Treyarch has today lifted the lid on the multiplayer portion of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 at launch, confirming there'll be 18 maps to start with, alongside 30 weapons and over 20 scorestreaks. You can get a taste for all of that in the trailer above, to the tune of Travis Scott.
Three maps will return from Black Ops 2, those being Express, Hijacked, and Raid. The other 15 will be completely new, and six of them can be sampled in the Black Ops 7 beta taking place next month. It begins on 2nd October, with early access for three days. The open phase runs 5th-8th October. Includng a new one called Overload (testable in the beta), there'll also be at least 15 modes to choose from at the full release.

Hijacked and Raid are good maps tbf. Haven’t played a COD since MW2019 though.
Am I the only player who literally never bothers to memorize the names of multiplayer maps? The only COD map(s) I know by name are Nuketown and Shipment (if that is the tiny one on a boat) and only because they tend to make such a fit about that those when they are included.
Otherwise... map names mean nothing to me.
That's some amount of maps though. Remember when people were complaining there were hardly any.
@nessisonett Yes those 2 great. Not a massive fan of the other one. The 3 of them are in Cold War.
Nice amount of maps at launch very good I look forward to giving it a go when it releases!
@MFTWrecks oh yes, 1200 hours into the previous Battlefield game and I was recently trying to describe a favourite map, via text, to an online friend. Even now, I can’t think of its name despite getting it online.
@BusyOlf I can't think of any map titles outside of Nuketown and Shipment. I can't even remember any of the names of the characters in the games either.
@captainsandman COD has characters? I think you mean "nameless chump [X]" where X is whatever C-tier actor they chose to model them off of.
Nope, sorry, only Battlefield for me this year.
I was surprised to see it's coming to PS4.
@Bentleyma I'm not - There are still a LOT of gamers on last gen hardware and a LOT that will buy. BO3 released on PS3 without a Campaign and only got the First of the DLC bundles to be released - it was the 'last' Call of Duty on Last Gen Hardware. So if they can scale it down and keep features (like Campaign) and sell Seasonal content/Cosmetics, they'll release it on Last gen Hardware to 'maximise' revenue potential...
I like the woman with the tattoos running around in a dress shirt and pants. Healthy amount of maps, but surprised they're holding Nuketown back again to release it a couple of months after release. Just have it in there from day 1, it's in every BO's game and it's not about to miss one.
My brain farts just watching it like it would playing it for hours on end.
That trailer music is terrible.
