The inevitable Persona 6 just got an actual, official mention in a new player survey from developer Atlus.
Obviously, the game hasn't been announced yet — it's been very briefly alluded to in past interviews with key Atlus staff, but we've had nothing concrete. Well, up until now, arguably.
Having said that, Persona 6 was mentioned all the way back in a 2018 (!) survey. But this was well before projects like Persona 3 Reload had entered production, and Metaphor: ReFantazio had any kind of release window.

It's fair to say that Atlus' priorities will have shifted quite dramatically since then.
And so, this brand new mention of the long-awaited sequel (as spotted by series superfan Faz) does hold some kind of weight. At the very least, it's an official acknowledgement that it's part of the studio's plans.
The survey, by the way, brings up Persona 6 after asking fans about which Atlus title they're most looking forward to. Other answers include the recently revealed Persona 4 Revival, and potential remakes of older games, like Persona 1 and Persona 2.
Realistically, though, when can we see Persona 6 being revealed? Persona 4 Revival is, according to publisher SEGA's development timelines, targeting a launch beyond April 2026.
That's not exactly surprising, but said timelines don't specify a particular fiscal year — meaning that it could be a couple of years out for all we know, and we surely won't be seeing Persona 6 before the remake drops.
