After a quiet summer period, video games are starting to come out again, and Gamescom is in full swing as its two big weekend days open the doors to the public. Here are the games occupying our time this Saturday and Sunday.
Aaron Bayne
With some early access granted, I'll be checking out The Outer Worlds 2 this weekend.
Jamie O'Neill
Shinobi: Art of Vengeance releases on Friday 29th August, but since my Limited Run Games copy will take longer to arrive, I'll play its recent demo, as well as Shinobi III: Return of the Ninja Master via the PSP's SEGA Mega Drive Collection on my PS Vita.
Stephen Tailby
I'm still mostly playing through a game for work reasons, but if I get some extra time, I'd love to play through Sword of the Sea. I've played the first hour or so and I'm really looking forward to diving in headfirst.
That's what we're putting our free time into this weekend, but how about you? Let us know your gaming plans in the comments below.

This weekend I will have new tries at games I could not beat or get far into
First stop is Lords of the Fallen. I could not continue playing this after I reached the hub area (beating the angel lady boss). I do not know why.
Creaks is really cute indie quest/adventure game.
Resident Evil 3 Nemesis is harder for me than the rest of the RE games. Maybe it is the tank controls. I wish it had the analog controls
Half-Life for the PS2. I really wish to beat yet another version of the Half-Life franchise
Happy gaming everyone!!!
Finally beat Gold stake on Balatro so will be trying different decks/challenges later on.
Need to get on the PC to finish Half Life 2 and start Sons of the Forest but Balatro and Diablo IV are so bloody addictive 😂.
I’ve made a start on GOW: Ragnarok and my word that game is awesome. Makes me angry I waited so long to play it!
Anyways that’s me sorted for the next 3 days.
Have a great gaming weekend Pushsquarians! 🍻
Playing and enjoying Mafia The Old Country - i understand the criticisms of its basic gameplay and it is basic indeed but im loving the overall vibe and presentation
Replaying the greatest RTS ever made in Dawn Of War Remastered Definitive Edition ...superb, Relic in their prime, bringing back memories of this game taking over my life in 2004.
Gonna take new character Sagat ( crazy that he's DLC ) online in Streetfighter 6 for a few bouts
Have a great weekend guys and gals ❤️
@Zuljaras ..have you played Black Mesa? The definitive version!
I'm currently on vacation so I'm playing Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 in my mind by thinking about good pictos combinations for conquering the endgame dungeons.
Continuing my first playthrough of The Last of Us Part 2 this weekend. What a rollercoaster it has been. The gameplay enhancements have been great and so far there has been none of what I call 'emergent frustration', which is a criticism I have of some other Naughty Dog games, where you feel like you're repeating a section over and over until you get lucky.
The tension and atmosphere have been fantastic with lots of close escapes and near misses, both scripted and from general gameplay, and I can't wait to see what the game throws at me next.
Have a great weekend all.
I played the bf6 beta with my oldest Son last weekend and he wanted to play another shooter. I bought him Hell Let Loose so thats what we gonna play.
A couple of days ago they revealed Hell Let Loose Vietnam and Im ffn hyped!
Have a great weekend!
@KingPev Half of it on the Steam Deck. Then it bugged and I left it there. I might start it again
With the Premier League back my gaming time has fallen, but I’ve still managed to chug away at Mafia: The Old Country, which is a great game. My favourite part is the location; Sicily is stunning! There are so many games coming out soon it’s not even funny. Gears is definitely next up, then Silksong. Happy weekend everybody!
Gonna play one of my all time favourites in the original Resident Evil 2, this time on PS5 and I'll see if I can beat my recent Dreamcast playthrough
Just finishing up Death Stranding 2, think I'm right at the end. Really enjoyable game and highly polished, some cut scenes are wild in the greatest possible way. 9/10.
Probably a bit of co-op Aliens: Fireteam Elite… solid multiplayer fun, especially when on a difficulty with friendly fire 😅
Wuchang for me, hopefully get it finished in time for MGS Delta next week.
Beat Clair Obscur after taking my sweet time and exploring almost everywhere, was quite overpowered the final fight was a walk in a park. Such an adorable, unique game overall. Missing the lovely music, weird enemies, everything already. Still on KCD2, one of the most immersive games out there but whose idea was with the lock picking design - too hardcore but a lovely game nonetheless. Playing Burning Shores, HFW is just too gorgeous and plays like a dream. Plus some EAWRC also, been a while what with all these RPGs I keep piling up.
Still playing Hades. It's an awesome game that I can't recommend highly enough. The more I play, the more it surprises me with things I didn't expect to see in a rogeulike.
I'm quite close to getting the platinum, but I will keep playing it till I unlock everything (btw, this never happens to me).
I'll buy Hades II day 1 when it comes to ps5.
Farcy 3, and in between Helldivers 2 and Vermintide 2.
I am on to the Nebula deck in Balatro, so no doubt I will give that a few tries, then it'll be a lengthy session on Kingdom Come Deliverance. It's not made me obsessive like Balatro, but it's ok for a £5 slow burn.
I’ll be playing Harold halibut, dk bananza and will be picking away at the platinum in sword of the sea.
Back in World of Warcraft
@Zuljaras I beat RE3 on PS1 back in the day, but I don't think I would have the patience for it nowadays. The tank controls put me right off. I tried Code Veronica a couple of years ago and bounced right off it because of the controls.
Continuing with elden ring. Trying to find some high strength/faith weapons to take me to my final build, which I want to be dual wielding magma blades. Still relatively early in the game having only just beaten Margit and Godfriend story wise, but have been enjoying the side exploration.
Once I realised grinding in certain spots brings far more experience than normal play, and that you don’t lose items upon death, the stress of the game was reduced immeasurably and I’m now enjoying the game far more without worrying about dying.
Might play the new Prince of Persia roguelike at some point, but I’m really caught up in ER at the moment.
Edit: PoP trophy challenges are not working, so guess I’ll wait to have them available.
Not back at work until Tuesday, so I'll be having a Death Standing 2: On the Beach marathon. Hoping to finish it before Metal Gear Solid ∆: Snake Eater releases. Might also play a bit of Delta Force on the side.
Been addicted to New World Aeternum so will be playing that most of Sunday. Also playing some Oppidum Co-op later, which is a surprisingly good, although slightly simplistic survival game. Want to get it out the way so we can crack on with the new Coral Island co-op mode.
Thinking about jumping back into Monster Hunter World. Will be playing Street Fighter 6 too.
Summum Aeterna

Another Roguelike Metroidvania this week. Perfect "listening to music while playing" game for me.
I also tried getting my friends into VR by making them play Dirt Rally 2 with wheel/pedals, but they only lasted about 10 seconds before motion sickness made them claw their way out of the headset like there was a poisonous spider in it.
I'll be continuing with Batman Arkham Knight and playing a bit more of Diablo 4. Tried out Delta Force but not sure I'll keep playing it performance is a bit dodgy and most of my matches have been pretty laggy.
I finished Forbidden West’s Burning Shores campaign last night. What a game, really good stuff. I enjoyed it even more than Zero Dawn Remastered. The whole character arc of the Burning Shores would’ve been better off as part of the main campaign I think, as the story beats and character development do feel rather rushed being crammed into a DLC expansion. What’s there is good, it just needed more room to breathe to feel natural. The final boss sequence was a pretty darn cool spectacle. The whole thing is a bit bittersweet knowing that Lance Reddick sadly passed away, but Sylens is such a great character I really hope that they keep him in the third game despite this, which is credit to his acting talent in bringing that character to life.
Brilliant game overall, but I hope they improve the upgrade system in the next one because OMG farming for the weapon/armour/pouch upgrades is so incredibly tedious and boring. Weapon wheel could also be streamlined I feel (why can’t I change weapons and equip coils there instead of having to go into inventory?). Also the constant pausing the action to craft ammo feels unnecessary busywork.
Playing:
Finished
Beat Leon A scenario in 3 hours without using First aid spray and save only 7x times; got B rank. I still love this game no matter how many times i beat it.
Have a great weekend everyone 🍻
Hellblade - finished and platinumed. really enjoy this game, great upgrade imo.
Hellblade II - I went straight on with Hellblade II. Played it on the S at release but playing it on the Pro in 60 fps is a huge upgrade. The game simply looks amazing. I´ve finished the story and I feel like I enjoyed it more this time for some reason. No platinum yet, the ***** added a new trophy meaning you need to finish the game in Dark Rot Mode, meaning its on hard and you can only die a total of four times with most enemies killing you with 2 hits or even 1... Will probably give that up but still, really enjoyed the game. Neither of the Hellblade games are for everyone, but if you like these kind of games they are very good imo.
Delta Force - Nah. I had some hopes for this but its really not good, looks like crap and its buggy and badly optimized. Moving on.
Forza Horizon 5 - still going strong, still working on that last trophy and still having fun!
Sword of the sea - I’ve only just started, played maybe 20 minutes but this seems very, very good and I’m likely going to enjoy this a lot!
Happy gaming 🙂
@Cakefish I recently finished the Zero Dawn Remaster and if you mean pausing the game and going into the inventory to craft ammo, you can do it from the weapon wheel. Unless bringing that up is what you meant, In which case ignore me!
@mac_da_man wonderful to hear that you enjoyed Hellblade 1+2. I'll likely wait for a price cut before getting Hellblade 2 myself.
@Kiefer-Sutherland yeah, I mean weapon wheel ammo crafting. It’s certainly not the end of the world, just feels a bit tedious after a while to always having to bring that up to craft more ammo. The higher level machines are very tanky and you inevitably burn through a lot of ammo in those fights. Upgrading ammo pouches obviously helps a lot, but then my complaints about the tedious upgrade resource farming comes into play. From my experience, in Forbidden West, Spike Throwers are the best weapon class - highly recommend them! Tonnes of damage dealt, so less need for constant ammo crafting and they knock down opponents often allowing for critical strikes with the spear. They became my go-to weapon class for much of the game.
@mac_da_man I seem to be the only person who LOVED Hellblade 2....I loved the depressing, dank, dark atmosphere and how cinematic the whole game was. Not played the upgrade yet but certainly will
I will continued playing fan favorite the incredible blasphemous.i will also continued playing the smash hit the awsome wolfenstein the old blood.i will also continued playing one of the best video games ever made in the amazing remnant from the ashes. I will also be playing one of the best jrpgs ever in the wonderful ni no kuni 2 revenant kingdom.i will also be playing one of the best video games ever made in the terific resident evil 7 gold edition. I will also be continued playing the underrated classic the excellent nier replicant.and I will continued playing one of the best video games sequels ever in the phenomenal middle earth shadow of war definitive edition. My pittsburgh steelers 💛🖤 won theyre final preseason game.now waiting for the regular season.I will also be watching legendary sitcoms TV 📺 comedy shows in family matters.good times.the Jeffersons.sanford and son.different strokes.and saved by the bell.word up son
Because 330 hours Death Stranding 2 wasn't enough, I've gone back to platinum Death Stranding 1. I may have a problem.
Also finished RE8 and the excellent Shadows of Rose DLC
I will be playing some more GT7 and Assetto corsa competitions with my T598 wheel. Really getting in to the latter of those 2 games. May try a bit more Ready or not but I'm stuck on a mission in a postal sorting office and keep getting wiped out so gave it a break for a bit.
Got a lovely long weekend ahead of me, and due to a new Lego Batman game getting announced. I’m replaying Lego DC supervillains as I never finished it. I think it’s honestly one of my favourite Lego games.
King of meat and delta force
Robocop unfinished business and some black ops 6 multiplayer maybe some saints row the third remastered aswell!
Happy weekend people ✌️
I finally surrendered on First Beserker as the final boss is above me.
So I’ve poured time into finishing Ragebound and that was a phenomenal 2D Ninja Gaiden game.
I also checked out Sword of the Sea and loved it.
So now I’m waiting on Hell is Us and playing Wuchang in the meantime.
My love of Ubisoft comfort games continues with AC Odyssey and Immortals: Fenyx Rising.
Been playing Resident Evil Remaster.I am playing on Easy mode I admit but I have played this game so many times back in the day I just want a relaxed easy playthough...So much for that I totally forgot key locations and monster locations, giving me frights all over again!
Did start Star Wars Outlaws but the very old Panasonic tv I've had to play on is so dark it's barely playable. Will have my 4k Samsung brought up soon but to worried about a lumbar puncture soon to bother just yet.
Enjoy your weekend all!
I moved overseas a few months ago and sold my PS5 Pro to not only help pay for my flight but also to push me to get stuck into my enormous PS3 backlog once I settled in.
I recently had a blast playing through Hitman: Absolution (finally got to see The Saints from that memorable E3 trailer in action! ) and, thanks to all the Battlefield 6 beta hype, I was inspired to blitz through the campaign of Battlefield 3 for the very first time. I especially loved the Comrades mission in Paris since some of the colour schemes and office designs in that level brought back memories of playing Mirror’s Edge many years ago.
This weekend I’m looking forward to getting back into Never Dead as well trying to decide on what to play next.
Happy gaming everyone!
Playing
Hitman WoA
Atelier Yumia
Just beat chapter 8 of Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth. Dyne was a pain, hard boss fight. Doing the final sweep in Uncharted The Lost Legacy (PS5) and Soul Reaver 2, and continuing Yakuza 6 and Death Stranding Director's Cut.
On the TV side, there are a few episodes of Wednesday to watch with my beloved. Happy days my friends!!
Doing a bit of a detox this weekend. At most I'll do a few rounds on Nightreign with my usual group, but other than that I think I'll take a few weeks off games before going back to chasing the plat in FF VII Rebirth.
Still on the awesome DK Bananza, can't beat a good 3D platform game in my opinion.
Nearly finished the PS5 version of Hellblade 1, very cinematic and engaging game but can see why people call the series a walking sim, still like it.
Also having quick blasts on Rogue Prince of Persia which I'm enjoying and was a great stealth Plus addition.
This weekend I’m not playing anything. My wife and I surprised our daughter with her first ever tickets to a concert in Chicago, so that’s where we will be for the next couple of days. It will be our first time there, so we are going to do all of the touristy things. To say I’m excited to finally try Chicago deep dish pizza for the first time is an understatement.
However, throughout the week I decided to start a fresh playthrough in Baldur’s Gate 3. I’ve done this twice - both times reaching the end of Act 2, but getting fatigued and putting the game down for a long while. It’s truly a special game, but I have a tendency to implement the same style of play each time - a high elf, rogue assassin that focuses on stealth and archery. I do this with The Elder Scrolls, too.
This time I’m making a devoted effort to play in different ways. For starters, I’m a Dwarf with the subclass of Paladin. Secondly, I have a terrible habit of save scumming and being a good guy. While I will still be good, I’m going to choose dialogue options that are appropriate rather than solely choosing the “right” response, and whatever the dice rolls I am going to allow myself to accept the decision, good or bad. And lastly, I’m going to try new character abilities during combat. I generally play it safe and focus on raw strength and advantages rather than coming up with unique methods to approach combat, or not at all.
So far, my experimentation has turned out quite well. Who knew using magic was so fun? I’m throughly enjoying how I approach every situation and living with the results. Moreover, by doing so, I’m discovering unexpected side quests that I never found in my first two endeavors, and branching narratives that I can tell will have an impact later on. I’m really curious to see how things evolve.
The one thing that will never change: romancing Shadowheart. That will remain a constant until Gale decides to end us all with an explosion of jealousy and addiction. And on an unrelated side note - I’m praying for a Nintendo Switch 2 port because I’ll be doing a lot of traveling this upcoming year and it would be the perfect companion piece.
Wanted some good Gunplay but going back to Destiny 2 is just impossible now, it’s so oversaturated with menus and items and currencies and overlapping UIs. So I started a new Borderlands 3 play through which is going well.
I’m aiming to beat Death Stranding 2 before Silksong comes out, though I won’t be home for most of the weekend, so… yes…
I did bring my Switch 2 along with me though and so I’ll likely fire up UFO 50 and Chibi Robo in the meantime.
@ErrantRob I'm also on the last Boss and beat the 2nd phase halfway before falling. Toughest game for me but I love it!
Still Death Stranding 2, every day since release. I think I’m around 75% now. Also doing my daily GT7 rounds to hopefully receive one of those Ferrari invites after years of waiting.
Ive become enamoured of a fun little rpg Sand Land which is fun and charming as long as you are not looking for anything too serious. Its also on PS plus, so costs nothing to try if you are on that service, and I do recommend it!
Still playing Forza 5 on a second run through and just starting the dlc tracks. Ive always loved Forza Horizon.
Im hoping to try the new Prince of Persia 2d game too, thats looking great.
Whatever you are playing this weekend, I hope you have fun.
@PCPS4XB That is where I stopped! I can do the first phase with my eyes closed but I just cannot get reflections down in the second phase enough to get through him. And then thinking about having a third phase to master has just completely shut me down.
Been spending most of my time travelling around doing side stuffs on Assassins Creed Shadows. Ive also been playing loads of the excellent Forza 5. I’ve got Gears of war pre downloaded on the ps5. Just hearing the music & seeing Gears of war on the ps5 feels surreal. Can’t wait to be playing this excellent game.
I am playing Rogue Trader. It is my first Warhammer 40K game, and I am really enjoying it!
I just started Act 2. I sense this will be my gaming world for quite some time. 😃
@Titntin I finished Sandland a few months ago, and I am glad to find people playing it. “Charming” is exactly the right word for it. Hope you have fun! It was a pleasant surprise for me.
Been having one of those "i cant be arsed playing anything weeks" a strange phenomenon, hope i break out of it soon.
@naruball Supergiant never misses. Never.
I just have one trophy left for 100% in Resident Evil 7 which is to complete the DLC mode Ethan Must Die. It’s fairly challenging so it may take the weekend to get it done. I’ve really enjoyed the variety and amount of content the DLC for RE7 offers. Wish more games did their DLC like that. Hope everyone enjoys whatever they’re playing this weekend!!
Mom hasn't been able to drive in a couple years, so I bought her car. Bought a new battery for it yesterday, and it needs a new canister purge valve. I'll throw some air in the tires, seafoam in the gas tank, check the oil, and take it for a spin. Also need to hunt down a parasitic battery drain, swap out the cabin filter, and scrub the interior since she smoked in it. Yuck. After it's all good to go and it's had a bath, my niece is going to drive it. Should be a good vehicle for her. So, I guess you could say I'll be playing "Shade Tree Auto Mechanic."
On PS5, I'll work my way through the demo of Trails in the Sky and poke through games in my backlog to see what sticks. I really want to finish some of the RPGs that I dropped like Soul Hackers 2, Fantasian, and Metaphor.
If I'm feeling RPG fatigue, I could just bask on the beauty that is fixed camera angles, tank controls, and mutated bio weapons and see if I still have it in me to do a sub 2 hour no damage run of RE2.
Have a fantastic weekend, everybody.
Just got home about 15 mins ago so I'm going to have a cuppa and try earth defense force 6 but I know full well I'll be jumping onto either GT7 or EA wrc.@Perturbator which dirt game in vr? Dirt 2.0 dosnt support vr so is it dirt rally? If so does the psvr2 headset work on it as I'm thinking of purchasing one. Have a smasher of a weekend folks 👍
An hour in on triangle strategy that’s what I’m gonna continue to play right now! It’s a slow burn at the moment!
@Northern_munkey On PCVR. You can use the PSVR2 headset on PC if your PC is up to the task though. Someone even managed to get foveated rendering working on PC but its limited to a few games for now.
Just finished DS2 (what an ending!) then will either start Indika or Lies of Starmer, er, I mean Lies of P.
I've been playing PS1 RE2 on PS4. Not having to use the ink ribbons is cheating, but I've legitimately played the game so many times and its fun to zip about with save states under emulation, still a great game to play. Really pleased 2 and 3 have been added to the classics catalogue and I got them for 'free' as owned the PS3 versions.
Also been playing my favouite C64 game, Platoon, and Hero Quest and Where Time Stood Still, on the Spectrum.
Mafia, Old Country. About two hours in. Liking it alot.
Lies of P, hoping to finish it this week as I've got a feeling I'll drop it for Shinobi and never go back to it.
I've also started The Plucky Squire, want to play this one before it disappears from Plus
Back To The Future and Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter ☺
I'll be finishing up Sword of the Sea. I'm two trophies away from the platinum, but I'm pretty sure one of them is bugged. I think I'll have to start a fresh save file and play the whole game again to get it. But the fact that I'm kind of looking forward to that should tell how good this game is.
@Perturbator ah I see. I know dirt rally is vr enabled but I'm not sure if it works with the psvr2 headset. It should work I guess. Thanks anyway bud 👍
Playing a tower defense game with my son that i only heard about in a post called Bish Bash Bots. Anyone play it? There is almost no info about this game anywhere
I started Bat Boy on Steam Deck and played some of the new levels in Astro Bot. I’m in waiting mode right now, Shinobi comes out in a few days and Hell Is Us comes out soon, so I don’t want to really jump into anything right now.
I got Cyber Punk + Phantom Liberty combo during the sale that happened a couple of weeks back. What convinced me was the fact that a week before the bundle went on sale, they (CDPR) released a PS5 update that improved graphics (VRR and all that).
Wow.
I can’t put the controller down because of how much fun I am having in Night City, role playing a Merc.
How I wish this game had been done a la No Man’s Sky and release a VR update. PSVR2, with it’s 4K capabilities, should have this game in it’s catalog.
It’s a great game, and with PSVR2 it would be revolutionary.
"I am Astro bot" is stuck in my head. Having a great time playing it. Also playing the excellent Cocoon.
Enjoy the weekend everybody
@Onearmbandit 44wins in different deck and 5 Challenges are done, Damn can't stop.
Playroom on PSVR and Farpoint.
Took a break from Sea of Thieves for a few months so tried it again last night as a new season just started, and wow, was it lame and underwhelming. Guess it's time for another break. Gonna to keep plugging away at Wuchang and Echoes of the End, which is a lot better than people are making it out to be.
Ghost of Tsushima
Looney tunes sheep raider and skyrim!
@R-Soub
Nice! Yeah it’s so hard to stop in Balatro!
Endgame of Death Stranding 2 en route to the platinum. Played and platinumed The Ascent which was pretty fun. The next game I’m looking forward to playing is Pipistrello and the Cursed Yoyo, game looks awesome.
Still addicted to Fantasy Life i, main focus (I'm well into post-game already) is grinding more materials from Treasure Groves as well as legendary materials from Ginormosia, both via multiplayer.
If I'm not playing FLi, I'll be attempting more C10 Titan runs in Monster Train 2 (on Steam Deck).
Finally got my hands on Stellar Blade and THANK GOD what a relief to play some action platformer again!!! On easy it is well playable for fun. More of these PS3 era games, less souls-like boredom.
i’ve been playing lies of p recently because it’s available on ps plus essential and it annoys me i get to brick walls regularly in this game
i kinda wish i had the patience to play such a game and have fun with it but right now i don’t so gotta play it lesser for the sake of my sanity
other than that having tons of fun with dragon quest 11 definitive edition
the game is so fun to me and the story really hooked me completely
Last 2 bosses of Dark Souls 3 Ringed City DLC and I will have beaten all 3 games and their respective DLCs back to back!
@Mikeg1965.....a fantastic achievement! Kudos
@KingPev Thanks King’!!!
Hoping to finish Silent Hill 2. Then either Sword of the Sea and/or Lies of P
Probably nothing as I need little break after beating Lies of P this week. Also, what a game it is - final chapter was absolutely fantastic!
I tried Hell is Us demo and think this game is my cup of tea, so looking forward to checking the reviews.
After finishing a souls(like) game always struggle to find the next game that will be able to grab me fully, so not sure now what to play next, but main candidates are Returnal, Rise of Ronin or Judgement, but also tempted to pick up Gears and Mafia Old Country
Have a nice weekend and happy gaming!
I'm late this week! The Shadow drop of Triangle Strategy on PS5 got me to impulse buy it. I'm only 1 hour in and still trying to get to grips with the combat system. I'm looking forward to taking my time and learning it. This purchase completely throws off my plans to beat and uninstall both HZD Remastered & Oblivion Remastered before Ghost of Yotei & Digimon Story Time Stranger come out but oh well.
Happy gaming my PushSquare Compatriots!
Beat my 1st runs on Monster Train 2 and Slay The Spire.
Want to complete Dave The Diver and then crack into Sword of the Sea
If my 11yo behaves we have nearly completed Sackboy
This weekend I finished Sword of the Sea. It was a nice short experience and was joy to play. Now it’s back to The Switch to continue working my way through Aria Of Sorrow in the castlveinia advance collection. Have a great weekend!
Angry Birds Classic (Windows Phone) - I'm suddenly remembering why I can only play bursts of this...
Gears POP! (Android) - Still on my YT LP.
Battleship (Windows Phone) - Haven't returned back to it, I intend to this weekend.
Also had the guys over to watch the Argos kick the crap out of the Lions and wasn't disappointed! 52-34, what a game!
Timesplitters Future Perfect. It does a lot of clever things. The shooting isn't exactly great, but it's full of fun ideas.
I've been continuing the path I set on when joining the PS Plus Premium service. Some times I stream titles on the portal and some times I download and stream from PS5 to my portal and you can't tell the difference. Even if you download a title and then choose to stream it, the system knows your save data.
It is an absolute embarrassment of wealth, and I just seek out different experiences without tying myself down.
(I am also throwing WAY to many hours into Slay the Spire. I can't shake loose of this one, and it is starting to worry me).
At the in-laws for the UK Bank Holiday weekend which means I'll be busting out the Portal. I've put together a shortlist of games to stream but I'm pretty sure I'll end up playing Balatro all weekend instead. Standard.
This months Extra was was good but i've checked them out and none are really my cup of tea so i'm sticking with 'The Girl who Stole Time' great little game, or big game lol, so much to do. Still waiting for a decent competitive shooter to scratch that itch, tried the F2P Delta Force, not the game for that itch. Not bad for a F2P but I doubt i'll be firing it back up. Might pick up Killing Floor 3 after my holiday, heard it's a bit basic atm but zombies and guns etc and it's pretty cheap so meh, will give it a go I reckon, they support their games well so it could be one for the future.
Greetings fellow video game enthusiasts. The Edinburgh Fringe is finally over. Now where were we, video games?
@Onearmbandit have ever played INSCRYPTION? some people say it's like balatro.
I will try it soon.
@R-Soub
No, can’t say I’ve ever heard of it. Will check it out 🍻
Played Sword of the Sea for one hour but my PS+ Premium sub expired. Waiting for a sale on the game because no way I'm renewing my subscription.
@Onearmbandit
https://youtu.be/B3plkUSUstg?si=P9n-b6-n2L_Vs-YV
what you think of it, cant wait to play it,
@R-Soub
Looks amazing. Cheers for the vid. I was looking at getting it on PC.
@Westernwolf4 after playing and loving Hades, I'm tempted to try Bastion, Transistor and Pyre, since I own them all. Which one would you say is their best?
@naruball Good morning. If you have not played any of those, you are in for a big treat. They are all great games!
I think I have the preferred order switched from most people. I think Pyre is their best game. I think most would go with Transistor or Hades as their best.
I think it really depends on what you like in a game, because until Hades II, Supergiant set out to explore different types of games every time on purpose. Each game has outstanding music and story and is well crafted, but they are going for different things. Bastion is the first and has their most straightforward gameplay, but maybe has their most intriguing story. Transistor is really focused on atmosphere, with the main mechanic being fights you can plan in advance, and then hit a button and watch your entire strategy be executed-it is a really satisfying system. Pyre is a sports game, with a made up mythical sport that is like a cross between soccer and basketball with magic powers as the main mechanic. It is really fun. But, like Hades, when you win or lose the narrative gets pushed forward, as the games are for high stakes and part of an overall quest. It is a wonderful tale about the importance of teamwork and friendship in a harsh world. And, I think it has their best music (each team you play has its own theme!).
I hope this was a little helpful. You really can’t go wrong-SG really puts out fantastic games. Enjoy!
@R-Soub
Ended up buying it for £5.59 on a PS5 sale 👍👍
Same hahaha, can't wait to try it
@Onearmbandit Damn, Its better than i thought, and very addicting and cant beat the fisher boss.
@R-Soub unfortunately I couldn’t play it weekend due to family responsibilities 😢
@Onearmbandit You will love it, Boss fight are totally evil un fair but very fun, Love it.
Been trying the past week. Very different to what I usually play haha. Not quite into it like I thought I would but liking (losing) it 😂
