Why on earth would Sony upgrade its games to PS5 for free. If the PS5 hardware can give the game a boost so much the better, but people actually expecting the game to be get a free upgrade to utilise the PS5 hardware is unbelievable.

I loved killzone on PS3 and I also loved shadow fall, still have them. Must play them again soon.

F1 2018, Dirt rally 2.0 and TLOU2. Making very little progress in any. The next game I play when I finish TLOU2 is going to be either Bloodborne or HZD.

I hope someday we will be able to look back with shock at these prices. Hopefully in the next few years.

What PD are trying to achieve is nothing short of mind blowing. Personally I can't wait but I think it'll be more like 2023. I think it'll be more than worth the wait.

Dirt rally 2015 has NO PATCH on 1X and has NO PATCH on PS4. It looks better on, not only Pro but also on the slim PS4 than it does on 1X. How hard is that to understand? Take your time and hopefully it'll sink in. As for the other games I compared while you were stalking me - Dirt rally 2.0, Grid 2019, F1 2019 all have a patch on 1X and Pro. Doh....! They look better on Pro. They look washed out on 1X. Grid 2019 which has a 1X patch has NO GRASS. It has GRASS on the Pro.

Dirt rally 2015 has no Pro or X patch and it's the most noticeable. It looks way better on Pro and washed out on 1X. Dirt rally 2.0 is 1X enhanced but it's install size is much smaller that PS4. It looks better with 4k mode on than Pro but doesn't look as good as Pro in 1080p mode. At the end of the day I like both consoles. I also like Nintendo but I gave them a miss this gen. First time I ever did that because I was a massive Nintendo fan and still am to a degree.

First up I've a Pro and an X. I have bought a few games twice for the consoles. I have all the Dirt rally games on Pro and X. Plus I had F1 2019 on both console's but I sold the PS4 version. What I've found is the installation size is always smaller on 1X compared to Pro. Sometimes up to 20gb smaller. What is happening is, the developer is trimming the data to allow it to run better on 1S. Textures are being trimmed and whatever to give 1S a better chance of hitting the targeted frame rate. The 1X is getting the same install as the 1S and texture are visible missing and can in comparison (and do) look washed out compared to PS4

That's my experience with Codemasters games. Other games like RE2 are far superior on 1X but my point is, it doesn't make all games look better. The 1S is holding back the 1X. I think this could be an issue with series S & X in the future, but who knows. One other area where the Xbox has an advanced over PS4 especially in the Dirt rally games is the Xbox controller is probably better for rally games due to the better feedback it has.

People have preorder PS5 not on the fact they know everything about the machine but on the back of Sony's pedigree in the console manufacturing business. When you buy into a brand you know exactly what you are buying into. You know the quality you are after and what you expect. That's what people are pre-ordering PS5 for.

I'm quite shocked that so many gamers are ready to give Sony a good luck in the nuts and wish Ms all the love in the world. I know I'm sticking with Sony on the PS5 and that it'll take time for the real AAA titles to hit the console. But they will come eventually. That's what I'm buying into.

It'll be real interesting when the dust settles in a year or two and Ms have no good games, because as far as I'm concerned nothing has changed at Ms. It'll be a repeat of this generation with a poor show on the first party games front.

The timing of the announcement of this acquisition is totally premeditated to coincide with the imminent release of series x and PS5. MS are desperate to sell series x consoles.

MS are looking at Sony running another one horse race and are desperate to keep them in check. They paid $7.5 billion for Bethesda! They're not going to win business men of the year are they? It's Bethesda we're talking about here, not Nintendo. If rumours are true they thought they could buy Nintendo a couple of years ago 😅

I think anyone buying a series x now will be buying a PS5 in a couple of years or even less.

I like that it's so interesting looking. It definitely has a air of the fat PS3 about it. We could actually see a slim and super slim version in its lifetime like we did with the PS3. It's like a spaceship.

I paid £70 for SF2 turbo on SNES. They were great times. That's the way we were in those days.

There was a time I bought the games I wanted as soon as they were released. I used to even have to catch the bus to Dublin so i could get the game, so game plus bus fare. It never even entered my head how much it cost me, I just wanted the game and that was all that mattered.

As I got older I rarely will pay full price. Infact I now get a satisfaction from getting a game on sale or price drop. I also used to be an early adaptor which I'm not now. The early adaptors are going to get fleeced.

I think the s is the worse option compared to the digital PS5. The 512GB SSD and underpowered chip-set is a no go for me. It could become a hit with parents on a budget who have younger children, who knows.

I personally can't wait to start playing some excellent exclusive games in 8k on my new TV when I get my PS5. 🙂

The packaging looks amazing. The console had some beautiful curves.

£250 will lure parents on a budget and not in the know into a sale. No disc drive, lousy first party support, underpowered and to top it off 512gb SSD. Thanks, but no thanks. Not ever would I buy this console.

I bought the Xbox one x cyberpunk console. I bought it purely because I thought it looked really good and it does. You don't get a code for the game with it, instead you have to claim the game when you first sign in. So it was difficult to sell the game, not impossible but difficult, so I just claimed it on my account.

I'm not joking when I say this, I couldn't be less excited about a game if I tried. I wasn't impressed by the Witcher 3. But because of the Witcher 3's success people automatically think this will be a good game. I don't. There is very little pedigree behind this game. I'm not haten, I'm just saying.

Still playing Everybodys golf on PS3. I at last have bought Red dead redemption 2, €20 brand new. I read it runs better on 1X but I think it would cause the console to overheat, so I got it for Pro where I intend to run it at 1080p something you can't do on X.

The last EA game I bought was a golf game in 2012. I wouldn't buy an EA game today because I don't like them.

I am playing Everybodys golf 2013 on my PS3. It so chilled and full of charm.

This "Gran turismo killer" is starting to loose traction. 😷

I decided to spark up the old PS3 last night and I was playing Hard corps uprising and Everybodys golf. Two great games.

I'm lucky to just finish a game let alone platinum it.

As someone who loved every Dirt game except Dirt 3. Maybe it was because Gran turismo was out at the time on PS3. Anyway I'm not that optimistic about Dirt 5. It's a different direction from every Dirt game this generation and I'm sceptical. Hopefully I'm wrong.

I'd love if Sega ported the original Virtual racer to PS4.

I still haven't opened the sunset orange DS4 I got last black Friday free with my PS4 pro. I might get a berry blue if I can get it discounted this year.

I didn't enjoy SOTC either. I packed in after the 6th or 7th colossus. I found it boring.

On my second play of TLOU 2. Normally I would never replay a game so soon. But it is just a masterclass in game design and so enjoyable to play.

I think there are a lot of dirty tactics going on at the moment trying to turn people against Sony and I think M$ are the ones behind it or to be more precise Phil Spencer. What I'd like to know is who is pulling Imran Khan's strings? Who's the puppet master and I'd guess Phil Spencer.

Not digging. Looks a bit like "spit" Forza horizon.

I'll wait for the Slim (presuming there will be a slim) and hope games will be plenty and maybe a Playstation Hits range. Basically I'll pick one up in about 3 years. I have a backlog with this current gen that can get me there, no problem. It's going to be good.

The only game on the list I've played is the last of us 2 and it's pretty amazing. I'm very sceptical about Ghost of Tsushima. Time will tell how "brilliant it is". I know I won't buy it until it's going for €20.
I also hope to pick up RE3 when it's cheaper.

I just completed it last night. Don't know but I clocked up 41.5 hours on the game save. I think it is the best game I ever played. I found the story confusing at times as i wondered what is the moral of this story and what is it trying to say. It was only on the final scene that it hit me what the game was all about and I burst into tears.

I didn't see it but I seen the list of games that were mentioned on pure Xbox and I'm not impressed at all. You couldn't make up a more drab list of games if you tried. Playstation all the way. Forza looks like the shallow imitation of Gran turismo that it is.

I thought it was a bizarre idea. Why would Sony or Nintendo allow M$ to put their game streaming service on their platform. Phil is a strange chap. I wouldn't like to work for him.

I'll still get a PS5 before I get a series x if I ever even bother getting a series x at all. It would be an aggressive move by M$ to offer free online however.

I plan on waiting for the PS5 slim before I jump into the next generation.

The biggest mistake Sony could make is to change their strategy. Exclusive games sell hardware, that is a fact. Nintendo proved it and Sony proved it. The industry doesn't need to change because of an overweight mouthpiece called Phil who's only objective is to try and force Sony into making a mistake.

Phil Spencer is a wind up artist trying to stir s***. He says one thing and does the opposite. He has now started the mother of all console wars and then says console wars are not good for the games industry.

I can't wait until the 23rd July to see this great line up M$ has that is going to revolutionise gaming. It's laughable the bull he is sprouting. More boring Halo and God knows what.

This is getting like the SNES / Mega drive war. I don't understand why Phil Spencer keeps talking trash but I reckon he'll be out of a job soon when this falls flat on its face. He knows M$ have nothing in the line of exclusive games. He is claiming they are going to keep supporting Xbox one for at least a year into the next gen. For my money they needn't bother if that support is anything like the support it has received in the last 7 years. I think he's turning into an unhinged idiot.

Sony have already won the next gen.
