Ridiculously Good Looking Terminator 2D Delayed Due to Physical PS5, PS4 Release 3

Well, this is one occasion where physical games can be a bit of a headache – especially when it comes to smaller publishers like Reef Entertainment.

The outrageously good looking SEGA Genesis-style side-scrolling shooter Terminator 2D: No Fate has been delayed from 5th September to 31st October, while it irons out manufacturing issues with the physical release.

The team at Bitmap Bureau is going to use the extra time to polish the title, and therefore it’s delaying the game digitally as well.

Here’s what a spokesperson told us in a statement:

“Coordinating and manufacturing the physical release has been a longer process than we anticipated, and as a result, we’ve had to delay the release of the game. We apologise, and thank you for bearing with us. This delay will also give the team at Bitmap Bureau extra time to apply some final polish to the game itself and we would like all players to have the opportunity to experience the best version of Terminator 2D: No Fate together. As such, this delay will apply to both physical and digital versions of the game.”

It’s only a short delay and it’s ultimately going to result in a higher quality game, so we can’t complain too much. Also, we do think it’s important for a retro flavoured affair like this to offer a high quality physical option at launch.

But are you disappointed to learn about the delay? Are you eagerly anticipating this adaptation regardless? Put out your cigar on someone’s pectoral muscles in the comments section below.
