Hideo Kojima Space

Is there anything Hideo Kojima won't try? After creating video game classics for decades and starting his movie-making career, he now wants to go to space... and develop a game while he's up there.

In an interview with The Guardian, the game creator reveals he doesn't just want to visit space on an expensive tourist trip; he wants to put the months of training in to become an astronaut and work on the International Space Station.

He said: "I want to train properly, learn how to do the docking, go to the International Space Station and stay there for a few months... I’m not a scientist, but I could probably make games in space. I want to be the first. There are a lot of astronauts over 60, so I guess it’s possible." Kojima then jokes that at least his back wouldn't become irritated since there's no gravity in space.

Kojima goes even further, next proclaiming he'd like to risk his life in order to feel "alive". He then calls it the "Tom Cruise disease" and adds: "Tom Cruise finds out his worth when living with his life on the line."

Never change, Hideo.
