A big week has marked the release of another Hideo Kojima classic, with Death Stranding 2: On the Beach now publicly available for everyone. Needless to say, it's dominating the WAYP discussion.
Aaron Bayne
I'll likely chip away at both Death Stranding 2: On the Beach and Dune Awakening this weekend.
Issy van der Velde
This weekend I'm deep in my sci-fi bag playing Mass Effect and The Alters. Both story-driven games but with a very different depth and focus.

I've a few days left in June to buy Gran Turismo on PS1 as part of my Gaming Resolutions for 2025. I must've had a Mandela effect moment, though, because I mistakenly thought it was included with my PlayStation Classic. Gran Turis-d'oh!
Liam Croft
I'm near the end of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, so I'll wrap that up this weekend and then try to get the Platinum Trophy next week before I go on holiday.
Sammy Barker
I've not managed to get my hands on Death Stranding 2 just yet, so I really mean it this time: I'm going to start Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 at last.
Stephen Tailby
I'm playing one or two things for review right now, so those will get most of my attention this weekend. I should say, since the announcement of Lumines Arise, I've wanted to do little else than play Lumines Remastered on repeat. I'll probably mix some of that in; those squares aren't going to clear themselves.
These are the games keeping us busy this weekend, then, but what about you? Are you all in on Death Stranding 2? Let us know in the comments section below.

This weekend I will play Sanitarium on the Steam Deck and record the journey in screenshots.
On the PS5 I will play some Baldur's Gate 3 (it pains me that I have Baldur's Gate 1 and 2 but never played them seriously).
On the Switch I will start a fresh character in Titan Quest
And I will draw some assets for my game because I am way behind anything there
Happy gaming everyone!!!
It's a very retro themed weekend for me as I'll mainly be playing Deltarune and finishing up chapter 4. Having an absolute blast with it~!
My physical copies of Lunar Remastered Collection and Final Fantasy I-VI Anniversary Edition arrived today too so I may give them a little whirl later on~
Hope everyone has a great weekend!
MindsEye but without the day 1 patch.
Finished off the Zombie Army Trilogy plat yesterday but will probably play a little more this weekend to help out a few of the guys finish off their bits and pieces. Such an underrated game, between it and its sequel… they are two of the best co-op games I’ve played. So much fun!
Played through the prologue of Dead Island: Riptide this morning too, to continue my hot-zombie-summer. Enjoyed DI2 a lot more than I was expecting at the start of this year, so I’ll hopefully feel similarly about this one.
I'm actually at Oulton Park today taking my son to watch some racing cars and getting lost in a sea of Porsche and Ferrari's whilst we wait for it to start
When I get back it'll be more Death Stranding 2, I loved the first game and the sequel has improved everything including the pacing and with really doubled down on the world being an obstacle with stuff like the flash floods. I'm right at the end of Chapter 3 and don't see myself playing much else until its done
It's all about Death Stranding 2 for me this weekend. I'm a little over 11 hours in and loving it so far. This feels like the perfect evolution of the things that made the original great. I didn’t enjoy combat in the original but it's great here, catering to your preferred play style. The sequel makes the original look like a proof of concept by comparison and I love the original.
Just finished all the Star Wars Outlaws DLC packs with 100% trophy collection- this game has been fantastic, they really turned it around with all the updates. Well recommended if you're on the fence.
More Death Stranding 1 ..really into this game now after not being sure - I've put around 46 hrs in so far and no idea how long is left - I've seen some say it's around the 200hr mark ! 😬but looking forward to the 2nd game eventually.
I'm also hoping to bed my young virgin maiden, hoping she can give me a child then I can poison my current wife and children - oh, I'm also playing Crusader Kings 3 🤴 🤣🤣
Have a great weekend guys and gals ❤️
Death Stranding 2 for me. Despite bouncing off the first one hard I got wrapped up in the hype and so glad I did. Really enjoying it so far
Death stranding 2!
Greetings, good people.
My Switch 2 finally cleared customs and should arrive tomorrow or on Monday. So this week I was just putting rounds in Mario Kart 8D before moving on to World, and just occasionally playing AC Shadows. And tomorrow I'm going to play russian billiard with my friend, I really want to get better at it.
That's all for now, have a great weekend.
Deus Ex: The Conspiracy and Death Stranding Director's Cut. Have a good weekend all!
Wait, since when it's possible to post pictures here? 🤔
I'm playing Crusader Kings 3, it lately got a new DLC, and big update with bugfixes and QoL improvements!
I’m currently trying to build useful museums in Two point museums. It’s a little different from hospital and campus and I’m unsure if I prefer it or not.
Jedi survivor on the 5pro and parking garage rally circuit on the IBM compatible.
At the business end of Days Gone: Remastered, my gawwwd I forgot how much this story drags, still awesome though!
Got a new high score on Balatro, 53 million, so I’ll be trying to better that today, tomorrow etc
I need to get back into Robocop as barely touched it.
And it’s curry night tonight so Vindaloo or a Phall 🤔
Have a great gaming weekend my fellow Pushsquareians!
Death Stranding 2 loving it so far. Takes the original and improved everything like KCD2. Other new pick ups are Hundred line last defense academy on Switch and Links Awakening
Having great fun on the Breakthrough mode in Battlefield 2042, total chaos.
I'm coming near the end of Expedition 33. Played the last few hours in cinema mode on my PSVR2. What an experience to feel like you're playing a game of that scale in a cinema. Amazing. I think I'm just left with the final battle. Great game.
Will be jumping back into Tears of the Kingdom on Switch 2 when I've this completed.
Rattling through the story in Dragon Age: The Veilguard as I 1) finally picked up Star Wars Outlaws in this weekend's PS Plus sale and 2) am being driven by serious FOMO from all the glowing reviews of Death Stranding 2 to finally complete the first one... so much to play!
@Marquez good taste in games there ! Love Veilguard and Outlaws, yet to pick up DS2
I'm at the end of Lies of P Overture so looking forward to finishing that if I can overcome the final boss (but he seems a bit tricky)
Also making a few deliveries here and there in Death Stranding as well. It's very pretty so far
Trying to get dragons dogma 2 done so I can bury myself in Death Stranding. Also does anyone know how to start the new quest line in Assassins shadows?
Greetings fellow video game enthusiasts. I recently finished Another Crab’s Treasure, which I greatly enjoyed. Now I’m onto Fantasy Life i: the Girl Who Steals Time. I might play some Metaphor as well. Weekend!
After 320hrs, beat BG3, such a fantastic game through and through. I should be beating Metaphor soon - probably today - since I found the silly reason why I was stuck on the final battle, it's made it easier. Then it'll be full concentration on the unique and ever brilliant Clairrr Obscurrr. Plus some legendary ER on the side with ray tracing and EA WRC.
I’ll be cracking on with Cyberpunk which is taking a while because I’m doing all the gigs and side stories as I go. A huge part of me wants to continue with the main story, but I think all the side stuff is really good too.
Also got back into GTA5 multiplayer which is more enjoyable in a private game with friends. At least then you’re not getting killed by randoms every 10 seconds.
We've got the shutters all closed to keep out the heat so it's nice and dark, perfect for Death Stranding 2.
Feels even better when it's raining in-game.
Hello there fellow gamers.
This weekend I´ll be playing the following games:
Lune Thunder build and the new party members are awesome;
Who knew I would have such a great time making deliveries. And what a gorgeous game this one is. Decima Engine is the goat. And running at 60 fps is such a very smooth experience;
Really enjoying playing both games. Taking my time exploring each Odissey world and collecting Moons. As for MKW I am mostly playing it in free roam and doing random missions as I drive around in the open world. Still not very good at the game, since I keep losing most races 😜 But it´s very fun to play.
Cheers everyone and happy gaming weekend to us all
Playing a bit of hong kong massacre like 69p in the sale and some helldivers.
Torn between playing Resident Evil 0, final fantasy 16 and Sherlock awakened.
My PS5 is still at the repair shop and I have to work this weekend, so, as much as I’d love to play Death Stranding 2, I will not be doing so. I guess I’ll play… I dunno. I’m sort of burnt out Mario Kart World, but I don’t really have anything else new to play on my Switch 2 for now. Hopefully my PS5 is repaired next week or else it’s a long wait for Donkey Kong, especially when Death Stranding 2 is out. That was basically the first game that I was really looking forward to this year too…
Conscious I've been playing lots of Elden Ring and Sniper Elite recently, so I'm making an effort to play some things I've never played before.
Starting with Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. It's ace so far.
Death Strand 2, its more Death Stranding!
Have a great weekend Folks!
Basically playing the same games as last week
TES Oblivion remaster - I'm really enjoying playing this game again after all these years, ***** performance and bugs and all. I've had some hilarious bugs, one where like seven of the guards from the Malacath quest followed me around Cyrodiil and would pop up every now and then and take turns endlessly harassing me 😂 I had to kill them eventually,, couldnt get on with the game once they cought up with me, which also was pretty funny cause they didnt fight back and the city guards ended up helping me kill them... you dont see features like these in other games! Currently doing the Dark Brotherhood questline, which imo is better than the one in Skyrim! Love it!
Forza Horizon 5 - I've enjoyed it but starting to feel like maybe I'm done, for now at least. Gonna try some rounds of the Eliminator and see if I can get that trophy and go for the platinum but if not I think its time to move on. Hoping The Crew Motorfest gets a new sale soon , want to see how that holds up against Horizon and I enjoyed The Crew 2.
I'm still playing Skyrim. Level 50 now and I'm yet to finish any of the factions or main quest. I'm walking everywhere and delving into every cave/tomb/ruin I come across.
A timeless RPG.
Currently Playing
I Am Your Beast (PS5 Pro) - Another undervalued indie on PS5 (don't think ive read one ps5 version review online since its release last week, whilst every website falls over rhemselves to tell us how crap Mindseye is, shrugs). Anyway a brilliant fast paced fps with focus on speed and efficiency (think Superhot without stopping) could do with gyro controls to help get higher ranks though but thoroughly rrcommended 👍
Doom The Dark Ages (PS5 Pro) - Honestly for me just as good as Doom 2016, Super smooth, great graphics, brilliant accessibility options and mad action, just love it.
New Star GP (PS5 Pro) - Started getting into this, at the 2010 racing era now, played more of this than the EA F1 games, this one is just fun 👍
DS2 - it's brilliant !
Death Stranding 2. The graphics are insane, really enjoying it so far.
I downloaded death stranding directors cut and I'm still not sure about this game. It looks and sounds amazing but it's very, very strange. I'll give it a bit longer but this weekend is mostly going to be all about khazan the first berzerker as there was a massive new update which has fundamentaly changed the game so I'm starting from scratch. There will inevitably be the obligatory rally session this evening I expect so I'd better get a custom championship built for that..no drinking this evening as apparantly 9 pints of guiness dosnt agree with me. Have a great weekend everybody 👍
@GuttyYZ Same here.
Graphically stunning, ain't it !
I will be playing the master piece of a delivery game that is..... Delivery at all Costs, pretty funny game, I am enjoying it but not sure I will bother with the plat.
Hoping for an England win tonight too!
Happy gaming folks
@blockfight
Gaming with the headset on is a cool way to immerse yourself. I remember playing a narrative driven game on it. I chose to let it randomly decide what to say or do and the absolute chaos unfolding kept me breathless from laughter because I couldn't breathe. It was that funny!
Death Stranding 2, obviously. Although I’ve had it for two days now without touching it. Might sound silly, but starting it almost feels too big/loaded, with the first game being one of my all time favorites. Will be playing it this afternoon though.
In the meantime I was revisiting GT7, after having finished the also great RE4 Remake.
Roadcraft. Im at the final level. Every single convoy gets stuck on this map. So Im paving al the dirtroads this weekend.
Have a great weekend!
Going to highly enjoy starting “Death Stranding 2” tonight after finally finishing & slogging through “Alone In The Dark”. That game was just meh to bleh IMO. DS2 should be a blast!
Finally got the season pass on Star Wars Outlaws, so let's go there. In a similar vein, playing the 3rd DLC of Borderlands 3. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth , always a sure bet, and Yakuza 6. No lacking of options in gaming!!

I just finished Parasite Eve 1 on PS Vita, the main ending btw not Chrysler building ending, and this game is still pretty amazing after all these years 😘
So now i'm continuing with Parasite Eve 2 which some people hate it because it plays closer to RE than the RPG with ATB combat like the 1st game. But i personally really enjoyed it, although i miss Yoko Shimomura music.
Beside PE 2, i'm also playing:
I put these games on hold though:
Have a great weekend everyone 🍻
@playstation1995 I was mostly listening to a tribe called quest, run d mc,public enemy and cypress Hill this week through my earbuds whilst working. Made me think of you momentarily 👍
Predictably ill be playing death stranding 2 , the improvement in gameplay and graphics, reminds me of the difference between kcd and kcd2 , its a superb game , those watchers are creepy as hell , they remind me of a film but I cant remember what it was.
@Northern_munkey thanks man. A tribe called quest is dope.they from queens new york like myself. You should check dj kenny parker youtube channel his the legendary krs one brother.we talk about rap music every Tuesday and friday.and talk about sports politics etc.yeah nas and wu tang clan.eric b and rakim.mobb deep.run dmc.onyx.etc are legendary. @PuppetMaster parasite eves 1 is a really good game.it needs the final fantasy 7 remake treatment. Word up son
I'll be starting Death Stranding 2 and I cant wait!
My copy arrived late yesterday so didn't get a chance to play it.
I'll also be playing more of Jean D'Ark too but it's been really tough.
Nightreign and Death Stranding 2 for me after this Lions game is over.
Surprised by how much I'm loving DS2. I couldn't finish the first game, but this one feels very special so far. That opening was quietly epic.
More of Death Stranding 2: On the Beach.
Co-op day, too, so I'll be playing Grand Theft Auto V tonight.
@playstation1995 I will do that..
Elder Scrolls Online, Diablo IV, and Star Wars: Outlaws. Possibly getting back into my 2nd run of Dragon Age: The Veilguard. But, ultimately, I’m just waiting for Everybody’s Golf to drop.
Edit: A lot of Star Wars: Outlaws players. Love to see it! Really good game that’s been maligned a lot more than it deserves.
Still playing atelier yumia
Horizon Zero Dawn for the most part, and some Oblivion and MvC3: Fate of Two Worlds on the PS3.
Having finally Platinumed Unicorn Overlord I'm going back to HZD Remastered this weekend. TU 2 for Monster Hunter Wilds is on Monday so I'll go back to that as well.
Have a great gaming weekend folks!
Just got the platinum for Horizon Zero Dawn remastered trying to decide what to play next from my backlog and resist the urge to buy Kingdom Come 2 gold edition since it's on sale.
Hades 2. Finally beat typhon for few times. Waiting for MH wilds next TU on monday. Finally met Lagi for the first time
@Rangers420 It'd be remiss of me not to encourage you to get KCD2 right now
So, that said, it is clearly time for you to join the Legion of Henry's! Everyone's doing it, even random NPC's

I’m about 10 hours into cyberpunk at the moment. It’s a bit more linear than I was expecting so far, but I’m enjoying it. Playing in short bursts to avoid motion sickness.
I beat and got the platinum trophy for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion for PS5. It was your classic Bethesda game, and a special experience. I haven’t tackled the Shivering Isles DLC yet - I’m setting it to the side because I want to play other games.
My attention is now all on Death Stranding 2. I’m only four hours in but it’s been great so far. The gameplay mechanics are refined, and feel more like Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain in terms of movement, sound, and gunplay.
I like how there is a more emphasis on stealth combat. There have been numerous situations so far where I’m on the edge of my seat due to nerves combating my way through bandit camps, treacherous weather, and the terrain itself. It’s a perfect blend of environment story telling in a unique way. I also feel a sense of obligation to find lost cargo to deliver to other settlements despite the risky nature. It creates a real sense of urgency, but also forces you to be patient - until you can’t.
There was one instance where I had to make a delivery to a Chiral network, but it was pouring down rain. The rivers began to rise, and there were bandits surrounding me, but unaware of my presence. All the while the rain itself was damaging my cargo, almost forcing me to beeline my way straight to the objective. I offloaded my equipment, hiding it in tall grass so the enemies couldn’t see me carrying so much and alert nearby guards.
I systematically eliminated all enemies without being discovered, but my cargo eventually became damaged. I began scouring the area for container repair spray and found a handful of them, but even more importantly, I found a hidden vehicle. I quickly got inside, drove to my packages, loaded them into the bed of the truck, and carefully crossed the river. Once I reached my destination, I repaired all containers and delivered them safe and sound.
This moment-to-moment gameplay — a free sandbox to operate in — was really fun. It was essentially solving a puzzle that I could have optionally ignored, but with high risk there is a high reward. It’s these types of situations where MGSV: TPP shined immensely, and DS2 has evolved that process in peak form. I can’t wait to see how much more it expands as time goes on.
I’ve been taking my time with Death Stranding Director’s Cut. It’s such a fantastic game, but I never finished it. I won’t be getting 2 anytime soon because I’m not the type to play games back to back like that because I’ll burn out, but at least I’ll be ready when I want to.
PS5 - Stellar Blade, Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, Ninja Gaiden II Black, Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves
Switch 2 - Mario Kart World, Street Fighter 6 Yakuza 0: Director's Cut, Cyberpunk 2077
I have a busy work weekend, so I won’t be getting in much unfortunately. If anything, Lunar Remastered Collection and maybe Monster Hunter Wilds.
@playstation1995 ♫ Bonita Applebum, you gotta put me on ♫
@Perturbator check the rhyme. My crew never wack because we stand strong.word up son
@playstation1995 Talking about OG Rap i recently went back and listened to PE's Fear of a black planet, Nation of millions was good but for me Planet was miles ahead (and still relevant) also had some Roxanne Shante and UTFO on, reminded me of my breakin days (long time ago) 🤣
Unknown 9: Awakening
Still highly enjoying it at around 15 hours.
Still replaying Forza Horizon 5 and idling too much time away in Fantasy Life i. Im not making much progress on my backlog, but I am having fun.
Whatever you are playing this weekend, I hope you have a good one 👍
@Jrs1 yeah public enemy is legendary my favorite public enemy song ever black steel of a hour chaos.and yes Roxanne Shante is dope also.old school rap music is the best word up son
Finished Nioh. Enjoyed it quite a bit. Very addictive to chip away at the levels and bosses. Compared to FromSoft games, the levels are less booby-trapped and the bosses are more fair and predictable. The corny models and story didn’t hurt the experience much.
Well I finished my playthrough of PS4 exclusives (as an Xbox guy). Favorite games were: Tsushima, Bloodborne, Nioh and TLoU2. Least favorites were: Horizon ZD, Days Gone, Death Stranding and Uncharted 4. Overall I don’t really think these 3rd person cinematic games are for me anymore, as I prefer something with either 1. deeper immersion and freedom 2. more challenge 3. more experimentation in gameplay design and 4. less story and cutscenes.
I’m sure nobody will actually read this but it’ll probably be my last post on this site so just want to say I think this is one of the best gaming sites as it 1. avoids BS drama articles, 2. reports news consistently and quickly, 3. sticks to games and 4. has a friendly community that steers away from the immature bashing you see elsewhere.
This weekend, Resident Evil Village and Octopath Traveler.
Last weekend, my son gave me a hard time about only having two platinums to my name (Cars 2 and Persona 5 Royal), to which I responded that I could have a bunch more pretty quick but don't really care about trophies. My competitive nature took over, so I spent a couple hours in Unicorn Overlord, Mass Effect 2, and Mass Effect 3 getting a few trophies to get my total platinum count to 5. He got a good laugh out of it.
Have a good weekend, everybody.
Currently a little pissed (drunk) and playing wii games with the Mrs 😁
@playstation1995 Great tune and has a brilliant cover by Tricky also 👍
Well i bought death stranding 2 was planning the whole day to get lost in it, but had to take my nephew to the fun centre thought id be about 2hrs, arrived at 10.30am didnt get out till 3pm running around on slides and stuff, then took him for some food. So literally got back now. So for the rest of the night going to play DS2. Did play an hour yesterday, and wow does it look stunning. Hoppefully wont fall asleep after today 🤣
Great weekend for me, loving Death Stranding 2 and also watching Squid Game season 3.
New Super Mario Bros. 2 (3DS) - Starting another playthrough of this decent platformer.
Gears POP! (Android) - Yeah, couldn't get the jailbroken version to run. I've now started watching a LP on it now.
Gun Bros (Windows Phone) - This is a awesome twin stick shooter. I'm enjoying my time with it.
Finally started my 9 1/2 week summer break so it's Clair Obscur Expedition 33 to kick things off. What a melancholy yet powerful premise - I can't think of a game with higher stakes, a brilliant way to suck you in.
Still ploughing through Asgards Wrath 2 and just bought Rockstar's The Warriors on PS5 (back compat) after being at Coney Island last night. I've heard it mostly holds up after all these years.
Happy gaming folks!
@playstation1995 this sounds like an awesome weekend 😁
@KingPev I finished Outlaws' main campaign. It's my fav Star Wars game hands down. And no Jedi stuff - a remarkable feat in itself. I have the season pass but I'm saving it for later. Anyone remotely interested in a Star Wars game should get on this - the turnaround from the release state is almost of Cyberpunk proportions. It's always on sale.
@16BitHero your profile picture excellent. I was just playing streets of rage games yesterday I beat all of them.soon I will play the incredible streets of rage 4. Axel stone is the best. Word up son
@Tdx I read it!
Don't sleep on Nioh 2, I enjoyed the first game but the second one was another level for me. Some people are the other way round so it'd be interesting to see how it lands for you.
I'm still not quite sure what I thought of the Nioh 3 demo but I'm looking forward to it nonetheless.
@playstation1995 @Northern_munkey Have you listened to Chuck D's new album? He's still doing his own thing, bloke's off his rocker in the best possible way
@16BitHero yes , fully agree. Its a proper 'looker' now too, graphics are very sharp indeed. Both DLC episodes are great fun. And yeah no Jedi or flooded with the usual Star Wars characters either. Loved it. A long game too - my save file was 66hrs !
@Onearmbandit Phall?! You're a brave one 🥵
@Gremio108 no I haven't but I will make sure I do 👍
@16BitHero
Had 3 before. 2 outta 3 was insane.
@Gremio108 definitely Chuck d still doing his thing.nas.onyx.wu tang clan.slick rick etc old school mcs be doing they're things. Word up son
Just returned to Sims 4 for no particular reason.
Stardew Valley is another that's drawn me in. It's one of those games where its complexity and intricacies aren't immediately obvious. It's deceptive that way, and quite surprising. A real stroke of genius in my view.
E33 will possibly be my next main thing. Still haven't bought it, but it's getting increasingly difficult to resist.
Late in posting but it’s all Death Stranding 2 this weekend for me!!!
Dungeons and Degenerate Gamblers, Keep Driving and Walkabout Mini Golf.
Having a great time with Mario Kart World and Zelda TOTK on Switch 2, but tomorrow is Death Stranding day. Same problem as always: too many great games to play!
Death Stranding 2 for me this weekend. Beyond that maybe some Kahazan but honestly all I can think about is building some bridges!
I am browsing videogames more than 'playing' these days. I took the Days of Play-offer on premium which is equivalent to Netflix with an absolute wealth of content and added functionality.
The best feature for me is actually to stream games directly from the Portal without waking the PS5 Pro.
So, I finished Bloom and Rage and was quite satisfied with the story, the vibe, and the soundtrack. The themes are a bit heavy and important, so I really hope young people check this title out. I can't recommend this one for angry old men or young punks who think everything is 'cringe'.
I finally tried Return to Monkey Island which is available on plus, and it is still so hilarious (I expected the humour to be outdated). In the prologue, the first time the girl says anything it introduces the 'skip dialogue' option and ..... if you don't use it she goes on and on and on. A little kid endlessly plodding on about everything she knows about anchors were such an unexpected laugh.
And I've started more games than I'd care to admit, but the actual play time is very low.
@hypnotoad I had to do a double take when I started playing it, for a second I thought they had implemented live action stuff haha!
More Fantasy Life i (until further notice lol).
All Strangelings acquired already, aiming to max out friendship with everyone eventually (revert three strangelings, adventure with them until friendship is maxed out, rinse and repeat). Think I'm about halfway through the process now.
Other than that, I'm already at post-game; just taking my sweet time progressing all Lives from Master to Hero rank (I've done Farmer and Hunter already); I ought to make better armour as Blacksmith and reach that Life's Hero rank sooner than later.
Have a great weekend y'all!
@Hylian-Likely I have both of the Daybreak games but haven't opened either of them - is Daybreak 2 worse than Reverie? I've been dipping in and out of it since it came out, and I just can't stay interested in it as much as I loved Cold Steel and the Crossbell duology.
I have reached what I assume is the final dungeon in Metaphor, so Sunday will me tackling that
[Edit - It was the final dungeon and that is Metaphor Re-Fantazio finished - I'm also gonna see if I can stick with NG+ for the platinum - Overall I loved it, not as much as the Persona games, but still a ridiculously good time.]
Working on the Doom Eternal Platinum. Bought Death Stranding 2 for support but I’m contemplating playing the directors cut since I beat the game in 2019. Also been playing some Hotline Miami.
Just starting my second playthrough of Lies Of P. Absolutely FANTASTIC game!
I completed 33 and stellar blade recently. Now on act 2 of shadow of war- what an epic game
Brutal Heretic RPG via Deltatouch, Hydro Thunder, and Rush 2049 via Midway Arcade Archives 3. I will probably get a few levels further into Doom TDA too.
Hope everyone has a grand weekend.
I made it a point to platinum Silent Hill 2 Remake before Death Stranding 2 came out, and I'm happy to say I did so the day before the official release.
I've been hooked on DS2 since Thursday and although I'm roughly 20 hours in, it's topped the original so far; it's much more refined and more engaging. If it can keep this up for the whole game... I may have a new all-time favorite, I dunno!
The first Death Stranding will always have a place in my heart but DS2 is definitely a more concentrated version of that!
Well here we go with another wild and wacky WAYP. Been missing these on and off because of being in the city enjoying lovely lovely weekends with the GF. This week was kinda cool in terms of games won’t lie. Played a lot like Mario Kart World and Cyberpunk, some Nirvana Initiative and WWE as well as Death Stranding 1 Directors Cut. The weekend was mostly spent with the gf watching stuff like WWE Night of Champions and a little AI: Nirvana Initiative but I’m thinking for the rest of the weekend we gonna do some Mario Kart World and either Mafia 1 or DS1 DC or Clair Obscur. Probably Mafia as I wanna beat it before The Old Country comes out which I do have a preorder on. Might even pivot to 4 hours of that over Mario Kart who knows. Absolutely loving Mario Kart tho amazing game. Rest of the week is mostly gonna consist of trying to beat Nirvana Initiative and Mafia and Death Stranding 1 while awaiting my delayed copy of 2. Amazon really upset me with that one. Yeah not as many games this time around as I really was taking on way too much like way too much. Just gonna enjoy what I enjoy. Might try out my remaining two new switch games: Welcome Tour and SF6 with the GF. After r that just can’t wait for Donkey Kong Bananza. Tho maybe some Hundred Line too. @playstation1995 Thank you kindly for mentioning me in your comment above, mate, and it's great to hear that you've been enjoying the Streets of Rage series so much.
I still read a lot of retro magazines, so I can vividly remember when Computer and Video Games (CVG) reviewed the first Streets of Rage. CVG scored it 93/100, praising the detailed background graphics, and simultaneous two player co-op, when the series debuted in late 1991.
As you know, Streets of Rage 2 took the series to the next level, and it features in many people's top Genesis/ Mega Drive game lists. The second game consistently ranks highly out of the entire 16-bit wonder machine's catalogue of games.
I actually own Bare Knuckle III for the Japanese Mega Drive, and while the third game doesn't rank as highly as the second title, I still think that it's fun to play, and I like flicking through the colourful manual to look at the artwork and screenshots, even though I can't read Japanese.
We both share an interest in beat-'em-up games — I often play as Axel Stone as an iconic character, like you mentioned — and I agree that Streets of Rage 2 is my favourite in the series, too.
Also, like you said, Streets of Rage 2's soundtrack is amazing. This makes Shinobi: Art of Vengeance an especially exciting 2025 PS4 and PS5 release, with Yuzo Koshiro and Tee Lopes both working on Shinobi: Art of Vengeance's music.
Cheers again for kindly mentioning me in your comment, my friend, and enjoy playing all of those retro brawler games.
