Do I need to play Death Stranding 1 before playing DS2?
@TerranIV Ideally, yes. If not, you'll want a comprehensive story recap on YouTube because what's available in DS2 doesn't do a very good job of recounting the first game.
I would play the first before hitting the second as the first was designed to get you familiar with the world, the rules, the pace and the small things around. There is some bad joke as “story recap” menu containing several text slides that summarizes the story of the first - so bad 😅
It costs probably a few bucks only nowadays, so give it a shot. If you liked what you see in 2, you will most likely love 1 as well.
@TerranIV I haven’t played DS2 yet, but considering how deeply lore heavy the first game is I’d assume yes. It’s definitely worth a play through and I don’t love Kojima nearly as much as most people, in fact, I thought it was going to be terrible, but I gave it a shot anyways and was so wrong.
