Two weeks before its PS5 launch, Arc Raiders developer Embark wants its servers slammed in a final beta test to make sure it can offer the best possible experience to players for the full release.

With no sign-up or pre-registration required, the Arc Raiders server slam takes place from 17th to 19th October, and will be available via a simple PS Store download. "ARC Raiders invites players back topside to raid once more on the map Dam Battlegrounds, and to experience elements of progression, crafting, and quest systems ahead of launch." While the progress you make won't carry over into the final release on 30th October, you will get a bonus item for it: a backpack cosmetic.

Executive producer Aleksander Grøndal said the studio is looking to put the Arc Raiders servers through their paces. "Our goal is simple: make sure that on October 30, when the servers go live, every player experiences the game exactly as we’ve intended — polished, balanced, and ready for action." By stress testing the servers now, the team will be able to identify any major issues.

Embark has also opened up pre-orders for the game on the PS Store, with a standard edition costing £32.99 / $39.99 and the Deluxe Edition for £39.99 / $59.99. If you opt for the more expensive option, you'll get a range of cosmetic items, a bonus emote and skin, and 2,400 of what sounds like the premium currency, Raider Tokens.
