It's been an eventful week in the video game industry, so we could all probably do with a bit of a breather, couldn't we? Here's what we're playing.

Since chatting with @playstation1995 about SEGA's classic beat-'em-ups in last weekend's WAYP, I've been hankering for Lizardcube's artwork to depict some Streets of Rage 4 fisticuffs.
Sammy Barker
I did indeed start Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and I'm head over heels in love with it. I don't know if I'll finish it this weekend, but I'm absolutely hooked.

I'm still playing a game for review purposes, but I really have become a proper Lumines sicko lately. I'm just playing through the basic challenge mode in Lumines Remastered here and there, and finding it to be a great thing to chill out with.
A very short and sweet WAYP this weekend, then, but there's still plenty of space in the comments section below for you to share your gaming plans. What are you playing? You know the drill.

After finishing Deltarune's currently released chapters I've began taking a look at
Which is a Shin Megami Tensei 1 & 2 inspired first person dungeon crawling rpg... But with Touhou characters.
Played only about an hour of it so but it's pretty good so far despite knowing absolutely nothing about Touhou~
Though... My first demon/party member is a girl in a bucket?
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend~! Happy gaming!
This weekend I am mostly playing:
Balatro, finally got the last joker by getting a new high score of 774 million! 👌(but on the switch). Will try to get a similar score on PS5 🤞
Days Gone: Remastered, it’s time for the sawmill horde today, setting traps and getting resources to prepare for a laugh (and probably a few deaths) but my word I think this remastered version is buggier than the PS4 version, constant riding down into the road/bridge, hordes not spawning (I’m 95% completion), silencers not working and getting focused head shots which don’t register are especially bloody annoying 😡
Looking forward to playing Diablo for the first time with IV as I’ve been meaning to buy one of them.
Enjoy your gaming weekend Pushsquarians!
@Zuljaras must be on vacation
I haven't played anything yet this weekend, but I did recently platinum Wolfenstein: The New Order.
I want to return to Final Fantasy IX, but the "Impress the Nobles" minigame is driving me nuts.
You need a perfect 100/100 rating to help towards earning a trophy, but I suck at rhythm minigames.
Greetings, good people.
My Switch 2 finally arrived, so I've been on a platforming spree before new Donkey Kong. Nearly done with Kirby Forgotten Land, replaying Super Mario Odyssey (still awesome), finishing up Hat in Time, that one on PS5 though.
That's it for now, have a great weekend.
Started Mass Effect 2 and it really is as class as people make out. I played it back at release on the 360 but have absolutely no recollection of it… and was a little apprehensive about starting it again as I was a bit nonplussed when I played through the original a couple of years back. Thankfully I’m having a very different experience with the sequel though. The gameplay and the graphics have been refined a bit and the narrative is top-tier fair play.
Today I will be continuing with my we happy few platinum run also continuing with my lies of p play through and going to start playing persona 5 tactica while I wait for the football tonight have a lovely weekend everyone
@Czar_Khastik Preparing for a Greek cruise so no time for gaming in the next 10 days
Play some Castlevania or Elden Ring for me, please
Death Stranding 2 about 12 hours played. It's another Pro showpiece along with KCD2 and Shadows. Also playing Pirate Yakuza and Clair Obscur
Helldivers 2; i got some catching up to do before the new players arrive next month
Just started a game called Blacktail. Knew nothing going into it really, other than it having a good store rating. But for £7 I figured I’d go in blind and so far it’s actually really good.
Also might have another go on Darkwood. I played the prologue and the atmosphere is really unsettling (Especially with headphones at max volume). Apparently it’s a difficult game though, which is somewhat off putting!
Busy watching the Women's Euros so my gaming time has dipped, however that hasn’t stopped me from starting The Callisto Protocol! Only a few hours in but I’m liking it so far. Will probably get the platinum. Passed 30 hours in Splitgate 2. It’s great, and I would love the platinum in that too because it’s just so damn grindy! It would be a great achievement. Happy gaming everyone!
@Zuljaras Enjoy your Greek cruise, say hello to Kratos for us since he's the only one left there after destroying the entire pantheon
No games for this week cause I'm gonna do some house cleaning and then chill out for the rest of this weekend, possibly go to a park just hang out with nature and eating some good pizzas.
Have a good weekend everyone 🍻
Finished Atomfall with the dlc, which was great. On chapter 3 of black myth wukong which I am loving so far and seems to be in some weird prison at the moment which is making my eyes red?!?!
Also gone back to death stranding as getting fomo about 2 but didn't finish 1 !!!!
Have a great weekend everyone
I'm on holiday, so it's only Auction City on the phone for me. I did get my first ever platinum trophy on Mindseye last Monday though, happy days 🙂
@JVCIOM70 Congratulations! Getting the first platinum trophy is something special and when it's on MindsEye then there is also something poetic to it.
I’m not sure yet, was attempting to platinum jedi survivor but the collectathon became ridiculous and was abruptly deleted, so probably something short or arcadey next.
Been a very long time since I played but got the itch to head back into Yharnam for some blood ministration. A Hunter must Hunt! Have a good weekend all!
Skyrim between my nephew’s graduation today and my Dad’s 70th birthday party tomorrow.
First time properly playing it. I have dabbled on PC for a couple of hours a few years ago but decided it was a game I needed to complete so have booted it up on my PS5.
Greetings fellow video game enthusiasts. Fantasy Life i has got its cosy little hooks in me. I’ve been sick over the last week so I’ve been able to rack up some serious hours, and it’s been sheer bliss. Let’s weekend!
Fantasy Life i for me; already in post-game, making steady progress on maxing affinity with all buddies (33 buddies maxed out already) and hopefully I'll be able to reach Hero rank as Blacksmith before the end of today (kinda sucks how some crafting recipes (needed to reach Hero rank) require some RNG regarding item drops exclusive to the Treasure Grove or Ginormosia merchants, but thankfully I enjoy myself some Grove runs, so it doesn't bother me much).
Have a great weekend everyone!
@Zuljaras enjoy! Gaming will still be here when you return.

Eiyuden Chronicle and Pirate Yakuza this weekend. And many into the future. Maybe a bit of Monster Train 2.
72 hrs in and Clair Obscur still got me wowing. It's simply the most stylish turn-based rpg currently. Taking it slow don't want it to end quickly. It's back Sekiro 29.99, I just need to beat this game, the simplicity and hidden secrets in texts that helps in beating enemies makes it a unique masterpiece just like all of From's games.
Now my heel is less bruised and I can put some moderate pressure on it I think I'll hit up the old rally sims,a bit of forza horizon 5 and then chill out this evening with some first berzerker. British grand prix tomorrow which I'm looking forwards to. Have a smasher of a weekend people 👍
I’ve been playing Two point museum on and off, I’m unsure if I like it as much as the others. I’ve decided to play duck detective for the time being for some light hearted fun in this never ending heat.
1 word.
Myst.
5 words.
That bloody space ship puzzle
Slaying snow elves with Serana in Skyrim.
Coming towards the end of cyberpunk. I took a gamble on this one because of a problem with motion sickness in first person games, but I’ve eased myself in with shorter play sessions and I’ve been mostly fine.
I’ve really enjoyed my time with this game but it’s def more linear than I was expecting. I’m mostly just travelling from point a to point b and ticking off objectives. I should probably spend some time just exploring map markers and seeing what happens before I finish the story.
Rugby from 4am to 10pm today. Watching the Lions right now, but I have Death Stranding 2 going on the Portal.
Taking my time with Death Stranding 2 and really enjoying it. Finally picked up Returnal in the current sale but probably will hold off until I finish Death Stranding. Matchups in the Club World Cup today actually look decent (on paper) so will try to tune in for some of that as well.
Elex 2 this week. Loving it so far, although the reviews were a bit mixed for this one. Like all Piranhabyte games I've played, it does exploration and levelling very well. And as usual it starts you off as a complete weakling so the first hours are spent running away from dangerous giant chickens. Finally, it has an upgradeable jetpack, and like ME Andromeda, that makes it easy to overlook any flaws.
I also met this peculiar fellow in a bar, that just so happens to look precisely like how I imagine the average PushSquare commenter ;-p
Im still on atelier yumia while waiting for Wuchang
Hopefully finish off Deliver at all Costs, interesting story as I approach the end but the music grinds my gears!! Maybe a bit of Ridge Racer & Helldivers 2 on the Portal. Gonna finish Squid Games too!
@Nye1779 you have given me flashbacks of that Pagoda Prison 😬 pain in the back side that section but an absolute masterpiece of a game for me, glad you are enjoying it.
Still keeping on with Death Stranding 2 and it’s everything I hoped it would be from top to bottom. An incredible piece of work from Kojima again.
Other than that I dabble in First Beserker; I am three bosses away from being done.
Lastly, I’ll dive into a few backlog games when time allows.
We've been on a family trip this last week so I havent played as much as I usually do. I brought the Portal, so I've played some Oblivion (still buggy but very fun and nostalgic to play) and I've picked up The Crew Motorfest in the sale so switching to that from Horizon. I've just tried a bit of Motorfest and it seems pretty fun, and its obvious Ubisoft has looked a lot at Horizon when making their game which is fine by me!
Just wanna say, as I’ve said many times before, how happy I am with the Portal! Its working great, and games like Oblivion and Motorfest can imo be played without much problems at all with a fast connection. Playing PvP games like CoD or Apex legends dont work well enough though, there is always a bit of input lag and in games like that it affects gameplay to much I would say. Still, the Portal is great 🙂
Playing Death Stranding 2 with my daily GT7 Spa credits/roulette ticket grind in between.
I bought Daymare 1998 last week and started it the other day and enjoying that so far.
I'll be on that I think if I get a chance to play on anything
Edit. It's Daymare 1994 I got. The prequel
It's been 10 years since I last completed The Witcher 3, and I am now close to finishing the main campaign and all the side content for the second time. After that, it will be on to the two expansions, which I have never played before...
Trying to stick to a single game has had me in a funk lately, so I've been floating around. Put some time into Resident Evil Village last weekend and had a lot of fun - picked up a few more trophies including Dashing Dad. I don't think a platinum is in the cards for this one though.
I gave the demo of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth one more shot. There are still things I do not like about it, but I was able to get a hang of
the combat this time around. Found a new copy on eBay for $40, so I bought it.
On deck for this weekend will be Axiom Verge, Judgment, Octopath Traveler, and one of the other RPGs I've been dipping in and out of - Soul Hackers 2, Metaphor, or Expedition 33. It's amazing to have choices.
Have a great weekend, everybody.
I regret to inform that I have spent too much time ranking Ascension in Slay the Spire. Such a crazy good game - can't even start Balatro not when StS exists.
Also, I have played as the necromancer in Diablo 4 and had to quit due to boredom after leveling up to having skeletons, skeleton mages AND a golem. The magic of what Diablo was is definitely gone for me. It now feels like a mobile horde game (I haven't actually played those of course).
I also played Powerwash and progressed three jobs into career mode until I had my fill FORever. Fun game and addictive gameplay, but also it is as fun as doing the dishes, and if I have dishes to do then why postpone it?
Furthermore, I played Like A Dragon which is okay and intriguing in terms of story and characters. I really don't like the turnbased combat, but maybe it evolves into more later on. Right now, I am on the 'Rock Bottom's chapter.
I also booted up Ghost Recon, but the age of the game is showing. It is just a half-bad shooter now. And speaking of half-bad shooters, I also play Destiny II's story mission to see the culmination of the story. So far the witness is a bit lame.
Last but least, I retried AssCred Odyssey but I just don't like AssCred (I played 2 which was super fun) and how it plays as an action RPG.
This is the power of PS Plus - the Netflix of gaming. I am having fun, sort of, but in my backlog the real good games are waiting. I kinda knew I wouldn't be able to play my owned games, as I am too focused on 'getting my value' from the library of rentals.
Shadow of the Colossus on PS5 Pro in quality mode. What an amazing game!!
I have the worlds greatest backlog and after two kids my backlog will have to be finished by the next generation:
@Kiefer-Sutherland I remember ACG reviewing this and saying it was good if a not a little janky. It's in my backlog
Just finished High on Life. Although its a fairly limited game, its still enjoyable and very funny at times. Im going to try and start Pyre this weekend.
Have a nice weekend everyone
@Kiefer-Sutherland I'm intrigued by this.
A review I just watched implied it's combat is frustrating and looks like it's the lions share of gameplay.
How are you finding the combat and is it 60fps do you know?
I'm on DS2, chapter 4. Enjoying the gameplay, but oh boy the story feels like I'm being beaten with a bag of oranges, dear lord.
Thank god the gameplay loop is as addictive as it is!
KCD2 for me...still. Really enjoying taking my time with this one and I hope it's instilled a degree of 'take your time, enjoy the moment' that I can carry over to DS1 as I'm determined to enjoy/finish it before I invest in DS2. But, for now at least, it's all about mastering my combat and boosting my alchemy stats in KCD2.
Death' Door (PS5) - Forgot i had this on plus, great wee zelda like game.
Anger Foot (PS5) - Quite literally putting my size 9's through everything in this brilliant FPS.
@mac_da_man I agree, the Portal is one of the most underrated systems of all time.
Still putting more hours in on my replay of Forza Horizon 5, endless fun. Same with Fantasy Life i.
Thinking of starting dargons dogma 2, its been in my backlog too long!
Whatever you are playing this weekend, I hope you have fun!
@Mostik I'm loving it. Went in a bit wary as read about the invisible walls and amount of bosses but those things have not bothered me at all so far, boss fights have been amazing. Chapter three is jumping all over the place but still enjoying it. Have a great weekend
Playing Elden Ring with a friend completely in co op thru a seamless co op mod. Really hope FS tries to implement it on their own in future games. It's super fun
@Northern_munkey
Nice to hear your heeling up! Couldnt resist the pun.
Ill be watching the GP too mate, its pretty competitive!
A few of us chat F1 in a thread on the forums here if you are ever interested 😃
Guaranteed more Horizon Zero Dawn. Absolutely loving this game, and I'm quite annoyed with myself for sleeping on it for so long. At some point I should continue the main quest though...
Outside of chilling with Aloy, I'm thinking either Naughty Bear or The Sims 3.
Mech Break on steam. Haven't had a mech game this sweet since Zone of Enders. AC was fun but these Gundam type mech are more my preference, gameplay is solid too.
Still playing FF7 Rebirth. 150 hours in and been playing since Feb…
I'm hoping to fight Lagiacris in MH Wilds ( already fought Steve) after going to see Australia vs West Indies 🏏 today.
Happy gaming everyone!
My girlfriend left the Switch at mine so it's Breath of the Wild and Mario Kart time. I've never played BotW before and it's a great game. Playstation controls are just so ingrained in my mind that I can't get used to anything else. So I keep pressing the wrong buttons.
Meanwhile I'm carrying on with Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order where I know how to hit people.
Playing through Lies of P Overture
Excellent DLC so far, and just what you want from a DLC.
Wrapped up Forgive Me Father plat tonight, debating on what to start next. Possibly Black Myth Wukong. 🍻
Hiting the streets with Kiryu in the awesome Yakuza 6. Amazing game so far!! Also, just cleared another area in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, but I know there is a lot more to see. I'm very close to finish Soul Reaver 2 Remastered too. So much gaming haha, we love it!!
@Titntin thankyou and thankyou..I dinged my heel at work (I ran my own heel over with a pallet) and it's been badly bruised all week. At least I can depress my accelerator pedal now without grimacing or should that be grim-racing?
Hello there fellow gamers.
This weekend it´s all about keeping on with Death Stranding 2, wich is a phenomenal sequel all around.
Just met the character Rainy, who...... Makes it rain.
Gotta love Kojima-san weirdness 😜
I´m also making bridges and roads. Lot´s of them.
And some Street Fighter 6 and Mario Kart World online.
Cheers everyone and happy gaming weekend to us all
@Titntin also if you need a forza buddy add me on psn and i hope you enjoy dragons dogma 2.
Hello friends
First @Fiendish-Beaver you are going to love those two expansions. Heart of Stone is particulary amazing. One of the best stories and characters writen. And Blood and Wine still has one of my favourite side quests. I was laughing all the way;
Second @Northern_munkey It´s good that your healing nicely. That kind of bruise can be really nasty in terms of pain and mobility. Enjoy the GP;
Last, but not least @ErrantRob Death Stranding 2 does feel so far like a true sequel should be. Keep the things that work and improve upon them. Kojima Productions worked very well.
I will probably play First Beserker Khazan when I finish Stellar Blade. Wich could be a while. But heard good things about it.
Cheers and have a good one y´all
I should know later today if my PS5 is repairable after over a week of waiting for it now, so best case scenario, I’ll be picking it up tomorrow and playing some Death Stranding 2 finally!
Other than that, I’ve been out with family the last two days and today, so, while I do have my Switch 2 on me, I’ve not played it. I can see myself showing off Welcome Tour and Mario Kart World at some point.
This weekend I am trekking the plains, hills, and desert landscapes in Death Stranding 2, delivering precious cargo. My MP3 player has tailor made playlists for my traveling needs, and I have a varied arsenal of weapons to combat any hostile situation while on my journey.
I have to say - DS2 is a masterclass in every facet. That’s not hyperbole; it really succeeds on every level. The story is compelling and paced brilliantly. It’s also much easier to understand and follow along than the first game, but it still has the heart of Kojima within, with mysteries and bizarre things unfolding. Characters are interesting and fleshed out, all having their own unique identity’s and backstory. The cinematography is gorgeous, with an incredible art design, while the animation is punching above its weight. One word: Dollman.
Last but not least, there is gameplay. Traversal and combat itself has been upgraded since its predecessor. It all controls very well and is balanced between the two, especially when having to partake in both at the same time. You have a wide array of options to tackle these scenarios that will suit your play style whilst providing meaningful upgrades consistently to change your strategy if you deem it necessary. Don’t let the naysayers fool you - this is way more than a “walking simulator”. It might just be one of the best open-world sandbox games ever made, because it doesn’t forget what a game is ultimately meant to be: fun.
It’s genuinely hard to discuss this game properly without providing spoilers because there is so much depth within each episode (chapters). To say anything about the mechanics is only ruining the surprise - and believe me, I’m only 30 hours in, but I’ve been blown away by the amount of tools the game offers you. Simply saying that feels like a disservice to the player(s) that haven’t had a chance to play the game yet.
Death Stranding 2 is a remarkable achievement in game design, and one of the best sequels to a game I’ve ever played. It’s a game I didn’t know needed and has become one I’ll never forget. I’m utterly blown away. This is the PS5 experience we have truly been waiting for.
@RaZieLDaNtE thankyou
I'm back on Tomb Raider IV-VI remastered, going for the platinum on 4 at the moment. The added touches to the environments really help bring the game to life.
Plan on continuing the Lies of P DLC
Monster Hunter Wilds, Lunar Remastered Collection and Street Fighter 6.
Thank you, @RaZieLDaNtE. I am indeed very much looking forward to it.
Enjoy your gaming this weekend...
Playing the recent Alone in the Dark game. About 2/3rds into it. Not sure why this got bad reviews. I am enjoying it so far.
Streets of Rage 4 is so good! Fun platinum and great new characters!
As for me. Just finished Diablo IV campaign. Thinking if I’m gonna keep going. Also playing ESO and Star Wars: Outlaws.
Finished Expedition 33 last week (it was OK), so now I'm playing Raidou Remastered which I'm already enjoying a lot more.
Some good updates and changes (some not so much). But it's good.
Jut finishing prince of persia the lost crown what a fantastic game got the dlc as well have a great weekend all
@Propaperpusher it's amazing isn't it
@Kraven great passionate summary. Death Stranding (1) was a great gaming experience for me, even though there were a few bottlenecks with janky combat and having to replay a couple of segments (damn you, Beach Bound Mads) because of the moments you can make (otter absailing, freeform dance moves using the balance mechanics in time to the 'end' credits music etc and the journey and spectacle itself being so unique) and I've been pondering whether to just buy 2 now, even though I don't think I will be able to get stuck in to it yet because of my current gaming dedication being on the very casual side of the hardcore/casual vendiagram.
But I think... I shall, based on people's reaction like this. I'm even tempted to get the CE, but logic kind of tells me that I don't really need a 15 inch Magellan Man in my life 🤷♂️😅 edit: oh no, the box has the otter on it in a new form 😭 'Buy Now' finger is lingering 😭
Doom the Dark Ages for me. It is really fun. But man, my reflexes are not what they used to be. Sometimes a demon hits me, and I respond two days later! 😃
Have a good weekend everyone!
@iPaud Supergiant is an amazing studio. All their games are great-they just don’t miss. But I think I have things reversed from most people. Pyre is my favorite game from them (I can’t get enough of the music, the great characters, and that world, and the magic soccer like game is really fun), and Hades is my least favorite (It is still great-just not my favorite style of game).
All this to say: I think you are in for a treat with Pyre!
Death Stranding 2 and SF6 for me.
@RaZieLDaNtE Khazan has made a lot of changes since it first came out, so by the time you get to it I imagine it’ll be ina very strong form. Added difficulty options are nice as it’s the hardest Soulslike I’ve ever played.
And DS2 is exactly what Kojima needed it to be as you said. Refined gameplay and more of his weirdness and vision!
Enjoy your weekend my friend!
@Kraven I agree on all you said about DS2. Dollman is a blast!
No one seems to have mentioned, and I am sure this is not on accident, that Kojima chose the voice actor for Dollman who also happens to play Jesus in The Chosen. Surely the tiny doll who helps guide you and give you advice being the character of Jesus in another piece of media is no accident on Kojima’s part.
My car died (after 21 years) so I am buying a much newer model of the same car today. It has been a huge distraction from my career with Draw Bridge so I can’t wait to get this wrapped up and get back to my deliveries.
Now that I am finally done with It Takes Two I will be moving on to some other games.
CoD: WWII ( Series X) Still my favorite CoD of all time. Will be doing some more of the Campaign today.
Madden 25 (Series X) Still doing my fourth year on the Denver Broncos. Currently we are 7 and 0.
Top Racer Collection (Series X) Picked this up on sale the other day one of my favorite racers on the SNES. Will be going through then first game this weekend.
Mortal Kombat 1 (Series X) Been in a Mortal Kombat mode lately so I figure I would play through the story of this one for the first time. I enjoyed 11's story so I am kinda of curious where this one goes.
Have a great weekend everyone.
I’m still making my way through Death Stranding, but a new Brandon Sanderson book came out, so that’s my main focus for my free time!
Death Stranding 2. Taking my time with it. Doubled back to Mexico as soon as I could just to get the upgraded boots, and instead found myself trying to max out the 5 stars with the Mexico distros and preppers.
A little bit of GT7 Sport Mode. They've got the Honda Civic race car around Tokyo Express Way, which is always a riot of a combination.
Other than that doing some reading as I decided awhile ago to read the Dark Angels chapter books from the Black Library. However, having just read the list of recommended books, it may be too many books for the years I have left on this earth. Who really has time to read 100+ books!?
I’ve put a crazy amount of time into Death Stranding 2, I was looking at the Main Order screen while I was rescuing a person and the status was “Out for Delivery”. Made me wonder if the distribution centres have an app that says “You rescued friend is 6 stops away!”
Don’t even ask about The Blue Prince, I’m on day 200, and about 200 hours in. I’ve almost cleared all the crates from the tunnel. At this point it’s a full-on obsession.
Have a great weekend folks!
I'm not playing much, having a bout of can't-be-arsed's this weekend... I may be able to bring myself to do some more Metaphor Platinum progress because NG+ is pretty braindead easy busywork.
@Northern_munkey
"and then chill out this evening with some first berzerker"
Excellent game though, apart from the frequent and horrible colour filters, and not as difficult as a lot would have you believe - I found it hard, but very fair (well, maybe except the last boss if he got into spam happy mode).
I’ve dug out the VR and am doing laps in Driveclub VR. Great racer.
@Westernwolf4 i finished Doom Eternal for the first time last week, i ended up dialing it down to the easiest mode and the last area still took forever. I think i described it last week like being repeatedly punched in the just by Geoff Capes wearing a barbed wire mitten). Really hoping Dark Ages has regained sanity. I loved Doom 2016
@Rich33 I'm not to bothered about the colour filters and it's got difficulty settings now. Seems to be more balanced than it was before the new update. Wicked game.
@playstation1995 Cheers right back at you for the shout-out, plus you have listed an excellent group of games to play for this latest WAYP.
One little side thought from reading your plans is that I've not played the first Psychonauts game in ages.
I gave it a quick search, and it turns out that based upon its US release, the PS2's version of Psychonauts was 20 years old this June 2025.
It doesn't feel like as far back as June 2005 for the PS2's Psychonauts release, although I guess that 2005 was relatively late in the PS2's overall life cycle.
Anyhow, enjoy your gaming time this weekend, playstation1995!
Multitasking this week. Finishing off Elder Scrolls: Oblivion Shivering isles DLC for the 100% completion. And finally getting the Topspin 2k25 platinum. With a bit of Jurassic World: Evolution. For a more chill experience. Happy Gaming All
@Northern_munkey
Yeah, really hoping for some dlc / a sequel for this one.
The First Bezerker Khazan. The addition of normal mode has made this game playable for me, finally. I had made about 25% progress on hard difficulty, but after getting slammed continually for about 2 weeks I put it aside a few months back. It's tolerable now and I am loving it. Also finally working through Lies of P Overture and getting reamed in that as well. But after beating the main game on hard mode I'm going to keep plugging away. Is it just me or is Overture way harder? I think I need a breather and need to play some Astrobot or something. These brutal games are killing me, but I can't stop playing them.
@Steeleye50 @Rich33 indeed some dlc,an expansion or a sequel to khazan would be very welcome. I haven't tried lies of p overture yet but I'll get round to it at some point.
I started Octopath Traveler on the Switch ages ago, but picked up in the recent sale. So started that, and can’t believe how much better it looks on PS5. Happy gaming everyone!
New Super Mario Bros. 2 (3DS) - Cleared World 3 and moved onto World 4.
Gears POP! (Android) - Continuing my YT vids on it.
Gun Bros (Windows Phone) - These last few levels have ahd a sky high difficulty spike...
Replaying Zelda: BotW on Switch 2. Finally playable in 60fps and at a resolution that doesn't insult your 65" 4K TV purchase. Also replaying selective levels from Astrobot. Untill the new 3D Mario, this game is my favorite platformer.
@Steeleye50
Overture feels considerably harder to me, but it has been a while since I played Lies of P, and I did start from a completed NG+2. The new enemies/bosses just feel a bit relentless at times. I will say though that I have really enjoyed some of the new weapons, after really only using a couple throughout all of my previous playthroughs. The bow is excellent for levels, the claws for bosses. One weapon to also consider is the flame lance (its something like puppet of the future welder) as it sets on fire really easy, and made a couple of bosses easier.
They have added at least 1 easier difficulty mode recently, maybe 2, but I haven't tried them.
@Northern_munkey
Im about 2/3 of the way through Overture and think its great. Its more of the same, but thats not a bad thing in my book, but is crafted really, really well.
Its only problem is that its new enemies and bosses with their more relentless attacking, do tend to expose its biggest weakness in combat - in that as a result of quite underwhelming dodges and large health loss on block, unless you perfect block a lot the enemies can sometimes just keep attacking, with little to get them off you, major health loss, and very little opportunity to hit back.
I still think its fantastic though overall.
Destiny 2. Just finished whole Heresy epizode and Dryad catalyst. Now going to rank up by doing legendary campaign and trying to get Microcosm exotic and hunter exotic cape.
I’m on vacation and the Portal is t working well on this shoddy lake house WiFi so I’ll be digging into Bayonetta 3 on the Switch. It’s surprising how much this game reminds me of Final Fantasy 16. Some of the boss fights are reminiscent of Eikon fights and I’m really happy to be finally playing this game.
Final fantasy 16 loving the combat and Clive is a fun character and possibly the best English voice acting for a main character
I finished Chapters 1 & 2 of Death Stranding and it took me 9 and 1/2 hours. I took my sweet time with it hoarding as many packages as I could find though.
Now, I’m taking a break and replaying Persona 3 Reload. Gonna do one “dungeon phase” at a time then take massive breaks in between tbh
@Onearmbandit Havent played Diablo in years. Been playing Diablo 4 like crazy since it dropped. Awesome game.
Doom mods on the Retroid, Doom TDA on the PS5.
Probably some PS2 racers.
Also, I heard that the Switch 2 GC games have like 8 frames of lag, so I decided to get Fzero GX on my Retroid. Runs perfectly.
I've been playing some games from the ps4 era. Shadow of War and Tomb Raider definitive edition. They still look and play great
@spakai honestly my PS5 is almost entirely for PS4 games. There's just more great stuff to play.
@Dman10 it's not bad. I got it at launch and it had some bad tech issues at that time.
Its just no where near as good as it's contemporaries though
@og_gamer23
Cool 👌 I’ve just finished Days gone so I’ll hopefully 🤞 I’ll be delving into the world of Diablo this afternoon.
Started Clair Obscure and man what a game. It is living up to all the hype I heard about it, the story, the writing, the combat all amazing.
Tried to give Diablo 4 a go. At first I was happy that it seems the DLC is included as well (rarity for PS Plus). Then I tried to play. Lagging everywhere. A single player game. Forced online, lagging all over the place to the point it’s unplayable for me. Sure, I’m using the PS5 in the bedroom that isn’t hardwired. I could switch to the other and drag my arse to the living room, but it’s already put such a bad taste in my mouth that they do this for a single player game that I don’t want to give them any more “engagement hours” for their stats. They can screw themselves. Lots of other games to play.
@Rich33 Thanks. I am finding it much more difficult. One issue though is I beat the game twice, then bought the DLC. Sadly it didn't work. After some online research, it turns out that the copy I bought off Amazon was actually from the UK (I'm in America) so it was not compatible with the DLC which was on the American PS store. So I bought the game again digitally on the last PS sale. I then had to start everything from scratch since my save file was also incompatible, and play through the game again until I got to chapter 9. It's been really frustrating. So I'm not leveled up anywhere near what i was previously, along with having to re-earn weapons and items. I've been stuck on the first boss the last day or so and think I am just going to tamper down the difficulty, because it's just getting really frustrating at this point. Take care!
@Northern_munkey I think I saw a trailer for some new DLC for Khazan, so there is that to look forward to. It's an amazing game. Lies of P Overture is great but it is much more difficult than the base game. There are however, 3 difficulty options now. Have a good one!
@Steeleye50
That is some really bad luck - I say luck, but the US and UK versions really should be compatible, and if not I would have hoped it would have been difficult to buy the UK version if you are in the US.
If I were in your position, I think that difficulty would be going down too - I will say that Overture has some good weapons and a reasonable amount of the top tier upgrade materials, so hopefully things should level out a bit later on.
Hope you have fun with it.
Alrighty we got another awesome WAYP. Been an interesting week of all sorts of games all over. Really fell in love with some Mario Kart World this week that’s honestly the GOAT. But also played some WWE and Indiana Jones and all that. This weekend mostly featured a game beaten alongside my wonderful girlfriend. That being AI: The Somnium Files Nirvana Initiative. Honestly it was really cute and charming seeing her reactions to where the game goes towards the end of it. It’s a great game and I can’t wait for No Sleep For Kaname Date towards the end of this month. Rest of the weekend I think is gonna be taken up with a pretty marathon session of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle to beat it. Just wanna do the last Fieldwork and then wrap up the main story. Then I can reinstall stuff like Doom The Dark Ages and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. Or even better I got my grandmothers birthday gift of Death Stranding 2: On the Beach this week and I am chomping at the bit to install it and start it. Wanna get back to and beat Assassin’s Creed Shadows before Ghost of Yotei comes out as well. Most of the week I think tho is gonna be full of some Switch 2 fun like Mario Kart World for my Girlfriends birthday with her family or some Rune Factory Guardians of Azuma to scratch that farming itch. Gotta try to get back to Raidou Remastered too. That game has a lot of charm. Can’t wait for Donkey Kong Bananza too. Wrestling thing of the week has to be the absolute buffet of things we got from WWE this week. On top of the regular shows we got NXT The Great American Bash, Saturday Night’s Main Event, and the all women’s PLE EVOLUTION. All in all a absolutely banger lineup. Anime of the week gotta go to My Hero Academia Vigilantes, Guilty Gear Strive Dual Riders, Gundam Gquuuuuux, and Sakamoto Days. All excellent as always. Podcasts of this week gotta go to Castle Superbeast, Big Think Dimension, Into The Aether, RPGsites Tetracast, Minnmax, Jeff Gerstmann, Kit and Krysta, Punching Up, Easy Allies, Second Wind, Nextlander, Cultaholic Wrestling, Weapon Wheel Podcast, Let’s Anime and Remap Radio. As always yall stay safe, be cool to each other. Have a totally safe and cool weekend. And of course Happy Gaming.
@Rich33 Yeah I was adamant about purchasing it again, but I loved the game so much I just went ahead and did it. I am loving the DLC though. I'll probably turn the difficulty down and on my next playthrough try it again on hard. Take care!
@KidRyan Update: I ended up having to ask a friend to ace the "Impress the Nobles" minigame, he got it first try.
I've had no issues with the other trophies since, though I'm dreading the Tetra Master game. I suck at it.
