the popular Chainsaw Man).

Do you think a Sekiro anime sounds like a good idea? Would you be up for watching it? Start drooling over some of those parry-based action scenes in the comments section below.
