Not a chance would I pay €70 or $70
I'm too old to be doing things like that. When I was younger I would have. The most I paid for a game was SF2 or SF2 turbo on SNES, I can't remember which one. They were impossible to get thanks to a fallout between Nintendo and Bandai who at the time were distributing Nintendo games in the UK. I bought a copy taken from the console pack for £70. That's a long long time ago. Now I try to buy games for €20 or less and I only buy new if I can.

If Sony did cut the price of the PS4 I'm going to buy another one 🙂

I have F1 2018 & 19 which are excellent even though I've barely touched them. The seller point that makes this a must buy for me is the Michael Schumacher content. I cannot stress how much Micheal Schumacher means to me. I don't really watch F1 nowadays but in the early 90s every second Sunday we were treated to greatness.

Tell me about it. I used to play a game to death in the 90s. Anything from 3 months to 2 years I would get out of a game. Nowadays the problem is deciding which game from my backlog to play next.

True digital is priced sky high. Tbh I wouldn't in a million years spend 60 or 70 euro on a digital download. I value my money more than that 🙂.
In shops like Argos and Smyth's newly released games are below €60.

I bought a few NES games for £50 each back in the day. That was the price.

The only full price game I bought this generation was TLOU 2.

Again I get a PS5 I'll probably be able to pick up Gran turismo 7 for less than €20 😅

I'll get a chance to play GTSport online. Pity I sold my steering wheel during lockdown. 😟

TLOU remastered plays brilliantly on PS4 and PS4 pro. Solid 60fps on pro and only minor dips on base model.

I'm going to try and Platinum it. It'll take me a couple more playthroughs.

Ms Pac-man has an interesting history. The game was developed by midway, I think. Ms Pac-man is the best Pac-man game imo.
If this is ever the right price I'll download it. I'm presuming it's download only.

I gave in and bought TLOU 2 for €60. I normally wait for a discount but I wanted to play it. I just got by the big introduction and I'm controlling a female character whose name I forget 🙂.

It's good, very violent. I'm not into violence but it works good here. It's got that same absorbing gameplay feeling as the first.

I love the first game and will be buying this. The only thing is the price. I'm gaming a long time and if I've learned anything, it is to wait for a sale. I really want it though.

Thanks for the heads up, I'm downloading as I write. Along with Uncharted collection, Pac-man championship edition, Journey and Lego Ninjago movie video game. It's been a good summer for free games.

Imo M$ are giving this the big sell because they don't have much else to sell "at the moment" of course that could all change. Naturally it'll be up to the developer if they want to improve a game. PS5 and series x can't work miracles they can only obey instructions.

I'm not a Nintendo fan but I was. Nintendo proved this concept works - software sells hardware. This plan is tried and tested. I'm so happy Sony has used this plan to sell their consoles over the generations and look forward to seeing what amazing games they can create for PS5. The consumer is the winner here.

The reason M$ is failing "even though I have a One X" is because they have failed miserably in the exclusives department. The X is a great console but PS4 destroys it when it comes to games.

Let's remember Sony have got really good at what they are doing, every generation is superior to the previous and the quality of their software is easily and if not better than Nintendo's. Amazing time to be a gamer.

I just finished replaying it on hard tonight. I was finding it a bit boring until Joel gets injured and Ellie takes over. It got really good at that point and stayed excellent until the end of the game. I think the PS4 remaster is very good. I'm left handed and there is no way to swap the sticks on the PS3 original which I felt was absolutely ridiculous. For precision aiming I need the sticks swapped.

I started the TLOU left behind tonight. TLOU is a masterpiece.

Gran turismo 7 had an amazing presentation video. I look forward to playing it sometime but it'll be a long time till I get a PS5.

Can proudly say I don't own one game in the top 10 and have no intentions of ever doing so.

Edit; sorry I have Forza horizon 4 as it came with my X but I have deleted it as it's not my type of racing game.

Eh and Gran turismo 7. It looks like it is still a couple of years away. I reckon it'll be worth the wait. I'm a bit disappointed it's not coming to PS4 but it looks amazing on PS5 and I'll be getting it someday.

This is kinda annoying. It just keeps selling. I had it for a short time. It was good for a laugh for a while, then it just gets annoying. The controls are diabolical and the graphics are subpart.

Hopefully we'll find out if GT7 is on PS5 or PS4 or both. I think it could go either way.

I got PC2 on Xb1 for nothing on Amazon. Played it for a few hours and brought it down to CEX. Nuf said.

Here, hang on a minute. M$ exclusives this gen were average at best and that being kind. I'm not going to tell lies in case it offends someone. This gen I've owned an Xbox one elite console and an Xbox one X. So far the best game I've played on my X was Resident evil 2 and dirt rally because the Xbox one controller is better for racing games

Because I have so little time I decided I was only going to play AAA titles and I still struggle to get through them.
I have a massive backlog of great games to play but those games are all on PS4. Whereas on Xbox one I have a few 3rd party games to play but no exclusives. Just because someone has an opinion different to yours doesn't mean they're a fanboy.

I bought death stranding in the sale but haven't tried it yet. Have you played it?

I'm not surprised to see Days gone there. I've been waiting over a year to get it at a good price. I am seriously thinking of getting a PS5 late in its lifespan and picking up all its great games for cheap, like they are on PS4 right now.

It's not like the old games have disappeared. They are still there, just buy a PS3 and play them. Why is it a God given right they should be playable in PS5? Because M$ have done it! We all see the mess they've made with Xbox one. And before you say anything, I have and Xbox one X. But I can tell you I'm not playing Xbox exclusives on it or 360 games or even original Xbox games because I'm not into absolute rubbish. M$ would be better to figure out how to release decent exclusive games. Something they haven't done in a very long while, if ever.

I'm still saying gran turismo 7 will be on PS4. On PS5 I'd like to see a new Uncharted game and even a new killzone. Ya know there are going to be surprises.

Sony's business plan is similar to what Nintendo did to sell its consoles. Software sells hardware. I was the biggest Nintendo fan ever but now I believe Sony are doing a far better job than Nintendo ever did. Sony have tweaked Nintendo's business plan and improved it massively with 3rd party developers always on board, generous game discounts on older games, superb hardware and all the time their software is getting better than previous generation and not being afraid to try new things and ideas. And last but not least - delivering software on a regular basis.

But yeah exclusives need to push hardware. It gives people a reason to buy a new console.

It is always an exciting time to be a Playstation fan. Next week's event will unveil the future, but what I also want to know is - is Gran turismo 7 on PS4 or PS5? This PS5 showcase may actually reveal Polyphony Digitals plans for their next installment of Gran turismo.

I picked up Days gone for €16.99, Death stranding for €26.99 and NieR: Automata Game of the YoRHa for €15.99 all from my local Argos which is now back open, thankfully.

I'll just stick them with my backlog 😁

As much as I would like to purchase day one. I have such a big backlog of games, that it would be a bit silly and wasteful. So I'll hold out for a better price. It is at the top of my 'most wanted' games list.

I'd obviously like to see the design of the PS5 but I'm also really interested in the first party games line up.

I don't think Sony are making many mistakes at the moment unlike M$ who think it's a race to get info out. The cream will be in the games.

If it's on PS5 it means the PS4 will be the first Playstation ever that didn't get a fully fledged Gran turismo game.
Plus every generation of Playstation console got at least 2 Gran turismo games.

I think it's very exciting that we are kept hanging and we should find out soon. Personal I hope it's on PS4.

I never played it. I've watched some gameplay videos and I'm not impressed. I'm also very cautious of any game being called a masterpiece. I wouldn't have the patience or 200 hours.

I understand what you mean. I would call it "magic". M$ don't have the magic that Sony and Nintendo have. Sony and Nintendo have an understanding of video games that M$ seems not to have, of what makes a game special.

People used to always mention Nintendo magic when they were reviewing Nintendo first party games. I also feel Sony first party games have that magic feeling. I'm not getting that magic feeling from M$ first party games.

I always wanted to play Mafia 3 but never got round to buying it. I'll try and pick it up on disc 😊
