I’m mostly focusing on Shadow of the Erdtree. I had bought the Kimgdom Hearts Collection on Steam but it was almost unplayable on Steam Deck with how much it kept freezing. I returned it and ordered the Metal Gear Solid Collection and Hogwarts Legacy instead. I fired up MGS for the first time since beating it on PlayStation.

@cburg luckily for me, I only it beat it the one time. It’s absolutely phenomenal, but I just don’t play games like that usually. I can only imagine how brutal NG+7 is for this DLC.
I was listening to a podcast and one of the hosts was max level, all stats at 99, and he said he was still getting taken in one hit by a lot of the bosses. He said it was until he found the Scadutree fragments that it started getting easier for him.

I beat Stellar Blade this weekend, played some Astro’s Playroom, and I jumped back into FFVII Rebirth for a bit. Most of my game time this weekend was spent on Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree. I wasn’t going to get it but I was between games and had a weekend all to myself so I decided why not. It’s punishing, brutal, and phenomenal.

@J2theEzzo thanks for the reply, that’s good to know. Like I said, I’ve never fought him before because I just fought anyone I came across organically through exploration, I didn’t want to specifically look things up. I had read somewhere recently that Mohg is tough to get to and a pretty hard fight, but that’s good to hear, especially if I eventually decide to grab this.

@Kraven that’s where I’m at with it too. I’m excited it’s as good as it is for everyone (not that I’m surprised), but I haven’t played it since I beat it at release and I don’t think I beat Mohg, so to go back, relearn the game, and fight him just sounds daunting. Not to mention, I don’t have the time to sink 30+ hours into this, unless I’m sacrificing other games I’d rather play more.

@Johnnycide My Friend of Misery, you mustn’t fret, you may draw the Shortest Straw with poor Battery life, but situation is in the Eye of the Beholder. Although it’s Sad But True, it can leave you Broken, Beat & Scarred, but it could also be the Day That Never Comes, either could be a Merciful Fate. Either Seek and Destroy your enemies because it’s Killing Time or Jump in the Fire because it’s the End of the Line!

@Blaze215 I’m right there with you. I get so worn out so quick with most open world games because I want to do everything but then it becomes a chore. I’d rather a concise 15 hour game than a bloated 100 hour game any day. I loved Remake and want to love Rebirth but just can’t.

@Titntin it’s such a shame. I wanted to love that game so badly, but just couldn’t. Every time I started to really enjoy myself they threw a forced mini-game at me. The GS Chocobo race was one of the least egregious of the mini-games, that was far better than having to play Rocket League as Red XIII to get coupons for clothes. I’ll go back to it eventually but I needed a break, I just wasn’t enjoying myself.
