If you can even believe that such a thing is possible, Hollow Knight: Silksong has arrived. Yes, that Silksong, the Hollow Knight sequel that's been in development for 1,000 years.
In truth, it's been a whirlwind couple of weeks. Silksong hit us with a teaser during Geoff Keighley's Gamescom Opening Night Live, and then it dropped an actual release date a couple of days later. The whole thing felt a bit surreal, given how long fans have been waiting for this follow-up.
Stunningly, though, Sony actually managed to drop the ball on Silksong. For some insane reason, the PS5 version didn't make it onto the PS Store until close to three hours after its schedule launch time. We dread to think how much money that may have cost the platform holder...

Of course, there wouldn't be this much fuss if the original Hollow Knight wasn't such a runaway success. The instantly recognisable action platformer managed to strike an almighty chord with players of all ages, and it's gone on to become one of the most revered indie titles ever made.
So, back to Silksong... Are you diving straight into this sequel? Is it finally time to take up the cape and jab some bugs with your needle?
